Guest Reviews
- Denise (10/5): - .
- Suzanne (10/5): - Very clean. Comfortable bed. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was great.
- Omey (10/5): Clean and spacious with lovely staff - The hotel was clean and the staff were very welcoming. Spacious rooms with all necessities. No coffee/tea station however coffee/tea was readily available in the breakfast room. Easy access to the motorway and a short drive to the centre of Arras.
- Carl (8/5): - Perfect location after leaving Calais; just over an hour’s drive. Quiet area. Room was very clean. The reason I gave 3* was because the shower gel was empty & no kettle facilities. Lovely restaurant right next door & a McDonald’s. Reasonable priced fuel station just 1.3miles away.
- Kye (10/5): - Very clean and felt newly refurbished. A very good Italian restaurant next door and easy to park with good transport links for driving.
- James (10/5): Will be using again - Great value, no frills but large room. Great as a stop over before getting the Tunnel
- Alex (10/5): Excellent for the price, - Overall absolutely brilliant for the money. The staff we spoke to were very friendly and were multi-lingual which is great for us ignorant Brits. The room was very clean although the toilet was the only thing that let the room down - a smell that I couldn’t work out where it was coming from and the toughest flush in the world. Strangely it would randomly flush itself now and again. Other than that, beds and linen were clean, we didn’t get eaten by bed bugs like we did at premier inn in Dover (do not stop there) and it was quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and the eating area clean. Couldn’t expect more for the money - I know breakfast was extra but it was worth it.
- Kathy (8/5): - Stopped overnight on way to Calais. Easy to find not far from motorway, free parking, good breakfast for 9 euros, and macdonalds waswalking distance away.
- DAVID (10/5): - Good Location for WW1 Sites
- BENJAMIN (8/5): Good for a stop over - Nothing special but fine for an overnight stay on the way to Calais. Doesn’t look like much from outside, but clean and tidy inside. Easily accommodated 2 adults and 2 children. Free parking overnight included. Thank you.
- Melissa (8/5): - Decent property that we stayed for one night.
- Adam (10/5): - Perfect location from the tunnel heading south and getting away from Calais
- john (10/5): - All good
- Sarah (10/5): Very nice hotel, would stay here again. - We needed a hotel for one night. We checked in late and there was an electric gate entrance. The woman on reception was very welcoming. The hotel reception area smelt of disinfectant as though it was recently cleaned. It was all very clean. We took the lift to our room. The room was a good size. A bed was made up for our son incase we needed it. Our bed was very comfy. The bathroom was a good size. We would stay here again if needed a room in this location.
- Alan (10/5): - Comfortable stay in air conditioned room. Excellent breakfast.
- Doreen (6/5): - Pros: good price, secure free parking, restaurant local to hotel
- Danielle (10/5): The perfect stop over - We stayed for one night on the way to the Euro Tunnel. As a family of 4 with two young children the location was ideal as a stop over on the way home from Disney. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the black out blind was very welcome! The nighttime receptionist was lovely and went above and beyond to help us sort out milk for our yongest. We would definitely stay again.
- Lori (8/5): - Clean and comfortable accommodation on the edge on town. Nice and quiet. The thermostat in our room didn't work but the staff quickly provided us with a space heater that did the job. Everyone was kind and helpful.
- Lynda (4/5): - We had booked 3 nights in this property but wish I had booked somewhere else. The air conditioning was switched off in the hotel and would not be switched on even though the outside temperature was 25°C and our room was 28°C as the blind had been left open and the sunlight streaming in. The manager would not switch on the air conditioning and just shrugged and said they don't normally have such warm weather in May. The towels were threadbare and there was no kettle available in the room. Very disappointed
- James (8/5): - Great location for staying before getting the Euro tunnel, we also stayed last year, great for families
- Stephen (8/5): - For a travel stop-over this proved an excellent choice. Every thing needed was there.
- Sharyn (10/5): Clean! - So clean and perfectly located for a stop before driving back to uk or on to Paris
Clean and nice breakfast
- Normand (10/5): - We used the ACE Arras for a visit to Vimy. It was within 20 min. Accomodation was comfortable, easy to find and the staff pleasant and helpful. Had supper at the Au feu du bois next door, enjoyable and a good meal.
- Tammy (8/5): To tired for the full leg! - Perfect for what we needed, booked 2
hours before arrival on way from Morzine to Calais.
- RICHARD (8/5): - Hotel was perfect as a stop off on the way to the slopes
- Katie (10/5): Lovely clean room with comfy beds! - Wasn’t expecting much for the price but this was lovely and clean and beds were super comfortable. Decent shower and pillows. Close to main road into Paris. Similar to a premier inn.
