Guest Reviews
- Dave (10/5): Definitely will come back. - This place is so cool.We loved everything! I wish I could have toured all the cabooses because it’s was so well done.
- Westerman (7/5): A nice surprise compared to standard hotels and I will come back. - Novelty. The ceiling light did not work and there was no one to report this too. This made the stay a little bit less comfortable. Had to use a flashlight to read my book. The side lights were good, but I really would’ve liked to have a ceiling light.
- Marti Blalock (10/5): -
- Tamera (9/5): loved it - This is a super fun place. Well taken care of and incredibly creative. Loved it. I found the instructions for managing the heating/cooling to be difficult to follow.
- Suzanne (8/5): -
- David (8/5): -
- David (10/5): -
- Jaymie (8/5): Relaxing - I wish there were some utensils that's the only thing I can think of.
- Mitch (10/5): -
- Sandra (10/5): Unique, fun stay. - Great stay.. unique experience. Well run .
- Dawn (10/5): Definitely recommend! - The property is beautiful and the train car we stayed in was nicely decorated & comfy! Nothing
- Erin (9/5): - Cozy, unique decor. Claw foot tub was amazing!
- van otten (10/5): -
- Nancy (10/5): -
- Kevin (8/5): It was worth the experience and it was a good value. - Very cool experience. If noise bothers you might want to bring a sound machine. The frogs are very loud. The caboose we stayed in had gaps around the doors so don’t turn the heat down at night.
- Debbie (10/5): - Very unique, comfortable and clean. Cute setup inside and out. Very affordable, pet friendly, would definitely stay here again! Closets a little tight but not a big deal
- Jason (10/5): - Very well appointed interior, relaxing and cozy. Beautiful deco and the game room was outstanding! We had an amazing time
- JENNY (10/5): -
- Maria (10/5): Quiet, cute and comfy! - Beautiful location! The caboose was cozy! Communication with management was easy and they respond quickly! The property is clean and quiet....aside from the ducks that live under the caboose...lol...which we didn't mind :)
The laundry room came in handy after we got wet in the ocean :) No microwave in the unit. But that wasn't a big deal since there's a microwave in the lounge, which is just a few feet from the room. I really can't think of anything negative to say about this place.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Amazing! 100% recommend - I love these trains so much! It's amazing the amount of work on the details there are. We stayed at the steampunk one during our honeymoon and the Harry Potter one earlier this week. 100% recommend to everyone!! The beds are super super comfy I want one in my own home! So worth everything you spend it's so amazing! I can't wait to see the next train we pick! There's nothing
- Carrie (10/5): Excellent just be ready to climb a very skinny staircase! -
- Jackie (10/5): Loved it! - Ridiculously cute! We loved our stay, it was super clean and comfortable. Highly recommend it. Amazing attention to detail. Great to have coffee supplied in the room. Beautiful guide book with suggestions for dining and activities in the area Nothing
- Robert (10/5): - Very fun accommodations!
We're going to bring all of our friends for a weekend stay.
- JENNY (10/5): Very fun stay loved the themed trains. - Clean and quiet
- Bailee (8/5): -
- Kailey (9/5): -
- Timothy (10/5): Stayed for just one night, part of my wife’s birthday. Really enjoyed the jetted sidling tub, and the bed was quite comf - Very quiet! You hardly even know there are other guests staying at the property. Although the cars aren’t that far from each other, it is easy enough to forget others are there. Makes it feel way more secluded and private than it actually is. The game room located in the “common area” was supposed to be accessible using pass same code used to access rail car we rented. Made several attempts to unlock it, but it didn’t work. Wasn’t a big deal, as we were just exploring and looking around. We didn’t intend on using the games or laundry, which I guess was a good thing.
- Ka-ren (1/5): -
- Christine (9/5): - It was surprisingly clean and easy check in The front steps were very icy
- Elaine (9/5): Interesting, fun & a bit different. Would recommend! - Very cute, nice clean property. Loved the detail to authenticate the ambiance. Staff was relatively responsive considering the off site situation. Small fridge. Nice area for walking our dog. Good WiFi, good parking. Good pressure & hot water in shower. Staff offsite. No microwave.
