- CaJoy2014 (10/5): Wonderful Vegan Hospitality for Animal Lovers - I loved my stay at this hotel, for my first four nights in Thailand. My room was clean and comfortable, with excellent AC, bed, and shower. The included breakfasts were a highlight! You could order as much as you wanted, and I certainly indulged. The muesli, fresh fruit plates, creamy potatoes, toast with jam, fresh fruit juices and smoothies, and Thai iced tea were all super delicious. For lunch and dinner, my favorites were the mushroom dumplings in Tom Yum soup and the rice porridge with mushrooms. As a cat lover who was already missing my cats, I appreciated the company of the rescued kitties who live at the hotel and the ethics of the owners. The staff were all really friendly and helpful.

We loved it. The only complaint is there is no lift up to 3 rd floor which can be a struggle at 78. They do bring your baggage up though.

- Min-jeong (10/5): Hidden gem of a hotel! - This was a great hotel!! It's small and doesn't have an elevator so that would be an issue for those with mobility problems but it worked out fine for us (there is a little elevator for bags though). Location was perfect - right inside the wall of the Old City. Even the pool, which didn't look great at first glance because it was tiny, was amazing. Clean, refreshing and every time we went, it was just us so it was also perfect. Although, perhaps I would have thought twice about going if someone else was already there 🤔🤔 NOTE: This hotel is 100% vegan so the included breakfast was all vegan. While we are not vegan, not even vegetarian, we were fine with the breakfast choices, and got our meat elsewhere!

Of all of the hotels I have ever stayed at, she is the nicest, most helpful and went out of her way to make my stay enjoyable. For that, I would definitely pick Green Tiger House on my next visit
- annrooawr (10/5): Genuinely the best experience - Throughout my stay in Thailand, I tried 8 hotels in the same price bracket and this one was the best by far. The room was comfy, the level of cleanliness was surprisingly good, the breakfasts were to die for (and I'm not vegan, it just was delicious). There's no lift and the pool side is a bit small, but the positive sides more than made up for those.

Breakfast is awesome and the staff are very helpful, smiley and attentive. Only downside was that the wifi was a tad slow. Dont let the cats put you off, I am allergic to the cats and didn't have any problems! Also I am not a vegetarian but I enjoyed their vegetarian food offerings!

Easy walking distance to the North Gate food markets and a great place to base yourself. Yes there are stairs but your luggage is sent up by way of a small little luggage lift. So no problems. I would definitely recommend.

- annielf (10/5): Loved this hotel and the vegan restaurant. Excellent location in the old city. - My sis-in-law and I planned a short trip to Chiang Mai to see the temples and do some shopping. I stumbled upon the good reviews of this hotel and we are so glad we stayed here. The rooms were clean, large and very comfortable. The service was excellent, especially from Fahh who seemed to do so many jobs - reception, the restaurant, booking taxis and giving directions and she was eager and always happy to help. An amazing and healthy vegan breakfast was included in the room rate and we also had a couple of dinners in the vegan restaurant as well as cocktails or craft beer in the afternoon. The staff was also very friendly. (Order the homemade strawberry-coconut yogurt with your breakfast!). The location of this hotel was perfect - in the northern area of the old city. It was located on a quiet residential road with lush trees, plants and flowers. There were many nice cafes a short walk away. I will definitely stay here on any future trips to Chiang Mai. I recommend booking a 3rd or 4th floor room with a balcony for views.

Fah is a delightful young lady that manages the property snd was simply wonderful. She welcomed us on our day of arrival and provided a great overview of the city. She booked a temple tour for us that was awesome. She greeted us every day and is simply the best!!! Num assists as restaurant manager and helped us with meals which are absolutely fantastic. Breakfast is over the top and we ate dinner there each night. Num assisted us at an early check out and with our bags to Grab transportation to the airport.

Comfy beds, perfect shower, amazing food and love all their sustainable practices. When we checked in they gave us a reusable bottle and were able to refill it anytime.

- EarlyRetirementAbroa (10/5): Already want to come back - Our stay at Green Tiger House was amazing thanks to the wonderful staff and especially to Ms. Fahh. Fahh (The "sky" in Thai) is our angel! We can't describe how protective and carrying person she is. Our booking included the breakfast at the Reform Kafe, located on promises. Reform Kafe should not be missed when you are in Chiang Mai! The food is sooo delicious! The room was spacious with the balcony, cleaned daily, white towels, unlimited supply of drinking water, tea with tea kettle and mini fridge. We are the cats lovers and two cats, especially baby kitten, made our stay unforgettable. We been before at the various hotels in Chiang Mai, but this is the best stay in Chiang Mai!

Our room was comfortable and simple, with very effective A/C (which is crucial). What really made our stay so outstanding was the staff and breakfast! Everyone on staff was incredibly accommodating, from helping us find the best way to get places, to memorizing our breakfast orders after just a couple of days! Definitely book your stay with the included breakfast—everything on the menu is fantastic. Portions are healthy, and generally we were good to go until dinner around 5pm. The location was very convenient to the Sunday night bazaar, and walking distance from most everything in Old City. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting Chiang Mai!

We actually ate a lot of our meals at the hotel because of the quality and selection. They offered 24/7 complimentary bread, water, coffee and tea which was really nice. They do a good job to go green, reusable water bottles, a water station, bamboo straws. Great walkability to other attractions in the area. We stayed on the top 4th floor with mountain views that was great for sunset. They also have a rooftop terrace which is great for sundowners, reading or even some yoga. Would totally stay again and would recommend to others.