- Paul (10/5): - Very clean and quiet location as a stop over on the way to Calais. 24/7 checkin desk allowed us to book at 9pm and arrive at 10.30pm. Very swift checkin.
- Sandra (8/5): - Short overnight on route to the Alps. Staff were friendly and really helpful. Would stay again.
- Sharon (10/5): Excellent stop over - We arrived late and check in was easy and staff really helpful. Comfy bed and clean room.
- Rhiannon (10/5): - We used the hotel as stopover on route to Paris and it was perfect for our needs. Family room was ample in size, clean, bathroom was great and breakfast was plentiful! Parking very easy and location to the main road was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend and use again if needed!
- Ryan (8/5): Convenient and cost effective - Cost effective hotel for a quick overnight. 15 min from Vimy, easy access from highway. Service was lovely. Breakfast a bit limited but only 9 euro so not expecting high end. Clean and comfortable rooms.
- David (10/5): Pleasantly Surprised - I got a room on short notice when I was visiting the Vimy Memorial. I was pleasantly surprised by the nice clean room that was quite affordable. There's a nice restaurant next door and a McDonald's. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel breakfast was great and we went on our way happy and satisfied. I will stay there again if I'm in the area.
- M (8/5): - Liked that this hotel is not in a congested area. They lock the gate after a set hour in the evening ( secure). Nice Italian restaurant next door with wood fired pizza!
- alan (8/5): Good price for good basic hotel - The hotel was located on the outskirts in a industrial area. It was next to a resteraunt and a Mac Donald’s, with an excellent bakery nearby.
For the price we paid it was of good quality, clean and staff were very helpful. Good, safe car parking alongside hotel.
- Gary (10/5): Good value - Room was fairly large, clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful
- Bradley (8/5): Ideal base to explore - Ideal hotel as a base to explore the WW1 war memorials. Basic rooms but some of the comfiest beds we have slept in during hotel stays.
Staff very friendly.
Hotel located next to a very nice Italian restaurant which we visited twice, both located on a commercial trading estate.
Downside was rooms had no tea/coffee making facilities which seems a common thing now for our recent stays.
- Crystal (8/5): - Room had not fridge and so we were not able to chill the baby's milk that we had. The door does shut pretty loud as well. Other than that, the hotel was pretty decent and good value for money.
- charlotte (2/5): - We arrived late around 10pm after a late crossing on the shuttle. When we arrived the 2 guys on reception were having a conversation & neither bothered to acknowledge us or indeed stop their conversation for a good 5 minutes. We finally checked in & found our room, we had booked a family room - 1 double and 2 singles however the room had 1 double and 1 single. Went to reception to explain this & was told the other bed was underneath the double, back upstairs. Pulled bed out - no bedding & bed barely fitted in the gap, back to reception and told they would bring some - 15 mins later this arrived - 2 fitted sheets & a blanket - no pillow, no duvet. Waited for these to arrive, but they never did. Eventually rather than wait any longer we got a travel pillow from the car and made do. If it had not been so late & not travelling with children we would have left. Terrible service, do not recommend.
- Maylin (6/5): - The room was clean. Some of the staff were polite and friendly, but the front desk morning lady made her dislike of us obvious; it was quite uncomfortable for the few days we were there.
- Fabio (10/5): Reliable - Ideal for stop over
- David (10/5): - We stopped at the ACE for one night to break up a long drive home. The hotel is very clean, the beds were super comfy and the staff were friendly. Thank you
- Ankur (10/5): Excellent hotel for en route journey to paris - Excellent staff, we checkin just after midnight and the staff was really friendly and attentive. Free secure parking on site a big plus.
- Dana (10/5): - Quiet, safe area. Free parking was a big plus. Good beds. Good hotel for a short stay. Very nice, friendly and helpful front desk staff.
- Nicholas (8/5): - Good clean property with easy parking.
- John (10/5): - Great hotel with lovely staff. We stopped here for one night after Disney on our way to Calais. The bedrooms and bathroom were clean and spacious. All 5 of us had a great nights sleep and will definitely return on our next trip.
- Alex (8/5): Good Stop off only an hour from Calais - Good place to stop before or after the Euro-Tunnel. Nice friendly Italian Resturant next door. Carrefour near by which offers free EV charging for 1 hour - useful if struggling to find charging on the motorways
- Gary (10/5): - Great location on way back to channel tunnel
- Piotr (10/5): - Quiet and safe. Good for a quick overnight stay.
