Guest Reviews
- Robert (10/5): - Everything was fabulous. Views, amenities, and location.
- William (10/5): -
- Antoaneta (10/5): Cosy, comfortable, amazing views, warm hospitality - It is indeed a 'snug inn' in a snug harbor, located spectacularly above a small bay, with sauna and places to sit overlooking the Pasific. It is embedded in the trees and one feels really part of the scenery around. The building is both charming and functional, every room with its own view and deck. The hosts gave us an upgrade to an ocean view room which was as lovely as they come. Bathroom, the gas fire - everything contributes to the cosiness of our room. The hosts were very hospitable and informative. We really enjoyed the fantastic breakfast. All in all, one of the best places we have ever stayed in. Nothing.
- Santana (6/5): Overall we didn’t have a positive experience here and that’s okay. I’m happy that many others have had a great time here - I enjoyed the rustic appeal and the location. The staff were very kind. I was very happy to receive a refund for the night we chose not to return, this goes a long way in customer care and I thought the owner did their best in resolving our concerns. The breakfast was nice to have to go as we had an early tour to make. I didn’t enjoy the sauna as it was cold, wet, and had bugs. The hot tub did not have privacy as it faces many of the rooms windows as well as the main foyer and staff rooms, the airbnb-feel was not what we expected, we had the smoke alarm going off during a shower which was a first for us, the lighting from outside easily entered the room which made it difficult to sleep, we had a broken window handle and we opened it but couldn’t close it, there was a lot of noise in the room at night, we had a very unfortunate experience sleeping here. The price in my opinion is not fair compared other accommodations.
- Cansu (10/5): - Everything

- Dianna (9/5): we would love to stay again - Breakfasts were amazing. Location and views were superb. Had some trouble with the tv - couldn't find the networks we usually watch
- Stephanie (10/5): Beautiful house, great facilities, welcoming hosts and delicious breakfast. - Everything. Great location right on the beach, easy walk into town for restaurants. Small hikes nearby. Sauna and hot tub great. Breakfast was delicious, particularly the Brie, pear and bacon pancakes. WOW!!! Can’t wait to come back Nothing.
- Stefan (8/5): bassd scho - eine wirklich einzigartige Lokation!!! das Haus ist hellhörig. die Auswahl an Speisen (Frühstück) begrenzt. Die Einweisung hätte umfangreicher sein können.
- Roger (10/5): Absolutely superb lovely accommodation and great setting . - Superb all round. Lovely position overlooking the ocean and room & bathroom were beautiful , comfortable & well - equipped. Great communal sauna cabin with window looking over water & hot tub. Owners were lovely and fresh - cooked breakfasts delicious. Nothing at all.
- Nathaniel E (10/5): Wonderful stay, highly recommend for couples! - Such an amazing bed and breakfast. Spectacular views, delicious breakfast, and a wonderful hot tub and sauna.
- Aaron (10/5): Incredible experience - Absolutely magical ambience, easy to find yet out of the way, staff were genuinely some of the nicest people I’ve ever met.

- Rebecca (10/5): Beautifully situated luxury B&B - Beautifully situated just above a private bay, warm welcome, quiet, great breakfast. Magnificent surroundings and interesting conversations with the host. There's everything you need, with wonderful personal touches and quality furnishings. Very comfortable beds. Just all-around the best kind of B&B experience.
- Markus (9/5): -
- Rossanna (10/5): Perfect retreat in B.C. - The surroundings are beautiful, actually breathtaking. The decor was outstandingly welcoming and calming. The entire esthetic of the place couldn't be more comfortable.
Breakfast was delivered to our room in a large wooden bento box, prepared beautifully by the hosts.
There are paddle boards available for use at the private beach area, as well as equipment to build a fire and enjoy s'mores.
The hosts were welcoming.
- Karen (10/5): Fabulous stay, a credit to our innkeepers. - Sophisticated inn offering thoughtful and great quality breakfast and accommodation. Magnificent location and natural setting. Nothing.
- Birgit (9/5): - Wir haben uns in dem Haus sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück wurde aufs Zimmer gebracht. Die Aussicht war unglaublich schön.
