Guest Reviews
- Terry (10/5): Seahouses - Really well equipped, spotlessly clean, fantastic location, if you are in to tech check out the custom PC š Nothing.
- Peter (8/5): very nice stay in a great location - N/A in hot weather the lounge is very hot - a blind in the ceiling window would be good
- Margot (9/5): Wonderful home away from home for a few days - Location and cleanliness great. Facilities excellent with everything we needed an plenty of room. Nothing to speak of
- Jackie (9/5): Brilliant ! Couldnāt ask for a better place to stay - Absolutely loved the quirkiness of the house. Finished to an excellent standard. Perfect location for visiting Northumberland. The host was available to answer any questions plus very accommodating as we arrived earlier than expected and he allowed us access to the property early. Nothing !
- Dino (10/5): High-end stay - A lovely house - surprising from the front but a huge downstairs room and two great, en-suite bedrooms. Add in parking for two cars and a sun-trap, enclosed rear and it would make a great place for two couples or a family.
Big kitchen with everything you need if you want to cook, but lots of nice restaurants nearby.
Everything throughout the house feels high end - the kitchen, the bathroom fittings etc.
Great location, a few minutes walk to the shops and restaurant and the front is only 5 minutes.
- Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional - Modern, spacious house close to town centre and beach. Excellent large comfortable double beds and luxurious bathrooms. The open-plan dining, kitchen and sitting room provides comfortable and spacious social area. Excellent, friendly host.

Great location in Seahouses, we love it there! There is building work going on next to the house, perhaps give the patio area a hose down as it was quite dusty and we couldn't sit outside.

- Stephen (10/5): a fantastic stay with a really nice host, would definitely recommend. - Michael was a great host, very proactive and accommodating, the room was very modern and bespoke...(not what i would call a typical room filled with Ikea furniture) the balcony although not a great view...was a very welcome additon, and as an extra space was really nice to sit and have a cup of tea, we had the smallest available but was still very comfortable and had a huge bath that was really nice, lovely toiletries too, really good touch.
It was a Bed and Breakfast so covering these elements....Bed was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious and varied...(be prepared to be stuffed if you pick the big breakfast), it ticked all the right boxes. Difficult to find anything to improve here, I did mention to Michael that the room was warm at night, and that an option of a fan could be useful, he took this onboard, thanked us for the comments would look into it, this would not stop us from staying again.

Salmon room was amazing - sunken bath, double shower, 50" telly, brewing facilities with proper kettle that does not take 3 years to boil, own little private patio with small table and chairs.
Breakfast was fantastic - traditional, kippers, smoked haddock, fruit, cereals, yogurt. And local black pudding was tip top.
We enjoyed all the maritime/coastal parafenalia dotted around everywhere.
Lots of attention to detail basically making everything extra special. Much better than staying at hotel. Go! Nothing

- Ginalou (10/5): Exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated. - Gorgeous room, exceptionally clean.Breakfast was fresh and good choices, host very friendly and knowledgable about the area. Nothing
- Angela (10/5): Fabulous, easy going and gracious host. - A lovely seaside vibe with bohemian flair. I stayed in the downstairs Salmon room which was very nice and had a little outdoor private nook with table and chairs. There is a large tile sunken tub with large rainshower fixture. Unfortunately for me, Michael (the wonderful host) wasn't there when I arrived, and I self checked in. It was rather deep and I am slightly disabled, so I was afraid to use it (fearing I would be naked and alone and unable to get out lol).
However, I found out the next morning at breakfast that all I had to do was call, and Michael has a step available for those of us not physically fit. I wish I had known that or called the night before because it looked fabulous. So just a note to those who may feel intimidated by that... ask for the step. (Suggestion to Micheal - maybe pop one into the little hall closet on the regular as it was the first place I looked).
On that note, for me, the best aspect of the stay was the graciousness of the host. First, he provided a lovely breakfast that aimed to please your specific wants. Additionally, he took time with me that morning to give advice, connect me with a car service at a cheaper rate to give a ride to the train station that evening, gave me tips for my visit to Holy Island that day. Plus, he let me keep my luggage there until the evening.
On top of all that, I had a mechanical issue with my rollator walker that would have really ruined the rest of my trip. He came over with his tools and fixed it for me. So, he was just a wonderful and gracious host, and I would gladly stay again! Thank you for everything, Michael.
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable. Great breakfasts. Location.Friendly host.
- Beryl (10/5): Enjoyed our stay enormously - Ground Floor, excellent bed size and really comfortable , excellent facilities, excellent host and very conveniently situated Nothing
- Jayne (10/5): Excellent hotel, very clean and comfortable and the breakfast. It was the best weāve ever eaten - The location was five minutes walk from the beach and centre of seahouses, directly on a bus route which went to Berwick on Tweed and Alnwick stopping at all the little villages on route.
Banburgh Castle was a lovely walk away on the beach.
The breakfast at the hotel was excellent, the best weāve ever had and nothing was too much trouble for the hosts. There was plenty of voices and cooked fresh to order.
The room was large with a table and chairs and a settee. The bed was very comfortable and the towels and bedding were exceptionally clean. Absolutely nothing
