Que el restaurante no esté abierto para la cena, es necesario...también en la publicidad y servicios que se ofrecen es el uso de Kayak sin costo adicional y al llegar estaban fuera de servicio.
- Agustin (10/5): Buena opvion para recorrer el lago Atitlan con sus pueblos. - Ubicación muy tranquila. Me gustó el Hotel vecino, Atitlán donde fuimos a almorzar y recorrer sus tremendos jardines. Fuimos en lancha privada a recorrer los pueblos del lago y nos dejaron en el hotel, din necesidad de ir a Panajachel.
- Josefita (9/5): - The hotel is located on a little bay in Lake Atitlan, beautiful for kayaking. A true plus is that you can reserve kayaks for free at the hotel, and then enjoy the swimming pool and view. The staff was super friendly and helpful.

Könnte alles etwas überholt werden Keine Stühle auf der Terrasse vor dem Zimmer Vieles gab es nur auf Nachfrage Allgemein ist der Preis viel zu hoch für die Leistungen, die man bekommt.

- craigv384 (10/5): A beautiful tour within the Central American country of Guatemala. - I returned yesterday from a wonderful tour to the Central American country of Guatemala. I traveled with my brother and his wife. Our tour was arranged by Caravan.com. I highly recommend the both the tour and Caravan, an amazing value. Guatemala is a beautiful country filled with mountains and valleys. Guatemala also has a rich culture and Maya and Spanish history. Its people are pleasant and helpful. It is a safe place to visit in my opinion. I saw nothing to the contrary. Interestingly, the country has a twelve month crop growing season. Gorgeous flowers bloom almost everywhere. I felt most comfortable in the cool (not cold) mountain air that I understand is typical year round. (I am really going to miss the cool mountain air over the summer months. My home is located in deep south Texas!) Our tour guide-director, Virginia, was excellent! She is most knowledgeable about the country and its rich history. She was always pleasant and forthcoming. Virginia's English and Spanish is excellent. She also speaks French. How about that? ( I understand that Virginia has guided tours in Guatemala for 25-30 years. I believe such to be absolutely true.) Virginia greatly added to my knowledge and my enjoyment of the tour. Travel Guatemala with Caravan. You will not be disappointed. Especially if Virginia is your tour guide-director. Blessings- Craig

- Juliana (10/5): Great place to recharge batteries. - Beautiful and magical place, I was very pleased to hear that the owners are committed to the environment and are working on improving their water management. Also big thanks to the extremely nice and helpful staff. As recommendation all the hotels could gather and build a walking path to the town as it is close by but it is a dangerous walk.

O café da manhã é bem servido, porém começa apenas às 8h am, o que pode ser inconveniente para hóspedes que têm passeios ou atividades programadas e precisam sair mais cedo. The hotel’s location is fantastic. It is a very peaceful place with a beautiful leisure area and a lovely garden. The breakfast is well served; however, it only starts at 8:00 a.m., which can be inconvenient for guests who have early tours or activities scheduled and need to leave before that time. A equipe foi bastante atenciosa e cordial durante toda a estadia. No entanto, o hotel demonstrou uma burocracia desnecessária ao exigir que o hóspede confirmasse por escrito o número do cartão de crédito, mesmo após a transação ter sido imediatamente confirmada pela Mastercard. A justificativa apresentada foi que o cartão utilizado no pagamento era diferente do cartão digital usado para realizar a reserva no Booking. Esse tipo de procedimento nunca me foi solicitado em nenhuma outra reserva realizada pela plataforma em diferentes lugares do mundo. The staff was very attentive and friendly throughout the stay. However, the hotel showed unnecessary bureaucracy by requiring the guest to confirm the credit card number in writing, even though the transaction had already been immediately confirmed by Mastercard. The explanation given was that the payment card used was different from the digital card used to make the reservation on Booking. This type of procedure has never been required in any other reservation I have made through Booking in different parts of the world.

Upea puutarha esteettömällä järvinäköalalla. Siisti uima-allas. Myös uintimahdollisuus järvessä. Huoneen kalusteet aika kulahtaneet. Ei jääkaappia, ilmastointia tai tallelokeroa.

