- Brett (8/5): - My family and I truly enjoyed our time; the accommodations were excellent, the room was very comfortable, and your staff were incredibly welcoming. The primary purpose of my email, however, relates to a small issue we encountered with the parking arrangements, which I hope you can address for future guests. Upon arrival, we informed the front desk that our vehicle, with two racing paddle boards secured on the roof (valued at approximately $4,000 each), would not fit in the underground garage due to the low clearance. Your team was understanding at the time and let us know about getting a warning note. While we appreciated your parking situation, the method of applying the pass caused a significant problem. The sticker was affixed to the driver's side window with an extremely strong adhesive. Upon our departure, removing this sticker required over 20 minutes of careful scraping with a razor blade and adhesive remover to avoid damaging the glass. This was a frustrating and time-consuming end to an otherwise lovely visit. I am sure this is not the experience you intend for your guests. I would kindly suggest reviewing the type of parking passes used for vehicles that cannot access the garage. Perhaps a less permanent sticker would be a more guest-friendly solution. Thank you again for the great stay. We would certainly consider returning, and I hope this feedback is helpful for your future operations.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location was perfect and amazingly we stayed in a unit situated on the boardwalk so we could watch the waves rolling in,the people out walking and riding.We didn’t use either of the two pools although they looked very inviting if a little small..The apartment has an updated kitchen and lovely beachy fittings and furnishings,comfortable seating,the linens were spotless.There is no lift which was not a problem for us but if you have mobility problems it most likely would be a little difficult to get around the grounds.We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was neat and had all the things that we needed. The fans and microwave were a bit dirty but apart from these the apartment was just what we needed for a couple of days out from the busyness of life.

- THOMAS (10/5): Cozy and friendly vacation apartment getaway - We stayed for 4 nights in this well apportioned apartment. With just one phone midday call, late check-in was a breeze with a detailed text explaining how to get the keys. The location was ideal: ocean is a short walk through the dune trails, river beach is on the side. Busses stop just a few feet from the entrance, and downtown Palm Beach is about 4 blocks away. The well planned kitchen had everything you needed, including both glasses for the apartment and plastic cups for the pool drinks. Both balconies had plenty of seating (4 chairs to enjoy the ocean view and 3 chairs for the poolside balcony). The Internet would only work on the poolside balcony, not inside the apartment. 3 hot tubs to choose from plus 2 pools, one pool is solar heated (and still a bit cool). Overall a well run and well maintained place that I look forward to visiting on future trips to the Gold Coast.

Internet speed and accessibility was hopeless so not good for business travellers, at times it didn't work at all.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Didn't get the apartment I booked. - Lovely gardens and pool just outside our door. Very friendly and helpful receptionists. Our 2 bedroom apartment had a very dated bathroom and the rest of the apartment was better but not really modern. We had booked into the only 1 bedroom apartment there and I rang before booking to check if the one shown on the hotel website would be what we'd get and I was assured it was as it was the only one. It had lovely wooden floors and modern decor . But when we got there we were given this other outdated apartment. They let us have a look at 2 others if we'd prefer one of them but they were either only slightly better or had a hard bed. The one we were given at least had a really comfortable soft bed. Apparently we were not given the apartment we booked because the owners wanted to stay there and although the management discourage it, they have priority over anyone who books it! I wouldn't stay there again for that reason. I wouldn't have booked there if I knew we wouldn't get that nicer apartment. It is close to the beach though and can walk into town but don't think a lot of the town as it's not near the beach and a bit ordinary. The apartment could have provided a bit more like oven mits, foil and salt and maybe a bit of washing powder and more than one sachet of dish washing powder ! For what you pay, it's not too much to ask.

- Rebecca (10/5): Awesome for Families - Great apartment that had everything we needed. Clean and tidy and modern. The pools were fantastic as they were heated so the kids could play in them during the winter which was a bonus. Wifi. Very close to a surf beach which was again fab for husband and kids, nice and quiet area. Underground allocated parking was again a bonus. Next to a play ground and decent coffee shop. Supermaket was a 5 min drive away. Only issue was really a lack of a duvet for those extra chilly nights which we had (unusual for GC). Also a couple of broken dining chairs but not a major issue. Check in and check out was super easy and staff really friendly. Overall we loved it and the kids did. Will definitely book again when we return to the GC.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Beautiful Grounds - My family stayed for 4 days. We loved the pool area. The pools are heated for the cooler weather. The outside amenities were fantastic....gorgeous gardens...lots of space to sit....undercover BBQ areas near pools are very modern with showers and change rooms. We had a unit with fantastic views of the ocean....amazing. l would make sure you get to look at your unit before you book as they seem to vary. Ours was comfortable but very old bathrooms and furniture and not fitted out very well. Very old blankets and towels. There was a power point in my children's room with the wires showing. We would definitely come back but choose our room more carefully.

