Sandra (9/5): It was pleasant, location was great, price was good and it was quiet. - the staff were really friendly and helpful. addressed me by name and gave me a room that was down the back and really quiet. It is close to work and competitively priced. All rooms are on ground floor and had additional facilities (ie; microwave) There was no "drop box" to put my key in when I was leaving before the office opened. Someone came out when they heard me placing the key under the door so was all good.

It lacked many basic offerings; no local information folder, no information on the Hotel itself, 2 very small milk portions in the fridge, 2 tea bags , 2 coffee sachets etc very limited in that regard. No mini bar. Light globes in both bed side lamps were blown / not replaced. Shower tiles & screen clearly dirty / required deep scrubbing/cleaning.

Would have been good to have some shelves in the wardrobe so we could unpack the suitcase, but that is a minor point.

We didn't use the pool but it was clean and had it been warmer, I would have used it! The bed could have been more comfortable- basic. But value for money was good. It was fairly cold but luckily the heating worked well.

The motel is in a great location close to Box Hill, peaceful and very well maintained. Our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything we needed. I enjoyed a morning walk in the reserve behind the motel ending up at Deakin University campus. There were also laundry facilities available. We felt safe and cosy here. Would happily return if needing accommodation in the area again. Thank you Carol and staff for a lovely stay.
