Guest Reviews
- David (1/5): Regrettable - It was available although sleeping in the car would have been an equal option Too long to list. The hotel was in terrible shape. It was dirty and disgusting. The room was tolerable in that it seemed to be fairly clean but the rest of the hotel needs much work.
- Samantha (5/5): - The location was perfect. The barking dog, the fridge leaked.
- Donald (1/5): Shit hole - This place is an absolute shit hole. It’s obvious that Red Roof has no standards whatsoever for allowing a place to stay in the franchise. The two chairs in the lobby need to be thrown away. The paint is peeling off the walls and it smells. My fiancé wouldn’t even bring her suitcase into the hotel.
- Earl (1/5): Worse stay ever. - Nothing The toilet was sinking down and when you go to use it, it felt like it was going to fall through the floor.
- Holly (9/5): -
- Ashley (10/5): I like everything about my stay - It was nice and every clean at the property There wasn’t anything I didn’t like everything there was nice
- Beverly (1/5): Could not stay whole night - No breakfast Well when we went in to go to our room the hall smelt terrible carpet dirty the room had such a smell we could not even stay there my husband got sick we had to leave we will never choose this motel again if we come back to Kentucky
- Byron (2/5): We will not be staying at a Red Roof Inn again! - The location was great! The hotel had a bad smell, it was not clean! There were doors slamming all during the night and loud talking. Someone needs to use the vacuum every once in a while and dust!
- Saw (4/5): -
- Erik (2/5): Over priced for what you get. - The price. The staff was not engaged, the room smelled, the paint on the walls was dinged up pretty bad, the floor was terrible, the bathroom door didn't close, the tub was filthy and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Additionally, the people hanging out in the front by the main entrance were obviously on meth.
- Caden (1/5): Don’t go here - Nothing Everything, our bed wasn’t even made when we checked in, looked like someone was sleeping there 5 minutes before. Smelled horrible around and inside the hotel.
- Trinidad (1/5): Bad. - The only thing I liked about this hotel was how close it was to the stores. Very dirty, the ac was broken and hardly worked, tried to double charge me when I had already paid online.
- Timothy (1/5): -
- Patrick (1/5): -
- Cotten (10/5): -
- sierra (2/5): -
- Sharon (7/5): -
- Linda (1/5): -
- matthew (4/5): - Floors in the bedroom were sticky. Hotel was is horrible shape. Broken floor tiles and worn out chairs. Receptionist were loud. Wasn't worth the money.
- Susan (8/5): A good place to stay with your pet. - The access to it was easy off the interstate and was close to activities. The parking lot seemed messy. The first impression was a concern but once inside, it was nice.
- Cathleen (8/5): - Staff was very helpful with my situation I had broken down on my way home
- Deidra (2/5): - Horrible atmosphere. Rooms were no where near clean. Stinks bugs, dead roaches dirty bathroom, pubic hair on bedding
- Gabriela (4/5): - Matresses were dirty, holes on the walls like if it had been a fight in there, carpets in the hallways and stairs were dirty, no microwave or coffee maker, homless people right by the front lobby.
- Tom (2/5): Broken - This place is a dump, our room was dirty, the one bed was broken, the cover for the air conditioner was broken and leaning on the floor. Will never stay here again.
- Daniel (10/5): - clean i liked everything.
- Aline (2/5): Do not stay here. - This place was just dirty and sketchy all around. My husband and I were only staying one night as we passed through town and we ended up checking out 2 hours after we got there.
- Anthony (4/5): - We did not stay there. We saw the worn condition of the building when we drove up. This condition continued as we walked down the dull / dingy lit hallway. The room’s atmosphere felt, “sticky”. Dull / dingy lighting. One of those places that I kept my shoes on because I did not trust the carpet. We turned around and left.
- Jean (6/5): - This place smelled in the hallways. I wasn't sure who was running the place. A woman came from the hallway and went to desk, but then a man showed up to check us in. Doors that were supposed to be secured were not. The floors were sticky and things were falling apart. Pictures on line made it look decent, but it was not. Did not have any issues, but still felt uneasy.
