- Stefan (8/5): Okay für eine Nacht - Sehr großes Zimmer im Erdgeschoss mit Raumteiler, alles sehr sauber. Es war (typisch Motel?) etwas abgelegen und sehr dunkel und lieblos.

- Russell (8/5): Very comfortable accommodation - Size of room Scissors needed in cutlery drawer
Very noisy sound coming down exhaust fan chimney -? Wind blowing something on roof and sound transferring down exhaust vent . Loud enough to disturb sleep.
- Dianne (10/5): Great - The room was great, good space and clean. Beds were very comfortable too.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Nothing I was more than happy with everything.

- Liz (8/5): -
- Diane (8/5): Met our needs - Older style room but very clean and roomy
- Caroline (9/5): The rooms are big and have a lot of storage. The kitchen is lovely. - The kitchen chairs needed rubber feet as the chairs make an awful loud noise when they are moved.
- Graeme (8/5): -
- Francie (5/5): - Clean spacious. The restaurant and bar were closed over the holidays. We wernt told that this was the case.I picked this motel, because of being able to have meals there.Bad management.

- Carol (10/5): Great value for money! - Everything! Crisp clean bedding; extra large bed; lounge area; kitchen; very large bathroom; bar and restaurant on site; good sized TV with Sky channels; plenty of tea/coffee etc; about 2km from centre straight down the road; Nothing
- Maria (8/5): -
- Allan (8/5): -
- Marilyn (6/5): - Felt they needed to have staff at reception
Bar staff not that welcoming. Heater non functional.
Stairs rather daunting for senior citizens. Ask for ground level in future.
- Andrea (10/5): Great venue everything u need at a very good rate - Great motel had a real oven and close enough to town with a car. Onsite restaurant food A1! Huge room.
Lovely staff we would recommend and stay here again. Nothing it was excellent
- Keith (8/5): -
- Tina (6/5): -
- Christopher (8/5): - Very spacious clean well kitted out motel units - we were in 4,5, and 6 on the ground floor.
- Gwyn (10/5): - Loved the nespresso machine and spacious rooms. Bathrooms were clean and looked recently renovated.
- FRANCES (8/5): -
- Blair (8/5): Freindly - The staff were amazing
The food was great Wasn't hotel fault but we had a power outage for few hours and couldn't have shower or get ready for family funeral
- Michelle (6/5): Pleasant -
- Alana (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - close to restraint &pub nothing . All was above & beyond. All motels take NOTE 😀😀😀😀😀🧳🧳🧳🧳
- Mingye (10/5): Beyond expectations - The room was so spacious and clean. The area was quiet and the staff were very friendly and nice.
- John (8/5): Good location and comfortable room. - Simple stay with clean amenities.
- Athene (7/5): Very large Motel room, North of Oamaru Centre - This motel is a little north and some distance from the heart of Oamaru. The check in was very pleasant. My room was upstairs and as I climbed them I was disappointed with the grubby appearance and was concerned what the room would be like! The balcony was much the same. The motel room was really large and comfortable, a little outdated but it was clean. I like to cook but the kitchenware was somewhat limited and the frypan would not sit on the element. the beds were comfortable. The motel compendium requires updating as it does not give current information. The bar is large and the bar attendant was great. Grubby stairwell and balcony, both of which could do with a repaint. Kitchenware requires an update.
- Graham (9/5): Very enjoyable - Good Meal great bar staff
- Helen (6/5): Pleasant -
- Adlam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bronwyn (9/5): Superb - Great place to stay None
- Brian (9/5): Superb - Very neat, clean and well looked after. The only noise we heard was from the door moving sometimes. It was not a tight fit with the draught excludeder, and you could see a bead of light around the edge of the door. The chairs sounded loud on the kitchen floor, and we could hear the neighbouring room's chairs scrape across their floor too. Other than that, and the fridge being a little noisy, it was great, very neat, clean and well looked after.
- Angela (5/5): Passable -
- Anne (8/5): Lovely place to stay if you value spaciousness and quiet. - Quiet at night, huge rooms, especially the bathroom, had a coffee machine in room, comfortable bed, well equipped with lights, desk, coffee table high enough to use for dining plus actual dining table. On-site restaurant that does room service. Bathroom sink was blocked and not fixed during our two night stay (it was the weekend however). No replacement coffee pods for day two. TV quite small for size of lounge. Could go with blackout blind over kitchen sink. Would prefer not to have to go into the bar to check in.