Me gustó que tuviera incluído el servicio de kayak para hacer algo distinto. Las opciones de desayuno eran pocas, pero sustanciosas y muy rico. El hotel está un poco alejado del centro de Panajachel, por ende para cualquier cosa se debe de tomar un servicio de trasnporte o en definitiva alquilar un vehículo, pero tampo fue problema eso sí, se debe de tener presupuestado cada viaje que se desea. Las camas un poco duras para lo que estamos acostumbrados y algo que realmente nos complicó un poco fue la cantidad de tomacorrientes en la habitación, teníamos solo 2 y se debía desconectar el repetidor de internet para poder cargar los dispositivos electrónicos.

En mi cuarto no tenía señal ni WiFi y como estaba hacías atrás me sentía muy aislada. Para un hotel con este pecio siento que por lo menos el WiFi debe funcionar si no hay cobertura de señal. Por la localizacion siento que es un lugar que es más para estar por ahí todo el día y no para descubrir la ciudad

The wifi only worked in the reception/dining area. Room was noisy could here the next door guest using the bathroom. For the price I expected a bit more. The staff was wonderful. If they just put a memory foam topper on the mattress it would be decent.

- P4458LCdianab (6/5): BEAUTIFUL hotel! - BEAUTIFUL hotel (some of the lighting in the review photos can make it look dated, that's absolutely not the case). Gardens were gorgeous and our room was so comfortable with the most amazing view. Pool and hot tub were awesome. We enjoyed our time lounging by the pool. Giving this hotel an average review because the service was kind of weird. There was a language barrier with all of the staff (which is to be expected) but their willingness to help navigate the language barrier could be improved. I had bad stomach problems one of the days of our stay and my husband tried to order plain food (bread, crackers, whatever) from the hotel and there was nobody on staff who could assist. When we checked in I don't think we were given all the pertinent information (massages booked up, paddle boarding only before noon, adding a card to our account so we could charge to the room) and it impacted our stay. That being said - we would come back again! We had a very nice time! Writing this post only to level set expectations service wise.

I spent about an hour that afternoon trying to get Winfield in my room but was unable to do so. I went to the front desk for help and was told “ here is your WIFi” Back in the room it wouldn’t work again. So back to the front desk where I was finally told that the WiFi only works in the lobby .i think I should have been told this at checkin. After my first lunch I signed it to my room as I always do when dining at the hotel. Within five minutes there was a knock on my door saying that the front desk needed my credit card number. They should have asked for this at checkin. Also service in the restaurant is very slow At dinner last night I waited 25 minutes before anyone came to take my order. The menus are grubby and the drinks folder needed rebinding
- GSTToronto (8/5): Beautiful setting but shockingly expensive for Guatemala - Beautiful grounds and stylish hotel. The regular rooms are a bit on the small side for a luxury hotel. This was by far the most expensive place we stayed at in Guatemala, at least double the price of other nice hotels we stayed at. Annoyances: - very poor and unreliable wifi in the room. -having to pay each and every time we ordered something rather than at the end of our stay. - All other hotels we stayed at had breakfast included, but not here and it was expensive, typically more than dinner at a restaurant in town. Weekends are buffet only (no other option) and the Sunday buffet is elaborate but was 500 QTZ for 2 (about $100 CDN). - pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. Lake Atitlan is beautiful and we might come back but would look for a more reasonably priced hotel.

- KmLisbon (10/5): Highly Recommend for Wedding! Amazing Food! - We hosted an 80 person wedding at Hotel Atitlan and everything was spectacular! The guests enjoyed beautiful views of the lake and gardens, explored neighboring towns by boat, and raved about the hotel brunch and dinners. It is very hard to simultaneously plate 80 dishes of shrimp, steak, and veggies but they executed masterfully. The welcome party had tricolored tortillas, cheese, beans, two kinds of chorizo, and fresh guacamole and salsa. Between these amazing bites and the exceptional service and friendly staff everyone left impressed!
- Milan (9/5): - The property is very nicely kept. Has lovely trees and different kinds of birds. The view of the volcanoes is also wonderful. The road to the main town is not paved so traveling for even 10 mins is cumbersome. Their restaurant does not serve dinner and breakfast is served only from 8:00 am onwards. There was no in-room facility to make tea or coffee so my husband had to walk to the nearby hotel to get his coffee.