- João (10/5): -
- Michele K (2/5): -
- Kelly (2/5): - Made a reservation only to be told they were out of rooms?? Why take my money if you have no rooms available.
- Lavern (8/5): - .
- Kivia (4/5): - The local is good. The service is also good. However, the hotel leaves a lot to be desired in terms of cleanliness. Besides being very dirty, the bad smell is very strong.
- Gayle (4/5): - The staff was friendly but the property was awful.
- Dan (2/5): - We didn't stay, we were not satisfied with either room we were shown. The first clue we had made a mistake making reservations there was having to wait at the counter for close to half an hour. We would like to have the charges on our credit card reversed
- Frank (10/5): Good deal for the price. - Staff very friendly and the price was good. A little noisy on bottom floor should have picked room on upper floor.
- Anthony (8/5): - Good
- Jo (6/5): - Room was cleam enough, hallway had a smell and walls needed patched and painted
- Teresa (10/5): - You get what you pay for nice place to sleep
- Fatima (4/5): - Said online it was new. Joke. Place is worn out and hairs on sheets. Dirt on floor. Hair on the floor. I didn’t expect a lot for the price But clean yes. If j want dirty I’d go sleep on the side of the road . A lot cheaper! Nope won’t be back to any Red Roof Inn.
- Pamela (4/5): Not for me - Many children and dogs playing in the halls, playing with luggage cart. My bedspread was either dirty or stained.
- Kathleen (2/5): TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE - We were there about an hour eating our sandwich when I looked over and found black spot on bed. My sister found a live bug so we grabbed our bags and got out other. The front desk said I would not get that days refund because we were in the room. I will be contacting the corporate this week.
- Roger (6/5): - Cost was reasonable. ok for short stay.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not worth the money! - The place is nasty! Rooms need repairs. Dogs barked all night and our rooms smelled like an animal shelter. Comforters were stained. Pillows flat. Entrance to bathroom tripped my handicapped husband. Never again!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very dirty and rundown - This hotel was probably the worst I have ever been to. The online info and pictures do not depict the actual hotel. We got our rooms. Check in was good and clerk was really nice. We walked upstairs (no elevator) opened our rooms and the 2 he gave us had not been swept and there was still several toothpaste drops on the mirrors. The light from the window was shining on the headboard...hand prints everywhere on it. Our thoughts.. if they didnt clean the things that could be seen what has not been cleaned that you couldn't see? He offered for us to look at other rooms or have the cleaners come up and reclean. They did not do a good job the 1st time so lets see more rooms. They were exactly the same! We were not letting our grandkids stay in those rooms. We asked for our money back and he said he could do that. I checked the day after and it was credited. From the conversations with 2 guests in the lobby we got the sense they were actually living there full time. I know the price sounds real good but this place needs alot of cleaning and upkeep. Shame on them for not taking care of such a good opportunity to have a great place of business.
- Mike (10/5): - The property is older so it has some minor cosmetic issues. However they are pet friendly so I was able to bring my cat who is a diabetic. I have to give her insulin every day. They are very clean and the air conditioner works excellently. For the price you can't beat it.
- Alfredo Santa Cruz (7/5): - amables, se ve bien el lugar. Habia ruido de las otras habitaciones.
- Deborah (8/5): - Quiet environment.
- Maria (2/5): - Horrible conditions, room had roaches and smelled couldn’t sleep there went to front desk cancelled and left as soon as we could
- Melissa (2/5): - Dirtiest accommodations we have ever been in. They did refund our money because of mouse droppings and stains on the bed; Dirty sock out the window; bathroom dirty with curtain rod hanging off wall and toilet paper roll off the wall.
- Josefth (4/5): - Very dirty rooms. I have a picture of a bed sheet that is stained. Lobby smelt like smoke and everything was not kept up with and dirty.
