- Theresa (6/5): - The room is fine but the hygiene in the toilet is bad. For a budget hotel we are not asking for much but if they could clean the toilet better then it would be perfect.

- SFALLMYLIFE (6/5): - You get what you pay for. Do not confuse this with the other high end "Prince Hotel" in Tsim Sha Tsui. This one is in Mongkok and it’s a world of difference.
We needed a place to stay for one night in Hong Kong so we didn’t need anything fancy. I am still uncertain whether staying here was the right choice, but I will add info here so that you can decide for yourself.
Location:
Right on Nathan Road. The closes subway station is a 5 min walk (Prince Edward and Mong Kok station). There are a ton of buses that run on Nathan Road. Many airport buses pass through Nathan Road.
Price:
It very cheap at about $50USD per night. The quality of the place puts this at about $20USD per night, but due to its location, the price reflects this.
Telephone:
You cannot call them. Yes, I tried to look up their number and it is not an option. You can only communicate with the hotel via WeChat, but I must say that whoever is on the other end is pretty responsive. Since you have to send a friend request & it needs to be accepted, I suggest to you do this way before your stay here.
Hotel/Hostel:
This place is far from being anything close to a “hotel.” It is more like a hostel at best. It is small and very basic. There is NO street front for this place. It is located in the higher floors of an old building. Once you get to the building address, you must take the tiny elevators up to the 7th floor. When you arrive there, you pick up the phone to call someone & they give you a pin to enter into th
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very clean and good value for money.
Almost hidden it is very difficult to see. Advice on how to locate and check in would be useful to have on the Expedia page or in an email before checking day.
Otherwise it was in a good location in a downtown area, on a Main Street and near a train station.
- Verified traveler (10/5):

- Prechana (8/5): Great value for money! - It’s more like a motel. Nothing fancy but it’s great value for price. Everything was very clean. The room itself is quite small with a small bathroom.
The lady at the reception was very nice as well. Just one thing I would change: the noise control. You can hear every single thing happening outside which means people outside can hear you too.
Overall, I’d say that I was very satisfied with my stay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): -
- kery (2/5): - its the worst hotel
- Verified traveler (2/5): - the room very small. no desk, no chair. no window.
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
- Verified traveler (10/5): - the location was incorrect initially, so it took awhile to locate. I have already edited it on google maps.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good place to stay in hk. valued for the money
- Vangie (8/5): - Nice Hotel, because its located at the center of Kowloon, between Prince Edward and Mongkok MTR train station, within the market place and business center of Kowloon, the room and toilet are clean but small. The Hotel occupies only 7th floor of the Kingsland building the reason why its hard to locate, the landmark for this Hotel is Nathan Road corner Bute street. The Kingsland is the next building after Mcdonalds... recommended for those with tight budget..
- Ernestcfung (6/5): - You can’t expect too much. You got what you paid for
- Wai Man Mandy (6/5): -
- Verified traveler (4/5): Terrible Place to Stay - First, the address on google is misleading. It's a little hard to find. The hotel is in a building near the Mcdonalds, next to a pharmacy. You have to go up to the 7th floor from the inside.
On first glance, my room looked okay, just tiny. The size of the room reached from the top of the bed on down to the foot (about five feet across). The bathroom/shower combo took up about half of the room. You are given one pillow and a set of house slippers. There was a tv set, ac, shampoo, toothbrush, toilet paper, and a power strip to use. There was no electric water kettle, but there was a machine outside that would give hot or cold water.
The sheets weren't the cleanest. There were small stains on the fitted sheet, pillow and duvet. The bathroom was a bit moldy. The toilet leaked water with every flush (imagine brown or yellow water seeping out onto the bathroom tiles). Also, the toilet itself didn’t refill its water consistently. A couple times, I had to manually take the cover off and refill the toilet bowl. Also, the shower water never got warm!
Every time I returned to my room, I would find at least two cockroaches. Once, a cockroach fell from the ceiling onto my pillow. I spent the rest of the nights anxiously worrying if more would crawl on me as I slept. Staff also didn't clean out the trash consistently.
What really got me, was the sign above the light switch bribing customers for a good review. Supposedly if you left a good review, you’d receive a “free gift!”
- Multi (8/5): Just renovated , great location and relative good - Close subway, airport bus.
Just renovated, clean.
But no window in the room rented, quite small room. Just for sleeping and rest.
Great but don't over expect , this is a hostel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The front desk staff were nice; internet connection is not good; room is very small; not enough room to put our 2 carry on suite cases, we need to stack them; washroom is tiny; bedding are old but clean; excellent location, close to MTR, buses, restaurants, shopping.
