Guest Reviews
- Debra (10/5): - Property well maintained and units very clean and comfortable
Staff so helpful
Thankyou !!!
- Katherine (8/5): Nice lake view - This is our 6th or 7th stay at this resort. It is affordable and across the street from the lake. The furnishings are a little old but in decent shape and the unit is clean. We had a couple of snall issues and when reported to staff, were corrected within the same day or the next day. The unit is well supplied with the basics. There is also a stackable washer/dryer. Good views of the lake. The resort also has its own area at the lake with a sandy beach, dock and canoes and paddle boards.
- Kristi (8/5): - Lovely property, quiet, clean. Great amenities in the units (tub, washer/dryer, dishwasher, well stocked kitchen). Most people were fishing from the dock (vs swimming) while we were there but there is a public beach nearby.
- Gennadyi (10/5): - good area and property
- Morgan (10/5): - A lovely property in a very quiet area right next to a lake. The staff where amazing, very kind and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. I would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet hotel in the Haliburton area. 5 star rating from me.
- Robert (10/5): - Very clean place to stay
- Susan (8/5): - I would have given this property a perfect score except there was a power outage and the property does not have a generator which left guests with no power for more than 24 hours.
The management is beyond fantastic and for the price point, I don’t think that you could find a better accommodation. The rooms are spacious and provide everything that you could possibly need.
- Dave (10/5): - Quiet and nice veiw
- Elizabeth (6/5): - Having reception only between 9am - 5pm isn't really the best customer service.
They were however very kind to us. Our trip was cut short because of work issues and they refunded us the extra day we couldn't stay there.
You need to dust a little bit more and try some air fresheners for each room as they smell very musty.
- L (10/5): - Easy check in and check out.
The properly is very nice, clean, had everything we needed. The property manager contacted us about early check in option.
Beautiful and quiet area on the lake.
- Sharry (10/5): - Our stay was great. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We will definitely go back again.
- Evelyn (10/5): - It was a nice 1 bedroom suite. Liked the fireplace. Good size unit. Clean.
- Marc (10/5): - We loved staying here & will make this our new place we always stay when we visit Haliburton! :)
- Jeff (10/5): - We liked it all! So very Quiet.
- Janice (8/5): - This property was very clean but dated. We had a good restful time. The old Wigemog Inn is next door. In the thirties it was going place with the likes of Jimmy Dorsey playing there. The rich would come from Toronto to stay the summer. The Inn has been left to rot by its last owner. It looks like a eyesore. As a result investment in upgrading at Haliburton Heights has been put on hold till they get the inn demolished.
- Michelle (8/5): - It is across the street from the lake and beach. The rooms are big and very comfortable. The staff are very helpful.
- Lisa (6/5): - The property was clean, my room was adequate. The property isn't beautiful. It could use nicer landscaping and paved driveway.
The television was confusing and required a manual on and off.
There was a swimming pool mentioned in the description but no pool. There was virtually no shade.
- Alanna (4/5): - Lack of privacy, lack of infrastructure but great location.
- Shirley (10/5): - The setting is perfect -- quiet, on a lake but within ten minutes drive of the town of Haliburton. Best yet, the apartments are so well appointed and maintained, you feel like it is a home away from home. A lovely place.
- Gino (8/5): - Unit was great. Staff was helpful. There is an adjacent property that appears to be in process of being demolished, so perhaps a tiny eyesore, but this isn’t really a reflection on the property itself, or the absolutely beautiful lake.
- Susan (10/5): - Excellent value for the money. The resort has gone out of their way to provide outdoor games canoes, a paddle boat etc. all at no extra charge. Clean and spacious. Our second year here, and we plan to make it an annual trip. Only complaint was the weather.
- Ruth (10/5): - Our suite was comfortable, clean, well-equipped and had a beautiful view of the lake. It was a short drive to Haliburton and in a lovely setting. Also, it was a very good price. We'd stay again and recommend it highly.
- Jillian (10/5): - Spacious 1 bedroom unit, very well equiped kitchen. Very clean. Beautiful water views
- Evelyn (10/5): - My daughter and I enjoyed our 3 night stay very much. The staff were very nice and made our stay the best they could. We would like to return.
- Mary (10/5): - A perfect location between Mindon and Haliburton for a short visit to explore the region and enjoy the fall foliage . The studio room contained self-catering essentials (ie. dishes, fridge, washer/drier, etc) and is 10 min away from food stores and restaurants. Would recommend.
- Debra and William (10/5): - Lovely place
Maintained very inside and out
View amazing of the beautiful lake and use of canoes or paddle boat makes it easy to get around the lake
Pleasant staff and certainly would return
The inn next door and the area along roadside further away has seen better days sadly these also were great places as my family from the north tell me
Great area of history of places now gone as well as those that will be gone
Haliburton Heights has all that a person would ever need to stay and also cook if one wished to do so
Well worth the travelling to settle into for sure..
- Kathy (10/5): - We had a great time and area! The children had plenty of activites to keep them busy. We all enjoyed canoeing and paddle boarding.