- Karen (10/5): - Clean and comfortable with friendly staff
- Miles (8/5): - Clean, easy to find and park, would use again
- George Cosmin (10/5): - Perfect stay for one night before hitting the road again in the morning!!
- Anne (8/5): - The room was okay, but smelled musty. The staff gave us a deodorant to neutralize the smell, which helped. They offered to change our room, but we decided to stay. The staff was really helpful. Hotel was convenient.
- Sherry (6/5): - We arrived in our room and the first thing we see is a huge burn mark on the carpet outside of the bathroom.
- Dan (10/5): Reasonable price and excellent room - Absolutely spotless room in a quiet area. Excellent front dewsk service and a delicious buffet breakfast. Would definately stay again.
- Beverley (10/5): - Great hotel & staff. Easy to find. Very comfortable.
- Fabio (8/5): Ideal - Perfect location for a one night during a long drive
- Steve (10/5): - Stayed one night oassing through. All good, quiet room, quick check in and free parking.
- Barbara (8/5): Almost 10/10 - Super room, comfortable bed and great shower room. Very good sound insulation. What a shame the noise of the air extraction/air con went on all night. I could even hear it through my ear plugs. Otherwise great stopover at reasonable price.
- martin (4/5): - Second stay here after a very nice night a week earlier. Unfortunately the ground floor room had been smoked in and there was a very unpleasant smell.
- James (8/5): - Nice little hotel for a stop over
- JO (10/5): - Very clean and secure, amenities around the area good food, shopping etx..
- Paul (6/5): - Room was not at all as described, hotel staff unable and unwilling to help rectify the problem.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - A lovely welcome and good advice about local attractions restaurants etc. The room was clean! The bathroom was clean! THe only down-side here is that Expedia's price, as with the last booking too, was quite a bit more than the hotel's standard walk-in price. I was very annoyed at having to pay more via Expedia that someone just turning up!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Spacious rooms. Helpful staff. Good breakfast. Located in commercial area which includes restaurants and supermarkets.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very easy access. Good parking. Friendly staff on late arrival. Clean rooms, good wifi. Would have like adjoining rooms (requested), bath (mentioned on website) and a kettle, but these weren't guarenteed so it was not a problem.
- Brian (10/5): - Everything about our stay was good. The receptionist was extremely helpful, the room and linen were spotlessly clean and there was a restaurant next door (or MacDonalds).
- Philip (8/5): Ace- Hotel - Lovely people, not much nearby in choice of restaurants, only McDonalds :-( there is another nearby but it was closed.
- Ian (10/5): Very good value - Always very pleasent and clean!!
- Richard (8/5): Clean and friendly place for an overnight stay - This was an ideal place to stay for 1 night. The staff were friendly and helpful and the location was easy to find and park, on the outskirts of Arras. The breakfast was quite satisfactory and good for value for money. The room was basic (as we knew it would be) but it was clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Love the breakfast
Would like to have tea making facilities in the room
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Only thing missing was a kettle !! Brilliant stay again
- Linda (10/5): - We stayed here for an event in Arras. It was only a short distance by car into the centre of town. The service was friendly and the rooms comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Wifi very poor. No fridge or ice on premises. A bit remote. Housekeeping did not make beds properly. But beds comfortable, everything quiet and good shower.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice clean hotel friendly staff good for stop overs
- Matt (10/5): Ace Hotel, Arras - Clean, great value and good breakfast. Very impressed
- Clive (8/5): Hotel Ace Beaurains Arras - Had a one night stay at this hotel on our way down (in the car) to Epernay and R eims. Great stop off place, too far to walk into Arras, but it was easy to take the car - and not too bad to find a parking place on a Tuesday evening. A comfortable stay - the staff were very friendly, but it was a bit of a big deal for the receptionist to find another couple of pillows for our bed. However, she did manage to find them (plus tell us about the electric heater on the bathroom wall - which appeared to be on permanently!) Shame there are no coffee-making facilities in the room - which would have been great after a long journey, as there did not seem to be much available in the vicinity. There is a large boulangerie across the road - but the roads were rather too busy to negotiate on foot, so we ended up driving - but the breads and croissants (and other soft drinks) were absolutely delicious and well worth stopping off for!. The hotel seems to be in the middle of an industrial/retail park, so no great views from the hotel window.
- Michel (2/5): STAY AWAY FROM ACE HOTEL - We BOOKED with Hotels .com and still had to proved credit card and we are billed by Hotels.com and again by Ace hotel on my credit card being charged twice. They did not want any doing since they say it was a Hotels.com issue.
