- sebastian horacio (3/5): Una experiencia de terror. - La ubicación Había muchísimo olor a humedad y cloro, no se podía respirar a tal punto que pensamos en irnos, pero no había disponibilidad en otros hospedajes y ya era tarde. El aire acondicionado hacía un ruido muy fuerte. Las instalaciones en general, están sin mantenimiento. No volvería a parar nunca más.

- Belinda (4/5): We left afraid of bed bugs the bed was god awe full in appearance - Location The room did not have a balcony or a kitchenette like advertised. We got there at 3:45 check in was at 3:00. The room wasn’t ready and I didn’t see him take out or bring in clean sheets. The our door furniture was all stained and the inside of our room was old looked like mold on lamp shade. Couldn’t use the chair it was stained. They spayed the room with bleach when the cleaned. We took a walk and decided to pack up and leave we didn’t stay. Drove 3 hrs back to our Orlando hotel.

- Krupa (1/5): Near the beach but not happy with unclean room and an attitude when asked for basic cleanliness!! - The location is what I liked about the property. The bed sheets had hair of different sizes stuck to it, bathroom sink was broken, bathroom tub had hair stuck and brown stains, the towel in bathroom was arranged nicely but also had stain. I spoke with the owner who listened patiently and had someone come over and change sheets and give more clean towels. The person came and while changing sheets said you didn’t pick a 5 star place!! I paid over $150 for one king size bed and I can at least expected CLEAN sheets, towels, and tub!

- Key (7/5): - The location is the best part in here. Just 3 min walk, you'll be already at the boardwalk. Plus the convenience of checking in. It may sound weird or not safe but I checked in without my identity being verified. I might be the wrong person but who cares.lol I got the pass code over text and just went in. I just stayed overnight tho. The towels seemed dirty, smells not washed, the towel holder in the bathroom was broken, there was tv but its remote wasn't working. So it was not fun.

- JAMES (2/5): Bugs - Hotel staff sent a pre-arribal text that needed a decipher ring to understand. And then the staff didn't respond to my text about parking. Disappointed upon arrival as the website lead me to believe it is right on the beach, when it is actually several buildings separated. The toilet wouldn't flush. While i was getting ready, my son laid on the bed for about 10 minutes, and when we left found 3 bug bites on his legs. We were going to a 7:30p game at hard rock stadium, so couldn't really deal with it immediately, but when we got back from the game at midnight, we just got our stuff out of the room and got a room at the Marriott

This was a last min booking, so I booked it b/c of the cheap price and b/c it was close to the cruise ports, but with proper planning you can certainly find much better than this hotel at a decent price in the area!

So MUCH better of a choice for me than an airport hotel, which is what I initially intended until I spotted this hotel. Glad I switched. That said, I've read some reviews and if you're the type who needs the sanitized offerings of upscale hotels, this place is definitely not for you as it is an older facility.

Tried to call the front desk but never could reach anyone and no one called me back. NEVER saw staff entire time. Couldn't sleep with light on. Sheets on bed had strains of hair. Filthy.

- Swarup Bashu (8/5): - Parking costs an additional $ 20 per day. The hotel staff is available from 11 AM to 4 PM, but you can check in at any time. They will leave the key inside the room, and you just need to open the door to check in. Compared to price, it was a good experience.

Beds are horrible, a safe area though. The outside area was nice place to sit for winddown. If you’re not expecting much this is your hotel!

- Hao (8/5): Quiet little spot. - It's about 17 miles from Fox car rental. Very quiet area mostly industrial. I slept pretty good. Booking.com didn't send the reservation in time. So had to pay almost the full price. Couple was helpful. Isolated spot but it's quietness was what I needed.

- Emily (8/5): Great for one night, excellent location - I have seen terrible reviews for this place and I was a bit apprehensive but we are pretty low maintenance, we don't need much for one night before a cruise but at the same time, won't stay at Motel 6 or Super 8 despite our budget. Calvin was incredible, we got in early and he was still cleaning rooms but let us change in our room he was still cleaning and left our luggage locked up. This is a SMALL hotel, they do things a little different. We did not have bugs in our room, yes the lampshades were cracked, the water pressure was pretty weak in room 13 and no matter what I did the water temp kept changing and yes, the shower curtain liner had mildew stains. Other than that the bathroom and rest of the room was clean and actually that bed was more comfortable than the cruise ship bed. Ocean Inn staff, please get new shower curtain liners, easy cheap fix! We would stay again for a night before a cruise. Small hotel, they do have a few rooms on the 2nd floor so if you have a lot of luggage, you may want to specifically ask for a room on the first floor. Literally 2 blocks from Hollywood Beach and the Broadwalk, great location. The air conditioner was kind of loud, which was great for us since we sleep with a white noise machine anyway but some people might not like that. We stayed on a Saturday night so not much construction happening across the street when we were there but I imagine it is a noisy location during the week with the new place they are building.

- Flyer37649373862 (4/5): Inaccurate representation of existing property! - Paint is flaking off the walls. Sheets had cigarette burn holes in them. Bathtub rusty and corroded. Wires hanging from wall lamp and not working. Room had musty odor. NOT RECOMMENDED The advertised photos are of days LONG AGO and definitely not an accurate representation of the existing facility.

When I got there the reservation was never done and my original room was given to someone else. They booked me into another hotel nearby but I lost several hours trying to get everything straightened out and there were so many issues!