- HELEN (2/5): - It's not a hotel...
- Sai kit (8/5):
- Rio (8/5): small hotel in crowded area - The hotel is small and not that easy to find. The bedroom I got was small as well but I understood the price I paid for this bedroom could only help me get this kind of hotel in Hong Kong especially in its most crowded area. But I don't like the smell of the room as well as its cleanliness of its bed.
- Eunkwang (4/5): Not good - Very bad...unforgettable experience..
- Siu Lan (8/5): A good budget room - My family of 5 booked the room last minute for two nights. This room was just what we needed; a place to sleep, shower and recharge equipments. The room is small and only has beds, bathroom, a TV and a small stand, therefore it may not accommodate many baggages, but you can store them under the beds. We only had backpacks. The staff is nice and helpful. The location is great and the place is clean. I would recommend it and return.
- Lovely Lhidel (6/5): - The room was clean but the service was not that good. We had hard time talking to the receptionist as she doesnt speak english. Plus when we request to microwave our food ahe didnt allow that instead we went to the nearest 7 eleven store just to warm our foods. The location in Mongkok is great though as when you go out of hotel you will see the shopping malls, markets and fast food chains.
- jessica (4/5): - No window, small toilet, different from the pictures, cleanliness but noisy .many chinese from mainland , wifi provide but not stable. Good location.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst hotel I ever stay in my life - Terrible Hotel, nothing like the pictures! Everywhere you look dirsty, There was fungus and the walls, window broken so didn’t open, the shower was a hose attached to the wall. Under the bed of my room there were belingings from other guest, a box, and lot lot of dirt.
Staff noisy, during the night a group of people will get together on the reception and be so loud, impossible to sleep. Anything will be better than this
- Alex (2/5): Never Ever Book This Hotel - $92 US for a hooker hotel. Rude service. Never cleaned the room. Lied about facilities. Internet never worked. In no way was this a 2 star hotel.
- dannette (2/5): - this ia the worst hotel ever
- kay (6/5): For a night only - Location is good , reception is good , room is small but fine , bed sheets are extremely dirty and full of hair !
- fu jun (2/5): Location was decent - The room smelled unsightly, almost like urine. I asked the front desk to do a room change and they were unwilling. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. There wasn't even a window so the room was almost like a jail.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hong Kong - Convinient to MRT transport.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was clean and the staff was friendly.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not Recommand for anyone - Next door customer continues screaming and yelling from 1am to 7am everyday for the first two day stay. Finally the third day they agree to move me to another section. I wasn't sleep for 3 days.
- Ben (4/5): Simple things broken in bathroom. - I was surprised to find the water pressure in the bathroom just a trickle in the sink, non-existant in the toilet, and normal for the shower. At first I thought that there was just no water, and the lady at the front desk said that it was a building-wide problem when I asked about changing rooms. Well, she might have been bluffing because I was surprised to discover that the shower DID work (although no hook to hang the nozzle on) although the toilet never filled with water on its own (it was easy to fill with the shower, since they are right on top of one another).
Honestly, I wouldn't have stayed here if I hadn't pre-paid and didn't plan on spending hardly any time in the room. We made due for the few hours we were there early in the morning/late at night. Other than the bathroom functional problems, the room was clean and the air conditioner cool!
- Verified traveler (4/5): Younger staff was nice, but older staff was bad. - The blanket was dirty. Younger receptionist had service mind and was helpful. Older receptionist was not willing to serve and help anything. She was unfriendly.
- Natalie (2/5): Extremely Terrible - The women checked us in said, the bldg had water problem. We (us, customers) have to fill up the toilet tank after each pee or poop, yet the shower has water. I already thought that's odd. I noticed the other side of the bldg didn't seem to have water problem, the next day, and thought perhaps we could request for room change. Guess what that same women, she was so mean did not want to talk to us. I found later on that day, that she reserved the better rooms for her own local customers. That was such a sad stay (me and my husband literally had to fill up the toilet tank the whole night long manually after each pee/poop, can you believe it? It was a "worst" "hotel stay" in my life. It ruins our trip totally.
- Jill (2/5): Not a Hotel - This should not be called a Hotel it's disgusting, dirty & so small it does not even fit a suitcase let alone 2 people, the so called double bed was a king single & the so called bathroom was a shower over a toilet & a tiny basin & had to sit sideways on the toilet because your knees could not fit between the toilet & the shower screen, the towels provided were rags.