The food, the ambience , the attention to detail , the weather . The list is too long to mention. Our wedding was 80 guests with 76 traveling from abroad for the wedding. We everyone had a blast and left with a fantastic experience. Special shout to CHEF!!! Guillermo ensured the experience on the day of and the attention to detail was awesome !

Removing the old TV would also enhance the overall feel of the room. While I understand concerns about jacuzzi usage, the added cost seems high for the area, especially since it was previously included.

Las habitaciones son muy lindas y puedes ver el amanecer y el atardecer. El servicio de Armando encargado del hotel fue maravilloso, estuvo muy atento a todas nuestras necesidades. Nos ayudó a coordinar muchas actividades en nuestra estancia lo que permitió que disfrutáramos más. Me gustó todo. Sin embargo considero que podrían tener café en la mañana antes del desayuno disponible para los huéspedes, dado que algunos salimos a ver el lago y el frío era bastante. Eso lo haría perfecto.

It was difficult at times to get a Tuk Tuk to go to Panajachel. It’s too far to walk. No bottled water tho they say the tap water is fine to drink. No blow dryer. They do not serve dinner so you have to go off property using a Tuk Tuk or bring food back with you

I booked my reservation off-the-cuff the prior day. I loved it. I birded the entire day. I returned the following day, using the day pass, to bird. It is beautiful. The architecture is stunning. Frank Lloyd Wright with a twist. This area is over the hill. You are not in town. So, for dinner you need to make an effort. I was solo, so easier for me. I used Migoya's three times. The chef is good and the owner and his family and staff are very kind. To note, it's good to be over the hill.

- Buben (8/5): Beautiful place, but some negatives - My husband and I stayed here over the 2025 Christmas holiday. On the plus side, the property and gardens are beautiful. The place has a historic vibe — there is a lot of art that seems to be salvaged from churches, convents, old properties. The gardens are really spectacular — with many species and a lovely design. (That said, I’m not sure I would pay just to tour the gardens). You can also swim in the lake at the small beach. The pool and hot tub area is also nice. The staff is pleasant and friendly. On the minus side, the breakfast buffet is pricey ($20 per person), and there is no option for ordering something small. The WiFi in the rooms is non-existent. There is no coffee machine or mini-fridge in the rooms. Coffee is served in the restaurant from 6-7 (breakfast buffet opens at 7), but there is no milk. The gardening service was intolerably loud for a full day — with a dozen people armed with leaf blowers and cutters operating at full blast from 9 am till dark (I am not kidding). The restaurant food is pricey and very average. Drink service for whatever reason is very very slow — maybe there is no bartender? But we often were served our drinks at the END of our meal. Our room had a lovely lake view, but was also pretty close to the pool area, where we heard kids screaming Marco! Polo! for hours. Despite the negatives, we did enjoy our stay here — I have not investigated other hotels in the area, but from our visits to San Pedro, San Juan, and Panajachel, I think it is probably one of the best options in the area. Just wish that the management could address a few of the easy fixes (milk in the morning, getting some WiFi routers for the rooms, figuring out the bar situation), getting gardening done in a shorter period of time or with less noisy devices, which would have done a lot to improve our stay.

Beautiful gardens, a swimming pool and just by the lake!, great location. Right beside there is a conservation area, very beautiful. Personnel are very nice. Breakfast is included, however, there is no lunch or dinner. Bigger rooms have their own kitchen. There is another hotel very close by and they offer great food. There was no sitting common area in case you would like to spend time outside your room. We used the breakfast area to play cards when it was raining. There are several sitting areas outside in the garden (cannot be used when it rains)
- A7574GZlynnek (10/5): 10/10 at Hotel Atitlan - I traveled over Christmas break with my three teenage kids and had a wonderful experience. We loved the natural surroundings and beautifully maintained gardens, and waking up each morning to breathtaking volcano views from our balcony truly felt like a dream. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, assisting us with booking several tours. We shared exactly what we wanted to see and how long we hoped to be out, and they seamlessly made it happen. They also offered great suggestions for additional activities, restaurants and sights we might enjoy. While we were there we each got a 2 hour massage. 10/10. We appreciated the convenience of parking our rental car at the hotel and using tuk-tuks to get into town for some of our meals, which made getting around easy and fun.

