• canikash (2/5): Stay where people respect you and their job - My wife and me were touring by motorcycle to find a good place to stay one week after finishing our 1 week sand box period after 2 days. We liked the architecture of the building and stopped there. We asked for the room the ugly face old man said that it 1300 Baht with breakfast. We said ok. While we check the decoration of the establishment that guy came again and said that breakfast does not include 😳.. we said ok and asked if we can see the room, the man said yes first, got the key.. suddenly... he found that sentence “ I can only show the room if you hold it “😳😳. We ran out fast from there

Plussaa oli suihkuletku ei kiinteää suihkua. Respan pojat aivan ihania ja auttavaisia. Rahanvaihtopiste heti ulkopuolella. Uima-allas toisen hotellin sisäpihalla.
• 281soniam (10/5): Great holiday - We stayed 13 nights and really enjoyed our stay at Orchid house, made to feel very welcome and all the staff were very nice especially Suwhit on reception and Naan in the restaurant. The whole place was immaculately clean, the food was excellent ,3 beautiful beaches in walking distance We were worried about the construction site opposite on arrival but it did not impact on our stay at all and would certainly book again , thank you to everyone at Orchid house

Aamiainen tehtiin tilauksesta, mikä on vähän kökkö jos on kovin rajoittunut tai tarvitsisi isomman annoksen. Allas on viereisen hotellun pihassa, mutta se ei haitannut. Allasalue oli suojaisa eikä ainakaan klo 15 jälkeen ollut juurikaan ihmisiä. Hotellilla hyvät palvelut, mm rahanvaihto (kurssi oli yleensä hiukan parempikin kuin viereisellä kadulla), järjestivät taxit, lautat, retket ym. Hotellilla ravintola missä monipuolinen lista. Huone oli siisti ja sänky erittäin hyvä verrattuna aiempiin thaikkuhotelleihin. Huone oli tilava.

• Alexandra (10/5): Mycket prisvärt! - Bokade det här hotellet mycket pga priset och bra omdömen och det visade sig vara en riktig fullträff. Det ligger inte precis vid stranden men det tar ca 5 min att gå till Kata beach och kanske 15 till Karon. Det ligger nära nattmarknaden och en massa restauranger men på en väldigt lugn gata där man inte störs av ljud utifrån. Vi hade 2 rum med connecting doors med 2 badrum och två stora balkonger. Vi valde den billigare varianten (fanns inget annat kvar vid bokningen) utan utsikt så det var en stor vägg en halvmeter från balkongen. Det gjorde oss inget eftersom det ändå inte var någon vidare utsikt och väggen fungerade som skydd när det regnade och blåste. Rummen var väldigt rymliga och bekväma och hade både kylskåp och värdeskåp. All personal var supertrevlig och hjälpsamma på alla sätt. Det fanns ingen frukostbuffé men många alternativ att välja på. Poolen delas med hotellet bredvid och är ganska liten men det var aldrig problem att få solstol och plats. Vi stannade två veckor på detta hotell och är supernöjda med hotellet och hela vistelsen

The beach is maybe a 10 minute walk, there are many restaurants, shops, massage places, travel agencies, ATMs, pharmacies on the way. The night market and a convenience store are just within minutes away from the property. Despite its central location, this hotel is very quiet in the night, which I loved! The pool is also perfect. The level of service and the amenities exceed what you might expect for this low price. The staff is very nice, like all the other local people. Strongly recommended!

• rafaelmS2921EY (2/5): Unfriendly staff at restaurant - The staff at the restaurant was not as friendly as I'm used to in Thailand. The food was not really good, the prices are moderate. The tip we gave was very generous but there was not even a "thank you". The atmosphere was not welcoming.
• AHungryAdventure (6/5): Consistently Good Food - We came here for food on more than one occasion, and every time it was great. The staff there are friendly, but one waiter in particular was always smiling and friendly, and would always wave when we walked past. The food comes very quickly and there's a great choice of different cuisine to suit every taste. The Massaman curry is particularly good, as is the chicken fried rice. Only dish I didn't completely enjoy was the burger as the meat was very fatty/not good quality meat. But this is Thailand not America so can't be too hard on them for that as the rest of it was lovely, as were the chips. Definitely worth checking them out, and the free WiFi is really good too.
• ZenNiHua (10/5): Peaceful and friendly atmosphere - I loved staying here. It's a bit of a walk to the local beach, but well-positioned for short rides to the other beaches around, which are also less crowded. The room was immaculate every day thanks to the housekeeping staff. The hotel has a driver who can take you anywhere you want on the island for a reasonable price, and the restaurant is fantastic- I loved the phad thai and spring rolls.

• sarahmc69 (8/5): Good location - Stayed here for 4 nights with my partner at £50 per night. Hotel is very clean and is in a good location close to the beach and there are plenty of bars and restaurants on the Main Street. We tried to get a bed by the pool on two occasions however the pool was busy and there was no beds available so we ended up going to the beach instead. We only ate at the restaurant once for a quick snack while we were waiting for a taxi to pick us up for our day drip and the garlic bread wasn't to our taste.

Hotellet ligger fint til i et rolig område med nærhet til strand, marked og butikker. Har bod her i flere år og skal jeg til Kata så er det her jeg skal bo.

