- 871jass (2/5): Haven Canal View room 1508 - If you're unfortunate to book an AirBnb via at the Damac Canal View room 1508 hosted by Haven i hope you see this brief review first! I don't normally leave negative reviews but this 100% deserves one. Visit date: Sat 8th - Sun 16th Nov 2025. (I departed a day early as i couldn't stand the smell, damp and consistently damp floors). Cost: £1111 for 8 nights This was my fifth Airbnb since July and quite possibly the worst apartment I've stayed in since being in Dubai and quite possibly across the entire globe. Check in: 3pm - No it was 6pm as the room was not ready and sat in the café for 3 hours making me late for an appointment. The room: Was damp smelling which was due to the AC not being serviced for sometime and also a leak from the washing and the water in the bathroom not draining away. The window would not close correctly meaning you could hear a lot of road noise. The facilities, fixtures and fittings were basic but i only used this room to shower and sleep. There was no way i would cook or eat in this room. I found myself most nights going out straight from work to eliminate my time in this room. I reported my concerns and issues on day one. Haven were responsive but didn't send anyone for the washing machine leak or the other basics i requested. In the end i gave up and stop responding. After departing from my 8 night stay I discovered all my clothes i hung up smelt damp and musty. *Photos attached* After proving feedback to Haven after my departure they had the audacity to call my about my honest review and asked me to revoke my 1 star and change to 5 stars based on the comment 'because our staff work hard!' Haven then responded to my feedback on Airbnb as they're clearly delusional on a customers true and honest feedback!

The on location hotel serves amazing breakfasts. I specially loved the omelettes made-to-order. I had a canal view room with a king bed. The room has all the amenities you could need for any short or long period stays. The canal view is also great!

- Relax51010732611 (4/5): A very bad experience from beginning to finish, unkept promises and dis functional elevator - When I arrived and checked in to the hotel I was told that the pool was under maintenance. But they had a solution and it would be for me to take a cab to another hotel 10 minutes away and they will of course pay the taxi back and forth. Nothing else was told and informed. Said and done during my days I do around 10 trips to the other hotel with a functioning pool. The very un-service-minded guy that handled the checkout told me I had to pay for the breakfast (one day). I then explained we can erase the 10 rides I’ve done back and forth to the other hotel for being able to use a pool (which i was not informed didn’t work prior to my arrival) since it will be a lot more than the breakfast fee. But to avoid paybacks back and forth I told him let’s say we’re even, and wanted to show pictures on the receipts. He’s then stating that I need all the original copy’s to be able to get anything from him. Which of course is not fair since it wasn’t communicated before. What I asked for was not the money back either, just to simply remove one breakfasts fee that he was about to charge me for. On top of that the breakfast I had, was at the end of the breakfast time and there was almost nothing left to eat. Of course this guy should not work with service, specially not at a hotel more than three stars. One other thing that was extremely frustrating was the elevators. How can it be acceptable that a hotel has 4 elevators and none working properly… for me it’s not acceptable to waste so much time and energy in an elevator. I heard all your visitors complain during the stay.
- 94awaish (10/5): A STUNNING APARTMENT IN HEART OF DUBAI WITH GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY - I stayed here with my wife and 2 teenage kids in nov 2024. The apartmenr was beyond my expectations. I was lucky to get a sweet deal and was received by Ahmed, operational manager. Hats off to Ahmed for his responsiveness and help. The apartmenr was quite spacious and equipped with all basic amenities like iron, electeic kettle, massage chair etc. Its located in a posh area of dubai with a walking distance to Dubai mall and Burj khalifa. It was neat and clean. It has 2 bedrooms (having 2 single beds and a large king sized double bed) and 3 washrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen and 3 x balconies with absolutely stunning views. We will definitely come back again. Theybtake a security fee of 1000 aed which is refundable without any hassle if no damage is done. We will love to come back here again

- 373kerriannew (10/5): Top quality, Friendly reliable service - The hotel was in the business district, close to the amazing Dubai mall. Overlooking canal, opulent decor. The pool was warm so not to shock the senses. More shade would have been nice over one end of the pool. Staff were lovely, friendly and spoke English as well as Arabic or their native language. We particularly liked our breakfast waiter, Deviaah was very friendly, attentive & helpful.

- Adnan (2/5): Waste of money - The worst experience ever, firstly the hotel shouldn’t be 5 star, 3 star services and condition, paid for the 48sqm room/apt but deliberately the receptionist gave us the smallest room in the world of 12sqm, it was sorted when i complained about it, awful breakfast and we were the only ones in the breakfast area, advertised as buffet but there was nothing in the restaurant, we had to chase the staff to serve us the BF which was already paid for and wait for 40mints to be served, this was the last time ever i am using Damac services as its only the name they are selling when services are just waste of money, definitely will not be going there back and wouldn’t recommend unless until you want to spoil your holiday and waste the money

The room was the perfect size for a family of 4 and the bed was a great size. The kids enjoyed the breakfast more than anything and my eldest wants to go back just for the breakfast. Also there is no safe crossing to cross the main road outside the hotel by foot which makes it very difficult to see surrounding area with children. We opted out of daily housekeeping, however room service was quick and we were very satisfied with the effort brought in to serving our needs. We’d also like to show our appreciation for the receptionist, Aziz. He made our stay very memorable and his professionalism and humor really made an excellent impression on us. Very above and beyond compared to hotels I’ve previously stayed at. Without any external influence, he is one of the reasons why I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends for the future.

