Martin (3/5): absoutely stunk of cigerette smoke - the location great and beds were comfortable. the shower pressure was really good. the room stunk of cigarette smoke, it did not improve over the 3 days despite windows being open and aircon on. fabric headboards, carpet and curtains probably need to be replaced as it was in the room. the lift was broken which we were not informed about until we arrived. the soap dish in the shower was broken and was a huge safty risk if you fall as it was a sharp spike in side of the wall.
Adele (4/5): - Staff were amazing and very helpful Hotel was mid renovations which we were not aware of. Made it hard for my grandmother to get around with her walker. Limited food options nearby unless you drove/walked a distance to the CBD. Cafe next door was great for breakfast but closed early and not at the time stated on Google. Rooms were quite dirty and rubdown, hopefully will be improved with renovations.

The warm hospitality made the experience even better. Would happily stay again! Cafe only opens till 3pm but plenty of food options at walking distance.

Gavin (8/5): Great value, great location, what more do ya want?! - Central location, after hours key pick up was very convenient. Room was clean and comfortable. Kitchenette was a bonus. Great shower pressure, and it was quieter than expected. Stayed one night initially, but was happy to rebook for a second. Don’t bother with overpriced CBD hotels; the city is a brisk walk or a short Uber away. Would stay again!
Milly (10/5): Absolute gem 💎 - Everything was perfect. such a beautiful part of Melbourne, great restaurants all around, and lots of old style pubs. 10 minute walk to the MCG. Staff are so lovely, it’s quiet, it’s quaint. And very very clean., I will definitely be returning next time I go to the MCG, actually next time I’m in Melbourne.. Thank you 😊 Nothing to say here !!

Sally (8/5): Great value for money - New bathroom, fabulous shower, comfy beds, windows that open. Room stank of cigarette smoke so had to open the window for the night. Not sure if it was the guests prior to us or someone smoking in the hallway (as the hallway smelt of fresh smoke when we returned after dinner). Not the hotels fault but perhaps they need to police it better.

Shingles (2/5): Run by people that don’t care - Location Dirty/stains everywhere. Wet carpet floors that smelt like mould, they tried to cover it up with heavy cleaning products but by the time we got back to the room it just smelt of mouldy wet carpet. Dip in floor was dangerous. Spa was extremely loud and gave me a headache, I think it’s broken or hasn’t been serviced in the 2000’s.

Microwave, kettle and crockery provided J(which was great), iron, lots of storage, working aircon. After hours check in was really easy Located good -very quiet and close to tram network to city. The bathroom shower had an insane amount of black mould. Needs to be cleaned and proper water proof stuff used. I was pretty disgusted by the state of the bathroom

Paige (1/5): - Nothing was as advertised. This was so bad We had a late check in and were greeted with a homeless man in the lobby who had been kicked out of his room. The room and bathroom did not look like the pictures and the view was a brick wall of the next building. The rooms smelt of smoke and weed and looked filthy, there was dirt all over the walls and knife marks on the microwave. There was one spoon, two forks and three knives, one roll of toilet paper. The pillows were paper thin and so uncomfortable. The TV was so old that half the buttons didn't even work and the buttons for Netflix and YouTube said 'disk not inserted'. There was notices on the wall of things like daily room cleaning and baggage storage with different hotel names on it and we got none of this. Do not stay here, it feels unsafe and looks disgusting. I don't think any of the positive reviews on here are even real!

biggs (10/5): I loved it here! 😌 - The atmosphere the staff has created for us, their guests was very welcoming, considerate & just all round amazing for me personally! Occasionally you get a few "characters" to say, the least, roaming around the premises at early hours of the morning or late at night! Other than that, I didn't expect anything less than an exceptional stay & comfy room!

Caught the Train from Bendigo to Southern Cross station, then the 109 Tram up to Victoria Parade and Wellington St intersection. Only a 5 minute walk to Sora in Albert Street. The bed was also very comfortable I couldn't fault anything about my experience

Kym (3/5): disappointed as it did not match the photo's on the web site or the 4and a half stars - the mattress was comfortable when finally slept we opened the microwave, to heat our meal and found a half eaten chicken, not sure how long it had been there, may have been up to a couple of days. * parking spaces were minute even for a small car * there was black mould in the bathroom * No extra blankets in the room * difficult to get into the shower as the glass door banged up to the basin which reduced the space available when stepping up into the shower awkward when because of disability * the filter on the air conditioner was visibly broken * the lift was out of action which made it difficult to access the room with a physical disability * there was a lamp missing on one of the bedside tables because it had been broken and was replaced with another broken lamp with a shade that was falling apart and the remaining lamp didn't work needed a new globe * the walls were marked and patchy * certainly would have been difficult to fit a family in the room * noisy skate boarders in the drive way below room aftermidnight
Gerard (9/5): Plan to return for another one night stay on May 8th departing morning of may 9 - Proximity to Freemason Epworth Nothing within your control. There was loud bad language outside in neighbouring property. I accept that this may occur from time to time anywhere and is outside your control

Jessica b (8/5): Comfy, happy, room just needs small updates including carpets cleaned. - First walk in everything looks great. Beds were comfy, easy check in, lovely reception staff. Unfortunately some room damages, window was broken open, heater was broken on the outside (still kept the room warmish) carpets had a dog poo/vomit patch uncleaned on it. Some minor other things, ensure to timestamp photos when you arrive. Other than the small damages, would recommend for a cheap stay.
crystal (1/5): Horrible, never again - Not much to be honest It was dirty, sheets had a stain on it, light switches hadn’t been cleaned, walls were filthy, car parks were tiny and ridiculous to try to park in let alone open your door Nothing looked like the photo, extremely outdated, furniture was chipped etc, photos had been photoshopped to make it look new and modern and clean Airconditioner was yellow, exhaust fans in the bathroom caked with dirt All the bedding was stored outside in the driveway in the rain
John Michael (4/5): Not a good stay because of room smell, feels like old stockroom, very weak wifi connectivity, dusty room. Only stayed a - The location is good Was put in room 18. Smells old stock room. Property didn’t bother to freshen up. Was at the end and wifi is not connecting properly. Was sneezing most of they stay cause of dust which is evident from the side table lamp. And thought they might have toothbrush on request but doesn’t.

Drew (1/5): - Nothing Room not clean & smelt. Toilet was dirty. I didn’t feel safe. When I booked it said room with city views, my view was a laneway!!! I did not stay the night. I would like a refund!!
Derrick (10/5): Great value for money. Nice and close to St Vincent’s Hospital - Modern room, large and comfortable. Great shower Common areas are quite dated and the elevator doesn’t work
