Das Zimmer ist ist groß, hell, und auf liebenswürdige Art ein bisschen altmodisch - die Einrichtung besteht noch aus echtem, dunklen Holz. Das Frühstücksbuffet war völlig ausreichend, der Pool groß und sauber, das Personal durch die Bank freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich werde hier gerne wieder einkehren. Die Liegen rund um den Pool sind unbequem. Wenn man länger drauf verweilt, drückt der Metallrahmen durch die Rattanbespannung hindurch schmerzhaft ins Kreuz. Eine Auflage/Matratze würde helfen...

Chris Wolf (10/5): Uistekend hotel in hartje Vientiane - Wij zijn nu voor de derde keer geweest (voorheen nov. 2022 en 2024) en het hotel beviel nog steeds uitstekend. Het personeel herkende ons nog bij binnenkomst; ofwel een goed en gastvrij geheugen of wij hebben een goede indruk achtergelaten. Wij gokken op het eerste. Het zwembad is recentelijk gerenoveerd en dat maakt dat het een erg prettig zwembed is om te zijn. In het gehele hotel heerst een rustige, maar huiselijke sfeer. Daar draagt het personeel absoluut aan bij; ze zijn vriendelijke, behulpzaam en vooral oprecht aardig en geinteresseerd. De kamers zijn ruim en stil; ook de kamers aan de voorzijde van het hotel. Je hebt geen last van de weg die voor het hotel langs loopt. Als we iets moeten noemen dan is het dat het matras naar onze smaak iets te hard is. Dit is absoluut geen dealbreaker; maar puur een kleine opmerking.

Irina (8/5): Nice stay in Le Charme - I had a nice stay at the Le Charme Hotel in Vientiane. The hotel itself is very nice, and the swimming pool - with wonderfully cool water - was one of the highlights of my visit; I truly enjoyed my morning brief swim. The staff were consistently kind and friendly, and the hotel rooms were spacious, with a comfortable bed and well-functioning air conditioning, which was absolutely essential given the very hot weather during my stay in Laos. Overall, these elements made the hotel feel comfortable and welcoming. There are, however, several reasons why I would not choose this hotel again. The location, while convenient for those wanting to be close to restaurants and major streets, is extremely noisy. Sounds from the busy main road carry into the rooms, and additional noise comes from a nearby building undergoing renovation, with work continuing from early morning until late evening. I was initially assigned a room next to a piece of machinery that produced constant noise; although I appreciate being upgraded to another room, the noise issue remained due to the street. Another point of caution is mosquitoes: despite the room being disinfected, I experienced mosquito bites on the first night. There were no plug‑in repellent devices available - only chemical sprays, which are not ideal. In terms of value for money, I find the hotel on the expensive side, especially considering that four‑star hotels in the city often provide much better value for a similar or lower price.

Krista (9/5): Very nice hotel in a fantastic location - Very nice hotel in a fantastic location. Our room was large, clean with a decent sized bathroom. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the best we had in eight weeks in Southeast Asia. Lovely swimming pool as well. We would definitely stay here again. My only complaint is that the beds in our room need an upgrade. They were just a little bit uncomfortable and not because they were hard (I’m used to that with Asian beds) but the mattresses felt just a little bit worn.

Balcony for our room was too small to use. Staff helpful at reception but some difgiculty with English. Would stay again. Our room was generous size with desk, chair and light. Also two upholstered, comfortable chairs...a very nice touch.

It was suggested we used the shower in the fitness suite. It was well equipped with towels and shower gel, however there was only cold water!

Leeda (8/5): I wasn’t expecting that much when I booked the hotel room, however the hotel is clean, our beds sheets were white and cr - The swimming pool which was recently opened from renovations. Not the biggest pool but not tiny either. Our family room was big though it did not have a view would definitely book again with a view. Our family room didn’t have a view just a white wall from the building next door.

Bailey (9/5): Nice staff, good location, wonderful breakfast - Nice hotel in a central location. The staff were wonderful and were happy to take care of anything I needed including organizing my mini bus ride to Vang Vieng and my train ticket on to Luang Prabang ( which are not always easy to get). The breakfast was exceptional. Lots of fruit and yogurt along with the option to order hot asian or western food. As always, the beds were a little firm but not as bad as someplaces. This is normal for Asia so not a complaint.