- Neil C (9/5): Beautiful stay in a beautiful place. - The hosts, room and views were amazing. Sauna didn’t seem to work for me.
- Huw (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful BnB. The best we’ve ever stayed at. We had fantastic treatment from our hosts.
Utterly memorable.
- Bethany (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jan (10/5): Perfect! -
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Courtenay (10/5): Blissful view. - The most incredible view from our bedroom. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the view to leave our room. We had a wonderful breakfast served each morning directly to the room so we could sit and enjoy that view. And the innkeeper was so nice also providing us with valuable information about the area. I would have preferred firmer pillows in the bedroom
- Elaine (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location and property. Each room equipped with everything you’d need. Sauna post hike was most memorable . Breakfasts were outstanding!
The host could not have been nicer or more helpful. Will definitely return . Jori made us feel right at home Nothing
- Gracie (9/5): Superb -
- Prashant (10/5): Amazing again. - Staff. Breakfast. But best was being on the beach hust down the stairs. Everything was amazing
- Rene (10/5): Exceptional - We loved everything! The room, the property, the hosts, the breakfast were all fantastic!
- Bijal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (10/5): Amazing hosts, beautiful and cozy place, delicious breakfasts every morning- exceeded our expectations! - Beautiful property overlooking the cove with stairs to go down to a cute little beach area for exploring around. Cozy and creative touches- such kind hosts! Not really anything we didn’t like but might suggest a way to cover the skylights would be helpful for those trying to sleep in a bit
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yuri (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rooshin (9/5): Superb -
- Ekgiles (10/5): Fantasitx - A beautiful property with stunning views and lovely quality furnishings and decor Our only one downside was that we didn't find the bed and the pillows to be the comfiest unfortunately
- Jarmila (10/5): We absolutely loved our stay. Beautiful surroundings, delicious breakfasts, lovely tea and coffee. Friendly hosts. Would - Beautiful spot, comfortable, delicious breakfast, friendly hosts. Noisy fridge
- Jose (10/5): Clifftop views, indulgent suites, and impeccable hosts make Snug Harbour Inn a five-star gem. - Exceptional stay. The cliff-top setting offers sweeping ocean views, and each suite feels both luxurious and private. Thoughtful touches—fireplaces, spa-like bathrooms, and gourmet breakfasts—show real pride of ownership. Warm, attentive hosts elevate the experience from great to unforgettable. Five stars without hesitation; already planning my return. Nothing
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location that is quiet and private. The hosts are lovely and the breakfasts were delicious. All comforts were provided for which made our stay relaxing and tranquil.
- Kay (10/5): A truly relaxing stay at an amazingly beautiful place. - The location was stunning. I loved the sauna and the host and the just everything Nothing
- Max (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sia (9/5): This place is beautiful. We will definitely return for another stay. - The location of this property is wonderful and you could not ask for a more stunning view. We stayed in the Hemlock Suite for 3 nights. It was comfortable and clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. Next time we will try the Cedar Room as it looks bigger with a sofa/living room area. The host, Michiko, is lovely and makes a delicious breakfast you can enjoy in your suite or at the common room dining table. We enjoyed the common sitting areas outside as well as off our own private balcony. If the weather would have been better we would have loved to have a fire down on the beach, but it rained for most of our stay. We were given a huge gift seeing two bald eagles in the tree as we sat on the common area deck. Amazing! In the Hemlock suite the fireplace is between the bathroom and the bedroom and you can see through it. If you prefer more privacy when you are in the bathroom I would choose a different suite. It is lovely though to have the fireplace on when showering or bathing.
- Anne (9/5): Superb -
- Bradbury (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent service, breakfast was delicious. Wonderful stay.
- Meike (9/5): Superb -
- 690sf (10/5): Snug Harbour Inn: Perfect In All Ways - Snug Harbour Inn (SHI) is a special place. So much is perfect about it. The co-owners, Marc & Jessica, are the consummate hosts; the location of the inn is magnificent, perched as it is on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean, while nestled in old growth forests, & within easy walking distance to wondrous nature trails, as well as local beaches.
