Guest Reviews
- Anthony (8/5): - The property was good, but a little tired and needs some refurbishment , room was fine but self catering was a bit tricky regards utensils dish cloths no plugs for sinks , so made it a bit harder to clean up, pool ok for a dip , but needs new beds and brollys for shade , staff were very friendly and helpful , a little bit over priced but enjoyed our stay
- Rachel (8/5): - All staff were really friendly and welcoming
- Timothy (8/5): Hope you like kids - Property is fine, check in was easy. We stayed one night to link a few days in the yasawas to our next destination in Fiji. The property has residents as well as short term guests like ourselves. The unit next to our was a family with 3 or 4 small kids. They were running and screaming in the halls when we arrived at 7:30 pm, and they were running and screaming in the halls 12 hrs later, at 7:30 am, before we were up. Other than their loud playing, stay was good.
- Peter (10/5): - Shuttle was convenient
- Raelene (4/5): - Property was old but it was cheap clean and close to the airport
- Rio (6/5): - Only stayed for one night but it is
- Bernd (6/5): - It was a good place to spend the last night close to the airport with early check in.Friendly guy at the reception
- Esther (10/5): - The service at the Hotel was really good, I look forward to book again next time.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Tanoa apartments were perfect for a long flight layover. Amit, their shuttle driver, came quickly to Nadi arrivals & drove me to the apartments. Reception lady was very nice and I really appreciated the bellman taking my heavy suitcase to the room for me.The apartment was two stories overlooking the Nadi mtns & their tennis courts. The a/c was ice cold and wonderful. Sheets were crisp cotton, very clean & the beds comfortable. It was a great deal for $97USD. I was able to shower, rest & they r en gave me a ride to a fabulous Indian restaurant to pick up dinner. Their shuttle took me back to the airport in time for my night flight. Everyone was very nice & helpful. There is a pool with several covered seating areas for groups to play cards and talk. This was so much better than sitting in the dirty airport all day for my next flight. There is a full kitchen with stove and fridge and a living room area. Two queen beds were downstairs with a full bath & shower with great water pressure. Very close to the Nadi airport also and much cheaper than surrounding hotels but with more amenities.Highly recommend!
- Philip (8/5): Tanoa overnight - It was ok for the price. I slept well and staff were nice.
- Patricia (4/5): Desperately needs upgrading - The apartments are in a lovely position with views but the rooms are run down. So much easy stuff could be done to lift the place to an acceptable standard. Recover the stools. Get sheets that look clean. Clean the window with the pretty view from the kitchen. Wipe the seats by the pool of the dirt. Would go back if it had a makeover and a clean. Lovely staff
- Jonathan (4/5): - Arrived at the property late. checked in room.Safe not working, closet door off railing.Let front desk know, was promised to have it fixed next day.Was fixed three days later. On the 5th day found cockroches in the kitchen and around the fridge door around the casket.reported to front desk nothing was done. The towels had holes in them.Had to go to front desk to collect towels. No bath mats.Had to beg for them. The apartment is old but not cheap. No mantanance is being done.I will not stay in this place again even if offered free.
- Marie (8/5): - Always met with a smile. Free transfers to airport and to Tanoa International Hotel.
Room was spacious, with great views to the Mountain Ranges.
- Ayako (8/5): - A shuttle took ages to pick us up from the airport 😔
- Andrew (10/5): - Close to airport, supermarket and restaurants. Great to have well priced self contained appartments. Very comfortable beds. A great base in Nadi.
- Tanai (10/5): - Beautiful stay and very clean
- Rajendra (6/5): - Cockroch under nith the bed
And smelling like petrol in the room cant sleep whol night lot of noise
- Ashley (8/5): - Quite out of the way for walking and no restaurant on-sight (fine if you get transport and/or cook yourself). Staff are friendly and helpful. Layout is spacious like a one bedroom apartment (with 2 queens and 2 singles in a loft) rather than a hotel room, but in an older style. Nothing modern about it, but that was fine for us.
- Amina (4/5): - Excellent location. Bed and bedding not inviting. Old stools. Floor felt dirty and gritty. No tea towels. Old cutlery.
- Krishan (8/5): - provide breakfast and dinner
- Akanesi (10/5): - I would recommend Tanoa Apartment as your place to stay while you in Fiji. Just love the service they provided and the rooms are clean and most inportantly..the price is super cheap if you booked in at the right time on their special rates.