- John (8/5): Good little overnight stop - An adequately good hotel for a single overnight stop en-route to Calais/Coquelles for the journey back to England.
The restaurant opposite appears to close around 9pm, but there's a 24h McDonalds, which is a 2 minute walk away.
Good parking, clean room, nice bed, decent shower. Not bad at all for the money.
- Piers (10/5): Lovely short break - Nice big rooms, friendly staff, quiet, easy to find. Good breakfast.
- simon (10/5): Great Hotel - Very clean hotel, friendly staff and great value for money. This is an excellent base in which to tour the Somme battlefields. A little way out of town but next to a McDonalds and a grill that serves excellent food. All highly recommended.
- Gary (10/5): Very pleasant suprise it was immaculate - Really pleased it was immaculate, breakfast buffet fantastic to start our long journey. We stayed in the Ace Hotel Arras. Makes simillar chains look awful. I wont name them but wont be looking at others after staying in this ace hotel, thank you. Gary and Family Essex UK
- Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient - Room clean, but basic. Comfortable bed, No facilities for making hot drinks. A kettle would have been welcome. Good selection for breakfast, but no gluten free bread or croissants. Waitress helpful.
- Phil (10/5): Excellent overnight stop - Typical motel style hotel, an ideal stop over for visit to the area or to break your journey from holiday (our stay). Good size room and reasonable breakfast, restaurant or McDonald's next door. About 10 mins by car to centre of Arras. Would recommend and use again
- Louise (10/5): Comfortable and quiet - We stayed here between visiting the British cemeteries and heading to our next hotel near Paris. The area the hotel is in is an retail park with several restaurants and a supermarket. Hotel gave a warm welcome and all staff were great. Rooms comfortable and bathroom had a walk in shower.
- Chris (10/5): - Very impressed. Staff were excellent; room was clean, quiet, comfortable and spacious; breakfast was good and at a reasonable cost. The hotel is some way out of Arras so a car is essential, but this makes for a good night's sleep!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very comfortable hotel. Location is a bit isolated.
- ALAN (10/5): TIP TOP BUDGET HOTEL - We hesitate to tell you how good this hotel is in case people book it before we get chance again. We cannot fault anything about the hotel, staff or breakfast. We were also delighted that our daughter was allocated an accessible bathroom, as requested via hotels.com without any problems.
- Stewart (10/5): Nice hotel close to important WW1 sites. - We found the hotel very comflřable and the staff were all very helpful including giving direction to sites we wanted to visit.
- Fred (8/5): Airport hotel. - Close to CDG for a stay when landing late and having to drive at night. Close to Paris. Close to motorways.
- d (10/5): Perfect place for a stopover - If you want cheap, clean accommodation close to amenities, this is perfect.
- David (10/5): Very convenient stopover - Nice modern hotel. Friendly multi-lingual staff.
- hilary (10/5): Great hotel - Great stay. Would have liked 2 pillows and a softer bed but otherwise no problems. Very good hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Hotel Close to Arras - Stayed here 2 nights while visiting Somme Battlefields. Bed was great, room was clean, staff were friendly, and breakfast was good. Will stay there again if I'm ever back in that area.
- Marie (8/5): Hotel close to Vimy and other war memorials. - Average room with nice bathroom. Good breakfast. Located in more of a business area therefore limited number of restaurants in the area.
- Alan (8/5): nice hotel - Good location nice restaurant next door which gives you ten percent discount if your staying in Ace hotel.
nice friendly staff, good breakfast, would stay there again.
- Marcus (8/5): Clean and convenient - We regularly stay for 1 night at this hotel when travelling down to Spain but this time we decided to have 2 nights so we could visit Vimy Ridge and the Canadian War Memorial. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable the only minor problem being the size of the pillows. We usually shoot off early and do nothave breakfast but this time we did have breakfast on the first morning. For those who want a typical fried English breakfast it would be a disappointment but by French standards it wasn't bad. The croissants were fresh, you could boil an egg, there was the ham and cheese and fresh fruit, juice and yoghurt, lots to eat. Also, there is a restaurant next door which offers 10% off if you produce your room receipt and next door again there is a McDonald's.
- Lisa (10/5): - Clean, quiet and comfortable. Recommended for people visiting war memorials and sites in and around arras.
- G and C (10/5): excellent value for money - Excellent breakfast. Very clean, Public transportation available and easy. close to restaurants.
- Angus (10/5): very quiet. - good
- Paul (10/5): - Very nice hotel with a very good breakfast. There is a restaurant next door and lots of parking.
