• Sonjya (1/5): The most miserable accomodation we have ever had the displeasure of staying in. - We stayed in room 4 the first night, it was an absolute nightmare. Microwave - even the lady looking after motel could not make it work and had to get one from another room. Our door lock kept jamming so we couldnt lock the door. Nearly every electrical plug on the walls was dodgy and loose, TV didnt work on freeview the shower rail that holds the shower head etc, was nearly falling off wall Wardrobe door was coming off hinges, Toilet was a shocker, if you went it wouldnt flush away. If you sat it started flushing as lid of toilet hits the flush button. Toilet is about the height for a 5 year old. Cutlery etc in room was pretty bad, mismatched mess. dishes had to be washed in bathroom sink Seen better pillows on the dogs bed, so thin and awful Windows dont close properly, handles coming loose. all in all this place was dirty, dated and if we could have got hold of booking.com to get a refund we would have. There was nothing good about this motel and when our concerns were passed on to owner who was away, we were told this is a cheaper motel.- and that we needed to give 48 hours to cancel. Granted but still needs to be safe and clean and usable Lady looking after the place gave us another room, which was bigger, toilet worked and she swapped the microwave again. but still pretty bad.
• Ian (2/5): Wouldn't stay here again. Avoid if possible - The location of the property is great. The price was very reasonable The check in experience got things off to a bad start. They couldn't find our reservation and eventually found it after providing the booking reference number from Booking.com. This took 10 to 15 minuets. Our room was located on the 2nd floor and it is extremely outdated and in need of some maintenance. There was no milk provided to make a coffee with but I was more concerned with the dodgy electrical sockets that couldn't hold chargers, as they just kept falling out. At night it sounds as if the main road is running through the middle of the room! The traffic noise was just so loud. The parking facilities are extremely crammed making it difficult to get in and out and it is very difficult to find the place at night time due to no signage that is lit up. The shower is a treat having to step up about a foot to get into the shower with no handrails for assistance and the water pressure is terrible. Glad it was only for a night but we were seriously considering about changing accommodation.

• Deborah (5/5): Priced reasonably but I wouldn’t stay again. Thought Id booked a downstairs unit but I had to scale stairs. - Reasonably priced Noisy.. sirens throughout the night and loud guests. The shower cubicle I thought bordered on dangerous. Quite a high step up into the cubicle of which the base was slippery steel. No handrail or anything to support. Getting out even worse! Big step , over edge to reach floor. Nothing to hold on to.Glass door pivoted and took up a good quarter of the open space to get out. Really poorly designed and definitely dangerous for the elderly or anyone unsteady on their feet. Front car park very tight when full. It’s recommended for smaller cars but this was not enforced by management and larger suv’s/4wds, made it near impossible to get my car out. Front roadside illuminated sign was not working which made it difficult to find at night in a row of motels on a very busy road.

Room size is smaller than normal. The furniture is dated and needs upgrade.

Priced right for how dated the room was, but knew that in advance from photos. Bed was comfortable and unit spacious. Room serviced daily, could not fault staff and friendliness. Light over shower was not working. Crockery, glassware was just random pieces. Room was tired and windows hard to open and close due to age, but as stated above price reflected what was there.

• Valda (8/5): Was ok for us as we were warm and beds good but I wouldn’t go back to stay there again. - It’s location. Beds were comfy and we used one free standing heater and were lovely and warm. Had wall mounted heat pump but we didn’t use it. While beds, floor, & bench clean the place needs tidied up. The net curtains weren’t gathered just fitted across the window not reaching the bottom and had the odd hole. The paint work all needed attention and the skirting boards needed cleaned they were filthy. The whole place just needs maintenance work. The tap in kitchen I turned it and turned it no water but owner said just keep turning and we got water. Was hard to find at night as there sign wasn’t lit up just vacancy sign lit .

• Kevin (4/5): Adequate accommodation with great bed and shower, and being in a location that suited us - Location, free unlimited wi-fi, great bed, clean, ground floor, easy parking, quiet, easy walk to Merivale Mall. Full set of clean towels supplied on request. Good heaters. Toilet wouldn't flush normally, required the button to be held to fully flush. Bedside light flickered and went off & on intermittently. High step into shower was not consistent with my warning of my wife being mobility compromised. The whole complex was showing signs of serious wear, dated and very tired.

The car parking was very tight, smoking is permitted outside the units but blows into adjoining rooms, the laundry facilities were very untidy and there was old broken appliances near the clothesline. The shower fitting was coming unattached from the wall.
