Lara (8/5): Excellent staff. Perfect location. - The location near Liverpool Street Station was excellent but also having a Marks & Spencer with a Food Hall next to the hotel was perfect. The staff were lovely and extremely helpful. It was clean and the hotel room staff do an excellent job - nothing is a problem. The amenities are also very good - including the tea & coffee offerings in the rooms, fresh fruit on arrival, spring water, slippers and toiletries, and there is a gym. It was very dark everywhere so it was hard to see in the rooms with such dim lighting. I luckily had a small travel torch. The decor in terms of the desk and side tables in the rooms were very tired (chipped/scratched etc) and the carpet was stained in places but it was not dirty. The bath-shower is very high if you are short, elderly or have any mobility issues. If not for these things I would have given it a 10/10.

If you're traveling for business it has everything you need, but with smart trendy vibes. This was my third stay. Highly recommend.

Being within walking distance of Liverpool Street Station, a major transport hub, makes traveling to Stansted Airport direct and effortless. Additionally, the nearby Moorgate underground station provides easy access to key city locations via the Elizabeth Line. There are plenty of shopping and dining options surrounding the hotel to cater to all your needs. The hotel features modern interior and exterior architecture. The rooms are furnished with an aesthetic touch and equipped with high-quality brands, including Bang & Olufsen LED TVs (no smart features), Smeg coffee machines, Dyson hairdryers, and Tefal irons and ironing boards. Please note that a daily deposit of £125 is charged to your card upon arrival due to the extensive minibar selection. ruthdD3287FN (8/5): Lovely Hotel - Hotel extremely clean. We got a bottle of champagne in the room which was in the package. There was coffee and tea free. Room was nice, modern and decorated to high spec. The tables looked a bit shabby. Bed was really comfortable. I think it was a super king so loads of room. Huge bath, however we couldn’t manage to get hot water just tepid. My partner rang reception at 10 pm but we never got a call back. The room was too hot for me. Lowest air con went to was 18.5. Breakfast was tasty. Great location. Walk to Sky Garden.

Bar was really nice, all stuff were friendly and attentive and the hotel room itself was fantastic! I'd like to give a special thanks to the front desk team for helping me out after my departure. I'd lost one of my earbuds and they went above and beyond in helping me find it (it was found). Thank you again Daria and Anhelina for your assistance, brilliant customer service and beaming smiles! Will definitely be back again soon.

The reason we are giving our stay 5 stars is thanks to the skill, ingenuity and thoughtfulness of Anhelina. All the staff we met were excellent but we must single out Anhelina for resolving the issues so effectively, thank you.

scottgeorge (6/5): In need of some maintenance - We stayed here this last weekend and its an ok hotel but seems in desperate need of some TLC. We'd called through the day before about an early check in and was told they were able to confirm a room for 12 100% so we arrived at that time to be told no early check in available - this wouldn't have bothered me if they hadn't explicitly promised the day before - once raised as an issue amazingly they they found a room free... We then ate lunch downstairs, service was awful and the food was very average! My wife waited more than 20 minutes for a coffee and our waiter had a body odour issue. The room itself looked fine, but it doesn't take long to realise its run down, the shower head was mostly clogged, the air con was very noisy and the electronic blind was excruciatingly noisy and slow. Check out was quick and simple or so i thought until i got home and realised they had charged me twice which i had to contact them about. Overall disappointing and doubt i would return.

Edwin (6/5): Pleasant but we will not be rushing back - The room was lovely, modern and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with a good variety of options. Location is great for us as we use Liverpool Street Station which is a 5 minute walk away. As a hotel your priority should be your guests that are staying with you. Both the main bars had been hired out for private events and at no time prior to our stay were we alerted to this fact. We wanted a drink in the hotel and to sit as a family of adults as we were celebrating a birthday but were informed room service could only be ordered. On complaining about this, we were told we could use the restaurant bar on the 07th floor which wasn’t ideal given it’s right by the lavatory so people kept walking through. Additionally our bedroom had an open bathroom and due to this there are 7 emergency lights that do not go off and are quite bright in the room. Someone did come up and look, and said that is brighter than they thought they would and should be. On check out I spoke about these issues and mentioned I had had one drink from the mini bar. the receptionist said sorry for the problems, she would inform maintenance about the lights and the drink would be added to our final invoice - I rolled my eyes and left.