The staff are very helpful in booking trips. One lady on reception booked us on the Mae Ping cruise and ensured we got free transport both to and from the hotel which was great. The breakfasts were amazing and the best we have ever had in any hotel. We didn't need to eat lunch after breakfast! We are ate in the cafe/restaurant on a number of nights and again the food was first class. Yes it's vegan and so very tasty! The portions are large so we shared a starter and sometimes one and two main courses and we're nicely replete. The location in the old town is lovely and quit but 5-10 minutes walk to all the attractions. Perfect!

You will need to wake up to the main road a block away to grab Tuk Tuk to get around to the night market, restaurants on the river and the Silver Temple. The staff is extremely friendly and very helpful - the breakfast is YUMMY. The coconut yogurt is delicious I want to take some home with me! I love the vibe of the main lobby/dining area...it’s open and welcoming. The room is perfect, I would highly recommend a balcony so you can see the amazing views of the mountains and city in the morning and at sunset. We had a wonderful stay and couldn’t ask for anything better!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Brilliant hotel. Brilliant location. We are not vegetarian or vegan but the vegan food here was fantastic. Better than anything else we ate in Chiang Mai. The hotel provides refillable bottles for shampoo, shower gel and conditioner so no wasteful single use plastics. Tea and coffee were available 24/7 in the foyer. Proper hot water urns, no flasks with Luke warm water :-) The room was really comfortable with a balcony for drying clothes. Everything, everywhere, was spotlessly clean. The only improvement I can suggest is that they could advertise a policy to avoid changing towels every day unless the customer wants clean towels every day.
- Rose (10/5): In love with Tiger House - Cannot speak highly enough of Tiger House, it’s staff, and restaurant. The veggie/vegan restaurant made traveling with my Vegan daughter easy. Very comfortable room with view, pool accessible, and the most helpful and friendly staff I have ever experienced. Would have stayed in Chiang Mai longer had I known what a great place this is.

Food was amazing, rooms extremely comfortable, however the internet on the 4th floor wasn’t great, so if this is important for you maybe lower floors would be better. If you find it hard to climb stair I would recommend a lower level. The view however from the four floor is wonderful. We would stay again thanks again to the entire team at Green Tiger.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - The Green Tiger Guesthouse is a jewel in Old town, it far exceeded our expectations. The food is so wonderful, we found it difficult to choose to eat anywhere else. The coconut milk yoghurt was a discovery, I’m looking forward to trying to make it at home. We’re not typically vegan, but as my daughter said, if we could eat at the Green Tiger every day it would be an easy change to make. Everything about the hotel is beautifully designed, it’s a space that makes you feel good. The staff are warm, welcoming and very knowledgeable. We had a scheduling problem come up that we needed help solving and Paean and Kirt went the extra mile to help us solve it. Our sunrise temple tour guide commented that The Green Tiger is his favorite pickup because the staff are so friendly. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

This was the first place we stayed during a 3 week tour of Thailand and have found ourselves comparing everything else to it! The hotel is modest, extremely clean, comfortable beds, good size rooms, wonderful food and AMAZING customer service. (Paeng was sooo helpful with giving us advice and booking trips for us!! Thank you!!) Breakfast was included and was our favorite meal everyday. In fact, we ate here for other meals too because the food was so good. The location is perfect for anyone exploring the great city of Chaing Mai. Cannot recommend more!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Most amazing breakfast ever, the homemade coconut yoghurt must be tried! The breakfast room (which is also a restaurant) was beautiful with loads of greenery. It is set in a peaceful side road and there is nothing I can fault it on. Whilst we were there (last couple of days in June) the swimming pool was shut for maintenance which was a shame, but certainly didn’t spoil the experience.
- Amy (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at the Green Tiger House. The staff was so kind and accommodating and wanted to make sure our time in Chiang Mai was wonderful. The food is outstanding (all plant based), and their restaurant grounds are lovely. I'm still thinking about the banana pancakes with coconut milk whipped cream I had for breakfast. We loved how eco-friendly the hotel is, with glass water bottles in the room that can be refilled with filtered water. The beds were comfortable, and we had a lovely balcony outside our room. The shower was strong and hot, and the hotel provides shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in permanent dispensers to save on plastic waste. We would definitely stay here again with zero reservations. An absolutely lovely end to our time in Thailand.

I will definitely bring friends and families there next time. the vegan breakfast was to die for even non vegan guests. One small thing would be noisy air conditioner...I am quite picky though with noise... but overall I loved my experience there :-)

Food was super good and the staff were helpful and friendly. Room was comfortable and clean. Highly recommended.
- Brooke (10/5): Incredible service and food! - Green Tiger House exceeded our expectations! The staff was incredibly helpful and assisted us with booking adventure activities, renting a scooter, booking golf, contacting our next hotel to confirm our airport pickup, and so much more. Unfortunately my husband was sick while we were there and the staff helped to bring him tea (large tea pot with ginger & herbs) and multiple staff asked how he was feeling when he finally made it out of the room. Also, the food was INCREDIBLE. The breakfast that’s included is made to order and so delicious, there’s also toast, coffee, tea, and filtered water available 24/7. We ended up eating several meals at the restaurant and everything we ate was so delicious. I would love to come back and stay!

The staff are the friendliness you’ll find anywhere, the amenities perfect, the food delicious, the breakfast fantastic. They helped us plan our days and gave suggestions and advice that was spot on.

The room was clean and the shower had very hot water (unlike the hotel I stayed at in Bangkok). The location was excellent, just inside the North Wall made it walkable to almost all locations. Breakfast was also excellent, two courses made to order rather than a buffet. Coffee and tea are available 24 hours per day.
