• Colin (8/5): - Great place and location, we were in a unit without view (as we had booked) but you can't really get closer to the beach, price was good. A bit of extra cleaning for floor and under beds for beach sand and dust would move that rating upwards. The house was mostly great.

Right on the beach and listening to the waves is great close to the Tugun surf club for meals and a drink A number of small cockroaches were about. may need a treatment very soon.

• Candice (8/5): Improve the bed and it would be perfect - Location was good, apartment was a god size and pretty dull side kitchen and dining was great Despite affordable accommodation the main Bed was too small for two adults, a double I believe? Also a very cheap spring mattress that was hard and uncomfortable. Fans were also noisy Waking up tired and sore is not comfortable feeling or nice experience after staying somewhere
• Annette (8/5): Short but healing due to the safe, easy process and the incredible location - The location was amazing. Staff were extremely helpful. Everything was there Bed was hard, maybe a mattress topper would be helpful to give a little more cushioning. Pillows were very comfortable.
• Helen (7/5): Unsatisfactory cleaned - Location was great for us. As had relatives close by at Kirra. Master bed was comfort enough. Refurbished kitchen and bathroom. But needs some more work. Parking large cars wasnt easy. The parking on the cnr was hit or miss. Can't say was cleaned well Fry pans were not cleaned. Some cups and plates also not clean. No oven mits to use the oven. Sand still on floor in master bedroom. Had to sweep up both master and laundry myself. Washing machine had sand in it. Ran out of toilet paper and only one rubbish bag for 6 days. Had to wait till saw someone to get some. We were out each day with relatives and never went swimming, we went for short walk but used the cleaning water at the beach. So not sand travelled into the unit. My daughter complained about the bed. She said springs bruised her. And had an anxiety attack when the washing machine was out of balance twice. So ended up washing and drying at relatives unit at Kirra. The back fly wire door wouldn't shut. So was removed. The outdoor setting was old and wooden.
• Angelica Juliana (5/5): - Location At the time of renting, the apartment shown was different from the one we actually got. We were offered a second-floor unit, but we ended up with a first-floor one. The apartment was also a bit different, especially the flooring and how it looked compared to the photos.
• Kirsten (4/5): The only things above need fixing. I’m really sorry I have never had to give a disappointing review. - Being right on the beach 🏝️ The photos of room 7 to reflect the photos. The safety of the stairs needs improving immediately, this is an OHS issue. The plumbing needs to be seen to having a small baby sleeping and the plumbing knocking extremely loudly and waking him up. The smoke alarms also were beeping all night. The furniture including the pillows had stains on them and the place smelt mouldy/musty. Paying $500-$600 per night to stay here was definitely not worth the money for this room. I had also asked for a cot for my baby and didn’t get one. This stay became extremely uncomfortable for us and I don’t know if I’d recommend this stay to any of my friends and family.

• Robyn (7/5): Despite minor shortcomings we enjoyed our stay. - Location,location! Open & airy. Nicely & comfortably furnished. Well stocked with crockery & glassware. Hot shower with abundant water. Coffee pod machine. Challenging book in. No working sensor lights on stairway to units 3&4. Not a drop of milk , even 200ml of long life milk.

Broken dishwasher, full dishwasher from previous guests with contents still dirty making it impossible to use glasses and plates etc until they were washed again. Tea and coffee available but no milk - not even UHT or milk powder. Lack of response from host re dishwasher issue.
• Shona (6/5): Great Location - The location is 10 out of 10. Right across from the entrance to the beach. An easy walk to the surf club, park, cafes and local shops. The host were pleasant and easy to deal with. The apartments were nice and spacious and the furniture was all nice and comfortable. The apartment was not quite as well equipped as anticipated. The cooking facilities were lacking which wasn't ideal with two young kids. I think it is also time for a deep clean and some repairs. The fridge cool box was so frosted you couldn't fit anything and the actual freezer is also due a defrost. The shower drain was blocked so my poor dad had to clean it out so the water would run down and not flood out the shower. There was quite a lot of mould in the grout too. The door handles were also falling off which was a bit of a worry and I dont know when the blinds were last dusted or the curtains and windows washed. The extractor was so greasy it was almost glued shut. Most of the dishes were also still dirty so had to wash everything before we used it. The addition of a small dishwasher would be beneficial to ensure items are thoroughly cleaned.

• Bridget (1/5): Horrific. - Location, close proximity to the airport. There was sand all over the floor on arrival, the walls were filthy, black mould in the corners of the rooms and ceiling. The dining table, chairs and lounge suite felt sticky & looked dirty. Under the pillow slips were stained, gross looking pillows. The blinds had stains all over them too.

• Jay (10/5): Beautiful location and precisely what a small group needs for a week away. - Exactly what we needed for a weeklong stay with 4 young men with low maintenance. Properly stocked with cleaning equipment, such as bin bags. We had to go searching for them.

Allocated parking bay numbers are not consecutive. Why is 6 next to 8. No visitor parking. Friends in a 3 bedroom apartment, has a 3 place outdoor setting. Totally inadequate. Broken locks on their toilet door. No noise control. Party still going at 1.30am.
• Kelvin (1/5): Never stay here again - It was located next to the beach ,15 minute.walk to where I was going My room was advertised with a beach view it didn't ,I was mislead into thinking I had access to the front bbq area which we didn't . We had a three bedroom apartment with one outdoor table and three seats which you couldn't access anyway . One parking spot for a three bedroom apartment. The excess parking is a public car park that is always full . One aircon in the lounge to cool the entire apartment including the bedrooms. The entire apartment was run down mould on all the blinds . No locks on any of the doors . Two way bathroom with no locks . No water pressure in the shower not enough hot water for 6 people . We ended up using the public showers on the beach instead. Property manager was very good to communicate with until I started complaining then I heard nothing

• David (10/5): Perfect place to stay - Location . . Location.. Location! Spitting distance to the beach, Groceries a short walk and perfect cafes dotted the near vacinity. I also hired electric bikes which were an excellent means to get around to the local swimming spots and playgrounds. Pricing was perfect and staff were super helpful and professional! Highly reccomend Probably could use a broom / dustpan in the apartment, but being male, it was probaby there and I didnt see it

Some general maintenance detailing inside and out would make a big difference. With respect, if you raised the standard of presentation you could charge more.

