Kelly (9/5): Great little place to stay if you're looking for something other than a chain hotel.Highly recommend - The whole experience from check in to check out was very good. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I loved that there was a fridge inside the room. Overall experience was good. Highly recommend. The only complaint my husband had was that he had to carry my heavy suitcase up the narrow staircase. I told him if that was the only complaint, I would take it. I really liked this place.

Julia (10/5): A cozy little inn, perfect for our one night stay. - My party got to the inn late at night when the host was already out for the night but we were still able to check in with ease. The room was perfect for us and the decor and Shakespeare theme was delightful. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of choices and a full self serve coffee and tea bar. I would absolutely come here again and I'm sure I will.

The decor was far too “busy” for our taste—nick nacks, curios, pictures occupying every nook and wall space took away for us some of the serenity the place could offer—it also made the rooms seem to close in on one .

Nicholas (10/5): Perfect location in the heart of town - Perfect location right in the middle of town, walking distance to restaurants and the Shakespeare theaters. Comfortable rooms (we had 4 rooms for our group and all were great), nicely decorated and well-provided with towels, kitchen things (in the room with a kitchen!), etc. The breakfast was wonderful--homemade yogurt, egg fritata, sausage, fresh fruit, served in a cozy front room. This was a great choice.

Albert (9/5): The Bard's Inn is a charming, comfy, old fashioned, colorfully decorated place. - Breakfast was excellent, with a nice mixture of hot and cold dishes which varied each day, fresh fruit, bread and muffins, cereal, juice and coffee. The chairs in the room were small and didn't facilitate reading comfortably in the room.

I woke up at 2 am because of bad smell and never caught nap again. Later I discovered that the damp smell was emanating from basement. The owners should do something about it.

The hosts were incredible and very friendly. Breakfast was varied and the best we've had in a while, with lovely homemade plum jam! We checked in very late on the 1st day and it wasn't a problem. Finding the place was easy and there was always parking just outside where our room was. We stayed here at the start of our road trip and again at the end and would definitely return if in the area. 1993 (10/5): - Lovely rooms, perfectly sized for a couple and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was plenty, including homemade plum sauce, Apple compott, and much much more. I can only highly recommend you visit it yourself.

Very good breakfast with choices and homemade yoghurt! In a quiet residential area. Nothing to do with the property but walking back from the theatre there are no streetlights so a small flashlight would be helpful. Several houses had left their porch lights on so that helped immensely.

Jeremy (8/5): Cute, eclectic B&B in an old house in a residential neighborhood, great breakfast. - This place is a fun bed & breakfast in an old craftsman house. The decor is eclectic and fun, which appealed to us, but some people might find it kind of overstuffed or busy. LOTS of throw pillows.... The breakfast was excellent, with lots of options, many homemade dishes and condiments, in a sort of family-style setting. Our room had a full kitchen! There was a tiny, tiny TV in the room, set up where there was nowhere to sit and watch it. Despite there being a full kitchen, there was no table to eat at. The decor might not be to everyone's taste. Also, the lot next door was an active construction site, as of summer 2025.

Ideal location within walking distance of the town centre as well as to several national parks and scenic drives. Clean and comfortable with coffee in the room and body lotion included. Superb breakfast with several healthy options. Nice garden to take in the evening air. A lot of furniture in the room so it would be hard to have 2 clamshell suitcases open.

Kimbel (4/5): - The property is unique and historically significant. The room was comfortable, with a kitchenette. However, it was crowded with furniture (no place to conveniently open a suitcase other than the floor or bed). Also, both the curtains and fabric shower curtain hadn’t been dusted in a long time, and the shower curtain liner was mildewed on the hem. The wall around the bathroom sink was spattered. I found sleeping impossible not because the bed was uncomfortable (it was great) but because the sheets reeked of fabric softener. My hands and pajamas actually smelled like fabric softener, it was so strong. The bathroom towels smelled like they had been forgotten in the washer and the musty smell covered up with excessive fabric softener. The breakfast was good and offered lots of choices, including delicious homemade yogurt. Even though this place is incredibly convenient to the Utah Shakespeare Festival, I do not plan to stay here again if I attend next year.
Kevin (5/5): Okay for a one night stay but would stay elsewhere the next time we pass through Cedar City. - Property is a bit run down and not very clean.

Cheryl (7/5): This is a very quaint bed and breakfast located close to the middle of town. - There were many choices for breakfast - a frittata, sausages, cereals, toast, oatmeal, pastries, yogurt, fruit spreads, juice & coffee bar. Second day we had spinach quiche along with the above servings. Excellently prepared food and delightful table settings made it a grand breakfast. The bedding (linens) slipped off the mattress and the mattress was a bit soft. On drawback, the staircase (very tight quarters) prevented me from bring in my suitcase. I had to go down each evening to retrieve clothing for the next day.
Marian (8/5): I would definitely return and highly recommend. - The hospitality and host and incredible breakfast choices were my favorites. I have sometimes been spoiled and had access to the kitchen. But we did have a microwave in the room as well as coffee set up. (Even wine glasses and a wine bottle opener.)