Ester (10/5): Perfect hotel to stay in Vientiane. Very clean, good location, great pool and lovely staff - I had a great stay in this hotel. The room was huge and I slept so well. It felt very comfortable. The hotel is super clean. You constantly see their maintenance staff cleaning. The receptionists were also very kind and helpful with all of your queries. I loved staying in Le Charme Vientiane hotel. We used the pool ( very clean), and I loved the fitness centre which has the main machines for a good workout. The location is also great, close to the main sightseeings with bars and restaurants close-by. Nothing - all perfect

Stephanie (10/5): Lovely Hotel With Helpful Staff and Nice Pool - We stayed at Le Charme Vientiane for two nights at the end of our 24‑day trip in Laos, and it was a perfect place to finish our journey. The location is great — very close to the night market and many restaurants. Our room was cosy, spacious, and comfortable. The staff were professional, always smiling, and very helpful. Breakfast was also very good, with many choices and some à la carte dishes. The new swimming pool is wonderful — a quiet and relaxing place in the middle of the city. We had the pool just for ourselves, which was really nice. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back anytime.

Chaoyen (10/5): Great location and helpful staff - Convenient location, made-to-order breakfast, friendly staff, efficient airport transfer. When we checked in, the room had a bad smell. We informed the reception and they immediately moved us to another upgraded room without additional charge. Very responsive and nice customer service! Nothing!

Yvonne (9/5): - Comfortabel hotel met ruime kamers. Wij kregen een gratis upgrade, omdat we anders een kamer hadden zonder uitzicht. Restaurant wat er een beetje uitziet als een bruin café en waar je prima kan eten, Goed ontbijtbuffet. Mooi, pas gerenoveerd zwembad, waar we helaas geen gebruik van hebben kunnen maken, omdat het slecht weer was. De buurt waarin het hotel ligt. Smerige buurt.

Henri (1/5): Chambre sans eau et aucune prise en charge ! - Bon emplacement. Piscine refaite agréable. Coupure totale d’eau dans notre chambre de 21:30 jusqu’au lendemain matin. Impossible de se doucher, d’aller aux toilettes. Le personnel a dit se charger de la réparation puis aucune nouvelle jusqu’au lendemain matin. Aucune autre chambre proposée. Il a fallu demander de l’eau et avons obtenu 3 bouteilles de 0,5l. L’hôtel rejette la responsabilité sur la société de distribution de l’eau… alors que se tenait une soirée événementielle qui visiblement n’avait pas de problème d’alimentation en eau. Un incident de ce type peut toujours arriver. Ce qui est détestable c’est le manque total de prise en charge des clients dans de tels cas. A plus de 50€ la nuit au Laos, c’est inadmissible.

La piscina è ben tenuta e c'è anche la possibilità di ordinare da mangiare e da bere. Pratico il servizio di cambio valuta alla reception. La palestra potrebbe essere più attrezzata

Richard (4/5): Disappointing - Stayed there because I stayed there in late 1990s when it was The Taipan. Loction is good. Rooms are big. The furniture has not been updated since 1990s. In my room the fins to direct the air in the aircon sideways were broken and missing. Had to change the aircon remote because no light in the screen. Poor choice of bread for breakfast. No duvet covers, just sheets above and below the duvet. Plug in the basin did not work. Dreadful water pump noise in room next to the elevator. It is way overpriced now. It needs updating and proper maintenance.

Kathryn (8/5): A convenient hotel for the sights of Vientiane, quite comfortable and with a good breakfast but a little over-priced. - Friendly, helpful staff. Good central location and comfortable bedroom with lots of space. Excellent breakfasts - some of the best we’ve had. The hotel felt a little dated. Although the reception area/restaurant was comfortable, it was a little dark. The swimming pool, though clean, felt detached from the rest of the hotel. Our air-con machine was noisy. The hotel therefore felt over-priced for what was offered.
