Guest Reviews
- Kevin (1/5): Would NOT use again. - The property seemed nice on the website, was terrible from then on. The proprietors were yelling at each other in the lobby. The black mold that covered the bathroom ceiling, the missing door locks, the random door that went to another room, dirty and pee stained bed sheets, the shower was so covered in scum we couldn’t even shower, the toilet paper was on the floor as well when we arrived and that’s only the room.
- Smith (8/5): Getaway - It was a good experience Every
- Cortez (10/5): Great value and slept great - Centrally located to the main road, bed was comfortable and shower was hot. During rush hour it is pretty loud with all the trucks passing by. Shower only had a mini soap, went to the store for shampoo and body wash
- Gomez (10/5): -
- soraia (5/5): - Péssimo isolamento no quarto, muito barulho!
Limpeza deixou a desejar!

- Beni (7/5): Overall,ok rooms felt they could use a little updating and at very least a better bed and more blankets, keep disruotive - Good location, nice man at the counter he was very attentive. Uncomfortable beds, people upstairs yelling and screaming and playing loud what sounded like Indian music, very disruptive, loud banging on the persons door we could hear from our room.
- David (1/5): Worst hotel experience so far. - Close to work. No television service, no internet service for most of stay, language barrier between owner and customers, towels were dirty on arrival.

- Rachel (2/5): Would’ve been ok at $20 a night but definitely not for what we paid. Will not stay again. - Only redeeming factor was that it was near the family we needed to be near. It’s dirty, gross and run down. No hangers, no drawers, no hairdryer, no iron. I think the sheets were clean but blanket and coverlet definitely not cleaned between guests. Won’t stay again. Check in man wore pajamas and used google translate to communicate. Nightstand was on the floor as it had fallen off the wall. TV didn’t work. I had cleaning supplies and cleaned (see before and after photos). Also brought my own pillow cases and towels
- Courtney (5/5): Okay to rest for a night. - It was okay to rest for the night! Property was clean, it was a spacious room, very basic. The tv worked and the man was friendly on check in. The pillows were the worse pillows we have even come across had a terrible sleep ended up using my jumper as a pillow, husband didn’t use anything! The pillows are small, high, lumpy but very very hard!
The shower needs a bleach and the bathroom door needs a wipe both sides.

- Andres (10/5): -
- Joshi (10/5): -
- Jose L Ruiz (10/5): Excelente lugar para pasar en pareja - El jacuzzi dentro de la habitación
- Beatriz (2/5): - Immediately after checking in and going into the room we saw roaches. From being on the wall, the tv, under the bed area, in the mini fridge, and next to ac. We tried to call the desk after having called them on the way to hotel just 30 mins prior which was an issue too, couldnt hear when they answered, due to noise like someone had the phone shoved right up the speaker of a tv, the number on their site and then they called back after hanging up on me but they used someone elses number completely. But they didnt answer on either numbers after we tried to call to complain or see if they had a different room entirely but they shut all light offs after we checked in so no one was at desk area. Overall just disgusting
- Magda (6/5): - Relatively recently renovated, but very poorly maintained. Located inly 20min away from Monterey, so it would be a great cheap alternative if the place was little tidier
- Jaden (4/5): - Bed was clean, but wasn’t able to use the shower due to uncleanliness
- Martine (10/5): - Very friendly
- Wayne (6/5): - Convenient location
- Isaac (8/5): -
- Gustavo (9/5): -
- Zachery (1/5): -
- Chantal (2/5): - This property is terrible. The room was disgusting and dirty. The bathroom toilet was stained with feces. And don’t get me started on the owner. DO NOT BOOK HERE!
- Anthony (6/5): Average Stay for Average Price - Average stay if you are just visiting for other venues or events. Nothing glamorous but good value.
- Michael (3/5): Poor - My room was very nice Work truck was broken into …. Again
- Steven (6/5): - I suppose, for the price, I didn't expect too much but even then the place was disappointing. I was not a fan of the echo-prone hard surfaces everywhere in the room and the tile on the bathroom floor was scary slippery after the measly shower curtain failed to contain any overflow from the floor-level shower. There was an empty mini-fridge and a microwave in the room but it would've been great to have a one-cup coffee maker - because even if there was coffee available in the "lobby" they keep the exterior door locked (presumably because of concerns about crime?). Regrettably, cannot recommend.