- Chelsea (10/5): -
- Lev (10/5): -
- Emily (9/5): Would go again and we plan to! Very fun! - The decor was excellent and such a comfortable stay!! Loved the experience. The jets didn’t work in the tub and the electric fireplace didn’t work either.
- Lori (10/5): Perfect for our stay for the Lavender festival - Unique
- Mark (10/5): -
- Jeanette (10/5): Our Wild Wild West experience in Sequim WA! - Our railroad car was "The Wild West" my husband and I had a wonderful trip to Sequim over the 4th. Watched a spectacular view of the 4th of July fireworks 🎆 from the inside top of the car where the former railroad employees would sit long ago. The history and imagining what it would have been like to be in this era was available to watch and read about! John Wayne was right there with us:) perfect little pond in the center of the property was so peaceful. We watched the ducks and the birds.
Very very clean and tidy! Perfect trip! Wouldn't change a thing! Perfect 4th of July getaway ✨️
- MARI (10/5): A very nice place to stay to for a personal getaway. - As a train buff, I liked the idea of staying in a caboose, as I have fantasized about living in one most of my life. The Casino Royale one was comfortable and the bed was especially so. I will definitely pass on my experience to my friends and family. Nothing comes to mind at the moment.
- Rhonda (9/5): It was a quiet and peaceful experience. - It was a unique and private experience. That there wasn’t a shower. There was a handheld wand but I was afraid of getting water everywhere.
- Lisa (10/5): - Amazing detail in the decor. we stayed in the Royal Casino Caboose and loved it.
- Kylie (9/5): -
- Monica (10/5): -
- sharon (10/5): Stay here for sonething different - This is the second year I have visited the railroad motel. I love the interior of the caboose. It has so many cute touches. The room is clean and comfortable. Staying here makes for a memorable night’s stay!
- Amie (10/5): -
- Dana (10/5): -
- Judd (10/5): Fun, charming, different experience for a wonderful value.. - I loved the cozy charm and the large old-time bathtub. I liked how good of a value it was. The internet was weak and the TV wouldn't work properly.
- Jon (10/5): Fun place to visit - The train car we chose was decorated beautifully. Loved the steampunk decor.
- Michael (10/5): Spacious space, creative decor, comfortable, good value-fun - Size, comfort of bed, decor. N/A
- Rous Hanson (9/5): Great, private, intimate place! - It was great staying in a caboose renovated into a comfortable, secure, and private place to stay the weekend. The price was excellent and the lack of people made it intimate. The only thing slightly bad was the way we had to walk around the bed hurt our knees.
- Janiece (6/5): I hope to see upgrades when I return for my next visit. - It was easy to find and very cute. Very insufficient outdoor lighting!
I didn’t like it that there was no privacy once you were inside. Sorta a bit in the restroom. But none with the shower. Nothing dividing the view of the shower.
- Patricia (8/5): - It had character It took me awhile to figure it out. It would be good to have a welcome with directions on heating, . There was no comfortable chair.
- Hunt (10/5): -
- Rainer (9/5): -
- Stuart (10/5): - The train cars were adorable and my kids loved the themes!
- Allison (10/5): Amazing stay - I would stay at this property forever if I could. Central yet quiet location, super clean, comfortable, and so adorable. Other train renters leaving their outside lights on overnight- but I am aware I am crazy picky about it being pitch dark.
- Bradly (8/5): -
- Cindy (9/5): -
- karen (10/5): - The room was steam punk it was so cute. Very clean and close to Olympic National Park.
- Rob & Andrea (10/5): - This place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! SOOOO COOL! Incredibly creative & such attention to detail!! Can’t believe this is a railway car!! 😳
- Ravi (10/5): Great place to stay in Sequim - Whimsical We decided to do a weekend getaway and decided on Sequim on a whim. The Olympic Railway Inn was intriguing and we decided to try it out. Only one caboose - The Whizard - was available. If you’re a Harry Potter fan or just interested in wizardry and stuff like that, this is the place for you. We loved our stay so much that we’ve decided to try all the other cabooses on that property over the next several years
- Mike (8/5): - Fun and different to stay in a caboose.