• Kylie (8/5): - The closeness to the beach My daughter was zapped by a PowerPoint and an electrician wasn’t called - the onsite manager changed it himself. Very dangerous. Pots and pans were filthy and needed to be scrubbed before use.

• Ashlee (8/5): Great value for money. Will stay again - Reception was unattended when we arrived, however there was a number to call. On speaking to someone, i was told there was a text message sent to me with instruction on how to get in to the apartment which had gone to my spam folder. Once this was worked out, getting into the apartment was a breeze. Apartment was clean and quite roomy. Great location, quiet but still on the beach, Really good value for money. A little tired (needs fresh coat of paint, knob missing off the stove, washing machine a bit the worse for wear, floors need resealing) however none of this affected our stay.

• Tony (10/5): - André was a great host. Communicated well. Made everything easy. The location is spectacular. We were close enough to the beach that my son got stung by a bluebottle. Having a hot shower so close meant that we could help him immediately. The beds weren't super comfy and the pillows were essentially non-existent. The washing machine was good. The dryer was not.

• Jeffrey (1/5): Parking Altercation leads to dismissive and uninterested support from management. - We came into an altercation when someone parked in our spot and wouldn’t move. We spoke to that individual who lied about having instructions from the manager to move spots. After being redirected to a spot that didn’t allow us to open our driver side doors I confronted the individual and asked them to move out of my spot. Another driver then arrived saying I was now in their spot and we were all having it out at the front of the property and this individual just refused to move his car from my spot. The manager was called and put on loud speaker. Unfortunately nothing was done. There is a sign that says there is a $300 call out fee for issues arising due to parking. It was disappointing to contact the manager and not have any further solution provided. I got a lot of abuse from that individual and my family were scared because of the unreasonable nature of that individual. No one slept that night. It is a carspot - I know. But this turned into an intense situation and it became verbally abusive and in the end that other individual kept my spot. I had to climb in and out of the passenger rear door. If you want safety, security, peace of mind or reassurance that you can follow reasonable steps to involve management to resolve an issue if it arises then from my experience I would suggest you stay somewhere else or be prepared to take matters into your own hands. I will say that the manager said they may be some repercussions to that other persons for future stays. And that they may clear our cleaning fee. I am not sure what that does for us though. • Jhih-Rong (5/5): - We are grateful for the TV and the streaming options. Also the bathroom and shower were fine and there were as many beds as they said there was. The location is obviously great and that's pretty much what you're paying for. It definitely wasn't the luxury stay they advertised it to be. Poorly supplied kitchen with one plug-in induction stove, one very blunt knife, no oven, no cleaning supplies, no chux. The kettle was also the very cheap kind (worried about micro plastic poisoning). Rickety fan. Dishes and floor not clean on arrival. There were also barely any bathroom amenities, no hairdryer despite being listed in the ad. Stairs were also on the verge of collapsing. The car park was unavailable for the first day and half of the second day despite calling and messaging the manager to resolve the issue. Unclearly located and signed reception. The apartment is located next to the airport so there's noise day and night but this is understandable. This is just something future guests should keep in mind.

• Hannah (6/5): Fantastic location, but in need of a deep clean. Very dusty and dirty. - Excellent location Very dirty and dusty. Needs a good clean. Springy mattress.
• Amber Blackman (7/5): Great location, friendly host, comfortable stay - could use some updating! - Location was absolutely amazing. We were in unit 4, booked the 2 bedroom ocean view room and it looked exactly as pictured. Only dealt with the host by text but he was very responsive and friendly. Definitely getting a little old and agree with everyone saying it’s not a luxurious experience. Shower head was nearly falling off the wall, we had problems with the fridge not cooling. But for what you pay, you’re paying to be right on the beach!
• Angela (8/5): Great beachfront location. - Great location. Overlooking beach and near to Surf Clubs, fabulous market shop and restaurants. Good communication from host and access was easy. Tap outside to wash sandy feet was a good idea. Could do with cupboard or shelf in bathroom to put things on. Basin a bit cracked although fully functional. Outside runner of shower wasn’t clean of dirt and sand. Needs more bowls in kitchen. Kids in nextdoor unit kept going past patio door on their scooters, so had to use the outside chairs as barrier.

• Gemma (5/5): Loved the apartment. The only issue was the staircase which was crumbling and deteriorated and dange - Apartment was perfect. Spacious, beachy The staircase up to the apartment is incredibly dangerous. Parking was difficult
• Phoebe (4/5): Not worth the money spent - The location was nice At the time I booked the apartments were called “luxury” sandbox apartments. I feel it is pretty unfair to take this word out of the title while we are staying there. But, it certainly was NOT luxury. The place needs a deep clean, there is mould on the curtains, the dishwasher was broken and there was sand and items on the floor from the people who stayed before us. The people in the room next to us agreed, and said the owner was also on the rider side, which I can see from the replies to past reviews.
