• Schmidt (8/5): - The grounds are beautiful and cozy. Open fires make it fun with s'mores fixings provided. The rooms are nice and clean. Our room was right next to the road which was very loud and the bed was firm which made for a lot of tossing a turning at night.

• Levine (9/5): We loved our last minute, weekend stay at the Inn, which brings the attentive detail and personality of a well-cared for - Well cared for with loving, quirky details, right on the water with access to the beach without having to walk along the road, stores, the movie theater, and other conveniences right next door. Family run by a lovely family. Some rooms are right on the road (but that is factored into price).

Better attention to detail would have been nice - we requested a room for three and there were inly two towels on check in. The heater was off and the rooms were ice cold on check in and the one heater in the living room took a long time to heat up the bedroom.

• V604YQrachaels (10/5): The BEST Wedding Venue! - The Inn on the Russian River was absolute PERFECTION for our wedding. Stunning river backdrop, beautiful river dock, amazing willow and redwood trees, immaculate shaded seclusion, plenty of space for all of our guests. We literally could not have asked for more. Monte Rio is a place that holds so many memories, and is so special to us. As our yearly space and time for river activities amongst the redwoods with our family and doggos, it was the clear choice when we were trying to find the best bay area accessible river/forest location for our wedding. Then when we toured the Inn, we just knew that the magically natural vibes were EXACTLY what we were looking for, and so we built everything else around it! Leonora, Cassidy, and Sarah were all so helpful and so supportive throughout the entire process. We loved that they were able to provide the grounds as a beautifully maintained and designed by nature blank space, and that we could then add anything and everything that we wanted to to bring our dream wedding to life. With 11 beautiful rooms to hold our family, bridal party, and ring bearer doggos; and all of the gorgeous airbnb and hotels available in the direct area for the rest of our guests, it was just a no brainer. It was so nice to be able to have our friends and families from across the country and the globe come out to celebrate with us, and then to have them be able to plan more extended vacations with their families to tour the redwoods, the coast, and the wine country that surrounded us there. It was just perfection. We could not have asked for more. Thank you Leonora, Cassidy, and Sarah for helping make our wedding dreams come true!

• Anthony (10/5): Russian River Delight - Very friendly proprietor and staff. Lovely garden area with picnic tables, grills, fire pits and more overlooking the river. Such a beautiful view. Cozy rooms with good amenities, and only a short drive away to restaurants, shops and attractions. Would certainly stay again.

• L (10/5): Exceptional - Sarah at Reception was exceptional. She welcomed us warmly, and I called her before we arrived to confirm the location. She gave us a tour of the beautiful property and made popcorn for us. I wish we could have stayed longer. Sarah also checked in on us twice to be sure we had everything we needed. A 10 minute drive to town. Would have preferred to be walkable into town. But the property is so lovely, it's a great place to really relax and unwind. Directly on the river.
• Shabnam (8/5): - It is a charming hotel with an amazing view .. it is just that rooms are different and when you are reserving it , you are reserving that room (we didn’t know this but then when I looked at my reservation I saw I actually booked a specific room) For our room, we had a kitchen with sink and oven-toaster and mid size fridge but that made our bathroom very very small .. this was room 2

• 187graceo (10/5): 10 / 10 would book again - Clean, charming, quiet inn by the river. The front office is very helpful, and the property is gorgeous. Lots of communal spaces to gather around a firepit, of sit on the dock by the river. I had originally booked somewhere else and that inn was just not up to standard. I was much much happier with my stay here. They also provide a binder of food and activities in the surrounding areas organized by driving time which i found extremely helpful.
• trisha (10/5): Clean and Cozy - I have been coming to this part of the Russian River for well over a decade. I had stayed here at this very property many years ago while under its previous ownership. It will now be on my list of go to spots to stay. The upgrades that the current owner has done are tasteful and modern while still holding on to the areas rustic charm. The pet friendly room I stayed in was immaculately clean. The proximity to the river can’t be beat and comes in handy when traveling with a dog. Cassidy, the manager was attentive and friendly from the time I booked the reservation. I am so happy I tried this place out again. Can’t wait to plan my next visit.

• CA_wanderer60 (10/5): Fall getaway in Russian River wine country! - Spent Thanksgiving week enjoying one of the studio apartment rooms at the Inn On The Russian River. First major rainstorm of the season came through just before we arrived, causing the river to rise over its banks. But the Inn is on high ground and was not directly impacted. Very friendly staff and innkeepers. Comfortable king bed with warm comforters and blankets, good variety of pillows. Electric "wood burning" stove was quiet and heated the room quickly. Kitchen has refrigerator/freezer, stove and small oven as well as toaster and microwave. Cuisinart drip coffee maker with supplies. We enjoyed cooking some simple meals as there were a few pots, frying pans, basic utensils and dishes. Could use the addition of a salad bowl, chef's knife and bread knife, and a separate cutting board. Dish soap, dish drainer & sponge were provided. Beautiful area to visit: Armstrong Woods and drive to Jenner on the coast were amazing. Fun to visit the stores & galleries in Guerneville, Sebastopol & Duncans Mills. Highly recommend a round at Northwood Golf Course if you like golf, just up the road and set amongst mature redwood trees. Great area to visit for wine tasting too! We enjoyed an excellent prix fixe turkey dinner at nearby Boho Manor on Thanksgiving.