Indeed Snug Harbour Inn has its very own private beach with a magical stairway down to it.
Guests have access to this facility & most are eager to take advantage of this privilege, many lighting a fire, watching the sun set or rise, sitting on logs washed up on the beach, most certainly sipping or nibbling, while doing so.
It is also easy walking distance from the ocean village & the pubs & restaurants of which there are a good few serving good food.
As well this ocean village of Ucluelet has its own brewery, which crafts delicous brews.
SHI has six well appointed suites, four of them in the main building, & two in separate units in the forest.
Guests get a full breakfast, which is varied & delicious, & which can be eaten in one’s room or at a communal dinning table.
There is a sauna & hot tube out looking over the ocean.
It is adult only, so as to offer a place of peaceful & romantic respite.
It has bicycles one can use free of charge, as well as paddle boats.
It also has a great set of powerful binoculars to view the wild life that populates the sky & the ocean.
Yes, indeed a very special place is Snug Harbour Inn.
I recommend it without hesitation.

- Eleanor (8/5): Excellent hosts, peaceful place to stay, would return! - Cedar room was lovely, much nicer than I expected from the photos. DIY laundry was perfect, no hassle at all. Near a fun undulating running/walking rainforest trail. Heated floor in the bathroom and easy to adjust the room temp. Comfy bed. Robes. Breakfasts were great, homemade and healthy but I would have appreciated some choice.
- Rachael (10/5): Exceptional - I cannot sing this properties praises enough. Everything was fantastic about it - the hosts, the view, the location, the hot tub, the private cove / bay, the facilities, breakfasts...
The hosts were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious each day. Beds were super comfortable and the room was spacious with a great jacuzzi bath. Evenings spent in the hot tub and sat in the cove looking at the beautiful view are something I will forever remember.
The property is also in a great location. It's quiet but with Ucluelet 'centre' a short walk away. There are lots of trails and other activities in the area and Tofino is a short drive. That I had to leave :-(
- David (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful location, great facilities and hosts.
- V3813RTdavidm (10/5): Four night memorable stay - We had high hopes for our 4 night stay and these were fulfilled and some. Everything about the Inn is top class, and we felt very much at home due to the warmth and kindness of the hosts. We would always choose to return if we visited Ucluelet again.
The facilities are excellent and the breakfasts are delightful and varied.
- Francesco (10/5): Exceptional -

- Tara (8/5): A wonderful quiet place in a great location. -
- Caleb (10/5): We loved everything, perfect little cocoon in a beautiful place - great breakfast, sauna, amazing views, well-designed, good size, big and comfy bed, super nice team. and we even saw a bear cub from our balcony!
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nina (10/5): Exceptional - Hands down the nicest place I ever stayed at. The setting and view are wonderful, the staff super friendly, and the breakfast was amazing. We also really enjoyed taking the bikes and SUPs for a stroll.
- Judith (8/5): Very enjoyable - Our hosts were delighted and the location is excellent. I am not so keen on skylight windows in the roof which our room has but I think only a couple of rooms have these.
- 321clemensl (10/5): Great view, lovely hosts - What a beautiful stay - magnificent views, very charming hosts, great property with incredible sauna (what a view!) Downtown a 15’ walk or take the free of charge bikes. Delicious breakfast and a convenient guest laundry. Thanks for 3 lovely days/nights!
- Jennifer (10/5): Fantastic stay at a stunning property. - Everything! It was a fantastic stay. Stunning location close to Ucluelet. We took advantage of all of the included amenities, bicycles, hot tub, sauna, paddleboards and amazing breakfasts cooked by the hosts. The beds were super comfortable and our room (Cedar) had a living room as well as a nice balcony where we enjoyed happy hours. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone staying in the area. The Lighthouse loop was a beautiful walk. The Break and Floathouse were great places to eat and Ucluelet Brewing was fun. Nothing, it was great!