Allasalue siisti, tosin hieman askeettinen. Vakioaamupala (kolme vaihtoehtoa) ehkä olisi voinut olla monipuolisempi. Hotellin sijainti todella lähellä kaikkea, mutta kuitenkin rauhallinen alue.

• Carl (4/5): Good beds, good location but beware of food. - Perfect location and you can rent a motorbike at the hotel for 200 baht / day. 5 min walk to tuk-tuk. 10 minutes walk to Phuket's finest beach. The hotel has a good and steady toilet which you will need if you eat in the restaurant in the hotel. There's plenty of good restaurants close to the hotel where you will find quality breakfast, lunch and dinner. Laundry service and taxi order service working smoothly. Make sure your room has a safe, and make sure you put any valuables there. Not all rooms have safe.

They understood our vegetarian order & made us a green Thai curry, Pad Thai vegetable noodles & vegetarian fried rice. Delicious food, great service. Must visit for those looking for Thai food.
• 744TonyS (8/5): Nice little place - I recently stayed for 3 weeks and found it to be a pretty good standard as far as hotels go. I got a good deal given the length of stay, I chose a ground floor room but was upgraded to a first floor room with balcony. All amenities work as expected, there's also a restaurant downstairs which is a plus. The hotel shares a pool with another local hotel, however, it's failry quiet so you will get a sun bed etc. The staff are polite. There were a few issues with house keeping, however, the manager listened and corrected the issues which was positive. The price is good for what you get, I found this to be a bargain in high season.
• bobbyvogt (8/5): Nice staff ! - I stayed here because I wanted to stay in a hotel reasonably price, comfortable and a pool. The room was nice with a safe. The staff was friendly. Did have a few minor miscommunications due to language barrier. I can't fault them for that. I attempted to book straight from the hotel since my previous hotel was across the street (beach heights hotel) I was quoted a price double what was shown on booking.com. I was confused why they quoted my a price twice the cost. I had to book through the website : ( . These minor issues are why the hotel did not recieve 5 stars.
• Kurt (8/5): Hyggelig hotel med god atmosfære. - Dejligt nyt hotel, ca. 5 år, rigtig god service både i receptionen og i restauranten. Rigtig god mad til rimelige priser. Dog skal man være opmærksom på at værelserne i den ene side af hotellet faktisk ingen udsigt har fra altanen på grund af et stort hvid jerngitter som dækker hele den ene side af hotellet. Det er selvfølgelig også årsag til at værelserne er væsentlig billigere, men fremgår ikke i hotellets egen information og det burde det gøre. Vi ville have valgt anderledes hvis vi havde vidst dette på forhånd.
• anvillageh (8/5): Reasonable price the area of this hotel is one of the nicest in Phuket. - Staff are very friendly ideally located walking distance from the beach. Excellent for older couple and those with a vehicle. All rooms have a balcony the quality of the hotel is good compared to other in kata and Karon beach. Staff are eager to help out with bags and information. Restaurant is good. There is also other bars around. Again you have to watch the price if some as they are extremely expensive for Thailand.

Tosin aulan tyttö ei osannut kovin hyvin englantia, joten jouduimme aina odottamaan, että vanhempi rouva tulee paikalle. + Aamupala oli täysin riittävä. + Alakerran ravintolasta sai todella maukasta ruokaa. + Rantaan lyhyt matka. + Matkaliput voi varata hotellista ja skootterin sai vuokrattua. + Uima-allas oli yhteiskäytössä muiden hotellien kanssa, mutta ei siellä ruuhkaa ollut.

• HattieLord (4/5): Food was ok, staff miserable - We came to eat here as it was close to our accommodation and taking heavy outside. The food we ate, just a pizza, was nice but the staff were so miserable! The guy that "greeted" and served us in particular. Never said a word to is other than that they had workers in today. We won't return purely for this reason. Plenty of nice places to eat where the staff are more than happy for your custom

Just across the road from the Chaba Hotel where we stayed ... and the code is on the wall for free wifi if you need it (it was free in Chaba, so no need for us). Well worth a visit!
• TimeLordAU (6/5): Good Clean Place to Eat - My wife and I were staying at apartments next door to the Orchird. When walking past it looked well presented and organised so we thought we would give it a go. Upon entering the wait staff were attentive and seated us promptly. The menu was a mix of Thai and Western dishes. All dishes were reasonably priced. We ordered and did not have to wait long until our dishes arrived. The food tasted great. The place was clean inside, has wifi (code is on the wall) and is cooled by overhead fans. I think we may have found our new local while we stay in Phuket.

• Mark (10/5): Top Quality Hotel at a very reasonable price - I stayed at the Orchid House in a standard room for 8 Nights during February 2015. This is the second time I have stayed at Orchid House and must say it is one of the best value for money hotels I have stayed in around Kata Beach. The location is good, set in a nice area near shops, restaurants and bars only about 10 minutes walk to the beach. The rooms are all very large for what is considered a budget hotel and in very good condition. The reception staff are all very friendly, cheerful and very helpful. Breakfast offers a selection of good quality European and Thai food. The restaurant also offers a good selection of food and drink throughout the day. The hotel and its public areas are very attractive in appearance and maintained to a very high standard. I will return to Kata Beach next year and subject to availability will definitely be staying at Orchid House.