- Steven (8/5): Nice little spot for an overnight. - This was just an overnight stay due to layover at FLL. I will admit I chose based on price, but was also happy to be so close to the boardwalk and beach. It is not a luxury spot but it was comfortable. I would not call it convenient for anything but the boardwalk and even then it is on the North end so a bit of a walk to get to restaurants/stores. Nothing to worry about really but if you prioritize being able to pop over and get a coffee within a 5 minute walk you will be disappointed kind of thing.

When we arrived, our room was open and the keys were left inside the room, which we didn’t feel comfortable with and no one was in the office to assist us. We decided to leave and book another hotel because of these things.
- Elaine (8/5): Too Short Beach Visit - We were in town for just one day and wanted easy access to the beach boardwalk. We enjoyed the garden and just quiet relaxation time. Appreciated having a mini kitchen and coffee maker for easy coffee for our morning walk by the ocean. Staff was very friendly and accommodating as we needed to have our bags held after check out due to a later flight out.

- Stephen (6/5): Absentee on site personnel - Arrived early before noon at 8:30 a.m. returning from cruise . No on site desk personnel. Had to call posted phone number and got answering machine. An hour later maintenance person let us put our luggage in office. Finally at noon the cleaning person showed and allowed us to put luggage in room while the room was prepped for 3 pm check in. Room was suitable for one overnight stay. We discovered the coffee filter screen was dirty and could not be cleaned but no one on premises to deal with it. Be aware of remote management with no on site personnel to communicate with. Typical 1960’s era motel with window unit. Wear sandals while in room. The bed however was comfortable. Quaint sitting area outside. 2-3 stars.
- sewart01 (2/5): Book elsewhere, this is a safety issue - We were concerned when we saw the recent reviews. Our first impression was the front desk was kind, the hotel definitely needs updating the photos are likely 30 years old, the room smelled clean and mostly was, we did find a bug and the floor could have been cleaner. My issue is security and safety. The doors have a keypad deadbolt with a key lock below. We went for a walk, ensuring both deadbolt and key lock were locked, we returned to find our deadbolt unlocked. Then about 6 pm my husband stepped outside to make a call and some man came barging into our room stating it was his room. I screamed for my husband to come help sort this out. There was a “worker” yes, the one who gave the man the code to our room on the second floor sitting outside. Come to find out the man’s reservation was the 25th, not the 21st, yet he didn’t check and gave him the code to our room. The room codes are so basic any guest could easily figure out the code to all rooms. The lamps and fridge are rusty.

- I5625QRjiml (2/5): Roach hotel - The day before embarking on our cruise I was up half the night chasing and killing cockroaches and when I woke up there was a lizard in the bathtub. It’s a very old motel with rusty pipes and rusty water. my wife was so scared to return after the cruise she insisted on booking at another hotel and Expedia would not help me cancel even though I paid for cancellation insurance

This facility is very old and has rusty water to make your coffee with. We had booked this for before and after our cruise, but my wife was so scared to return we rebooked at another location And have yet to hear from oceans inn after calling several times and attempting to cancel through Expedia our ship didn’t make a port until 7 AM and Expedia says I needed to cancel before 7am for any refund so I am out $210 USD

- Wendy (2/5): Unimaginable experience. Please read our review - We have never ever had an experience like we had at the Ocean Inn and we travel a lot! The nightmare began when we arrived and they put us in a room that was filthy with dead bugs everywhere and drawers that had no bottoms. We said we can’t stay here so they moved us to their “best” room: more dead bugs, wet sticky dripping insect repellent running down the only dresser and which none of the drawers opened properly and more insect repellent inside drawers, no kitchen utensils for our month long stay, no hand towels or dish towels, no dish soap, only one burner worked on the very decrepit stove, a coffee maker full of black mold. The person (an employee) next to us smoked all day and night and our room filled with their cigarette smoke even though we asked numerous times for them to stop (it was a non smoking property). When we opened the windows two screens blew out onto the street below. When we opened the blinds the whole header and blinds crashed to the floor. The shower curtain liner had orange slime on it . One day there was a puddle of water flowing from the bottom of the fridge. We called the desk, left messages, sent emails, left messages in the app, talked to the maintenance man who sat under a canopy all day smoking and begged for help. No one responded. They were completely absent. Homeless folks rent the rooms on a regular basis and according to the cleaning staff the rooms get trashed. I would never stay here or advise anyone to stay here not even for one night.

- Lev (6/5): Acceptable - Just one overnight before flight. Room highly needs renovation. Construction site across - lot of noise until 10pm. Noise starts about 7am again!
- Emilie (6/5): - The housekeeper is the VIP—he is the one settling guests into their rooms and answering questions, until at some point the office is open. The inn is located near the broadwalk and coffee/breakfast is nearby. While receiving instructions via email as to which room you have been assigned and the code to get in is all very “efficient” — most guests seem to arrive well before 4 pm and then have no place to leave luggage so at least they can explore while awaiting 4 pm. All staff was very cordial, and the VIP especially kind. Some rooms are lived in and an apparent disregard that there are weary travelers trying to sleep as you hear ranting into the early morning hours. Would I stay here again? They don’t seem to care if I do.
- Karen (2/5): - It might as well be abandoned because no one is ever there and they don’t answer the phone numbers given. The sheets smelled - Our room was locked when they said it would be open—One of the other renters crawled through a back window and got us in late at night which wasn’t safe either! This place should be closed down— Nobody cares!