- Jason George R (10/5): A+++ - Relaxing and peaceful. Comfortable
- Robert (10/5): - Has a beautiful water front beach area to use
Quiet and peaceful
- Susan (10/5): - Based on the favourable price, I was not sure what to expect. The staff were incredibly accommodating, and the rooms were exceptionally spacious. The property is old, but very clean. I brought some extra pots/bowls etc. , but found that it already had everything that I needed.
- eva (8/5): - Staff were very accommodating. Enjoyed the available activities, kayaking, horseshoes etc. Sadly the next property is being demolished and although construction hadn't started it was quite the eyesore with fencing, equipment etc. Once it starts it will no longer be a quiet getaway.
- Silvio (10/5): - Friendly staff and great service
- Sherril (6/5): - It’s in a good location and probably one of the best places to stay in the area. It’s dated and in ok shape. You don’t get any new towels, shampoo, coffee etc.
- joe (8/5): - Quiet
- Adrian (10/5): - The building was very clean. The water was kind of green.
- audrey (8/5): - The view was amazing. It looked out onto the lake. The room wasn't in the best condition - threadbare carpets in some spots. It was very convenient to the condo where my cousin lived. I would stay again.
The woman in charge, Tina, who was there most of the time we were there, is very friendly and helpful.
- William (10/5): - The property is old and has seen better days. But clean overall. The manager and staff are all nice and always willing to help.
- Grant (8/5): - Host was friendly and helpful
Room was large and clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): My Experience in Haliburton Heights - I did not like joint laundry room, because in the other unit people were not considerate.
Kitchen was not fully equipped despite twice asking them what to bring. No nonstick pan so i had to go buy one spoons only soup ones , no kettle , coffee maker was very old, they could provide laundry detergent at least for 2 or 3 days. They did not dust any furniture , the kitchen window could have proper cover for privacy ,and finally The manager or receptionist could have smiley face during conversation, which is very important to your guests to feel they are welcomed.
I for got to mention that they said some water equipment are available , but they were locked
- Marcia (8/5): - We stayed here while the rest of the wedding guests stayed at the Pinestone, where the wedding was located.
We had all the amenities we needed, and were happy to find a toaster for our English muffins!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The accommodations were very nice. Very lovely to look out front windows and see the beautiful view of the lake. Nice and clean and Tina was very, very nice at check in.
- Richard (8/5): - Very pleasant spot.
Nice beach right therr.
Haliburton isa lovely little town.
- Deborah (8/5): - Very conveniently located for Haliburton School of the Arts classes- 10 minute drive. Large unit with separate living space and balcony - very clean. Kitchen well equipped. Decor slightly dated but large size and beautiful views make up for it. Very quiet.
- Sandra (4/5): - I did not spend that much time during the day - as I was taking a course at school. However closing up the canoe kayaks so early 6 was a disappointment. Evening use would have been nice. If you are used to 2 star accommodation this place is great!
- Julie (8/5): - Geese droppings on beach
Flimsy room outlets
- DEVENDER (2/5): - Too bad
- Cathy (8/5): - Spacious and clean. However, if you can, ask for a unit on the second floor as every footstep above us carried through enough to wake us early in the morning.
- Elhamy (10/5): - Clean, Spacious, Excellent view, Friendly staff
- PAUL (10/5): - Extremely well equipped, very clean and a great location.
Strangely, people arrived in the adjoining room on Saturday and spent all day (14 hours) doing laundry???????
- Silvio (10/5): Highly recommended! - Our stay was wonderful!
Office Staff were friendly and helpful.
Very clean room and well equipped in the kitchen.
Highly recommended!
- Jim (10/5): - The resort is located across the road from a beautiful Haliburton lake. The 1 bedroom unit that we had was up to date and well appointed. Their COVID precautions were very thorough. We hiked the best trails and saw the most lovely water falls that we have ever experienced. If you like pie and a good hamburger Haliburton is a good choice. We will definitely be back.
- Barb (10/5): - Well located in Halliburton area for outdoor recreation. Pool and spa facilities were available at nearby resort. Interior of suite was well organized, spacious, and with all necessary amenities. Beds were comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked the location and it had a nice view. I did not like the hidden policies I only found out after I booked the place. If I would have known; I would not have booked this place.
- Jen (10/5): - Lovely clean room. View of the lake, everything we needed
- Brent (10/5): - The staff is always friendly and accomodating. The suite is fully equipped and you feel like your at home. The views from the balcony are spectacular.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Water activities, fire pit, stocked kitchen and bbq
- Dan (4/5): - Mattress was extremely hard / uncomfortable.
Did not allow for good sleep.
Left after 2 sleepless nights of a 3 night stay.
Staff informed us that all the facility mattresses were the same & there had been numerous complaints.
Would not consider going back unless this situation was rectified.
- Jeremy (6/5): - The lake was beautiful. Water, toys and nice beach. Were able to dock our boat. Rooms need updating, bed was very uncomfortable.