- Sandra (2/5): - A lot of noise from traffic. Low water pressure in shower water was not hot!! We woke up to 3 housekeepers knocking on our door
- Richard (4/5): - The room was lack luster. Broken bath tissue holder, nightstand in between beds and mold on the roof in the shower area.
- Shawn (10/5): - My only complaint was that is was on the main road through town and car traffic was a bit loud
- Travis (2/5): - Extremely noisy room, was woken up from 1am-5am from slamming doors and a lot of banging. The air conditioner works, but sounds like a train passing or a plane taking off. The worst was the mold all over the ceiling of the bathrooms from poor ventilation. The icing on the top was THE WIFI DOESNT WORK! Needing to work on my laptop before leaving in the morning and was completely unable to get their WiFi to work.
It looked fine on paper, clean and quiet enough. But it was anything but. Loud, dirty and a waste of money.
- Jenny (8/5): - The I assume owner is super friendly
- Contreras (1/5): Bad - Nothing The room was dirty, smells so bad, tv don’t work
- Bryan (2/5): - Unclean and smelled funny
- Karen (10/5): - It’s not in a bad part of town, but it’s not in the best. There was a lot of partying going on late at night outside the door so it was hard to sleep.
- Josafath (6/5): - The television only turns on the remote control, it only serves to suve the volume, it is useless, but it has no channels available, nothing is available, it only looks, because it is useless.
- johna (2/5): - it was very terrible.. the tub was sooo dirty and the toilet seat was broken. shower head barley attached with rubber bands... tv turned on but didn't work fr.. we stayed for 5 minutes.
- Bonilla (6/5): Pleasant -
- ERIC (10/5): - Easy on/off, highway 1.
- Sylvia (6/5): Owner was kind. - It was close to family function No parking available for paid customers. No one answered for where we could park.
- Andrew (7/5): Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Noise outside was my only complaint - Very clean, nice hotel and friendly staff. Room was comfortable. A bit pricey for a basic hotel. Our room was on the outside of the far building which is adjacent to a side street. We were constantly awakened in the night and early morning from people being noisy outside.
- Olivia (2/5): DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL - Literally the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever been to. I’ve paid less and had way better stays. I actually didn’t even stay here, I opened the door to the room and left immediately. The door had been stabbed, the bed was dirty, nothing in the room had been cleaned, there was also a spider infestation, spiders everywhere on the ceiling. Literally didn’t want to touch anything, I immediately booked another hotel and left. Tried to get a refund for it being unsuitable for staying in, and they did not respond! Please avoid this place, is it NOT worth the money unless this is literally the last place available. Extremely unhelpful, doesn’t respond, and disgusting. Absolutely waste of time and money, and such a bad experience.
- Dorothy (6/5): Good price, don’t expect to get a goodnight sleep, but felt safe. - Nice bed. Decently cleaned. I could hear doors opening and closing all night while I was trying to sleep. My room window faced a Main Street, it was extremely noisy.
- Fernando (10/5): - N/A
- Joanna (10/5): - Very friendly
- Destiny (2/5): - Broken AC and broken lock on the window, window screen was broken with as well like someone broke into the room but thankfully none of our things were stolen.
- Samples (3/5): Poor - Locationtv Tv didn't work and room didn't get yet cleaned
- Rebecca (1/5): Bad - I thought the price was reasonable compared to other nearby hotels, but then I could see why the price was less. The TV did not work. I called the front desk and she said that she would call someone to help. We didn’t hear back for her again. I called the office number again and she never answered. We booked a room for 4 adults and there were only two towels and two little bottles of shampoo. Or at least I thought, but both bottles were filled with water. Place was not clean and the end table was broken from the wall.
- Alyc (7/5): Good -
- Suanne (10/5): Great value near Elkorn Slough tours -
- Shavers (1/5): Bad -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gerardo (2/5): - Dirty, bad customer service
- Carlos (6/5): - The price for two rooms for one night was pretty good! The rooms do have a microwave & refrigerator! No hangers ! No iron ! No blow dryer no coffee maker! No phone to connect with the office! The beds & the pillow were soft & good to sleep on ! I think the linen could be more clean ! Found hair on the linen! Not enough towels in room! Limited parking! But it was okay for a night !
- Javier (3/5): Cheap and dirty - Nice area Not clean at all the rooms
- Reyes (3/5): Poor -
- Heather (10/5): - It was a nice hotel
- Erik (2/5): Very poor - The room.