- Huyton (10/5): Extremely relaxing - Owes an serenity
- Robert (10/5): Idyllic getaway with amazing views and facilities - Beautiful oasis on the coast of Vancouver Island - loved the hot tub and free use of paddle boards and amazing room with stunning views and great breakfast. Great attention to detail - one of the best places we have ever stayed on our travels. Everything was great
- SherylSZ (10/5): Beat Expectations! - Wishing we could have booked for more than two nights but we booked 10 days before arrival, and we were lucky to get the two nights that we did! Looks like the innkeepers may have changed since last year, but Jori (sp?) and his wife were fantastic. Jori is extremely knowledgeable on the area and things to do – we really appreciated his input on hikes, and he had great suggestions. The Inn is perfectly maintained with great beds and views – looks just like the photographs. It is located in a great neighborhood, and we walked to town as needed. My husband saw the neighborhood bear, but I did not ☹
- Jane (10/5): Exceptional - The Snug Harbour Inn was absolutely stunning! Amazing facilities, great location, wonderful hosts and breakfast each morning was lovely That we had to leave
- Joel (10/5): Exceptional - All-around perfect stay. Beautiful and quiet inn and surroundings. Stellar service. Delicious breakfast.
- Shona (9/5): Not just another hotel room . - The hosts of this property are amazing.
Gave us great information about the area .
Fantastic breakfast every morning .
Perfect place to relax on the beautiful beach collecting shells ,enjoy the spa, sauna or as we did sat and watched the sun go down with a glass of wine around a fire pit.
They have bikes and paddle boards for the adventures. Had to leave without trying smoked fish.
- Bob (9/5): Superb - Great breakfast
- Nigel (10/5): Exceptional stay. Would visit again. - The breakfast was exceptional, catered to the customer's taste, and with the option of room service. Room was clean with an incredible sea-view. The weather was quite chilly with some rain and unfortunately the fireplace was not working in the room. This is maintenance that should have been completed/checked before guests arrive.
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (9/5): The location is absolutely stunning, and the hosts were very gracious and helpful. - The breakfasts were really wonderful. While they were not huge breakfasts (which is fine), they was a nice variety and well presented. While it's a bed and breakfast-style inn, it would have been nice to get the room serviced during our stay.
- Charles (10/5): Couldn’t ask for a more ideal stay! - Fantastic setting on beautiful cove with great views and amenities. Loved everything about it!
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional - What a special spot. The view from our private balcony was stunning, the bed was extremely comfortable, breakfast each morning was beyond delicious, and the facilities were top notch. We visited late in April and it felt like we had the hot tub and Sauna all to ourselves. The hosts were helpful and always present if we needed assistance with anything. I could not recommend this spot more, a hidden gem!! Nothing
- Zurell (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed 4 nights at the Snug and LOVED IT! Why? The hosts were super friendly and helpful; the daily breakfast was perfect for us (fresh cooked & variable dishes); the campfire at the bay (privat tiny bay with sun in the afternoon and evening!) was our highlight and of course our room (no. 2 - Hemlock) had an incredible view!! Thank you Snug Team
- Larry (10/5): Exceptional - Great ocean view, wonderful hosts, comfortable bed, great breakfast. No faults here.
- 344salif (10/5): Super snug harbour inn - We loved this elegant cozy inn on its private beach! We started our days with incredible culinary presentations and pairings, served by our lovely, intuitive hosts Sue and Scott. They provided local info re the beaches, catch and release acquarium, salmon hatchery and more. The rooms were clean and spacious with huge windows, porches, close ocean views, king beds, fridges, heated bathroom floors with large showers... I loved finishing our days in the sauna then hot tub, both overlooking the ocean. A great place to stay.
- U1265JBdavidd (10/5): Luxurious B&B - This is a luxurious place to stay, with massive, comfortable beds and glorious sea views. Breakfasts are culinary masterpieces, which you can either have in your room or in the living room with others. Sue and Scott are friendly and helpful hosts.
- jennyrH3083EE (10/5): Luxurious place - Just a fabulous experience. The rooms were spacious and the food was absolutely delicious! Used the sauna and hot tub daily. It was an extremely relaxing experience!
My room had an ocean front view - sound of the waves at night was great. (didn’t use the bikes or paddle boards - but we could have). Our hosts - Sue and Scott- provided everything we needed - a pleasure to talk with them. Highly recommend Snug Harbour.