- susiandres (8/5): nice colonial style hotel with beautiful garden and view over the lake - We spent 2 nights at the hotel, beautiful colonial style property with a big garden with many flowers and plants, going down to the lake, the terrace and pool offer a really impressive view over the volcanoes and the lake,Dont miss watching the sunrise from there. The restaurant is very colorfully and tipical decorated, the breakfast buffet is nice, in the afternoon we enjoyed micheladas on the terrace, the nachos with guacamole very yummy. Try to avoid the busiest dinner time after 7pm because it means having to wait quite some time for your order. Our room was of a normal size with garden view. The lobby was beautifully decorated for the christmas season already. To be more enviormental friendly it would be great to have shampoo, conditioner and body lotion dispensers in the bathroom instead of mini plastic bottles. They have several guacamaya parrots flying freely in the garden, also a huge aviary in the restaurant with many many love birds, normally I am not a fan of caged birds, but the aviary is big and offering space to fly and sleep, they look well looked after. The room rate is a bit pricey considering that the breakfast was not included in the rate.

Es liegt etwas außerhalb von Panajachel, aber mit dem TukTuk ist man für wenig Geld gleich in der Stadt. Es wirkt sehr rustikal und man meint fast man wäre in einem lost place. Aber wunderschön gelegen. Frühstück wird frisch zubereitet. Die Möbel im Zimmer haben etwas gemüffelt.

On arrival at the hotel, at check in time, the receptionist stated that the hotel had our booking but not our payment. We showed proof of payment and it was not accepted. We had to give a credit card again to guarantee payment. We contacted our provider for proof and forwarded it to the hotel. No acknowledgment from the hotel for the duration of our stay. The queue at reception was very busy and we were left humiliated and embarrassed at this experience. We have stayed in 3 different central American countries in the past ten days and booked our hotel stays at short notice. This was the only hotel where we had an issue.. The hotel itself is a beautiful oasis, but our experience was certainly tainted by the manner in which we were treated.

Simple but adequate breakfast and wonderful grounds where you can occasionally see coatis. Lovely and quiet unlike Pana itself. Near the nature reserve which was itself disappointing. No dinner on site. You have to go down the road.

A piece of jewelry of great sentimental value went missing on October 26th, and despite the search, it still hasn't been found.

There is so much to explore around the hotel and in the nearby town, which has many interesting shops and great food. The beds are comfortable and clean, and the hotel staff are very attentive and friendly. The food was amazing, and they offer many enjoyable activities, such as kayaking and boat trips. Overall, our stay here was a 10/10 experience!

El que molesten tanto con la documentación previa a llegar al hotel, nunca en ninguna reserva me habían solicitado que mi nombre cuadrara con la tarjeta de pago. Normalmente como funcionamos con mi pareja es que yo reservo en mi booking y utilizamos su tarjeta para los cobros. Esto si fue muy frustrante. Y el que tampoco tengan opción de pagar al llegar al lugar. La habitación olía un poco a humedad, sería bueno colocar un deshumificador en las habitaciones previo a llegar al lugar.

- Carol (6/5): - There are a lot of things that are right about this property, and quite a few that I found disappointing. This is a very expensive hotel, and my premier room did not have air conditioning. When I was shown my room, the young man offered to open the door to my balcony so my room would not be hot. There is no screen door, and when I said I didn't want insects coming in my room, I was simply offered a second floor fan. I had no idea that all the taxis in Panajachel are tuk-tuks. This would be fine except for the fact that the hotel is VERY far from town, and the road outside the hotel is truly horrible. It's not only unpaved, it's got massive ditches and my one tuk tuk ride was *extremely* uncomfortable. As a result, the only way I could get away from the property was by renting a boat. That's very expensive too, but if you don’t do that, you kind of feel like the hotel is a beautiful prison. Speaking of which, without the ability to get into town, I wound up eating most of my meals over the 3 days onsite in the restaurant. Breakfast was fine, and the staff is reasonably friendly. However, both dinners I ate there were disappointing. I tried different cuts of steak, and each night the steak on my plate seemed like it had been partially steamed? The chef doesn't know how to put a proper crust on a steak, so the texture of the meat was unpleasant. Beyond that, on my second night, it rained very hard and the ceiling started leaking. I put down a towel.