They gave me was not clean. There was a dirty pile of swept up dust dirt and garbage left in there were no clean shower towels. The only towels available in the room were the size of hand towels and the television did not work. One of the worst hotels i've ever experienced.
- Teresa (4/5): - Unfortunately the bath tub was not working, not enough towels and not freshly broomed.
- Ms (1/5): Bad - Nothing TV didn't work shower was dirty bed was falling apart
- Evelyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Henry (10/5): - Tv wasn’t working, tv controller was filthy dirty, the tub wasn’t properly clean or it was just a stain. But the bed was very comfortable, clean.
- Zeph (5/5): Passable -
- Angel (8/5): Very good -
- Shannon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Chase (10/5): - Great property, would stay again. People were nice and room was nice. Conveniently located and easy to get to. Our only issue was that the bathroom smelled pretty strongly of cigarettes despite being a nonsmoking room, but would definitely stay here again.
- George (8/5): - Good safe quiet
- Orlando (1/5): Bad - Tv didn't work, bad mattress, and location not so grat
- Chang (10/5): - Very good price and nice sleep.
- Guadadalype (10/5): Exceptional - 👍 Excelente
- Teresa (4/5): Very dirty - The hotel was very dirty. Toilet looked as if it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. There was a big hole in the ceiling of the bathroom. The shower curtain was moldy at the bottom. The blankets on the bed were not washed but the sheets were clean. The wires for the TV and cable box were hanging down in a waded mess above the table. Not a very good neighborhood. And people were sleeping in their cars in the parking area. I will personally never stay here again. Our friend that traveled with us had a room as well. Their room was even worse than ours. Hopefully they can get it together and clean the place up.
- Louis (7/5): Good -
- Jesus (8/5): - It was great
- Minerva (2/5): - liked that it was close to the freeway, other than that the place was very dirty, the bathtub had a dirt ring around it, the sink would plug up, the floors were dirty, the T.V. would only get one channel, only one towel and wash cloth in the room, and the room had a smell to it. Will never stay there again.
- Heidi (9/5): Superb - a lot cleaner and nicer on the inside than what I expected driving in. Manager was very helpful after I locked my keys and phone in the car!!
- Kaitlyn (8/5): - The proximity to Moss Landing and Monterey was really nice for the price. The room was a bit dirty, but nothing that was outrageous. I’d definitely stay here again if I have to travel on a budget.
- Carol (2/5): Seat broken off toilet - There were problems. The toilet was broken with no seat. Bathroom counter dirty. Dirty towels and no pillow case. Room was spacious but serious problems.
- Juback (8/5): Very good - I accident put the wrong day but the property manager was very nice and fix it
- Timothy (6/5): - I received several messages from both Orbitz and Coastal Valley Inn reminding me to check in before 11 PM. What would they have done if my flight was delayed and I couldn’t have checked in before 11 PM? When I got there at about 10:15 PM the office was dark. I pressed a doorbell and someone came from a back room, turned on the lights, and invited me in for my check in process. When I entered my room and closed the light switch by the door no light came on so I had to search my room in the dark for a light switch that would turn on a light. There was one washcloth and four hand towels with the lowest possible GSM (grams per square meter) to be considered towels, and no bath towels or bathmat. Otherwise it served its purpose, clean, quiet, and near the event I was attending.
- Gloria (10/5): - It was a great stay
- Paul (6/5): - It may have been extra noisy because they gave me a room with main street outside my window, all night long :-( Just request away from street will help a little.
- Rebekah (1/5): Unsanitary and loud- do not recommend - N/A This place was incredibly loud and unsanitary. There was blood all over the bathroom, the shower was dirty, the walls were dirty, it looked like there might’ve been feces over one of the beds. The comforter had the thickness of a bed sheet. The walls were paper thin. We could hear people walking outside our room, doors closing, cars passing, and birds chirping all with the windows and doors closed. We were supposed to stay for multiple nights but left after one. We left before check out time and let the front desk woman know. They were not willing to cancel the remaining nights on our reservation.
- Maria (5/5): No coments - Nothing Nothing toilet paper, a lot of mosquitos flying over the sink, stains on walls next to the toilet , not enough parking , second night we have to park on the street, etc.
- Christopher (6/5): - Bed was comfortable, room could have been a little cleaner.
- Matthew (4/5): My room was dirty, I was afraid to sleep on the bed because it wasn’t clean and I killed a roach. There was no toilet pa - Nothing Dirty, lady at front desk was rude
- Daisy (10/5): - Very nice quiet safe hotel