- Mace (1/5): Bad - absolutely nothing bed bugs dirty full of drug activity
- Connie (5/5): Not good - Location Desk clerk was no where to be found at check out then she came in with a halter top on looking like she just came off the street. Floor in room was so dirty that after walking g to bathroom and back my feet were black with dirty
- Brenda (2/5): Take this motel out of your lineup! - This hotel needs to be condemned by the Health Department. There were only 2 items that would pass inspection: a hair dryer that actually worked, and a 24-26" TV that worked but there was no printed program to tell you what channel to search for. The floor was nasty - had not been vacuumed or mopped for who knows how long. The bed sheets were old, stained, and so thin you could see thru them. It took an act of congress to get clean towels the they didn't know what a washcloth was! There was no clock in the room so you had to get up, turn on a light and find your phone or watch to tell the time. There was an ironing board but NO iron. Duh! The final straw was when a cockroach was crawling up the bathroom door facing. The stairwell smelled like a dog kennel and hadn't been vacuumed in months maybe years. The picture to the left of this post is misleading. The shrubbery on the front was practically dead and there was no mulch - just a little dirt that looked like dogs had made beds in it for who knows how long.
- Paul (2/5): - Smelly, unkept, urine stains on top of bed.
Staff preoccupied, not availible or readym
Worst hotel in town according to locals.
Expedia should never reccomend..
- Verified traveler (4/5): Outdated pictures. - The pictures must be from when the building was new. It appears to be quite a bit older. Although, it appears they are trying to renovate, not sure.
- Liz (1/5): Worst hotel of my life. - Nothing Where do I start. The rooms were filthy. The toilet had poo and pubic hair on the seat and the bowl was full of mold. The floors were sticky, uneven. There are no baseboards or outlet covers. They gave us a different room It was almost as bad. We still had to clean the toilet ourselves before use. The AC did not work. Fan only. We had to sleep in the heat. Never again will I stay at a Red roof inn.
- Saw (1/5): Bad -
- Douglas (4/5): - Active addicts abound - needs to be shutdown
- Deb (2/5): - The outside of the building did not have curb appeal, there was curtains in windows that were half on and half off the windows, our room was filthy, the floors were dirty like they hadnt been washed in weeks.
- mary (6/5): - To be honest I’ve stayed in nicer hotels. My trip consisted of another hotel stay and that hotel was nicer and cost less cheaper. Your hotel is older.
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Monique (2/5): - I ONLY gave this location 2 stars for service and location because the lady at the desk was kind and it's minutes away from the ark encounter.
This hotel is HORRIBLE. I wish I had taken pictures. The floor was sunken in. There were gaps between the walls and the floor. It literally looked like they didn't even try to finish painting or anything. The beds looked like someone slept in them and just made the bed themselves, checked out, and nobody touched them after that. I don't even want to get started on the bathroom. It smelled awful. I know it's cheaper, but DON'T DO IT. Spend the money! My child and I took our behinds to the Hilton up the road. Ain't no way this place is still open and about to operate as a hotel. It felt like I walked out with something I didn't walk in with. I was itching and I didn't even touch anything. I walked in, looked around, and walked right out and checked out!
- Linda (4/5): - When we checked in the cable wasn’t working and didn’t come back on until about 8:00 that night.
- Randall (7/5): Cheap hotel for one night worked for me -
- James (7/5): Good -
- vojo (2/5): - I was not pleased with the cleanliness of the room. Front desk needs to take a course on how to be helpful and friendly. I would not recommend this hotel to others.
- Jeannette (2/5): Very poor - There was bugs.
- Duwayne (4/5): Not great but have had worse - Had food close by Had a very strange Oder in the motel and in the room
- Rozsi (1/5): Nasty, smelly - Sorry but nothing Dirty, not properly cleaned, paint peeling off the walls & doors.
