I didn't mind the set menu, but it would have been helpful to label it as Continental, American, or Arabic. What I experienced was a little bit of all, which didn't make any sense.

- Buone (10/5): Amazing staff. Nice get away. - Right from the time of booking and planning, the staff were very helpful. I got a call back based on my email. We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday for a little get away. Huda called me and reassured that they will take care of everything. She also helped with booking the Dhow cruise. When we got back to the room, it was lovely to see the decorations in the room along with a nice cake. The decorations were elaborate and had a personal touch. We also got help with the extra bed requirements for the kids. I would also like to mention special thanks to the rest of the team including Elizabeth and Mazher. You went beyond your normal call of duty to make this trip special. The crew in the restaurant and other staff in the hotel were attentive and friendly. The place has a nice and quiet vibe. We would recommend this place to anyone considering.

We had extra bed in the room it wasn’t in the room when we arrived, it was very uncomfortable which was disappointing for the price. The restaurant staff don’t put in bookings when asked, are polite but poor and slow. The food is mediocre. The pool isn’t the best, feels like it all needs an upgrade. Ok for 1 night if you’re doing a full day dhow tour.
- P6357KPmahmoude (2/5): Unhonest management style - Inflexible and unhelpful at all, if the only care is to get the money regardless anything else, i really feel unfair from the reservation team, after they accepted to change dates and i am trying to recommend dates , in one day they have changed completely and now not changing dates and not offering any solution, why because they said it clearly we have already got the money. Very unfair and i don't forgive them at all

- RothburyLady (10/5): A lovely resort and base in Musandam but take your litter home. - A comfortable hotel with beautiful views of the sea, even if the rooms are to the side, but they all seem to have balconies, if only we had time to enjoy them! Our arrival into Khasab was fine until the final approach when crosswinds catch the wings, so try not to worry about that - what comes later is worth it. The Atana is situated in a lovely spot with really nice rooms. The restaurant is great for breakfast and the evening food is fine although the staff were a little too keen to bring your next course if you were too slow to eat up. Often we'd have our dessert sitting there whilst eating the remaining main course! All the staff we encountered were welcoming and friendly. Typical, in Oman. From here, we had excellent trips on a dhow to snorkel and see a resident pod of dolphins in the fjords - such a delight! On the downside, there were lots of plastic bags and bottles floating by that looked very new. Another road trip took us to the mountains to see fossils, wadis, goats and splendid views. We left the Atani by road to travel to Dubai and saw many local families picnicking on the beaches, but dropping litter - loads of plastic bags and drinks bottles. I was shocked at this culture when there is pristine sea life with dolphins and turtles. Why is this allowed to happen? I purposely picked up litter on a local beach next to the resort to pointedly show that it needed to be disposed of properly (there are plenty of litter bins). Something needs to be done about this (also in the desert).

- Sanaa (8/5): - I always stay in this hotel every time I visit Khasab, very nice, spacious and well decorated rooms. It’s inspired from the Omani architecture which makes it the perfect choice for staying in Musandam Unfortunately the breakfast is every time the same, not diversified, doesn’t have option for gluten free or lactose free diets, they only have black tea and black coffee for the drinks. It would be good to have some local specialties added to the buffet.

- Muhammad (6/5): The hotel is fine, and the staff is friendly. - Rooms were big and clean. The bathrooms in particular were very clean and modern - which is a great indicator of cleanliness. Breakfast was okay; my sincere feedback would be to work on the coffee at the least, it wasn't great, and for coffee lovers, it makes all the difference. They do not have EV Charging facilities - this would have been fine if they're not advertising it on their support / WhatsApp channel. I had messaged their WhatsApp support team to confirm whether they have EV Charging facilities, and they said yes. I drove with my EV from Dubai only to find out that they don't. They're calling the regular electric outlet a charging point and charging 100 AED for using it. So, if you have a portable charger, there is hope, you can plug it into their electrical socket, but you would have to pay 100 AED for it. For a hotel that advertises their commitment to environment and sustainability, this is a shame! Misleading people and then charging them 100 AED for using the normal electric plug. Unfortunately, my portable charger didn't work so I spent my entire night searching for EV Chargers around the area ruining my entire stay. Also, you need to be quite tall to access the towels; the towel rack in the bathrooms is mounted quite high.

We didnt cook anyway, therefore for us the kitchen itself was useless. The view from the room was perfect.

- OVR... (7/5): Overall a very good stay, especially if compared to what else there is in this area. - Overall great option for Khasab, nice small resort with everything you need. Got upgraded to a Junior Suite which was appreciated. Location is fantastic, you can even walk to some of the tour operators as well as to the biggest supermarket (lulu) in town. Some things that could have been better: very dark rooms, you don't get much natural light, I guess this is nothign they can change now. Breakfast variety was very average, couldn't see a coffee machine, just coffee to pour (might have had to ask for this?). Shower was ultimately good but a bit tough to set the temperature, you need to turn the warm water all the way and cold water just a tiny bit to get it right. The amount of light switches you needed to turn off was massive (at least 15 to my recollection) as the master witch was not working and we didn't want to remove the card as the kids needed some light at night for the toilet. So this exercise was something in the evenings.

Overall, the experience was quite average. The food selection was limited and seemed primarily tailored to an Indian audience, with very few local Omani dishes available. Alcohol was also expensive, particularly canned options.

Well maintained gardens . Children pool is lovely , main pool ok but the views are over the channel which is used constantly by motor boats zooming up and down . Our rooms lacked views , no hair dryer or coffee ms June as advertised. Mosquitoes were a problem despite us keeping AC on and doors closed we asked for citronella candles at reception and was given a toxic chemical spray . Went to supermarket to buy candles . Staff lack training . Buffet breakfast and dinners . Fresh coffee would have been welcome rather than instant in a flask . Reception staff struggled with English and seemed uninterested

- Leong Kiat (8/5): Good location in Khasab. Hotel gives a very calm and serene atmosphere with nice big rooms. - Room was very spacious and comfortable. A very peaceful and serene atmosphere all around the hotel. Housekeeping took a really long time to attend, maybe because of full occupancy. Some small hand towels on the wash basins would be a nice addition. Breakfast was basic, maybe a little more choice would be better considering the rating and cost of the rooms.