- Paul (4/5): - Very basic accommodation - No wifi service and lack of information on arrival - had to ask for towels. No coffee in the room and no food service.
- Graham (6/5): Rather tired - The hotel is rather tired and the service is pleasant but lacks attention to detail. No towels in my room when I arrived, no remote for the TV, security safe not working. I asked for fresh towels on the evening of my second day but they never arrived.
The shuttle driver was very helpful once you figure out how the system works.
- Sean (2/5): - The beds were clean. The rest of the place was dirty and stained. 3 messages to the hotel requesting airport pickup were unanswered. The shower didn't work. The kitchen was dodgy and without milk for tea. And there was a lot of noise coming from outside our room throughout the night.
- Irene (2/5): - The staff were very friendly & helpful the place is old & run down cockroaches scuttling on the kitchen bench cold tap on shower didn’t work only hot tap did. No glasses or cutlery in the kitchen. Would not recommend this place to anyone
- Partima (4/5): - I rented an apartment. Broken stove, missing knobs, walls with stains, door not very secure. Dirty floors, i had no intention to cook, but if wanted to then wont be able. kitchen had limited pots n pans, spoons. No towels. Asked at reception, then for them. Wifi available only in reception area. For breakfast had to go to another building by shuttle. Upon return, shuttle broke down somewhere and would take 1h, luckily I was able to arrange. Made other arrangement and checked out after 2 nights, original booking was for 7 nights.
- Shabrina (4/5): - Rooms were old and AC and fans were not working properly didnt have utensils to make teas and stuff rooms were not even ready when we checked in they gave us a different room
- Vikas (2/5): - There was no WiFi except a hotspot in the lounge where there is only 4 seats!
The appliances in the room are old and therr was no cutlery.
- Renon (10/5): - Great area with shops and eateries within walking distance. Very friendly service from receptionists to securities.
- Geoff (4/5): - So called apartments had literally no utensils. Basically an over priced, dirty dump.
- David (10/5): - The pool was great and property was clean
- Aiyaz (2/5): - Nothing !! The place is falling apart
- JAMES (2/5): - Never been more disappointed. Property is so run down and dirty. Our room was filthy. We found used masks, condoms, socks, toothpaste and rubbish under the sofa. There was blood stains on the mattress. Stains all over the carpet. The room smelled disgusting. Cockroaches in the fridge. The microwave was disgusting. Stove had stains. My list goes on. I complained to reception. They didn't want to refund our money. I asked to speak to the manager and they said he was sleeping. No one cares so we just checked out. Someone should do something about this.
- Patrick (10/5): - Lovely staff, plenty of room
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Definitely not going there again. Stayed in the one bedroom apartment. Terrible cooking facilities and utensils/cutlery. Very dirty and inadequate. Not like the photos online at all. Swimming pool was always full of noisy children and very dirty. Bathroom had a lot of mould and the couch had stains and dirt on it.
- Cagi (10/5): - Good stuff.very polite and good services, location was close to venue of the place our 50th golden Jubilee and close to all families
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The property was very good but cleanliness and maintenance has to be improved
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Only an over night stay. The shuttle bus from airport was handy and also used it to go over to the Tanoa Hotel for dinner.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great Location.
Building getting old, some amenities like WiFi not available in rooms.
T V reception not the best
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No food no air condition services so poor but expensive
- Reggie (4/5): - Quite run down, carpet upstairs had a blood stain. Sofa bed was sunken in the middle. It was quite cheap and the staff did try to be helpful to make up for general conditions.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great accmodating staff, priced right and treated well
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Scenic and it has a pool ideal for the hot Nadi weather.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - I like the location and service. But the rooms and Kitchener needs upgrading.
- Reddy (2/5): - This place needs a new manger who knows how to operate the place..Room given had blood stains on bed sheets, mold on shower curtain, dirty shower tiles , dirty kitchen, fridge and stove , old utensils and much more. Constantly had to ask for clean towels and amenities .Maintance personal did not fix broken fan and window latch which was told to fix after check in.I would not have stayed more than one night if I had not prepaid..Housekeeping staff Ela was very helpful . Expedia should not rate this place more than one star..Worst than motels.