- Anthony (9/5): Superb, couldn't fault it. Would definitely return on our next visit to lovely Oamaru. - We were impressed at the spaciousness of the studio unit, with clearly defined kitchen, sleeping and living areas and plenty of room. By accident, rather than design, NorthStar was immediately adjacent to a church where we were attending a weekend conference. We could walk there through the carpark. That was a bonus! We love Oamaru, but the fluoridated water taste takes a bit of getting used to.
- Cicely (8/5): Very good - Massive room, nicely decorated, well kitted out and very comfortable. Great location for Whitestone Cheese deli and cafe which we also loved. The bar didn't live up to the description, barely any NZ wines, let alone Otago when it claimed to source local.
Too far out of town to comfortably walk and no public transport.
- Julie (5/5): Disappointing due to other inconsiderate guests - The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had neighbours banging on each others doors, running up and down outside and were awoken the last night twice at 1am/3.30am with slamming doors.
- Heloise (8/5): Very good - Having a restaurant at the property, ment we could get a meal without travelling further.
Very helpful staff and so friendly The room arrangement. No ambience. Didn’t seem to be air conditioning? It was a bit hot
- Sandy (6/5): Comfortable but in serious need of brightening up...too dingy - Location and access Room was dingy, old and we had been put in a disabled unit so everything was lower .ie cupboards, bench.
Also we had hammering for about an hour or so at night when trying to sleep...we were in first room next to reception so I guess it was coming from there.
- Idit (8/5): Very good -
- Lizzie (10/5): Exceptional - Having a great night at fabulous venue with delicious food and events on site in restaurant = enjoying staying and eating, having a drink on site! Going home!
- David (10/5): Huge immaculate suite and great restaurant - Food was great. Lovely suite was HUGE snd immaculate. Very helpful staff
- Zachary (9/5): Superb -
- Tayla (9/5): Superb -
- Jose (7/5): Good -
- Aden (3/5): average, grossly overpriced - size of the bed Booking.com said we would have a balcony which was in correct, firstly the Motel wanted to put
us on the Ground Floor (hence no balcony) then we were offered a unit level one that had a 'balcony that
was needed to get upstairs but didnt have its own balcony
- Anne (4/5): ok - Had everything it said that it would Room had cleanliness issues and smelt strongly of the previous occupants curry. Bar looked very dodgy.
- Nikki (10/5): Exceptional - Thanks for allowing me to check in early
- Goathouse (7/5): Decent size accommodation just off the main highway - Decent size room with good shower. Bit dark inside and could benefit from smaller cereal bowls .
- Candice (10/5): The rooms had everything we needed. Everything was lovely and clean with the most amazing service. The deli 300m away wa - It was comfortable, clean with wonderful staff. -
- Dorothy (10/5): Exceptional - The staff we're very accomodating and friendly
The size of the unit was great it was very clean, and the bed was super comfy. We are very happy with this Motel and will happily return, highly recommended. Nothing
- Ken (7/5): Nice location - Location Facility
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Matt (9/5): Relaxing and comfy accommodation highly recommend - Very spacious throughout, very clean and tidy, great parking, nice views from upstairs room. Very quiet. Only the weather lol, room was great.
- AverageMonza (8/5): Reasonably Priced Spacious Room - A fantastic room. Very spacious, clean and comfortable. A good kitchen, lounge area, dining area, separate shower and toilet, comfortable bed. Reasonably quiet at night considering it is near a main road and is part of pub/restaurant (although free standing). A good price for the room and we would stay here again.
- Karen (6/5): Pleasant - A nice room very clean and tidy Room was quiet stuffy and hot.
- Marlise (7/5): Warm, clean and comfortable. - Clean and tidy. Warm. N/A
- shanetB1332QW (2/5): Absolutely disgusting meal - Worst dinner we have ever eaten.
Steak under cooked, French fries under cooked, salad was just a bowl of lettuce with watery dressing, mushroom sauce for steak was mushrooms in water.
Been eating here for yrs,
Not been here in 2 yrs,
Must be a new cook, definenly not a chef..
Never again..
Don't eat here....
Waste of money..

- Ioana (10/5): Perfect location, immaculate presentation, spacious and had everything we needed. - Luo (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (9/5): Stuck and found a great hotel - The staff were friendly and the room.was great. Considering that it was last minute due to a state of emergency in Dunedin. The restaurant was fantastic Nothing