- Lynda (1/5): Bad - Dirty smelly
- Leanna (1/5): Bad - nothing everything
- davekT2242UI (2/5): What A Bad Experience! - I place this hotel in one of the top 3 bad experiences I've had in 40 Years of hotels. When I started walking down the hallway I knew I was in trouble because it stunk. My room did not stink but it did have a lot of dust on the AC unit. There was a big hole in the wall where the door handle hits the wall. Room was very badly in need of paint and remodeling. There were noisy guests who were cussing down the hall and the room next door.
After about 2 hours, I checked out and went to the Microtel hotel across the street. I should have paid attention to the Corporate Lodging customer reviews because it was rated at 1 out of 10. Stars.
- Kristin (3/5): Awful and we’ll never stay again - The location was great close to our destination and near food options and stores. The hotel was filthy , the bed sheets and shower were stained when asked to give us new ones the guy had a house keeper bring us new sheets but wouldn’t change the bed skirt the walls in the room and hall were filthy , paint chipping, the floors were so sticky and dirty I moved the bed to check for bugs and there was rat poop under the beds along with trash and filth it was awful half the staff actually live in the hotel there was two cars broke down in the parking lot that have been there a while it’s more like a living facility than it is a hotel
- John (10/5): - Not bad at all stayed a week for work had no problems
- Lance (2/5): - The room had bed bugs so I ended up not staying and I can’t even get my money back for it
- Lucas (6/5): Pleasant -
- Amy Abell (2/5): - They had bedbugs and 🐜 very bad the room was dirty I had to purchase my own cleaning supplies
- Dorothy (7/5): Good - The hallways are dated, dark, & a bit of wet/musky odor.
- Nathan (6/5): - Property was dirty!
- Amelia (7/5): Good - The lady who was the receptionist during our stay was so kind and helpful The pillows were really uncomfortable and wonky, some were hard and stiff while some were feathery and soft
- Verified traveler (4/5): - A/C unit didn’t work. Toilet worked some of the time. Room needed repair and the floor felt dirty. I’m
- Amy Abell (2/5): - It was dirty they had ants and they bit me and my husband
- Robert (2/5): - The property was nice outside it was cleaned . I didn't like the room was dirty the bed sheets had stains on them and my girlfriend got eaten up by ants or some type of bug . And it stunk in the hallway. The vending machines didn't work
- Ashley (2/5): - Was a nonsmoking hotel but the whole hotel
- Steve (6/5): - It was fine for a nights stay for a group of guys. Just older and could use some work.
- Janet (4/5): - Smells like smoke in hallway, very noisy, bathroom door didn't shut.
- Cindy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carol (2/5): Horrible stay - It was terrible. Had a mouse trap in one corner stains on the sheet dirty everywhere. The walls were filthy and could use paint and the door did not have lock no door key plate !! No security whatsoever. This isn’t a good stay for us ! We stayed gone but still the AC didn’t work !
- Teresa (2/5): - The room was just not clean
- Sam (8/5): - The only thing thing is that the bed was hard and the highway noise is bad.
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tara (2/5): - Dirty, smells, toilets and sinks stay clogged, one chain on the door, no pad lock, possible bed bugs. Do not recommend!
- KEVIN (2/5): - Did not feel safe. Hallway smoky, rooms smell like cigarette smoke. It was lots worse than the pictures.
- Kandi (2/5): - The rom was very dirty and there were cockroaches
- Craig (10/5): Exceptional -
- Clayton (2/5): - I didn’t like anything. Property was extremely filthy!!!
- kevinpV961YC (2/5): Never again - My family is disabled and had to go there for personal reasons Ru the Gm indicated that our service dogs could not stay and thatwe could no longer rent there which is against federal law I would not recommend staying at this location ever especially if you have a service animal we have two and had to pay a deposit
- Brandi (4/5): - This use to be a pretty decent hotel. But seem like need renovations also a good deep cleaning hallways and rooms Floor and walls mainly! Staff was friendly!
- Anna (2/5): - The staff is great , but the hotel smelled smoke like someone was smoking in the room !