- maggierS4837SS (10/5): Wonderful ambience - This place is magnificent. I’ve travelled a lot and this rates among the top 10 places to stay. Huge rooms, individually decorated, with comfortable beds. Sue and Scott are easy going hosts serving well thought out breakfasts. Who knew salad was for breakfast. Sauna with a view over the water and a hot tub were so appreciated after days of beach combing. Lots to do too including access to bikes and paddle boards. Hope to stay here again.
- SimonndJulie (10/5): One of the best places we have ever stayed - Firstly we want to say thank you to Scott and Sue for making our stay such a memorable experience. Pleasant, personable hosts who were happy to share their experience and advice as well as their own stories.
The actual premises is glorious. Stunning views, amazing decor with some wonderful touches. Loved the sauna overlooking the beach, loved exploring the rocks, loved sitting in the communal area looking out across the Pacific, and loved our room.
Food - well breakfast was excellent. Scott and Sue cooked quality healthy well presented food which was different and to be fair would cost a fortune in other places. We thought the food was stylish and varied.
And the views - you won’t beat it and we’ve seen a fair few in Canada !
We will be back.
- Bernard (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary at this stunning location - Spectacular location, Sitka suite was stunning, delicious breakfast each day Minor problems at check in when we were shown incorrect room & presented with a gift from owner meant for another guest with same surname. Also minor confusion with timing & location of breakfast on second morning
- Eileen (10/5): Exceptional property and amazing hosts. - The view was one in a million! The Cedar Room suite was exceptional and the whole property was immaculate and 5 star status throughout. The Snug Harbour breakfasts were amazing gourmet quality. Not a thing
- Douglas (10/5): Perfect mix of comfort, location and the feeling of being welcomed! - Great hot couple. Amazing breakfasts. Different every day.
- JeremyB3317 (10/5): Stunning! - Stunning location with beautiful views across the water. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming, lots of good info shared. Room was great with good and comfortable facilities. Town was only a short walk away as were other local trails. Breakfasts were excellent!
- Jez (10/5): Stunning location and great hosts! - Everything! Absolutely fantastic location, views were stunning. Hosts couldn’t have been more friendly or helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. Only a short walk out of town. Would totally recommend to anyone wanting total relaxation. Nothing.
- Brian (10/5): Wonderful stay, exceeding our high expectations - Incredible view, wonderful breakfast (self prepared by the host), charming and friendly host with helpful tips for things to do, bicycles, SUPs, …
Stay longer than two nights as there are plenty of potential activities!
- Avner (10/5): Exceptional - Great host, great room with the most beautiful view of the bay Nothing
- Hans (9/5): Pricy but worth it for the special experience and wonderful hospitality. - Lovely setting. Tasteful design. Great breakfast. Wonderful hosts.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was nice..... Staff were lovely ... and they made you feel welcome but not invasive.... Very Pleasant All good...... the view from your beautiful room .... There was nothing bad..... Heaven to look around area.
But l just wanted to stay there and just look around. Birds and BALD EAGLES passing by
I did not like to leave........!!!!!!!
- Jane (10/5): it’s perfect in every way!! the very best accommodation on our road trip - absolutely everything nothing at all
- PBPG (6/5): Stunning Views - Very cheerful and friendly hosts greeted us on our arrival. This place has great views from the bedrooms. A good sized, well equipped room with table and chairs near the window and a good bed. The glass fire between bedroom and bathroom gives great view of the toilet. The hand basin for bathroom is in the bedroom, which is a bit strange. Breakfast is same for everyone, delivered in wooden boxes to the main reception area, first day some sort of kale salad with an oil and vinegar dressing and poached egg in middle, not to our liking at all. Second day breakfast was an excellent, poached egg, cooked perfectly, with two slices of white toast and some delicious jam delivered to our room. Private deck means you have the sole use of, not that it is private, most of ours could be seen by other guests. We couldn’t make the log effect gas fire in room work even when we turned the thermostat up
- Suzanne (9/5): Superb - Room, view, cleanliness was all exceptional. And the breakfast was top quality. There was some construction, which they were very upfront about prior to our arrival. Staff was very nice and friendly but could have been a little more available. It's a fine line between giving guests privacy and being more in their space.
