It was a bit far from downtown, and walking home at night felt a bit sketchy at times. I think a few of the motels on the road are being used as emergency housing.

- Mosunmola (7/5): Good stay. Could have potentially been better. - Location is great. Right along Fenton Street. Not far from Woolworths or Pak n save. Close to Ciabatta cafe. Not far from Te Puia. Part of why I chose it was the kitchen. I wanted to have a microwave. Not only did I get a microwave, there was a stove with pots and utensils. Really loved that because we were able to have our meals. The pool was well heated and basically a hot pool. Multiple entry and exit points for the motel. The bathroom needs looking into. I was not sure if it was dirt or mould on the hinges and shower head and shower tap. I really didn't like that. I don't think it was dirt. It probably needs an upgrade or something but it didn't look good. I would have preferred sockets closer to the bed.

- Maihi (8/5): Worth it - The staff were friendly and helpful, the place was easy to find, very clean, they give you clean linen or towels if needed. It is what they say it is. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you 😊 Only one issue the room got hot, and theres not much ventilation. So we put the fan on and went out. When we got back the room had cooled abit.

The 2 single bed room has the head of the beds against the wall which has the next door room's toilet right next to the wall and you can hear everything!

Our room needed a good vacuum and the drains need unblocking. The bathroom basin and shower drains need attention as they weren't draining fast enough to prevent a potential flood. Maybe just keeping a vacuum on hand in 301 and 302.
