Guest Reviews
- Kathleen (10/5): -
- Angel Girl (8/5): we were only there on a sat/sun but lovely place with great service. - Homemade breakfast was great with warm peaches and pancakes. Always homemade brownies or cookies available in dining room or fresh fruit and wine. For anyone elderly or with bad hips, it would be hard to climb over the very high tub wall/shower in Sabal Palm Room. Very high colonial bed same. You climb up 2 stairs to reach mattress. Once up there, it's great! Also, being a Gardner at heart, tl have all dead plants on front porch of such a beautiful Inn, I wanted to run out and buy even artificial ones and redecorate the porch. I understand there's a draught now but there's many things you can do to remedy dead palms. The front porch is important...curb appeal! But once inside, lovely.
- Diana (9/5): Nicole is an excellent cook and is so accommodating - Location was perfect. Very clean and charming and beds were very comfortable Only complaint: showers are extremely small
- Oli (10/5): -
- David (9/5): -
- Diane (10/5): The rooms and facilities were fantastic but Nicole, the chef and host is what made this one of the best places we’ve sta - On booking.com Nothing
- Markus (7/5): - Frühstück war prima.
Die Lage recht zentral.
- Eric (7/5): Not the best place like it I’ve stayed but good for my needs this trip - Historic structure. Location was a bit east of center which was exactly what I wanted. Breakfast was very good with nice, attentive staff. At a supposedly upscale facility, I don’t expect “self check in” Felt like they were trying to get the most while doing the least.
- David (7/5): Very nice stay, but unfortunately the traffic noise was a negative. - Breakfast was good. Nicole the host/cook was great. Traffic noise. It was not good at all.
- alfred (9/5): Had a great time. Breakfast was excellent. - Close to a lot of things to do. The stairs low lighting
- Judy (10/5): -
- Chuck (9/5): -
- Chuck (9/5): - The location for perfect for the function I needed to attend. One thermostat controlled all the rooms so you were at mercy of whomever adjusted it last.
- Linda (8/5): Place was comfortable and great location, with a few upgrades would be top notch. - Breakfast was excellent, also peanut butter cookies. Room needed better lighting, one lamp bulb was dead. Also another electric board for chargers, etc.
No soap or shampoo provided, towels need upgrading.
- Vivian (9/5): - Todo fantástico, nos mimaron mucho, todo era fácil. El CB aire acondicionado está altísimo.
- Ron (7/5): - Hello. Recently stayed at property NOT as currently advertised and offered. Property description offered working fireplace in ALL bedrooms. Our bedroom had NO fireplace at all. Property host Alex was contacted and spoken with while at property during stay. Host acknowledged incorrect property advertisement and guest expectation and experience was misleading and not met. Host advised us to contact Booking to provide additional information and dissatisfaction with service so host could be engaged further thru Booking for consideration of partial refund. Please assist us at this time with this matter. Thanks and appreciated. Ron & Sheilla Kunz
- Tiffany (10/5): Amazing - Cute inn. Phenomenal service. Amazing breakfast. Highly recommend. Everything was amazing. No complaints.
- Robert (10/5): Overall, this is a very nice place to stay, and the lady hostess / chef is the best. - The thing I liked the most was the Breakfast and conversations we had with the host each morning. She was very accommodating and asked if we would like what she was preparing for the next morning. She provided ideas and knowledge for things to do and what to go see along with suggestions as to where they were located and how to get to them. I would say the Green Palm Inn within its self could use some updates. We noticed that the mattress on the bed was worn and needed to be rotated in order to get a good night's sleep. The shower was fairly small compared to other areas and the parking needs to be better defined as to where it is located. How many spots are available and what other alternatives there are in front of the building as to how they work. Also, the landscaping in front of the building needs to be cleaned up and maintained better. I fault the landowner with these upgrades that wouldn't cost too much to make the upgrades.
- Wendy (10/5): Wonderful! - We really enjoyed our stay being the first time in Savannah. We loved our breakfast and it felt like home with our sweet hostess Nicole who was wonderful. I especially enjoyed her homemade cookies! We would definitely recommend the Green Palm Inn. Maybe a little more light in the room.
- Steve (9/5): -
- Sally (8/5): Lovely home in a busy neighborhood. - It was an easy entry into the house. A parking space was available. It was a lovely house in a location for easy walking. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. There was a tea & coffee bar available and freshly made cookies in the parlor when we arrived in addition to red & white wine. Breakfast was delicious and Nicole made a frittata without meat to accommodate our vegetarian diet. There wasn’t anyone to meet us at the house which seemed unusual to us for a bed & breakfast inn. There was an envelope with our name on it sitting on a table when we entered that gave us our room name. There was a Keurig coffee maker in the room which was appreciated but when I added half & half from an individual container and poured it in my coffee it curdled. There wasn’t a date on the container but it was certainly expired. Fortunately, there was half & half in a pitcher at breakfast. The house was located near a busy street and it was loud due to buses during the day. Also, at night there was traffic noise, especially from loud motorcycles. It was a Saturday night so it may be less noisy during the week.
