- Jackie (10/5): Woodlawn is a buried treasure in Henderson. - Not the most modern motel. But had hot water, clean bed and comfy sized room. The fact that they came in checked the room, emptied trash and.made the bed. Made our second night there so nice. No kind.of.table on one.side of bed. Fridge did not work. Center ceiling light didnt work. Only lamps and bathroom.
- Outlaw57 (8/5): - Comfortable beds friendly staff No stopper in tub in case u wanted to take a bath

Didn't like the water pressure in shower it's to much pressure
Didn't like that they didn't have a coffee pot. Other than that it was a pleasant stay I would go back and stay there again
- Beverly (7/5): It ws convenient, clean and affordable. I would stay there again - It was convenient. The bed was comfortable. Walls had fresh coat of paint. No coffee pot. Old carpet. You can tell they have updated some things but still needs more.

- Jim (2/5): BAD - The place stunk when I arrived, I went and boight a can of glade which helped some. The sheets and bedspread had stains on them. It was obvious the bedspread had not been cleaned or changed since the last visitor. It also took forever to get hot water. The cleanliness was horrible. Also the room needs some updating.

- Sparks (4/5): Rudeness - Who ever the lady is that works the front is rude as can be. When trying to extend my stay but requesting a room with 2 beds instead of 1 she said she wasn't renting to me and hung up on me. Because we were still in the room. Even though all of our stuff was out, I used the phone in the room because my cell phone was dead.
- Hernandez (10/5): Exceptional -
- Latricia (1/5): Bad - Nothing That the motel was very unsanitary and the receptionist was very rude
- Latricia (1/5): Bad - The location was horrible I had to switch rooms because of bed bugs and I also took photos

- Bobbi (10/5): Exceptional - Great service and amazing location NO POOL ☹️
- Kaila (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chandria (2/5): Excellent water pressure - The front desk woman is professional, sweet and kind. I have absolutely no complaints about her nor her service. Water bugs everywhere, including the bed, shower, curtains and closet
- Teresa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (1/5): No room, no stay - I usually stay here when I’m in town. it’s usually very accommodating and near to where I spend my time. when I arrived, I was told that I didn’t have a reservation despite having booked online and received my confirmation. I therefore had to find alternative lodging. everywhere in Henderson, tx was full, the next town only had single rooms available. we ended up almost an hour away in a room that cost extra money
- Blanton (8/5): Very good -
- Machen (1/5): Bad - the location and price were good if you are late you lose your room
- Bobbi (10/5): The staff was awesome not to mention after I checked out I forgot a very sentimental piece of property inside the room a - I was Visiting my son at the local prison and it was right down the street. Considering I was from out of town it was nice to see there was a gas station at Dairy Queen and a Mexican restaurant right across the street from me. This was super convenient. Maybe I I’m kind of slow, but it took me a minute to figure out how the showerhead work. But once I turned it on, it was the most amazing pressure that I’ve ever felt from the shower at a motel!!!
- Frank (2/5): Very poor -
- Kevin (6/5): Pleasant -
- Machen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janell (1/5): TERRIBLE AND I WILL NEVER THE HELL AGAIN - ABSOLUTELY NOTHING there was mold in the shower on the curtain and toenail clippings behind the nightstand. I checked out early and couldn’t even get a refund for my stay. the GM was NOWHERE to be found and would not return staff calls.
- Ernst (9/5): 👍👍👍 - really really surprised I stayed at worse places for more dollar! the staff is really nice! all perfect for the price
- Kay (5/5): Overall if you need to save money and aren't going to be there long, this is the place. - I liked the cost and convenient location. Staff was freindly and helpful. Very affordable for short stay. Used Wifi once and it was fairly fast. Bathroom had moldy tile. Could not get hot water in sink but had hot water in tub. Take your own shampoo as all we were provided was two small cake soaps. Overall if you need to save money and aren't going to be there long, this is the place. No continental breakfast either. $70 for two full size beds was more affordable than $139 a night as advertised elsewhere.
- Willis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Preston (9/5): Superb -
- Brownsuga05 (4/5): Disappointing - Was able to get rest How the rooms wasn't clean like it should be

