- Eddy (9/5): Always nice to come back. - We’ve now stayed at Drostdy Hotel for the third time and absolutely love it. The beautiful colonial Cape Dutch setting, peaceful gardens, and charming atmosphere make it a very special place. The rooms and bathrooms are comfortable and well appointed, and breakfast is always excellent. A wonderful hotel we keep coming back to — highly recommended! Nothing.

There was nothing I did not like - everything was top notch - there is absolutely nothing that can be changed and it is a recommended stay for anyone traveling.

While good, the dinner at the restaurant was overpriced, and unfortunately the shower was not working properly at all. Half the spouts of the head did not work, the water pressure was minimal and it took 20+minutes to get the water neither cold nor boiling.

The price that is charged for dinner is just reflective of what you receive. Lamb chops @ 295.00 with no sides! Obviously marketed at the international market. Breakfast is also pretty average.

My meal was replaced but only received it after everyone else finished their meals. Secondly, I was placed in room 1501 which is situated next to a busy street. Thus was woken up after 5 with pedestrians talking and cars passing. Must be the worst room in the hotel.

It was sort of fixed by the maintenance guy after a 2nd request. Water was hot for a small moment in the morning. My wife's batch water was hot, but I had to shower in lukewarm water.