- Mark (8/5): Comfort with friendliness - The room comfort was good and the staff really friendly and nice and very helpful. The pool was out of action so this was disappointing. The was no wifi and that was also difficult
- Meena (4/5): - The swimming pool was under maintenance which I wasn't told, had to tell so many times to have room cleaned and sometimes they said ok but didn't turn up.
Sane bedsheets were just tidied up instead of changing it because there was marks that was there, towels smell, was not in a standard that I expected.
- Kelly (4/5): Would not recommend. - First of all, there are three different tanoa hotels, this is the LEAST advertised and signed. Finally, arrived at the correct place (apartments on a hill), and reception was not there for a good 20 minutes. No number to call. Just had to wait. Talked to some fellow travellers, they had just gotten bed bugs from the place. Told the staff to check the room for bed bugs and they looked at me like they didn’t understand anything. After checking in, the staff left my photocopied ID on the counter and left the room. Had to check the bed for bed bugs myself, did not get them, but lost sleep thinking about them. 10/10 would not stay again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good stay - Room was basic but we expected that with the price. The staff are friendly and location isn’t too far away from activities most pick up from the hotel but for one cruise we had to walk to the neighbour hotel. Not a problem for us, but it is up hill. Overall good stay.
- Robert (8/5): Good Hotel After a Long Flight - The hotel is well situated. It is older, but clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic hotel close to the airport - This is very basic but serves the purpose if you are transiting via Nadi airport.
- Tony (4/5): Very disappointing. - No facilities at all. what more can I say , no food, drinks internet, nothing at all.
- Clare (10/5): Lovely spot, double the size of most hotel rooms. - Lovely room. A little older but much more interesting character than most boring hotel layouts. Staff were great. Made sure we had everything we needed on arrival
- Chris (6/5): Nice and close to airport - Good place to stay if in transit or on early flight. Some of our party were delayed on their air NZ flight and didn't get in until 12.30, lucky we had arrived early as reception closes at 11.00pm so were able to get their room key. Cheap and accommodating , free transit from airport and down to Tanoa International for a meal, usual Fijian warm welcome. Rooms pretty out dated and a bit musky, main bed was fine, but pull out couch had seen better days, overall for price, location and what with a early start had all we required for the night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very spacious room with a supermarket very close by.
- Pawan (10/5): Central location, clean rooms and beautiful garden - Very helpful staff (Meenami and Rejieli), close to airport but not near runways - peaceful, beautiful garden, sufficient kitchen, mountain views from bedroom and lounge and beautiful garden. Did not use pool (very clean) during 5 nights stay but used tennis court one morning. There was a safe in the apartment. The best part of the stay was sunset scene near pool. While leaving told Meenami that if we visit Nadi in future - will stay at these apartments.
- Verified traveler (4/5): centrally located - I WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE HOTEL STAFF AT RECEPTION AND RESTAURANT. VERY HELPFUL AND KEEN TO PROVIDE GREAT SERVICE TO ENSURE GUESTS ARE HAPPY.
I was disappointed with housekeeping. There were 3 people in my room and only 2 towels were left after room was cleaned on the 2nd day.
After first night, my husband and child were sleeping and and left the room at 2pm, despite having the sign" please service our room", we arrived to our room after 10pm and the room was still not serviced.
The rubbish wasn't emptied on the service days and blue swim towels were never replaced.
Hopefully with the feedback the house keeping can improve the services. We had 5 rooms booked out with families and I would recommend it again if house keeping can improve the little details.
Also there was no confidentialy, when a visitor asked for room number for a guest, they were given the room number details without permission from guest and a key was cut for a guest to go into another guests room .
my cousin from room 101 was not responding to calls or knocks at the door , and we asked reception staff to check if everything was ok in the room, instead of staff attending the room, they cut the key and handed it to a guest to go and attend the room.
This is wrong. More strick confidentiality and security measures need to be put in place for a successful management in the hotel.
overall, stay was standard and comfortable.
Thanking you
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The room smells like a curry house. It should be cleaned and smell good.
- Tevita (10/5): nice hotel & close to the shops & Nadi city. - We stayed for 6 nights. The deluxe room had a very comfortable living area and the bedroom was quite big and spacious. We were able to still fit a single bed for our daughter in that room. Even though the beds were double it was still quite comfortable. We loved the huge shower. The room was serviced every day so that was lovely to come back to at end of a tiring day out. The workers were very friendly and very helpful. We loved the quietness of the hotel. Was not busy and chaotic. Could not fault much about this hotel. Even though it is not modern we would definitely come back to stay again. The friendliness of the staff was outstanding for us.