- Mark (9/5): Good value but owner is not engaged. Just in the business for the money. It shows. Nicole is a great asset to the team - Good location, excellent breakfasts, very clean Owner has not greeted us the last three times we were there. Very poor. Nicole is exceptional.
- Ann (10/5): We stayed there twice and look forward to staying there again. - Nicole is an amazing person and talented cook. She made our stay perfect. It feels like your home. Wonderful homemade cookies and breakfasts. Very relaxing. Sometimes the parking can be tough
- Mike (7/5): -
- JOHN (9/5): Wonderful stay at an historic property with great amenities. - Second time visiting this property. Very nice location and amenities. Nicole served very nice breakfasts.
- Susan (9/5): - Room was very large and comfortable, hot showers large bathroom. Ambiance of entire facility was great! Very clean. Staff excellent and breakfast superb! Easy to get to and close to downtown. Not enough parking. There is plenty of parking on the street but you have to pay.
- Tim (9/5): Very charming. Nicole was a gem. - The charm. Nothing.
- Richard (7/5): Comfortable, disappointing breakfast - Decor, furniture Couldn’t get in the front door, back door was easy
- Merri (9/5): Alex was quick to respond to our needs. The premises could use a bit of spruce up, but overall great - Nicole provided an excellent breakfast at 8:30. We were fortunate to arrive early and secure one of the two parking spots. Others had to pay and park on the street.
- Ann (10/5): -
- Arden (10/5): - Beautiful inn, great location and very responsive hosts. I highly recommend! Nothing
- Karen (10/5): - Walkable in historic district and riverwalk. Attentive staff
- Brenda (10/5): Just right!! - Breakfast was delicious. I loved the bottle of wine that was available upon our afternoon African. We enjoyed a glass in the courtyard
- Dave (10/5): - Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Green Palm Inn, and Nicole was superb as our breakfast/host person!
- Daniel (10/5): - Food was delicious. Nicole was a great house manager. She cooked, cleaned and was so friendly. We really enjoyed her company . We actually invited her to sit with us as she was so nice. Stunning room. Beautifuly furnished, spotlessly clean and every amenity you could think of. We highly recommend this B&B
- Matthew (10/5): Green Palm best in Savannah - Amazing experience. The inn was very well maintained and welcoming. It was my wife and i’s first experience with a bed and breakfast and Nicole was able to provide us with an exceptional one. The breakfasts were freshly made and delicious!
- Justin (8/5): -
- John (10/5): - Loved everything. Just what you would expect from a B&B
- Elizabeth (8/5): Nice but not what I was expecting. - We went to Savannah for the 4th of July. The Inn seems a little old, but not in the historic way. The room was small.
- Maria A (10/5): -
- Ashten (10/5): - This B&B certainly lives up to that Savannah charm <3 Made our visit feel like we were home :)
- Kevin (8/5): Beautiful historic home. - Room was beautiful, spacious but very cold. AC adjusted multiple times. Heard other rooms then get hot. Had to pay for a day of parking, only 2 spots for 4 units. Breakfast was delicious.
- Denise Yvonne (8/5): - Location is good and place is quiet. Could do with less 'nik-naks'.
Bed was a bit bouncy.
Could make outside space nicer
If you like the 'inn' type accommodation it is very good
- Marc (8/5): - Breakfast was great. "free" parking was promised but only 2 spots, both taken and had to pay for street parking. Wonkey check in via phone.
- Susan (8/5): Very good - Very quaint house in a quiet neighborhood. Only 10-20 minute walk to north historic
section but on a hot humid day felt a lot longer. Breakfast was delicious. Central air was appreciated.
Communication with owner via e-mail was fast and informative. Ever since Covid, more self check in. I miss meeting the proprietors in person.
Only 2 parking spaces so had to pay for street parking.
Price was high but it is Savannah.
- Elaine (10/5): - X
- Barbara (10/5): - Property very conveniently located in Savannah, limited free parking! Breakfast was delicious and great way to start the day! Easy self check in, room was great!
- Claudia (10/5): I will be back. It was excellent - Nicole is an excellent host. Her food was delicious and she was always very attentive The light at the room could be brighter
- Janet (9/5): Superb - Quaint historic property within walking distance of most sights. Check in was seamless and the host was responsive to questions.
- Chad (8/5): Really nice - 1st time in Savannah. Parking is really more of an issue within the area not just Green Palm. Had a great time
- Melvin (10/5): - Was a wonderful experience. Nicole, the hostess, was extremely nice.
- Olga (9/5): Great experience - The house, the room, the breakfast The absence of a host at all times.
