Value for money is debatable, I think it is pricey The staff during the check-in was a bit shifty, asked me to negotiate the price of the room, which i never think is done anywhere. I proceeded to book online, and he made me walk some distance to withdraw cash under the hot sun. If you have an international card, there is a chance their POS will reject it, so bring dollars/cedis cash. That's not easy for travelers who have come a long way and just need to check-in and rest.

• Lee (8/5): Overall good - It is an older hotel that could use some minor maintance. The staff was great and so was the pool. We had dinner there it was good but the breakfast was just ok. The room was comfotable and it had plenty of hot water for showering. The tv remote didn't work.

• Cinderella (4/5): It was a good experience. - Air conditioners and comfy bed The bathroom needs upgrade, towels looked grey instead of white. Food was hard to chew, beef was hard, chicken was hard gizzards were worse.

Ficaram a desejar aspectos como: porta do chuveiro que não havia, limpeza do quarto boa, mas poderia ser melhor... Meu quarto estava no piso superior a uma área onde embaixo havia movimentaçào de instrumentos e artigos do hotel, o que causava barulho.

• Faith (8/5): I enjoyed my stay , thr hotel was peaceful , in a very serene environment, the premises very clean. - The environment is clean, staffs are very friendly and helpful, free Airport shuttle , from the Airport and back made me so comfortable. Kudos to Mj weldone. The bathroom had some leaks, wall pictures should be plain without any cowries attached to them.

• Igwe (10/5): - The place is great. I was supposed to be stranded as I had lost my Card on my way to Ghana, got to the hotel an they allowed me to stay overnight while I sorted out my payment. Luckily I was able to pay the next morning and the place is absolutely amazing. The people are so friendly and welcoming and facilities are amazing. Thank you MJ Grand.

• Alisha (8/5): Will be back again. - This was my second time staying at MJ Grand Hotel and it was a great value for my money. Good location, customer service and food. Internet went down one day during stay when I needed to work
• SAMSON (3/5): Fair - Outlook of hotel and staff Plumbing work very bad. Water unable to flow after bathing and becomes stagnant. Breakfast lacks variety.
• Noel (2/5): Overpriced and outdated! - Friendly and quiet neighborhood, hotel entrance welcoming and breakfast with a huge selection. They use their own exchange rate which doesn’t reflect the actual rate. I booked a room for 167$ and was charged 20$ extra because their rate was different. In the end I was able to get a small discount for a twin room (which was on booking even 300 cedis less expensive!!!) instead of two separate rooms but the standard of the room and how clean it was, was below what you would expect of a hotel from this star rating and price (hair everywhere, loose sink, cheap mattress, not good material).

• Mark-Kofi (7/5): Good location - Zero points for no elevator - Location and airport pick-up. No elevator in the property. My room was on the top floor. Despite having help, I still had to carry some of my bags up three flights of stairs. It was hard work. Poor lighting in parts of the room. Especially in the clossett area near the room door. Shower area needs to be redone looks like it was an afterthought.

The location is nice and the staff friendly and polite For the price, the quality of the facilities should be better. The bathroom was flooding, although it was fixed when I complained which is nice. The tv was low quality. Overall I feel the quality of the rooms can be better for the price. At check in, i was about to pay for the booking, however they insisted on a higher exchange rate which cost me almost 50 pounds extra. I don’t know why they just don’t put their actual price on booking.com. It’s very deceptive.

I didn’t like that we paid for large family suites, but they gave our suites to others and then gave us lesser rooms although I showed them my itinerary from Expedia and what we paid for and they just didn’t have the rooms. We booked two of the same rooms and we were robbed out right.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff is generally professional and friendly and tries to accommodate guests various needs. The hotel is ideally located in East Legon which is close to the airport and close to the metropolitan area of new Accra as well as the old city. In addition, the buffet breakfast at the hotel includes both tasty Ghanaian dishes as well as continental breakfast. All around the experience at the at this property is a good deal!