- David (6/5): Lost in time - Lost in the 60s for decor and style, close to the airport with low prices, friendly staff, and clean, for one night it was ample for our needs.
- shelley (10/5): beautiful scenery - The grounds were so pretty with beautiful trees. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, I would definitely recommend these self contained apartments and stay there again. The only draw back was that there was no eating place or bar.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Ok for local or cheap accommodation - Its ok but maintenance is is not updated no ac in lounge
- kelly (6/5): Close to the Airport - A nice clean apartment with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The air conditioning was great and all the amenities worked well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Staffs are excellent - Everything is excellent except no internet acesss.
- vinny (2/5): Noisy dirty had to leave hotel at 11pm
- Never stay here you will regret . It's a old stinky hotel. If you go for the cheap price they sometimes offer you will regret
- Verified traveler (8/5): Tlnice comfortable hotel and convenient - This hotel was nice, comfortable and convenient to shops and the airport.
- Archana Devi (10/5): Very central and relaxing - I have stayed in many hotels and apartments and by far whn it comes to apartments this place proved to be the best. Very nice and laid back...I am even planning to have my wedding at there pool area
- Rhonda (8/5): Convenient location and quiet. Friendly Staff - Free Shuttle from airport, taxi and buses just down the road, accommodating staff, laundry facilities made this a good transition place enroute to islands. The majority of these apartments are full time rentals and daily rentals are in basement ( with a view) which had some mould issues. No wifi.
- Highly recommen (10/5): Nice ammenities - Like a real apartment! Has everything you need to cook; down to the pots, pans, silverware, plates, etc. It will save a lot of money from eating out. Furthermore, the staff is EXTREMELY nice. One even cooked for me! I'd definitely stay here again. Also, very safe, and close to airport and town. Only downside, no wifi.
- Apia (8/5): convenient location - helpful friendly staff. great location. however, need aircon in lounge too. aircons are noisy so maybe need cleaning n maintenance.
overall, enjoyed stay as staff are helpful n friendly which makes stay pleasantly comfortable
- Tuli (10/5): Nice hotel, away from the hustle and bustle
- Stayed at the Tanoa Apartments the night I arrived and also stayed for 2 nights before I returned to Australia. Extremely comfortable rooms, even though there is no restaurant here, there's a shop at the bottom of the hill across the road where you are able to get fresh fruit and veggies, meat, drinks, fresh bread etc. Staff are very helpful and friendly, nothing is a problem, and the shuttle bus arrived at 6.00 a.m. exactly as requested to take us to the airport, you can't get better than that. Have stayed here before and will definitely stay here again.
- Abha (10/5): Nice close to shopping - Very comfy and 24 hrs security and very well looked after
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good budget accommodation - We used this place as a base. We did not see many other guests so had the pool to ourselves a lot which was fantastic. The apartments themselves are very run down but the staff keep them as clean as they can. The down side of this apartment was the facilities, we had three people in our group but there was only one breakfast bowl to eat out of, they really need to supply more utensils ect. We ended up not preparing any meals due to this and the oven was so dirty and smelly that is was rendered unusable. This ruined the whole point of staying in an apartment where we could prepare meals, we had to dine out every night. The highlight of this place is the staff. Rachel, the other ladies and security guys are fantastic. They are wonderful people who are friendly and helpful. A big thanks for doing our washing when we were running short on clothes, it's little things like that that made our stay good.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This is an apartment very old one. There is not many facilities, the air conditioning was very old, all furniture, microwave oven, electric stove and kitchen utensils where really old and worn out. There was no ironing board or iron provided. The T.V was very old. They did not provide any spare toiletries like toilet paper. I had to constantly ask them to clean my room. On the final day I asked the receptionist to arrange for a taxi early next morning at 4am to talk me to the airport she said she arranged for it but she didn't. The security guards arranged for taxi 2000 to come but they did not turn up. The reception was closed on my check out day so had to give my key to the security guard.
This place clearly needs upgrading and proper services to be provided.
Thanks.
- Wainise (6/5): Not bad - Was comfortable and the staffs were lovely