The hospitality was so great, the view was amazing, the inn was so peaceful with so many gorgeous spots to sit and view the river. If you’re looking for a cozy peaceful spot to stay with plenty of woodsy views nearby, Inn on the Russian River is a great choice!

• Gawura (9/5): Great place for a large family gathering. Be mindful of seasonal river water temperatures. - Staff was very friendly. Kitchen was complete. View of the river was so nice. The magical willow tree sparkled at night. The patio is set up for comfort. Big BBQ, lanterns, tables, comfy chairs, dock to the river, chairs for your easy relaxation or an evening glass of wine. Very quiet at night as all road traffic stops. Golf course is lovely and close by. No problem finding restaurants even in shoulder season. Casual resort area with huge Redwood trees. This is an older and very well kept inn. We are tall older folks and the very low toilets were challenging.

Local Coffee and bagels in the morning are a nice addition. They have put in stairs and cleared a path to the river for easier access. Not that it can be controlled, but the noise from the road is a problem with the rooms up front.
• Kimberly (10/5): - What a cute establishment. Right on the river, easy access from The road. Our room faced the river and there was beach access with lots of seating areas. The property is is peaceful and serene. The gardens and common areas are undergoing a refresh but you wouldn’t be able to tell. Will definitely come here again.
• Ben (6/5): - The property and staff were fantastic but unfortunately due to the noise of our neighbors who were drunk we decided to leave at midnight. I would recommend the hotel and staff but if there maybe a way to reduce the room noise I think it would benefit all parties, customers and hotel.

• Kenneth (8/5): Reeeeelaxing Getaway! - We had a wonderful time lazing about at The Inn. It is casual comfort, with excellent hospitality. The new owners have been busy trying to upgrade the property, and they have many wonderful plans in the works. Our room was a tad uncomfortable, but this will be easily addressed in the future. We plan to return!

There was alot of working on property going on during the day. The innkeeper had just bought the property and was doing alot of upgrades. We planned on breakfast every morning. It was only on the weekends.

• Ana (8/5): Nice and cozy room with a comfortable bed and kitchenette. - The location was excellent and super close to Monte Rio Beach, where we spent the whole day relaxing and paddle boarding. The Inn is pet friendly and the breakfast was fabulous! I did not like that we were assigned the closest room to the road. It was noisy in the morning and at night, so we had to wear ear plugs. I was concerned for my dog's reaction, from the traffic noise, every time I opened the front door.

The rooms are spacious and overlook one of the most beautiful and intimate locals on the Russian River. Parking is safe and generous and it’s a small piece of heaven on Earth. • Robert (8/5): Great place to visit. - It was a great location, close to our goal of seeing Fort Ross. The woman who ran the place was very pleasant and helpful. The space was a bit tight for 3, but it was very workable.

I cannot wait to come back! Our dog was warmly welcomed too. The end was the most comfortable we’ve ever laid in and the kitchenette was perfect! The entire space was well thought out and I would recommend this place to everyone I know.

Nice places to sit outside The toilet in the bathroom was low, and it was hard for me to get up since my knees aren't in great shape.

Gardens are kept beautifully and there are plenty of places to lounge and enjoy views of the river. Honestly they’ve thought of every comfort and exceeded my expectations and there was nothing I didn’t like. But I will say the hotel right across the river from them played smooth jazz all. day. long. on one of the days of my stay that I could hear clearly from the Inn. (Literally from 9AM-at least 9PM.) Not the Inn on Russian River’s fault but I feel bad for all the people around that other hotel who have to listen to smooth jazz all day when they might just want to listen to the sounds of the river. :)

• Dmytro (10/5): Calm hideout on the riverside - The staff was very helpful, providing with blankets to sit on the balcony when the weather became a bit chilly. The room was very warm, dry and super clean. The morning view on the river and the foggy forest behind it was a very good addition. There is a very good coffee place just 10 minutes drive from the place if provided coffee is not enough for you. Will definitely stay again. I could hear water dripping in sewage pipes after the rain, but this is what you'd expect, when you're so close to the nature.

• Thatchh (7/5): Quaint cottage style motel with nice facilities for families in the back next to the river. - This place would be great to stay for a few days during summer. It's right on a river and has lots of facilities for eating outdoors and playing in the river. Very quaint and homey. The owner was very pleasant and helpful on the phone. There is no heat in the bedroom. It was a cold night and the bedroom was quite cool. It actually suited me fine with the heavy duvet. My wife would not have liked it. The buildings are in need of TLC. There is no AC if it's hot in the summer. May not need it in this area. I arrived in the dark and there was no porch light.
