- John (8/5): Quiet, comfortable stay in a great room. - Iâve been staying at the Red Bluff Inn off and on for many years and I was pleasantly surprised at the work theyâve done on the rooms. The bathrooms have new tub/showers, sinks and toilets. The bedroom has new flooring and fresh paint everywhere. Iâll definitely be staying here on my next trip. And as a bonus the manager is very concerned about my comfort during my 2 night stay.

- Allen (5/5): The motel should be much nicer in the future, the work is being done. - The room had been renovated with new furniture, paint and appliances. The add said room had view of the pool. I'm glad we couldn't see the pool since the water was green. We had no place to put our clothes, ie: no closet nor drawers. The box springs sat directly on the floor, but the bed was comfortable, except for the bottom sheet and pad kept coming off the mattress. They advertised a coffee maker, there was none. Our room was right on the highway, but traffic was good enough to be able to sleep. No place to put our clothes. Desk clerk seemed stressed, but took care of issues. The pool! bedding didn't fit the mattress. There could have been an extra blanket.

- Richard (2/5): Would stay elsewhere next time - The room was inexpensive, the heater didn't make noise, and we had an opportunity to interact with Booking.com customer service. The listing stated that there was a 24-hour front desk. About an hour after making the non-refundable reservation (the day before our stay), the property sent two copies of a notice that the desk closed at 10:00 pm and that no one would be allowed to check in after that time. Problem: the earliest we could leave was 6:00 and it was a 4 1/2 hour drive, plus unpredictable traffic through the Bay Area. I sent the property a message asking if we could check in late, and another message to Booking.com pointing out the inaccuracy in the listing, and asking for free cancellation so we could book a different lodging. Booking.com got back to us quickly and backed us up, stating the property could not deny us check-in, and requesting the property allow free cancellation. Some time later the property messaged us, assuring us that "of course" we have 24 hour check-in (what?, not what they told us twice before - I guess the contact from Booking.com prompted their change of heart). We drove as quickly as possible once we cleared the Bay Area and managed to arrive at 10:15. The office door was locked, but someone appeared shortly, and we were able to check in. However, the entire experience was stressful, and soured our experience with the place. In addition to all of this, there were some bedraggled folks just hanging out in their car, and inappropriately joining in our conversation as we brought our bags inside. The towels were not clean, and the carpet of dubious cleanliness. Bed is only 18 inches high, which didn't prevent us sleeping well, but is a bit strange. The toilet was also lower than normal. Room small and intriguingly shaped.

When shown our email with the confirmation number they said they were not paid for this room by booking.com. We tried going in twice to talk to the desk clerk. They did not give us our room. We were however charged the full price for the room. We called booking.com ruggt away. We talked to an agent who called the inn. They said there was a communication error. Paperwork had to be filled out that we would receive a refund but to wait 10 ir 12 days to see the refund. Our money was NOT refunded. So no money and no room. We absolutely would NOT recommend booking here OR through booking.com. They refused to resolve the issue and recommended we use our credit card travel insurance to be reimbursed. So if you want a room that you can rely on staying in go somewhere else.âčïž

- Jo-Anne (1/5): I wouldnât stay there again for $35; quaint, old motel on the beaten path! - Sheets were clean, I managed to find the WiFi password! Even though itâs on a busy street, this corner unit was fairly quiet. Carpets are old and stained; towels were the same. This is an older motel, there is reconstruction going on with building debris in the parking area. Coffee was horrid, weak and not flavorful; telephone did not work. Shower head needs replacing, the whole place needs this room remodeled, there are old holes in the wall in the bathroom and the sink looks like it might fall off the wallâŠâŠfor the fees charged (with no discount for seniors, AAA or AARP, THIS WAS A MAJOR FAIL for me!

- Tony (7/5): Won't stay again, but was less than Redding and it was comfy and quiet - Room was freshly renovated, comfortable, and quiet. Not close to the freeway, manager was a bit of a PITA. I reserved under my common name, not my government name and he gave me the third degree and chastised me like l was a 5 year old who spilt milk everywhere to the point l was going to go elsewhere. When he realized how it was going he shut his mouth. even though it was recently remodeled, it was what l call a 90/10...90% done, still needed another 10%. Cheap linens and towels, seems like a lot of the Patel's like to buy the cheapest wal mart crap.

The pool is right on the very loud and busy street, and there were people hanging out on the balconies watching everyone. I didn't feel safe and went home instead of staying. Not a good place for a woman on her own to go. I'm inclined not to use Expedia again after this.

Second room didnât have keys to it but it did have a working deadbolt! Itâs the perfect place to have bad food poisoning on the toilet till 1am and thatâs about it. You get what you pay for.

Tile in bathroom coming up. No light in bathroom. Can not open bathroom window. Drainage slope in shower has to much of a slope to it. an unstable person would fall. Hard to adjust water temp. .

The guy at the front desk was talking to a friend in the office and was uninterested in talking to a customer but finally looked at and asked what we needed. He said he would bring an extension cord so we could plug the TV in the bathroom, he never showed.

- Heather (4/5): - If you ever go to Red Bluff do not...and i repeat DO NOT stay at Red Bluff in. The bed was something our grandparents slept in. My daughter would have had to duck to use the shower. The ceiling fan didn't work. The towels were basically hand towel size. The window was broke so we had to push it from the outside to close it. The pool looked absolutely disgusting. On the plus side. AC worked great. Mini fridge worked good (Froze everything lol). And the TV worked. Unfortunately, i wouldn't stay here again.

- Edward (5/5): For my one night stay it was âokâ but with just a bit more attention it has potential to be a very comfortable place. Th - Location, the shower pressure was adequate and the water was hot (thank you), bed was comfortable. Room was musty when I entered and the appliances were not plugged in - this was disappointed as I had made a nonrefundable reservation so the motel would be paid for the room even if I didnât âshow up.â So in exchange for this certainty for the payment it would have been âniceâ to have the room readied at least to some degree. TV did not work, front door lock was difficult to unlock, outside ice maker was not working and no ice cube tray in the fridge. light switch near the door did not turn on anything so had to grope around to find a light and then find the switch on it, (I arrived in the evening so it was dark.) While there was a single serve coffee maker in the room, no coffee in the room and none in the office â though the office had no âlobby areaâ in any case â and it was not open to motel guests anyway either in the evening nor in the morning.

I am disabled and needed a downstairs room and they put me upstairs where the stairs fell very unsafe and I got hurt on my hand because of the wood chipping and got a splinter in it they said they upgraded the room but it was very bad I felt very unsafe in the building they should be shut down