- Ryan (10/5): - Awesome converted train car into a hotel room. Everything was super cool and wish I had more time because I would have stayed another night!
- Ross (10/5): Great concept but also a super-comfortable stay. Recommended. - There is not breakfast at this location. But the coffee machine worked well, and the fridge and microwave helped with that. No complaints. This was a very interesting property (obviously), but it was also super-comfortable. The really large tub was a nice addition.
- Pamela (10/5): - Staying in a railway car is a very unique experience. Each car is decorated in a different theme; ours was the Orient Express. It was quiet and well appointed with a deep jet tub, glass-walled shower and a small kitchenette.
- Sheryl (8/5): - Very unique place. All of the rooms are cabooses. Each is very private. Clean. The only bad thing is that the mattress in steampunk needs to be replaced as it says really bad. I had to sleep with my head at the foot of bed
- Kara (10/5): - Coolest hotel we've ever stayed at! Easy to find, super easy check in and such a neat space. Lots of little details (lights left on, music playing and bowl of fruit!) upon check in. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great stay
- Stephen (6/5): cute but not so comy - very cute concept. great novelty factor compared to just a regular hotel.
only big complaint is the bed was uncomfortable… too firm, kept
waking up with a numb hip.
was fun for one night, definitely wouldn’t stay longer than that because of the mattress.
- David Joel (10/5): - Very unique property. Excellent technology. Tired of the same old same old, then you must try this beautifully designed caboose. Made me smile. Viva Las Vegas at the Casino Royal caboose.
- Yuko (7/5): -
- Peyton (10/5): - We loved our little slice of Las Vegas. The tub was amazing and much needed after a day of driving. The theme was on point, with dice, cards, and even a “stack of cash”. Would definitely recommend!
- Taylor (8/5): - This is a cool stay. The rail cars are a unique experience. Before you stay you need to be aware that since it is a rail car it is a unique room setup. We found it to be a comfortable and entertaining stay. One thing to note is the only place to sit and eat is outside. Which is great if the weather is nice.
Coffee and tea in the room. Bathtub was clean and spacious.
The property is cool with fruit trees and berries around the property. A small pond full of ducks in the middle. We took a short walk and my wife picked some pears to eat.
Close to town for some food options and other needs.
We slept well as it was a quiet area. It worked great for our needs. We would definitely stay again.
- barbara (10/5): - This place is so fun. The attention to detail is off the chart. I brought duck food for the ducks. I highly recommend this place
- LENA (10/5): - The whole concept and I loved the soaker tub Nothing could be better
- DENNIS (10/5): A must do experience. Will stay again! - A totally different experience for us. We chose the "Steampunk" room because it had a shower. Was very impressed with the decor and how they fit everything in train caboose. Clean (spotless) and very quiet. You will have to experience it to best appreciate what they have done. Nothing, all good.
- Kim (4/5): - The location
- Jay (10/5): - Very nice stay! Quite and relaxing!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fun theme! - Loved to casino theme ! Very clean, fun, quiet and comfortable ! Would stay again !
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Stay – Clean, Comfortable, and Quiet - My wife and I spent three nights at Wild West #3 and were very satisfied with our stay. The rail car was renovated and decorated nicely - it was clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—perfect for a restful night’s sleep. The air conditioning and heating worked flawlessly, keeping the room at a pleasant temperature throughout our visit.
One small quirk was the toilet being located in a very tight closet-like space. It was manageable for us, but taller or larger guests might find it a bit cramped. I also would have preferred a walk-in shower instead of a bathtub, though that was just a minor inconvenience.
The Wi-Fi was a little spotty at times, but again, nothing that significantly impacted our experience.
Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return. The comfort and cleanliness made it a relaxing and enjoyable visit.