Also close to dining facilities and to Coolangatta airport. Was also handy to Broadbeach and Pacific Fair and the Casino. Worst feature but soon forgotten was the lack of a lift. Staff were very helpful and gave very accurate advice on various matters. Apartment was very comfortable with ceiling fans in every room and a reverse cycle air conditioner in the living area. Highly recommend for a relaxing holiday.

- H (4/5): Looks greats on pictures but room was terrible. - My family and I stayed at Currumbin Sands on the Australia Day long weekend for 2 nights (26 - 28 January 2018) which was also my parents’ wedding anniversary. We weren’t too phased about the cost of booking the 3 bedroom apartment as my brother and I wanted to give them a relaxing and memorable time for their anniversary. The place and room looked fantastic from the photos and it had great reviews so I was confident that it’s the perfect place but unfortunately when we arrived in the room, it looked nothing like the photos. It had very old furnitures, kitchen and benches which looked nothing like what was shown on their website for this bedroom size, the place was dusty, mirrors were dirty, window screens were broken and fans were so old that it was screeching when put on the highest speed. It was a disappointing stay but nonetheless we had a great time in Gold Coast. I personally would not come back.

I was not disappointed. We had a beachsie apartment with magnificent views. The complex is adjacent to a park and the estuary, so easy for walking. The reception staff were so friendly and accommodating. A great experience.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice but noisy. - We only stayed 2 nights but had been on the Gold Coast for the month prior. This was by far the cleanest place we had stayed in. I cannot fault the cleanliness and nice smell of our apartment. We were at the end of our holiday and had 2 nights left. This would have been brilliant except for the jack hammering in the apartment above or next to ours - not sure which direction the noise was coming from as it was echoing. I could not hear my friend talk nor the television which I tried to use as a distraction. It started around 9am and I was beside myself. I had not been well and was needing a rest and I could not escape the noise no matter what room I went in. It went on for hours and my head was thumping. I am aware that places need to do repairs or whatever it was but it would have been nice to have the option of not staying there while these works went on. Yes I could have gone out but that was not what I was intending, I just wanted some rest. The young man that checked us in was so polite and nice and the pool area was perfect. The beach location was lovely. Everything else was fine. Nice and close to the airport. Only problem was noise.

The location is unbeatable ... a very short walk to the beach and lagoon and a great cafe less than 50m away. The grounds are well maintained and the heated pool in winter was a bonus. Very safe and secure. Great for families.
- alan (8/5): Beautiful complex including landscaping - We really liked the comfortable furniture and spacious living rooms. However the towels were too thin and could only be used once. No facecloth and only one hand towel was disappointing. A manual for the microwave would have been handy but very spacious and clean. Spa was great.
- Adam (10/5): Very nice units right on the beach - I lived in one of these units for a few months back in 2007 and it was a please coming back for a couple weeks stay. The units are very spacious and well appointed. The staff very friendly. It's an amazing deal for the price. Having a couple bedrooms, full kitchen, and laundry facilities made for a nice stay. And so close to the beach and estuary it's amazing they're not charging double.

Luckily we got the last available apartment at Currumbin Sands. The hotel that failed to honor our booking did us a favour as we found much nicer surrounds for swimming & walking. Hotel security is first rate. Unit had a good layout, fittings just a little dated but very clean.

- Tamara (8/5): Great facilities and location - We were very impressed with the service and friendliness of the staff and impressed at how they cleaned the pool and bar area every day so the large pool was always sparkling. The location right on the beach and estuary makes it a fantastic place for a holiday. We stayed on the top floor overlooking the pool so be warned about four flights of stairs from the garage, Three bedroom room was large with air conditioning and nice linen, however, the large 'Bali' inspired furniture overtook the space with handles falling off most of the unnecessary furniture. Unfortunately the sofa was so uncomfortable that we preferred to sit on the dining room chairs and cleanliness could have been better as the unit did smell a bit and the kitchen had become a graveyard for the owners unwanted utensils and gifts, such as pop cake kits. This can lead to the kitchen becoming a bit overcrowded and dirty. I good scrub and clear out is in order, but plenty of basic cutlery and crockery, included plastic wear for kids was available. Overall I would recommend for families.

A couch that has quite a hump that keeps you sliding off, several floor level differences to keep alert for, a queen bed on castors on a hard floor... TV in the bedroom had a mind of its own...... Made for an interesting stay...