We complained & got an upgrade, this was a twin room just as bad as the other, my husband could stand in the middle of the room & touch the walls. Needless to say we checked out the next day & lost our money. No English spoken at all
See pictures
- Fernando (2/5): Horrible! Don't recomend! - It was horrible! First they didn't have the room we booked, so the rearranged a room from the hotel one floor below. The room was smaller with a tiny bathroom. The wi fi wasn't working, the AC had no controller, no towels, the bathroom drain got jammed, the walls were thin, so we could listen to all other guests and the door were always banging because of the door closer. In the middle of the night a woman started to yell and fight with her husband and there was nobody from the Hotel staff to do help. Nightmare hotel!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Really bad choice... - Poor staff service, would not fix the drinking water and our leaking toilet bowl. Room and bed is impossibly small for 5 people, internet does not work for first 3 days of stay.
- Ross (2/5): - A very small room that should not be advertised on Hotels.com as it detracts from your normal very good service and hotels. Would not recommend to anyone.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Close to my family home - If you just want to have a bed to sleep for few hours that is ok but too noisy to sleep anyway
- RAHULKUMAR (6/5): For a budget traveller it's very good - Good value for money
- Antonella (4/5): Looking for a cheap, clean and working shower/toil - Despite no English we were able to communicate and extending my late check out was no issue with a reasonable fee. They helped with writing airport and terminal 1 in Chinese. The noise levels after midnight were very excessive. Whispering could have been used
- Verified traveler (4/5): Good location. - Cyrus was extremely friendly and helpful. Good location and safe. One of the better places compared to the others.
- SM-SINO (4/5): Is there other hotel with the same name? - I've stayed in prince hotel in mongkock area about 15 years ago and it was great. But this time it was guesthouse. I'm not sure they're the same hotel but in fact I was a bit disappointed. The room itself was small and environment around the hotel was so massy. But MRT station is just 5 minute distant and taking taxi was easy.
- Hrishikesh (8/5): Cheap hotel in Mongkok - Cheap hotel on the budget
- hla (4/5): Nice Two Stars Hotel - I spend six nights in Prince Hotel.
Good for the money.
MTR is walking distance, eating places and Lang Hang Mall is near by.
Only thing is at the counter..difficult to communicate with some of the staffs..can not speak English. Some of the customers are make a loud voice at middle of the night. One day there is no internet.
- Anthony (6/5): Acceptable hotel for a layover - I had a 12 hour layover in Hong Kong. Arriving at 8:00 pm and departing at 8:00 am. Giving the transfer back and forth the airport, I had maximum 9 hours at a hotel. So I didn’t want to spend a lot for the stay. For $45 a night, this hotel fits the bill. Location was perfect. I took the E21 bus from the airport for 14HKD. On the return, I took the N21 bus at 5:00 am for 23HKD.
The hotel is on the 7th floor of a building that has many other similar budget hotels. I was ready for a very small room with minimum amenities. The single room I had was big enough for a small twin bed, space for my luggage (forget about unpacking because that is no room for it), and nothing else. The shower is over the toilet. But the room is clean, has workable free wifi, and the AC is COLD. There is a water dispenser for free in the hall.
The front desk staff was very accommodating. There is a 100 HKD cash deposit for the TV remote, AC controller, and an electrical adapter. The front desk is not staffed around the clock. Since I was leaving at 5:00 am, I turned in the remote, controller, adapter, and the room key before she left for the night around 1:00 am and got my deposit then. But that also meant I could not leave the room from then on and couldn’t control the AC and the TV.
I wouldn’t stay here for longer trip. But just for a short layover, this hotel is acceptable giving the price.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never again! - The room was horrible!!!
- Anand (2/5): Prince Hotel- Stay away - It was filthy stinking hotel. Room was so small that there was hardly any place to put luggage or even stand. Bed sheets were torn and had marks. Bathroom was stinking. This was worst hotel I ever booked.
I had to book another hotel to stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Okay hotel if you have low expectations. - I love how convenient the location of the hotel is as there a bus stop to the airport downstairs. However, the bedding was an extremely bad quality and very uncomfortable. The service was also not the best as they were rude and did not offer their bathrooms for us to use after checking out .
- Simon (2/5): Low budget hotel - Condition very poor for family get away
- Brian (6/5): A decent hotel for a very affordable price. - The hotel is on the 7th floor of the apartment building and just right by the street (Nathan Rd.) were transportation is easily accessible. It is also close to (Mongkok) MTR station, shopping malls and shops are just close by (Langhan Mall, Sneaker Street). The rooms are small but good enough for sleeping, a cleaning lady will also be cleaning everyday. Overall it was a decent hotel for the price in the heart of Kowloon.
- disappointed (2/5): Deception - worst experience of my travels. Your advertising is very deceptive. Never again.