- Laura (8/5): - Very nice B&B. Breakfast very good. Breakfast server was very nice.
Did not see manager during our entire stay. No one to great us when we arrived or give some general orientation to surrounding area. Self check in was easy but really missed the personal touch. Also, lighting in room could have used more light, especially over chairs.
- Cyndi (8/5): - The reason I didn't give this property 5 stars is because the entry, both front and rear, need to be redone, both for aesthetic purposes and the steps aren't standard height, making access precarious for anyone with balance issues. There were two women screaming at each other outside during one night, but that may have been because we were there at graduation time. We felt very safe when walking during the day.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for everything inside, from decor to comfort to delicious breakfasts prepared by Nicole, who was very friendly. We were able to get one of the free parking spaces behind the B&B, so we didn't have to pay the $12 daily rate for street parking.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for convenience and walkability. We walked to do a historic tour (highly recommend Savannah True History Tours), River Street with tons of dining options (highly recommend The Boar's Head Restaurant) and shopping, as well as City Market where all the action is. Even Forsyth Park (gorgeous and safe during the day) is within walking distance with comfortable shoes.
I recommend The Green Palm Inn and would stay there again.
- Frisby (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (10/5): The Green Palm Inn is perfectly charming! - Breakfast and snacks were delicious. They did a great job catering to my companion's dietary needs. It was great to relax with tea and a glass of wine at the end of the, too. Everything was perfect.
- Cristy (6/5): Pleasant - The decor, the food, the location Small bathroom towels, no in person greeting, broken jetted tub, freezing room, better upkeep of property needed.
- Pamela (10/5): - This is a very well kept B &B that offers a delicious breakfast. The rooms are neat, clean, and comfortable. Nicole, who makes breakfast and cares for the rooms, is friendly and quickly responsive to requests. The location is fantastic, surrounded by old homes, some from the 1700s, in the historic district and just a couple blocks off a square. I greatly enjoyed my stay here and walking around the neighborhood.
- Daniel (10/5): - Wonderful!
- gary (8/5): - Your comments about parking to bad. Only 2 of 4 people get parking U need to state that. If u use street parking, tell us its pay. Suggest u get rid of the area out back with an uncovered table and make it parking. U would still have a covered outside area plus another park spot.
- Scott (8/5): - This is a 5 star bnb as far as the house and staff go. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. It is only a couple house from a major intersection and due to the age of the windows and home there is little to insulate from the loud cars and motorcycles. I would assume this is less of an issue with rooms on back of house and only a problem on Friday and Saturday nights for the most part. We’d love to come back but would skip a busy travel weekend.
- Randy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christy (10/5): - Excellent establishment, kind staff, great food and breakfast service. Clean and nice, cute outdoor area. Would stay again! Love this little B&B.
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved our stay here! Our room was extremely clean and well-kept. We were very comfortable and relaxed! Nicole did a fabulous job hosting us. The breakfast was delicious and offered a different selection every day! You also can't beat the location within walking distance to so many restaurants and attractions. There are also easy and free busses nearby to take you to other parts of the city. I would love to stay here again!
- Tammy (10/5): A gem of a Bed and Breakfast! Definitely would stay there again! - The location of the Green Palm Inn was excellent. Almost everything we wanted to see and do were within walking distance. A plus was that it was located in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood. We stayed in the Sabal Palm Suite which was quite large and absolutely gorgeous! The hostess/chef of the facility, Nicole was wonderful! She was very warm, friendly and welcoming. Her talents as a chef were impeccable, her breakfasts were amazing!
- Daniel (10/5): 👍Green Palm Inn-Savanna 👍 - The Green Palm Inn was a wonderful place to stay. They were very welcoming and made you feel at home. The building is beautiful and well maintained. The breakfast that Alex cooked on Saturday and Sunday was delicious. E loved the fresh cookies, candy, wine and coffee that were available.
- Paul (9/5): Comfortable and convenient. - The was large and comfortable plus the breakfast was outstanding.
- Manuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yvonne (5/5): Pretty disappointing, but not terrible - Breakfast was pretty good First of all
As soon as I walked up to the door and looked at the mailbox that was covered in dirt, I was disgusted
The whole porch was really dirty
Upon entering the house looked very dated and kind of drab, nothing like the pictures or I would’ve never booked it
- Shannon (7/5): Pleasant enough place. - Parking was available. Pretty. No proper lighting anywhere. We couldn’t read upstairs or downstairs. No railing on upper part of stairs. Bed is too high. Pretty far to walk for dinner. We skipped breakfast because I couldn’t even get a slice of toast instead as I got food poisoning the night before from dinner. I would think that would be a basic item.
- Cherise (9/5): Superb - Beautiful property. Loved parking and location. Comfortable, clean and beautiful room. Delicious breakfast. Would have liked more variety with breakfast, as we stayed 4 nights. And, would have liked access to ice. All in all very beautiful stay.