- Sheraz (4/5): WASTE OF MONEY! - After finding out that Damac is the second biggest property developer in Dubai I was shocked when I got to my room. Cramped, claustrophobic, awkward are the three best words to describe it. For some reason no room is just a normal bed only layout they all have a kitchen in them. And it just so happens to be that the kitchen space is huge, it’s actually a full sized kitchen we’d be happy with in our houses and leaves not much room for the bed making that area very cramped and awkward. Which doesn’t make sense as there are so many different food varieties in Dubai I don’t know anyone who would like this type of property. The bed in all the rooms are horrendous. My and my wife both were unable to sleep and were left with sore bodies due to the terrible mattresses. We asked for a room change and the mattress is the same in all rooms. If you suffer from back problems don’t even chance this as it will make it 100 times worse, trust me I know. Another weird thing about the room is that there are so many chairs. I don’t know who’s idea it was but these chairs just get in the way of everything and really add to the cramped nature of the room. The staff are also not the best they don’t seem to be trained to be themselves, they’re all so robotic and are startled when you say something their script doesn’t cover. For some reason the lobby is on the third floor and you won’t see anyone if you never go there. Anyway all in all I would not recommend staying here.
- Pawan (10/5): Would stay again! - The hotel was perfect for what we needed. We were travelling with 2 kids so space was great. Better than a normal hotel room. The kitchen was also amazing because it made it so easy to prepare the kids breakfast. The only issue we had was a false alarm fire alarm that stayed on for ages that for some reason, they didn’t turn off even though it was a false alarm so both kids were wide awake!

- David (8/5): Exceptional service - The hotel has great facilities and the service is exceptional. Check-in is normally at 3pm. I had an early flight and arrived at about 9.30 am and within 30 minutes I was in my room. They couldn't have been more helpful. My room was fantastic and even included a kitchen. The location is ok. It's a 15 minute walk to the Dubai mall, but the area is still in construction and some of the walk does not have a proper path. My view from my room as well was not the canal, but more the building site. Could still see the burj khalifa however.

- Zain (10/5): - Very nice apart hotel with great facilities and near Dubai mall. On the doorstep they had cafes and near business bay which is a nice area. The rooms were a good size with everything you need. Swimming pool was huge and nice spa. Enjoyed my stay thoroughly.

The only complaint I would have, is that we booked a ‘deluxe room’ with a king size bed, but the bed in our room was actually two single beds put together with one sheet across. We had a few problems with our oven not working, but reception phoned the engineer who came within 5-10 minutes to fix this for us

The Business Bay is becoming increasingly popular and I was fortunate to get a view of the Burj Khalifa from my room. Facilities were good with a decent size pool and good gym, the room was slightly basic in comparison to other properties I have stayed in Dubai.

Have a small kitchennette which we did not use but may be helpful for some families Staff was very friendly and gave my daughter a welcome gift. View was great on Burj Khalifah. It's walking distance from dubai mall but due to near by construction it was not walkable with kids. Over all average hotel with good location
- Arun (10/5): Awesome hotel. great staff. great location. - Hotel facilities and staff were excellent. I liked the location because I wanted to stay close to Burj Khalifa. Walkable distance(10 minutes max) to Burj Khalifa and Dubai mall. It is about 20 km from Bur Dubai, where lot of shopping and restaurant options available. If that is your need, then book a hotel near Bur Dubai. Also lot of construction around the area, so it does not look that clean and attractive around the hotel, but still walkable. But we had a room that had down town Burj Khalifa view. Otherside of the hotel you will get Canal views(hence the name).

- Glen (8/5): Great location and views over the canal - This is a good hotel. The breakfast buffet was of high quality with great variety. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly this includes the cleaners, concierge, security and reception. They are a credit to the owners. The self catering facilities were extremely useful, especially the washing machine!

They were very courteous, helpful with all our needs and did their best to help us with our every need. I definitely recommend the hotel to all other visitors, it has a great secluded location yet is very close to downtown's main attractions (Dubai mall, boulevard.. etc).
- samar (8/5): Great stay - Stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment. Spacious and clean with 4 bathrooms (2 showers). 10 min drive to Dubai mall (wouldn't recommend walking due to construction and dirt paths). Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. We made use of the hotel gym and pool which are both great facilities. Shuttle to Dubai mall was very convenient. Would recommend this hotel to others.
- Eduardo (10/5): Very clean and quiet - Very nice hotel. A very good kitchenette in room. Grocery store about 100 yards away to buy groceries and prepare your own meals. A little distant from area with all the restaurants and shopping district. A good 12 minute walk to Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. A lot of construction all around hotel so I'm sure it will soon be an area with restaurants and shops.

- Mette (8/5): Family friendly hotel in Downtown Dubai - We had a very pleasant stay at DAMAC Maison Canal Views. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious with all the required amenities. The pool area was child friendly and there was also a kids play area in the reception to keep kids entertained during check in. The hotel restaurant has a good basic breakfast offering and also offers lunch and dinner. I would however recommend eating out or getting take away (which the hotel allows) as Dubai has so many more exciting food options. The immediate local area hasn't got much to offer and there is lots of building works going on. It wasn't noisy, just not that interesting and many roads are blocked. The location itself is good and you can get to the Dubai Mall in 5 minutes in a taxi. If you want to use the metro, you will probably also have to get a taxi to get you to the nearest station.

- Sam (2/5): It is a 3 star Motel, made to look like a 5 star. - I have stayed in hundreds of 5 star hotels and dozens in Dubai, but this was really a low end. I am happy it was only for two nights. My new rule: Stay away from Damac properties whenever possible.