- Christopher (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay here - the beds were comfortable, it was clean, it had all the amenities listed, and the location was perfect for what we needed. Very unique stay, and it was a fun experience.
- Tony (10/5): - Quiet.Very clean .The jacuzzi bath was the icing on the cake! Well designed and appointed. Surprised on the spaciousness! We were very comfortable. The Lavender Car was my favorite!
- Tellez (8/5): - Novelty, decor & was quiet. Was much nicer than a hotel or motel. Refrigerator was noisy.
- Jenny (10/5): - This property was unique and the best available option in this area by far. 5 stars all around. The property was very clean and had anticipated our every need. We even saw ducks and deer on the property. Very private and so fun.
- Ciara (10/5): - Wonderful getaway, per friendly! Listening to the frogs by the little pond at night was so peaceful
- Amber (8/5): Intended for couples not kids - Our train was cute and cozy, but not intended for families or friends traveling together, as there was no door or screen to block the bathtub, which was the only option, as there wasn’t a shower. I was on vacation with my mom and son, so We hung a sheet for privacy. There also wasn’t a microwave, which was disappointing or even a table to eat or play games at. I was also expecting a fire pit, but there wasn’t one. It was interesting and different, but I enjoy a few extra amenities that seem common in the majority of places I’ve stayed at.
- Jolene (10/5): - Super cute place, very clean and hosts were awesome.
- BRIANA (9/5): -
- Elizabeth (9/5): - I love the themes in each caboose, I really enjoy the peaceful and quiet My caboose boI de were broken I had to put a towel to fret some privacy
I was surprised it was not fixed from the last time I was there ( Lavender)
- Michael (10/5): -
- Elizabeth (8/5): I love the Olympic Inn the unique caboose keep bringing me back - I stayed in almost every caboose my very favorite is “Lavander “ but there are all unique I stayed at the Lavander and I notice the blinders were not working well and perhaps need it to be replace they seem old and cheap .
Luther than that everything was great and as expected
- Jeb (8/5): Quaint - This is a caboose so it is not very large but it was adequate. This one has a Western theme and even had some DVDs of old Western movies that you can watch.
The only downside to this place is the toilet stall. It had a slight peppermint smell to it when you stepped in but it wasn't over powering, but if you need to stand to wipe your back side you will need to step out of the toilet stall.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - Interesting place to stay. Not your usual hotel! But my caboose lacked a shower because it had a beautiful claw foot tub. The temperature controls on the HVAC were not understandable. The caboose’s theme was well done. Comfortable bed and the unique aspects of the place outweighed any inconvenience.
- Tina (8/5): -
- Susan (9/5): Nice relaxing and very quiet stay - Fun and interesting, best bathtub ever No microwave
- Michael (10/5): - The room/train car was excellent! A fun and unique experience.
- Tory (10/5): - The room had everything we needed and was perfect. Highly recommend!
- Becky (8/5): - A unique property with excellent additional facilities (free laundry and dryer) and landscaped grounds.
- Tahne (9/5): Superb -
- Salleezee (10/5): Exceptional - Charming, uniquely decorated, quiet, walkable to restaurant & park. Staff was very sweet, happy and helpful
- Richard (9/5): We would stay again! - Everything surpassed our expectations. The inside decor was stunning. The lock on the front door is confusing. The lock on the bathroom really needs attention. Please add couple extra blankets in chest it was cold last night. The shade by the record player didn’t close. Oh the coffee pot did not work corrrct! After using many kueirigs this one was not user friendly. We waited like 10 minutes to get it to work but still we thought the caboose, decor and very idea was just wonderful.
- Durfee (7/5): Good - I loved the idea and it was cute. We couldn't get the couch bed to open so the couch closed was a bit uncomfortable and small for my grandson. We ended up going home instead of staying. The bed seemed very comfortable and it would have been ok for two of us but not the couch. Not good for the third person.
- Michael (7/5): Wouldn’t stay again or recommend it to others. - Unique. The blinds wouldn’t stay closed. Step up to the bathroom had no yellow or red tape showing the hazard.