- Smiley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rhonda (5/5): Passable -
- Rick (8/5): Very good - Clean functional room. Prices are rising which compromise the value of the stay. Prices should be in the $50-60 range. I can't stay there again for $89 out the door.
- Billy (5/5): Overall they stay was good. The people were nice. - The lady at the front desk was very friendly when we arrived. I had asked if they could switch my smoking room to a non-smoking. Received an email saying no problem. When I arrived, they were unable to meet my request. The bathroom could have been a little cleaner. That was the biggest issue.
- Louie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christin (1/5): Terrible - The location is great the front fest staff is great! We stay here a lot when we are in town.
We come in for the 3rd funeral for the month. The room was disgusting. Dirty beds sheets pillows and blankets were nasty! The found a meth pipe by the bed. Called the front desk and the man come and picked up the pipe and said yep that’s a crack pipe! We showed him the beds. He moved us from room 28 to room 22. Got to the new room and went to shower but there was no hot water at all. We called the front dest to tell him that again this room had no hot water and he said let me go check the hot water heaters. We never heard another word from him. We had to take a cold shower. We looked behind the night stand and found a opened tampon a molded hamburger along with some gummie snack and a bottle of lotion!
Mad is a understatement. We should be refunded!!
We had a funeral to get ready for and couldn’t even get ready in our room due to no hot water!
We will not be back!!!
- Rodney (5/5): Passable -
- Schug (3/5): Way over priced at $72 for what was delivered. - Bed and pillows were comfortable. Location was good, quiet. No coffee pot in room or coffee in the lobby.
Soap was 'honey-I-shrunk-the-kids size.
No shampoo.
I checked out at 7:30 a.m. and needed a receipt for business purposes but the lobby was locked.
- George (10/5): friendly staff and great customer service - everything was perfect nothing
- Charles (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jana (8/5): Very good - plumbing leaked
Didn’t really feel comfortable that the sheets were actually changed from the previouse
- Lulue (4/5): This was an uncomfortable night, and I will make a better choice next time. Staff could smile, free. - The price fit my my tiny budget. The sheets were very stained or dirty, not too sure. The pillows were extremely old and worn out. I did see a couple roaches in the bathroom. The carpet was not fit to walk on, and the walls were filthy. The lights went out for several hours along with the phone. No one answered and it was very hot and humid with no ac at 3 am. Check in was flat and not welcoming. The price did match the quality, so I did not bother to explain to management. Check out at 10 is a little ridiculous.
- Dana (4/5): Disappointing -
- Andre (8/5): - Decent fir the price and location
- Kiara (10/5): - I loved it
- MomandPops132 (10/5): Quick trip to visit our son - My wife and I made an unscheduled (due to postponement in work) trip to visit her son in Henderson, Texas. I had looked several months before on one of the popular hotel/motel reservation sites when we had considered making the 7 1/2 hour trip up from Corpus Christi, Texas but were unable to go due to work schedule. I'd found the Woodlawn Hills Motel and thought it looked pretty good. Tagged and saved it but didn't book/reserve @ that time. We called prior to our drive up, reserved a room and let the manager, Genie, know we'd be in very late (early!) about 3:30 a.m. that night. Got into town as planned and met Genie, paid for the room, and headed inside for sleep...next [afternoon!] day we got up and I took the dogs out for a walk and to do their business, What a Pleasant Surprise!! The motel is two tiers of pairs of ten room buildings nestled in the hills and pine trees as if the land was created FOR it, Absolutely Beautiful! The pictures on the reservations site really cannot do it justice. You have to experience the place firsthand...the freshly milled treated pine timbers that create the porches' overhang, the way the motel and surrounding grassy areas cradle one another, it's really something to behold. Rooms were clean and neat and we (and the dogs!) loved the King bed and down pillows, slept like babies! The bathroom sink hot water takes a bit to get warm but the water is outstanding, fresh and tasty like good mineral/well water from the Kansas/Nebraska heartland of America....and when we went to visit our son, it was only a mile and a half away! Couldn't have asked for a better out-of-town experience. If you're headed to/thru Henderson, Texas toward Tyler, Shreveport, or any other nearby destination (the Hwy. 79/ Hwy. 64/ and third road [5 -way crossing] is RIGHT outside of the parking lot @ Woodlawn Hills {absolutely NO road noise due to the elevations changes on-property}, my wife and I HIGHLY recommend y'all stop and stay a while...(it's pet friendly to boot!!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfectly fine for a night's sleep. Some road noise, but not too bad.
- Porsche (8/5): - It was ok
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I was disappointed because there was no shower we could use in the room only a bathtub. There was a shower head with no way to divert the water flow to pour out of the shower head.
- Cindy (8/5): Nice place - Nice owners, and clean place, would stay again, only problem was not able to get wifi
- cmrreno (8/5): Friendly Staff - Stayed the night at this hotel on our way home from our trip, it's an older hotel, staff was very helpful and friendly, the price was fair and the rooms was really clean would def stay here again, passing through Henderson
- miac392 (6/5): Alright for overnight - We were heading home from Round Top antique shows and just need a place to lay our head. We checked out the room before paying. This is an older motel and could use some serious TLC. I ALWAYS check the room before bringing in or setting down my luggage — particularly for any type of bugs, hairs or stains. I didn’t find anything of the sort. There was a little water on the bathroom floor but the lady on duty said she had recently cleaned the bathroom and probably sprayed some out of the shower. After taking a shower, I have no doubt that that high pressure sprayed it out. The bathroom door had several coats of old paint so it wouldn’t close all the way. Big TV and bed. Convenient and free parking directly outside our room. Continental breakfast provided. Decent, but nothing to write home about.
- Victoria (8/5): - It was a good stay. Clean rooms nice staff. Would stay again.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very hard bed - Right off busy hwy could hear the trucks all night. A/C was super loud everytime it kicked on, and the beds were super hard. Booked for two nights ended up leaving after the first night even though we couldn't get a refund. Just couldn't do another sleepless night. Staff was really nice, and place is pee friendly.
- Rachel (10/5): A pleasant stay - The only thing is that the TV was not loud enough to be easily heard.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The people were so nice and helpful, they really made it feel like visiting family. Great value and location!
- jjongsb (2/5): Very Nasty - The smell of the room was of old wood and tobacco smoke though I requested a non-smoking room. The tub had broken tile and the water came out a minty green. There was electrical outlets I didnt feel it was safe to plug anything in. There was live roaches in one of the bedrooms and I personally had to leave the room to buy cleaning supplies. The bed had questionable stains as well. The room I had to stay in was in the upper part where there was hardly any lights so therefore it was a danger risk at night. Spiders hung from both the inside and outside. It wasn't worth the $68 dollars I had to pay.
