Amanda (10/5): Kamloops - Very spacious and comfortable. Lovely comfy bed. We had the jacuzzi suite, the couch was very comfy. Food was very good. Lovely park just behind the hotel with a beach. Nothing, we had everything you'd need for a short break. Microwave, fridge, kettle and coffee machine.

The windows were filthy (understand hard to keep clean all the time). Our expectations could have been met better.

Carol (6/5): It was a bed for the night but we were glad to get away. - To be honest, not a lot. The staff were helpful and friendly though, and our car was parked securely. In spite of having a white noise machine and earplugs, nothing could make up for the horrible train noise which went on and on. A soaking wet towel had been left in our bathroom and there was a rather odd smell in the room. We were booked for 2 nights but left after one.

You felt very informal they didn't have much interaction and when I ordered from the restaurant and they got the order completely wrong and I had to go back three times and being disabled it was hard to do that

Cynthia (6/5): Underwhelmed and overpriced, 2.5 - 3 star at best - Location was great, across from park, river and arena. Moxies and shark club are attached. Other eateries and shops within walking distance We booked a park view, but the windows were so dirty and filmed we could hardly see out. Halls were filthy. A small fridge, microwave and kettle were provided, but I could not open the fridge. Their justification for the high room cost was that they are a four star hotel, they are not.

Joshua (7/5): Our main complaint is that the Jacuzzi should be bigger considering it’s a king suite mean for two p - We arrived at the hotel around 6 PM and the room wasn’t even ready. They said they still had to clean it. This was two hours after the original check-in times. Then once we finally checked in the room wasn’t very clean and the curtain was messed up so we couldn’t close the curtains. The room was pretty dirty considering they said they cleaned it.

Also, there was a fire alarm, which was unavoidable, but the next morning it wasn’t acknowledged by the team the next morning, either by way of an explanation or apology.

Jennifer (7/5): Too loud and dirty room - The location was right next to all amenities and the attached restaurant is a great bonus which had good food. Close to downtown. The hotel is lovely and the jacuzzi suite was perfect! The room was not cleaned and even when I asked for the room to be cleaned, I piled all the dishes in one area and they left dirty cups above the hotel mini bar area. The cleaning staff did not clean to standard but made the bed. There was a leftover coffee grounds inside the coffee maker from the previous guests. The hottub was broken but that was not mentioned anywhere or when I called to inquire about a booking. The hotel is also right next to a railroad track and the trains shook the room and bed, it was so loud! Another thing they should have mentioned when I called to inquire about a booking. The hotel was nice but overall I was not impressed with the cleaning staff. The room made me feel gross knowing it wasn’t cleaned properly. I know there was more, however this is what i remember and both myself and my partner were absolutely unimpressed.

Tracy (10/5): Amazing staff in an amazing place - We had booked into the hotel, and when we arrived, the most amazing Dinuka explained that we had booked a room on the side of the hotel that faces the train - she upgraded our room to the other side of the hotel that looked out over the park and river - amazing. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Maintenance was being done on the hot tub, which wasn't idea,l but we were told that we could use the one down the road at the YMCA and it would be charged to the hotel.

Honestly, there wasn’t really anything bad to say. The only complaint I have were the pillows. They look great when the bed is made because they are really thick, but when you go to actually sleep on them, they are quite hard. I should have said something to the staff and asked for different pillows. So that’s on me. I would definitely stay here again anyway.

Chailee (6/5): Good location. - The location was amazing right next to the venue. So that was a plus and why we booked it. When we went to use the hot tub, the Jets were broken.. so it was just a warm pool that we were sitting in, the hot tub also had a scum ring around the top so it would’ve been nice if it was clean.. in our room. We got a king suite with a kitchenette and the couch in the living room portion had buttons popped off and missing. There was also a weird stain on the chair in the bedroom. I don’t wanna speculate on what it was, but I have ideas..

Andrea (1/5): Horrible, NEVER again!!! - The girls at check in and check out were really nice. The hotel is right next to the railway. The trains kept coming every 10 minutes until 3 am and then again at 5am. The noise was unbearable. The fire alarm kept flashing all night, accompanied by a loud click. After I found a rubber band in my purse, I covered it with a cosmetic towel.The heater kicked in and out constantly, loud as an old fridge, the bathroom door hinges squeaked so loud, that it woke up my husband, and the bathroom fan sounded like a Boeing taking off. I am less than 125 pounds, but the matress was so soft, that even I kept sinking in and rolling towards the center. At 3 am, I was so desperate that I rolled up in a blanket and tried to find some sleep on the floor- because there was not even a couch in the room. I did not sleep at all.

9BillA (6/5): Nice Hotel, but Noisy - Modern well equipped hotel "across the tracks" from the main part of the city. When we arrived there were a couple of dozen kids running around the lobby area screaming and doing as the pleased with no supervision. I WAS NOT a warm welcoming. The worse part was the hotel staff wasn't doing anything to control the CHAOS that took over their hotel!! Our room was well equipped and no complaints. Large bathroom and decent room size. Coffee maker and coffee provided in the room, and a nice complementary coffee bar off the main lobby.

Tamara (9/5): Wonderful location, amenities, and excellent front desk staff - This hotel room had a kitchen with a fridge, freezer, coffee maker and a microwave. My room had a tv/living room area, seperate bedroom/ tv, and bathroom was spacious and very comfortable and impressive holding everything I needed. Having Moxies, Shark Club and Starbucks nearby were all utilized. The Indoor pool, hot tub was beautiful! Excellent location close to walk to downtown and beautiful Riverside Park. I didn’t realize they don’t clean your room unless you choose one of two options for cleaning, and put a sign on your door. So I didn’t have a freshly made bed, clean towels, or any coffee the next day. I just wish I knew this ahead of time. Not the hotels fault, but I also wait 20 minutes for 2 trains to cross the tracks as it’s located right beside them.

Michael (8/5): - Room was nice and check in was easy. But weirdly the hallways were very cluttered with a few pizza boxes and an empty tonka truck box. These things were I. The hallway from the time we checked in until the time we left the next day. Also, hallway needed to be vacuumed.

Margaret (10/5): - What a lovely surprise this hotel was I wasn’t expecting it to be so beautiful. The location is awesome. If you’re going to some of the restaurants in the downtown Quarter because you can walk. Lovely views from the rooms even the part that doesn’t look at the river. The staff were very accommodating. The parking was underground and didn’t have to pay me like that. The room we received was a one bedroom separate from the living room and the little kitchen and that room holy was it ever beautiful and perfectly set up for our family. With the Jack and Jill bathroom I would definitely stay here again. In fact I kinda wanna go now.

Chris (8/5): - Likes: Service was quick and efficient. Clean rooms. All drains were clear (very frequent problem at all levels of hotels). Gym facility was good and pool area looked quite new and clean still. Bed and pillows were great. Suite kitchen had what was needed. Dislikes: No water bottles as water tasted a bit funny from the tap. Train noise was expected but still not pleasant (although sound proofing was better than I had expected). A TV stand would have been useful as I plugged in my laptop for work and had to use the ottoman; no plug ins near the TV either. Train traffic created very long waits just to get back to hotel or leave property. If you plan on lots of in and out, this may not be the place for you.