The hotel itself is stunning, modern, elegant, and perfectly located right in the heart of the city. Our room was incredible: beautifully designed, comfortable, and full of thoughtful touches that made the experience feel special. A huge thank you to the amazing staff who made our stay so memorable. Naomi helped me with the booking and made sure everything went smoothly before our arrival. When we checked in, Daria, Simona, and Ellie welcomed us with big smiles and even offered welcome drinks, such a lovely gesture! Luca, the reception manager, also came out personally to greet us, which truly showed the warmth and care of the whole team. Shout-out to the night team, Roshan, Kevin, and Tanveer for patiently answering all my questions (from breakfast details to minibar items!). Their kindness and professionalism really stood out. Breakfast the next morning was delicious, with great service and an amazing team making sure everything was perfect. Lastly, thank you to Aawase and Elisa at reception for helping with our check-out and invoice, and for kindly offering to assist with our luggage. Every interaction throughout our stay was filled with genuine hospitality and attention to detail. Thank you so much, South Place Hotel, we will definitely be coming back!

Saminusa_12 (10/5): A London Favorite/Favourite - I have stayed at South Place multiple times over the last 10 - 15 years. It is in an ideal location close to a transportation hub which makes it very easy to get around London and the surrounding suburbs. On this stay we were upgraded to a junior suite. All of the rooms are thoughtfully designed with great amenities. Plenty of wardrobe space, updated hairdryers, glassware, Nespresso machine, kettle, and complimentary water. Only thing I would prefer is a free standing make up mirror as opposed to it being fixed in the bathroom but that's just a personal choice. Housekeeping do a great job and rooms are actually cleaned everyday as opposed to other places I have stayed where they just make the bed and refresh towels. Comfortable bed, blackout shades and city windows make for a very peaceful nights sleep. We did not eat dinner in the Bluebird City as didn't love the menu. We did try to have breakfast one day which they say is until 11:00am but apparently last orders are at 10:45am so at 10:46am we were SOL. Would be good if they stated that somewhere. Every member of staff we encountered was extremely helpful and went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

When we checked out, we were told we would receive this by email. As far as I remember the same thing happened the last time we stayed here. I don’t think we were overcharged but I still expect to receive a bill.

Gym was great and sauna/stream room were really nice. But what really sets this hotel apart is the customer service. Elisa, Simona and Daria at the front desk were so accommodating and attentive to my every request, and exuded professionalism and good cheer. I will definitely recommend this hotel to colleagues for future visits.

Alice_Fuller (8/5): Stylish, comfortable, modern - Excellent high-end hotel nestled in Liverpool St area of London. With the Broadgate Circle development there’s loads to do (restaurants, bars, shops) within a few minutes, as well as everything the City and Shoreditch has to offer. The room was very comfortable, with an excellent bed, good lighting, mini bar (incl. good teabgs!) and a well-equipped bathroom. I also enjoyed the spaces downstairs, including some fabulous cocktails in the bar, and a delicious duck salad for lunch. Staff were helpful and professional throughout. My husband stayed here on another occasion and rated it highly too. There’s only one downside for which I have deducted one star: I was disappointed at check-out to discover SPH have adopted the practice of adding an “optional” service charge. I paid it, but I would much prefer the hotel incorporate it into advertised rates. Paying staff properly isn’t optional, and responsibility for this shouldn’t be transferred to guests. Staff’s take-home pay ought to be consistent, and not dependent on the generosity of guests in any particular month.
Glen (5/5): Great location, wish the hotel was better - good location, room was a decent size, good breakfast, friendly staff Main entrance that has the sign - south place hotel actually leads you to the resturant and to get to the reception you need to use another door that is signposted for something else - odd then £406 for a double room on a weekday is excessive for a hotel that would be classed as a 4 star hotel. Room has visible damage, TV had 3 channels that worked, and the only radio that i could get was radio one. Silly touch buttons for light switches, bright light on the phone that you cannot turn off, just all round odd.