- 766stevec (10/5): Probably the best B&B in the world - The location is perfect with stunning views. Our room had everything we needed with a huge comfortable bed, sofas to relax in front of our real log fire, a table and chairs in front of the window to enjoy breakfast and a balcony with more chairs.
Our host Nancy was very welcoming and helpful. Each morning she cooked an amazing breakfast which was delivered to our room in a beautiful wooden box. Every day she made something different and it was always exciting to find out what was for breakfast. Fresh ground coffee from the local Foggy Bean Coffee Company was always available for the French press in our room with a Keurig machine downstairs in the common area and unlimited teas, hot chocolate, milk and cream in the fridge.
The common area has a "snug" with sofas and a fireplace for cold winter's evenings. On the patio overlooking the view of the sea is a huge hot tub which was amazing to sit in at night under the stars. There's also a wooden staircase that gives access to the private beach with more chairs to relax in.
We explored Ucluelet on foot and walked the Lighthouse trail. There are plenty of great cafés and restaurants in Ucluelet, all within walking distance of the B&B and all of the local roads are well lit.
I wouldn't hesitate to go back here.
- lblatscc (10/5): Exceptional stay at Snug Harbor - Truely exceptional is the only phrase to describe our experience at Snug Harbor B&B. Nancy , the co-owner, creates an experience of easy going luxury. Sheets soft as butter; pillows that are so comfy I'm going to buy them for our house. And the view! A beautiful water view from our room complete with a pair of nesting bald eagles. A private stone beach. A fabulous conversation pit in the main common room with a fireplace. If it's warm you can enjoy the view from the hot tub on the deck.
Breakfast was delicious. And varied day by day. Nancy is an expert on the surrounding trails if you like to hike. Oh yes, we definately want to stay here again.
- J6988BPstepheng (10/5): A perfect Vancouver Island getaway! - One word - AAAHHHMAAAAZING! Nancy was a super host and the inn exceeded our expectations. The location on a quiet, rugged cove was stunning. Breakfasts were scrumptious, healthy and beautiful. The room was tidy, comy, and spacious. The hot tub under the stars was a great way to wind down at the end of the day. Take a nap by the crackling fire after a rainy walk (which we did!). Ukee is a fun coastal town with some great spots. Hike the Wild Pacific Trail. Eat something yummy at Yayu Cafe. Visit the sea lions near the ferry ramp (by the aquarium). We can't wait to come back! Thanks Nancy (and Fabian)..

- C9923NUtimothyc (10/5): We had a wonderful time and highly recommend the Snug Harbour Inn - Our entire time at the Inn was excellent. We were there for five nights, so we had a variety of breakfasts and all of them were amazing. The entire Inn was very clean and well cared for. The room we were in (Atlantis) was spacious with an incredible view. Finally, Nancy was a pleasure to chat with and a great host. We would highly recommend this Inn for anyone visiting Ucluelet.
- 503jilliang (10/5): Amazing and well worth it!! - Worth every penny!! Nancy was amazing and made us feel welcome right from our arrival. Our room (Sawadee) was beautiful, spotless and the view was fantastic. We were celebrating our 1st year anniversary and Nancy had added some special touches to our room in celebration of this which really made it feel special. The room was very comfy, I have a bad back due to previous injury and the mattress was just the right amount of firm and the soaker tub was huge! The breakfasts were amazing, and we loved how it was delivered to our room where we could eat while looking at the ocean. We also loved morning coffees on our private deck! We used every aspect of this B&B and though there were several other couples staying it never felt crowded or loud. We immensely enjoyed our weekend, cannot say enough good things and will definitely be booking again.
- wernero227 (10/5): The best B&B ever - We stayed in the Lighthouse room. Luxerious, spacious, even with bad weather tremendous view. Nancy was always a very good host and gave us helpfull hints. Thanks for all. We wished to stay longer in this B&B.
