Stone Stable Cottage
Stone Stable Cottage is a converted stable with a rustic design. It is located at the front of the property and is adjacent to the homestead and main reception area. With its modern features, the chalet features a beautiful courtyard and outdoor spa area.
Hidden Valley has a number of orchards located on the property. The Stone Stable is located adjacent to the main residence and a short distance from the main operating area of the farm, therefore it can be affected by general work noise. The main residence houses the property working dog and at times these dogs may bark however every effort is made to ensure that during normal sleeping hours there is no undue noise within the chalet vicinity from the farm or house areas. The price of this chalet reflects this in comparison to the chalets located in the forest.

Guest Reviews
- Peter (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyable return to nature - This was perfect. We stayed in the Wilderness Cabin which, like the rest of the cabins, is a few kilometres off the beaten track. It is completely surrounded by nature with the nearest cabin quite a distance away - probably a good thing as the open air spa and wall to floor glass walls for the shower could be a little off-putting for some. The cabin itself is quite large with ample room. The kitchen is more than adequate with sufficient utensils, complemented by a Weber on the deck outside. The bed provided a great rest. There are only two things to do here - rest and enjoy nature - exactly what we wanted.
Would I recommend it - absolutely!
Would I come back - yes, as long as the cost does not increase too much. Nothing - everything was great
- Kurtis (10/5): Great place to get away - Beautiful spot
- Walker (10/5): Fantastic experience that validated the price - Everything was well set up, immaculately clean, fire place was prepped. Heated bathroom floor was nice There were no negatives from us
- Joanne (10/5): The most peaceful and immersive escape! - The perfect place to switch off, unwind and reconnect! We loved everything about our stay here. The setting whilst secluded and peaceful is still close to all that the region has to offer. The Eco Lodge was luxuriously appointed bringing the outside in with its beautiful picture windows. Soaking in the oversized tub for two and happy hour on the deck while watching the wildlife go about their day were definite highlights. Nothing! Loved everything about it and were sad to leave.
- Woolley (10/5): - How clean it was and exelant location Loved everything
- Skye (10/5): -
- Craig (10/5): Once in a lifetime experience - Magical location. Outdoor bath is divine. Indoor shower is so pretty to feel nature all around you.
- Chloe (7/5): Except for those minor issues It was a beautiful place - Being in the bush was awesome , the whole house was so lux and homely , hearing the birds and wildlife was so relaxing , all in all it was a great experience There is absolutely no blinds or curtains so people could see right in and at night it could be scary , the villas were to close to eachother so was scared people could see when having a outside bath or showering
- Georgia (10/5): -
- Alistair (10/5): Heavenly break destination - It was a dream in terms of location and design Nothing
- Sandra (10/5): - The serenity and cleanliness of accommodation Nothing everything was perfect!