- Donoghue (10/5): Like a beautiful step back in time. Breakfast was delicious! -
- Katherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julian (9/5): Charming B&B in great location - Location, nice old fashioned interior, breakfast Room rather small
- Carol (10/5): Exceptional -
- JODI (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay at the Green Palm Inn. The location was perfect and the breakfast was delicious.
- William (4/5): - We arived late and the self check in was easy, but when we got to our room things went downhill.
Several light bulbs were burned out. The remote to the light and fan was on the floor brocken which made it almost impossible to operate. We we the only guests and should have been offered another room but that never happened. Very dissapointed and definitely not worth the price.
- James (10/5): Perfect little BnB - Excellent location, clean room and amazing breakfast. 10/10!
- Pat (10/5): Fantastic!! - The room was beautiful and the bed was extremely comfortable! The limited parking is a little tricky.
- Ronnie (9/5): It was easy to get around in the historic district because of the Inn's location. - Breakfast was amazing. The added touches Location was great, easy to get to trolley and to walk the northern historic district Roku tv options were hard to figure out. It would be great if there were outlets for USB connections.
- Cynthia (10/5): Exceptional - This was my second stay at the Green Palm Inn and my husband's first stay. We love everything about staying here! Nicole is so welcoming, friendly, and such a great cook! Breakfast is always delicious! I love the quiet, cozy atmosphere of the inn and enjoy visiting with other guests over breakfast. I love that the inn is historical and decorated appropriately for the period. It is very clean as well. You absolutely cannot beat the location. We never moved our car after arriving for our three night stay. It is an easy 15 minute walk to the river, to Jones Street, to the Market, etc. I will always stay at the Green Palm Inn when visiting Savannah! There was nothing I did not like.
- Dana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liz (9/5): Superb -
- Todd (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was fabulous. Nicole was kind, personable and there to make the stay enjoyable. Bathroom could use a shelf by the sink.
- Gabriel (8/5): - Overall a very nice place. The bathroom was small specially the shower.
- Clay (9/5): Superb -
- John (6/5): is this a worrying trend in bnb's ? - location, Nicole was very helpful. we didn't see our innkeeper the whole stay, just a key pad entry. part of the attraction of BnB for us over several US road trips is a welcoming innkeeper full of info what to do and see. we might as well have stayed in a hotel.
it may seem convenient to install a keypad and save a job, but eliminating the personal touch is not a smart move in my opinion. hotels are similarly priced.
- Melinda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Location and breakfasts prepared by Nicole N/A
- Michelle (10/5): 10 stars - Beautiful historic B&B. Bed was very comfortable. Lines were great. Ambiance perfect.Breakfast each day was epic!!!. Definitely the best meals we had during our entire vacation! Our host was everything you could want and none of the things you don’t want. I will stay again… in a heartbeat! Thank you for a memorable anniversary vacation. Nada
- Lisa (9/5): Superb -
- Fred (10/5): Great stay - Nicole did a wonderful job with breakfast, housekeeping, and other amenities (coffee bar, wine, etc)
- Lucille (10/5): - A gorgeous old home that felt comfortable. The furnishings were beautiful. The king size poster bed was very comfortable. The bathroom is big but no room to put your toiletries. And I was disappointed that the jetted tub was not working. Breakfast was delicious every day. When we returned to our room after going to town our room was spotless. So refreshing to see a nice clean room. I would definitely stay here again. It is within walking distance of all the sites in Savannah. A wonderful place to stay.
- Camila (10/5): Best breakfast ever made by chef Nicole!!! - It felt like home!
Walkable and easy access to downtown district.
The property was spotless clean, comfortable bed and quiet location. Hotel has only 2 spots available for parking.
You can park on the street in front of the property. It costs $12.00 per day.
- David (8/5): - Like location
- Pradeep (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keith (10/5): - 3 day stay in Savannah. The Green Palm Inn was excellent, centrally located and provided a warm welcome and a great breakfast everyday. We would highly recommend it as a perfect venue, close to everything and with a real southern comfort feel!
- Elaine (5/5): While the house was beautifully furnished with period antiques, the facilities structure, especially the bathroom was no - Historic furnishings, great breakfasts, helpful advise from friendly staff Air conditioner broke down, shower did not work properly, toilet dripped
- Celina (8/5): Very good - Excellent! Parking
- Cynthia (10/5): Exceptional - The inn is beautiful, clean, and our room was fabulous! Nicole was super friendly and a great cook! We enjoyed each breakfast and visiting with other guests while we ate. The location was perfect. We were able to walk to River Street and City Market in 15-20 minutes. I hope to stay at the inn again. Check in and check out procedures are easy. There was nothing that we did not like. Everything was great!
