Jan (10/5): Unique property very quiet location. - We had a cabin which was quite spacious with separate bedroom. Everything you need to cook your own meals. Good laundry facilities. Pretty 2k walk into town, or a number of establishments will send a mini bus to collect you. Garden maintenance has been a bit sketchy. Beautiful scented plants and shrubs everywhere.

Ron & Wendy were very nice & helpful. The location is great for the Qantas Museum & the Stockmans Hall of Fame. Definitely recommend this retreat.

Udo (10/5): - Erlebnis-Übernachtung in Stockmans Hütte, mit allem Komfort der modernen Zeit. Perfekte Ergänzung zum Besuch der Stockmans Hall of Fame mit Liveshow. Überhaupt hat Longreach einiges zu bieten. Qantas Museum ist direkt gegenüber. In die Stadt zu den Restaurants gibt es einen schönen Spazierweg (2km) durch Gartenanlagen, komplett beleuchtet. Ansonsten gibt es von einigen Restaurants Schuttelservice. Übrigens kann man in der Nacht auf dem Saltbush Gelände einen wunderschönen Nachthimmel beobachten, noch besser als die astro-Tour im Uluru Nationalpark. Alles bestens

The cabins are cosy, spotless, and beautifully styled, with a real charm that reflects the surrounding outback. The whole property has a relaxed, peaceful feel, making it a lovely place to unwind. It’s also very conveniently located, just a short drive to town and close to the Qantas Museum and the Stockman’s Hall of Fame. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

Sandra (10/5): A beautiful gem in the outback! - Sensational stay at Saltbush Retreat in the ‘Stables’ Ron picked us up at the airport in their shuttle bus, what can I say Wendy & Ron the Managers were exceptional so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We were initially booked in the slab huts but were upgraded to the stables, thank you so much, so beautifully put together from the decor to lots of room and spacious bathroom, the shower was amazing with everything we needed in the kitchen and the bed and pillows were so comfortable, very impressed with how clean everything was. A soak in the outdoor baths is definitely a must so relaxing, we even had kangaroos resting under the nearby tree. We were in walking distance to the Qantas Founders Museum, where we also had a lovely breakfast each morning, the Stockmans Hall of Fame was also a short walk from the retreat. The walk into town was only 20 minutes, so definitely doable on the cooler days, otherwise the Birdcage and Longreach Tavern have a wonderful shuttle service for lunch and dinner. I highly recommend the Saltbush with Wendy & Ron and will definitely be back someday 💛

mtbt85 (10/5): An amazing place - What a great place to stay. We were in the Stables and it was decorated to the outback theme and had everything we needed. The outdoor heated bath was amazing. So close to the Qantas museum and the Stockman's Hall of Fame and a lovely 25 minute walk into town. The on site managers were so lovely and nothing was too much trouble, thanks to Ron and Wendy.

Clare (10/5): Beautiful Comfortable Stay - Lovely and spacious we stayed in the Stables, huge bathroom with walk in shower, excellent water pressure and lots of hot water and plenty of towels. Comfy king size bed, great long pillows and a wardrobe to hang your clothes also a lounge at the end of the bed with a flat screen television. Fully equipped kitchen. Beautifully clean. A short drive to the main town and the pubs provide a courtesy bus for pickup and drop off if you are eating there. The lighting is absolutely dreadful it is so dark you can barely see a thing. The microwave is down very low I had to get on the floor to see what the dials said before I could use it. Maybe provide some serviettes and a can of Bushman’s would not go astray..

The naturally cool room was a welcome break from the outside heat, and the room itself was beautifully styled with a gorgeous blend of rustic charm and luxury touches — from the kitchen right through to the bathroom. One of the highlights was soaking in the thermal bath with a glass of wine, watching the sunset and the birds coming in to roost. Absolute must-do experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

From oil, paper towel, all the utensils and even mosquito spray and sun cream. Jason (10/5): Relaxing, comfortable and recuperative - You are warmly greeted right from the start and everything is fully explained in regards to the facilities. The cabin is clean, comfortable and spacious with an excellent bed. You have your own car spot straight out front.

Jason (10/5): Great place to stay in outback QLD. - Everything was excellent. The shower was great. The bed was exceptional. Linen and towels were excellent quality.
