The room was new remodeled and super cute with everything you could want. We plan on staying for 5 days this summer. We love this place!!!!!! Thanks MeiMei for your hospitality.

• Holley (9/5): A beautiful way to unwind after a long work day, and rest well before another day. - Location is stunning, views amazing, Staff friendly and went above and beyond. Had delicious dinner, on a patio with an outstanding view. Had the BEST laksa It would have been better if I could have stayed longer!
• Pat (8/5): Very nice. Lively lady - Greet location. Enjoyed having an outdoor area to sit with a beverage. Restaurant on site was great. Rooms were a bit sparse. Only one bedside table. No side tables next to sofa.
• Tim (4/5): - Bathroom was nicely renovated and bath soaps and shampoo were nice. Space was adequate. Staff was pleasant and tried to help when we had the leaky refrigerator. Just because you bring your pet with you, You shouldn't be relegated to a unit that has ripped carpet and a leaking refrigerator. Room carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. When using the microwave for the first time there were moldy crumbs on the glass plate, Limited cutlery in the kitchen set up. The resort pictures showed several units that were totally renovated and we were placed in a unit that was not very nice.

The hostess was very warm and welcoming, introducing the surrounding area and local activities in detail, which was extremely helpful for planning the next part of our trip.

The restaurant deck view is stunning and the food very good. Love the Asian flair. Great grass and yard area to throw the ball for my doggy. A lot of seating areas for a picnic too. We were in a lower suite. Could hear the people upstairs thumping loud when they walked. I think the ceiling is thin.

• Rob (9/5): Nice place. Comfy bed and bedding. - Very clean, nice room. She gave us an upgraded room but we just needed a 8 hour sleep. Beautiful surroundings on the water. 200 a night is a little more than I would like to pay. We just needed a clean bed and shower.

• Johnson (8/5): Canada, Sure Why Not - The view was great. It was pretty quiet, and the front desk gal was fantastic. Parking, coming and going, and mattresses were a struggle.

Very accomodating. The property was fantastic, extremely clean, and the restaurant on site exquisitely delicious. We are definitely coming back Soon ...:) Absolutely nothing, This was such a pleasurable place to stay. Great environment ! I guess maybe one thing ......The restaurant is only open for lunch and dinner, (closed Sunday's and Monday's)....... If this restaurant was open 7 days a week and serving Breakfast as well, I would never want to leave..... Over the top Delicious food ....:)

• Island-Lover (10/5): Charming family resort with big views - This is a laid-back, friendly resort that enjoys spectacular views of Kootenay Lake, and is home to a consistently delicious restaurant with an exceptional patio. Easily the most comfortable motel lodge I have ever experienced. Room decor is fresh and clean. My suite, which was at the center of the lodge, beneath the patio, and next to the housekeeping room, was nevertheless very quiet and comfortable. The entire suite was very clean. The bedding and mattress were very comfortable..The AC in the living area was very effective, enough to cool the adjacent bedroom. Low security lights surround the lodge, so it felt very safe, even during night walks. (Those on longer stays might consider bringing a blackout curtain if you need a very dark bedroom.) To my dog's great joy, the resort grounds include at least two acres of manicured lawns, pretty flower beds, a great tree house, a well maintained playground, and a covered patio with plush deck furniture and BBQ. Hotel management is extraordinary. They will care for you every moment of your stay, as well as before, and after! I felt like I was staying with good friends. I would highly recommend Kokanee Glacier Resort for a stay of any duration.. Families, couples, solo travelers, pet owners--come one and all. Everything was fabulous. I will definitely return.

Room was recently renovated and so was very nice. 15 min from downtown, close to free ferry to Crawford Bay and about 45 minutes to Ainsworth Hot Springs.Would definitely stay again, hopefully soon. Recommend highly if staying in/near Nelson.

• Marilyn (10/5): Our stay was wonderful!! - The hotel room was very clean and totally renovated with a small kitchen area, sitting area and separate bedroom. The hotel has a wonderful area outside to sit and look out over the lake. The owner was very friendly and wanted to make sure we were happy with our stay. It is a very well taken care of hotel. Nothing to complain about.
• Gina (10/5): Lovely peaceful spot. - Great location, great amenities great kitchenette with fridge/freezer, stove, microwave etc. Nice, quiet, & very clean. Air-conditioner worked great. Less than 15mins from Nelson. 30 mins to Ainsworth hot springs & beach spots close by. I came to kayak & paddleboard & this place was perfect. I would definitely come back! I could've used a hairdryer as i didn't bring one, but to be fair, I'm sure they would've given me 1 if I'd asked. The bed wasn't the comfiest, but i still slept fine.
• Christine (10/5): Highly Recommend! - We spent our 5 year anniversary trip at Kokanee Creek Resort and it was fantastic! From the service, cleanliness, quality, and food, everything was amazing. Right from the start we were met with friendly service and our room was beautiful and spotless. The restaurant is a hidden gem, beautiful atmosphere with some of the best food either of us have had in some time! Even if you are staying in Nelson, the 10 minute drive is worth it!

• Judi (10/5): - We loved staying at Kokanee Glacier resort - Meimei was so accommodating and kind, the suite we stayed in was spacious and clean, and we booked a pet friendly room which made it easy to bring our dog. The property was great to walk our dog around. We have family on both sides of the bridge (right in Nelson and in the Balfour area), therefore this resort was the perfect midway point between the two. We will definitely be back and will happily be recommending this resort to others!

• Jikke Gyorki (7/5): Would come back. - Unit was recently renovated and provided most of what was needed, anything else we needed (kitchen items) the owner was very responsive and helpful to address and solve right away. Main bed was very comfortable, but the pull-out needs to be replaced. Bathroom was great. Kitchen was great. Small unit but as expected so no issues. Was great for myself and my two boys attending a soccer tournament. I'd also suggest more hooks around the whole unit to hang things, bathroom included. Pull out couch as a bed needs to be replaced. Would also suggest a more detailed clean (corners, under furniture)
• Chantel (10/5): Great spot. - Its a quiet clean area. They are clearly upgrading the property which didnt have an affect on our stay. We got a newly renovated room with a living/kitchen area. The staff were very accommodating and checked in with us to make sure all was good often. The little restaurant had amazing food too. It certainly doesnt feel like you are close to the highway either. We will definitely come back if we are in this area again.

They said there was beach access but it was across the highway and difficult with 2 small children, I thought it was on the property itself from the photos and description. The room was very small. The pullout couch was falling apart and difficult to pull out properly.

• Kristina (10/5): Peaceful, relaxing and welcoming. - The location was great- quiet, peaceful, well cared for and yet a short drive from the main Hub of Nelson. The manager was so kind, sweet and gracious. The beds were so comfy and the rooms were clean with air conditioning and a full kitchenette. Perfect for what we needed and when in the area will definitely stay again.