- Jacinta (10/5): - Place looked even better than the pictures.
- Elissa (9/5): -
- Jarred (9/5): We had an amazing, peaceful time. - The lodge was very clean and "open" to nature. We were lucky to see Kangaroos just outside on our first morning. The location was perfect to easily head into Dunsborough, Yallingup and Margaret River. The corrugated road on the way in and out of the property was a bumpy ride.
- Jaiden (5/5): Not worth the high cost - Very scenic and beautiful Ants coming in the house, the bbq didn’t work very well either
- Matt (10/5): - Property was clean, private, well maintained beautifully located in an amazing peaceful setting.
- Tracey (10/5): Absolutely perfect 👌 - Absolutely amazing! And the attention to detail was just perfect. I already want to return and just left this morning! Best place to switch off and totally reset 🦋💚 Nothing
- Lauren (10/5): Perfection. Relaxing. Romantic. - Such a beautiful spot. We loved bird watching from the spa bath. Made a bbq dinner and watched the stars. It was so peaceful and quiet. We didn’t want to leave! There is nothing we didn’t like!
- Shelley (6/5): - Pillows are too hard, light flashing all night from unit in plug
- Farooq (10/5): -
- Glenn (8/5): -
- Brian (10/5): - The location was very peaceful. It was a tranquil vibe that managed to relax the soul.
The spa and BBQ area was were we spent most of our time. Being naked in such a beautiful place was lifting.
- Tom (10/5): -
- Annette (10/5): -
- Corey (8/5): -
- Michele (10/5): Serene and intimate - The property offers serene view of the nature , it was so pleasant to wake up to unobstructed view of the Australian bush. Occasionally you will get a view of Kangaroos . My husband and I also enjoyed using the outdoor barbecue and spa bath. We think there might be a resident possum/ animal living in the roof space, however it did not keep up up at night.
- Chivonne (10/5): A little slice of heaven - We had the most amazing stay, everything was perfect. Everything was perfect
- Zamokuhle (10/5): Relaxing and rejuvenating - Didn't have breakfast Slow WiFi
- Priscila (10/5): -
- Luisa (10/5): Amazing Stay , Loved It !!! - Everything about Eco Lodge 1 was amazing !!! Beautiful surroundings !!! We loved how we could see all the beautiful bushland and nature anywhere you were, whilst inside the lodge, or sitting outside on the deck, or sitting in the amazing spa bath !! Everything was clean , well equipped, comfortable bed . We enjoyed having the fire on at night and just loved all the comforts of this lodge. Great location. Definitely recommend staying here .
We have stayed in Stone Cottage previously and that was amazing too !!
Thanks so much Tim and Lilly , we will be definitely coming back in the future to stay again. Nothing to fault. Everything was great !!
- Kerryn (10/5): -
- Christina (9/5): Wonderful, tranquil stay amongst the trees and surrounded by birdsong. - Very comfortable and clean. Really appreciated having firewood from arrival for the cold nights. Only missing a few kitchen things which would have been handy - chopping board, bread knife, small bowls for cereal.
- Darby (10/5): - So quite and peaceful
- Kyra (10/5): -
- Antonia (8/5): -
- Isabel (10/5): private, peaceful, and beautiful. - The location is private, peaceful, and beautiful.
Didn't see a single person, not even the host, was easy to get to with the map they provided via email. So we just walked in and just relaxed.
Perfect place to escape to switch off. Could have done with more firewood. We ran out halfway through the 2nd night, and it got very cold.
The bathroom floor stayed wet, so a squeegee would have been handy.
And a few ants in the kitchen.
- Andrew (10/5): -
- Reece (8/5): - Everything The quiet

- Abbott (9/5): Superb - No breakfast supplied A little expensive.
- Magdalayna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (7/5): Stay was peaceful and relaxed. - The outdoor bath space was nice. Loved the fresh flowers on the table. Minimum kitchen facilities such as no chopping board, it would have been nice for the price to add a few local touches such as condiments, and short on towels for a three night stay.
Needs to be an info book, with WiFi passwords, and info on the property, as we felt we could not walk anywhere on the property.
- Samantha (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): Very good - Loved the peace and quiet. Also very cozy.
- Rodney (9/5): Superb - The full Wilderness experience and hot tub with nobody around Hot tub log fire

- Matthew (8/5): Very good - We liked mostly everything, it was a cute and cosy stay for our anniversary. We will definitely be back to experience more The privacy, the front door and window was completely open with no curtains or blinds. We used blankets and towels to cover up the doors and windows to feel more comfortable and private.
- Brayden (10/5): Exceptional - Very tidy, well kept and maintained. Having a N/A
- Drew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hesam (10/5): Exceptional -

- Ricky (10/5): Overall this place is absolutely incredible 10/10 would recommend and can’t wait to visit again! Beautiful location - It was such beautiful accomodation, the location is absolutely stunning and the chalet was incredible! - Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (10/5): This was the first time we stayed in the forest at Echo Lodge one which was absolutely lovely. You are surrounded by tre - The lodges are snuggled deep in the forest, which is so peaceful and serene. All you can hear are birds and the occasional Russel of leaves! It’s a magical place.
- Stacey (10/5): Exceptional -
- Olivia (10/5): Wish to have stay longer - Location was good. Check-in time was a little bit too late and I was not well prepared with food and drinks. Would be nice if sparkling water and some beers or even wine offered with reasonable price would be nice.
- Julie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Megan (9/5): Nice place to unwind and get away from it all and be in nature - Nice private location, enjoyed the outdoor bathroom and rain shower with bush views No blinds on windows so a bit cold and light coming in. Would have liked a bit of a manual or something with property info, recommendations of things to do in the area etc.
- Zdenek (10/5): Exceptional -

- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tai (9/5): Superb -
- Brian (10/5): Exceptional - Just WOW.
We stayed in the most beautiful chalet set amongst spectacular scenery & the best nature has to offer. It felt like staying in a tree house in a secluded forest. I could live there forever, simply stunning location! Fresh air, cute possums, extra cute bandicoots, beautiful lizards, black cockatoos, kangaroos & many other native species. The location is also home to the most amazing (FYI - they are tiny) spiders that look like rare jewels hanging between the trees. Just like our jaw droppingly beautiful & unique West Australian Peacock spider, these spiders are something you must personally see for yourself. The bathroom is something in itself, it's full glass windows make it feel like you're showering outside in nature. Then there's the large outside spa bath sitting on the rear deck & perfectly placed to watch the sun go down while chatting with native animals. It sounds amazing because it is. We're definitely returning & would highly recommend Hidden Valley Forest Retreat 100%. Enjoy & remember, only leave your footprints. Everything was perfect.
- Bevan (10/5): Exceptional - Loved the entire location. Secluded and so so quiet. Loved the sun rays through the front windows in the morning
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - Big comfortable bed, large outdoor spa bath, private location in the forest, exceptionally well designed accommodation.
- Gabriel (9/5): Very Quiet - Overall, the room was very nice. Ants' om the kitchen bench.
- Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - The most amazing Valentine's experience ever!
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful stay at this beautiful retreat ✨️
- Ashleigh (10/5): Great spot for a holiday - Such a beautiful spot to get away. Very clean and everything we needed. Plus a great location being so close to everything The gravel road to get in was a pain but we managed
- Jarrod (10/5): Nothing will prepare you for how beautiful this place is. Thank you so much to Tim and Lily for the incredible experienc - I couldn’t believe how beautiful our lodge was. The huge windows that showcase the surrounding nature provided an unforgettable experience that will most certainly bring us back. There are too many great things to note about Hidden Valley Forest Retreat from our experience. Simply breathtaking! I wish we took more photos, but we were too mesmerised by the lodge and its surroundings! The WiFi made planning from the lodge a little difficult. Which was explained in the compendium though, and a reasonable trade for the experience of the lodge.
- Angelo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tabitha75 (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simbarashe (9/5): Superb - Wuie
- Suzanne (10/5): We attended the region for a wedding although totally secluded this property was close to all venues but provided total - Peaceful, relaxing and stunning highly recommend this property Nothing
- Gregory (9/5): Superb - Beautiful location. Nice and secluded. Surroundings and trees around properties are beautiful. Comfy beds and nice facilities ie bathroom and kitchen. Isn't really much I didn't like. Only thing I'd recommend for the wilderness cabin would be a bigger fridge and maybe not having a glass table in the living area as smacked my leg during the night getting out of bed to go to the toilet but everything else was brilliant.
- Mercedes (9/5): Superb - Beautiful chalet, clean with nice facilities. No kettle.
- Barend (10/5): Absolutely gorgeous spot in the most beautiful forest setting. - Super clean. Tranquil. Beautiful forest. Outdoor bath tub. Bird life. Floor to ceiling forest views from every room. Absolutely beautiful.
- Nadine (9/5): Superb -
- Matt (8/5): Peaceful getaway. - Fantastic layout and location. The fridge in Eco Lodge 1 smelled mouldy, and the whole cabin had the smelled after it was opened. No other complaints.
- Kate (10/5): Perfect, romantic and wholesome - Honestly this place exceeded all my expectations. It was beautiful, heading into the property in the car the views were beautiful. Such a lovely property - deepwater was stunning. A big space in kitchen /living area, all the essentials in the kitchen and a map of the south west on the table. Some nice choccies on the bed. Such a magical and tranquil location and got to switch off from using technology.
- Tamara (9/5): Superb - Being completely in the bush not being able to see anyone No chopping board
- Michelle (10/5): Serene, relaxing adults only stay allowing for complete relaxation. The chalets are well designed and very comfortable. - The seclusion and quietness is exactly what we were looking for, for a much needed rest from busy day to day life. The outdoor bath absolutely amazing.
The wildlife that inhabit the area was varied and great to see. All happy to show themselves to us. Very unique to see Quenda, Brushtailed possums, kangaroos, tawny frog mouth owls, bobtail lizard and others that were a little more shy but definitely out there.
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional - Quite and peaceful Not much
- Gump (3/5): Nothing like what we expected (after waiting a year) - No comment No comment
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional -
