Guest Reviews
- Chris (10/5): Most romantic weekend - This was our second visit in a few month. It’s honestly the best place to stay in the Blue Mountains. The rooms are so warm and cosy, yet incredibly clean at the same time. The staff are wonderful and breakfast was a pleasure each day. My wife was extra excited that there were electric blankets on the beds. Thank you for another great weekend. There’s nothing to dislike here. It’s the best.
- Bridget (9/5): -
- sheryn (8/5): - breakfast was very good. nothing.
- Ana Ducon Correa (10/5): - Su estilo
- Leigha (8/5): Beautiful historic stay in Katoomba - It was a lovely historic house close to everything.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Great value for money - Fantastic coffee bar Bed was a bit hard
- Robert (10/5): Comfortable stay in a fabulous location. - Daniel and Kelly the owners were welcoming and friendly. Very well kept guesthouse in a lovely location. Would highly recommend. The shower in our room was a little low but hey, I'm nitpicking.
- John (9/5): -
- Anaita (8/5): - Charming old world cottage which felt like a home. Lovely staff who go above and beyond, especially Kellie and Allie. Great touches like a decanter of port and little chocolates in the rooms. A library full of books and dvds. A good stay to just unwind, and relax. Was initially a bit grumpy bc after a long day of travel, the first room we were assigned had an abysmal shower and a weird bathroom completely dominated by a huge spa tub with a tiny hand shower that either ran scalding or freezing. Once our room was changed, I was so much happier in the cottage.
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Jack (9/5): Comfortable place, great location and historic feel - Historic feel, comfortable bed and room, good location. Room cold at first until oil heater supplied, then had to turn off and on, even on low to be comfortable. Bathroom a little small with nowhere to put your things.
- Stéphine (3/5): - Thé location is great very close to Katoomba. Overpriced- 234 dollars a night for a breakfast with frozen fruits, bad coffee, industrial cheese, very poor choice. Hotels are cheaper and offer way more in terms of choice. The Westin in Perth or Sydney , 5 stars hotel offers absolutely everything you want for breakfast, has a pool, a spa, amazing rooms and costs 280 dollars as a comparison. The room is comfortable but poorly soundproof, our neighbours were extremely noisy. The house is also quite cold. The tv size is ridiculous, almost unnecessary at this stage. We appreciate the house wants to look old, but it’s time to adapt to 2026. The personnel is nice, but nothing exceptional. The house looks authentic, but it’s not worth more than 150 dollars a night to be honest.
- Vanessa (9/5): -
- Fred (10/5): - Nice warm bed and room! Couldnt find the free to air channels on the tv
- charles (10/5): Excellent stay. - Excellent breakfast , eggs, jams, different tea's and coffee machine.
Always juice and milk in fridge.
Port in room and library. No bad comments, everything was great.
- Claudia (10/5): -
- Veronica (8/5): -
- Gerhard (10/5): The accommodation fully met my expectations. I would gladly book again anytime. - The Kurrara Historic Guest House has a wonderful atmosphere and is perfectly quiet. I felt comfortable right away. The breakfast was “only” a continental breakfast, but it was always freshly prepared and nothing was missing.
- Jennifer (10/5): Great location, friendly staff, good breakfast, clean and comfortable - Lovely historic homestead N/A
- Sheri (7/5): - Great location and cool old house Staff was 45 minutes away and willing to leave us without electricity when q breaker blew. Owner need to commit.
- Elsbeth (9/5): -
- Elizabeth (9/5): Really lovely stay in the mountains. - bedroom beautiful and very comfortable. Very helpful and friendly. Lovely quiet spot. Very close to the walking trail. Breakfast delicious. Excellent selection of tea and coffee. ensuite was small- but it is an old buil;ding.
- Hye Jung (9/5): Very friendly staff and nice decorations. - Old fashioned furnitures and pictures. Very small room and no desk to put things on. DVD was not working properly.
- Sheila (7/5): It was a decent stay. Lovely place due to its quaint decor but not everything works as it should. - Beautiful property. Very quaint and pretty. Close to Three Sisters. Staff are helpful. Short breakfast time and limited options. Electricity tripped and one night it was very cold as the radiator was not on due to the power trip. Lots of creaking noises at night as we could hear people upstairs walking.
- Stephen (10/5): -
- richard (10/5): A well located and presented property. -
- Diane (10/5): I would love to return for a longer stay here, usually i prefer to try different accommodation. - A delightful find on a last minute booking .
A beautifully presented historic guest house, friendly staff and a comfy bed with a continental breakfast . nothing
- deirdre rosler (9/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful. The house itself was beautiful. It is very close to all the major attractions in the blue mts. Nothing
- werner (10/5): -
- Margie (10/5): - Everything, the house was amazing, our room was extremely comfortable and quiet, our hosts were very friendly and engaging, breakfast was delicious, ample parking and the location was perfect. I highly recommend this beautiful guest house for you next stay in the Blue Mountains region. Having yo leave.
- PI YUN (8/5): -
- Carter (10/5): - Amazing stay, great decor and super friendly staff
- Lea (10/5): - Extremely cute and intimate experience NA
- jenjen99 (9/5): -
- Thomas (9/5): Unique B and B style stay that won't disapoint - Lovely hoteliers, beautiful atmosphere and building, great public rooms and facilities. Bed was a little hard for my partner, but I slept very well.
- Kim (7/5): Okay for a one night stay but unlikely we’d stay there again. - Quaint, interesting and unique accommodation. Furnished throughout with antique items. Great location. The provided breakfast was very good. Cracks in the siding allowed cold air and daylight into the room. An inoperable wall vent likewise opened to the outside. Bathroom had very little shelf space. Somehow or someway in the night a switch was turned off shutting off all power to outlets in all rooms thus essential devices were not fully charged overnight.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Very pleasant stay in a historic guesthouse. - Historic, picturesque guesthouse. Walking distance to a great dinner venue. Kelly is so nice and helpful. Nothing.
- Hughes (8/5): -
- Anita (10/5): Gorgeous property and convenient location. - Beautiful homestead style. Two lounge areas with tea/coffee etc available 24 hours. Lovely breakfast and hosts. Bonus to have free EV chargers in the car park too. Short walk to the Main Street with plenty of food options. N/A.
- Genevieve (10/5): Lovely stay in Katoomba! Highly recommend - Really lovely place to stay. Breakfast was awesome - a hot croissant and boiled egg, great selection of fruit (including berries), different types of breads and spreads, large assortment of teas, multiple kinds of cereal, Greek yoghurt. Super yummy. Bed was comfortable and room was cosy but clean. Would definitely recommend. Very convenient to get to the Blue Mountains by car and close to the Katoomba shops (we didn’t walk and only drove, but I believe it’s only a 12 min walk). Parking spots were a bit squishy when all 7 guest cars were parked in, but that was literally the only downside
- Rita (10/5): - Wunderschönes Interieur
- Penny (10/5): Restful. Quiet. Fulfilling breakfast. - Was exceptionally clean. Thoughtfully decorated and maintained. Everything was great.
- GAËLLE (8/5): -
- John (7/5): A nice friendly guest house -
- Sara (9/5): -
- KC (8/5): -
- Julie (9/5): -
- Graeme (10/5): Relaxing - Well furnished with nice breakfast on verandah
- Keith (6/5): Good location, but disappointed by poor breakfast - Good quiet location in historic characterful B&B.
Fan in room useful. Breakfast. Had to ask time. The majority of guests must have arrived bang on 8am for breakfast. There were limited no amounts of some items including fresh fruit, berries and bread so had to make do with cereal only. Would have liked to see items refreshed so plenty for all guests.
Given wrong key for room so good job came back earlier to get changed so manager about to swap
- Helen (10/5): I booked to stay at Kurrara Guest House for my 60th birthday, the best ever-incredible! - The house heritage and totally unique, within walking distance to Echo Point, the best vantage point to view the 3 Sisters. Great additional features bathroom toiletries, tea and coffee and super lounge and library.
- Cathy (8/5): -
- Holger (9/5): - Außergewöhnliches Ambiente. 20 Minuten zum Echo-Point und zum Zentrum. Alles sehr persönlich.
- Peter (8/5): -
- Karen (8/5): -
- Tim (7/5): - Breakfasts were good. The room was not serviced. Replacement soaps, shampoo needed.
- Catherine (9/5): Perfect - Charming old house with sympathetic decor. Lovely breakfast, the kitchen person and Kylie were attentive. Not much
- Anders (9/5): Nice historic hotel. Close to Katoomba attractions - Nice old historic house. Very cosy communal rooms with tea, coffe and snacks available all the time. Close to Echo point lookout.
- Angela315 (9/5): Excellent, relaxing stay. - Lovely quiet location with friendly and helpful staff. The house is full of character and I was given a lovely room with a door to a little terraced area. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Nothing
- Katrina (10/5): - A super place with character and charm. Comfortable with very friendly staff and convenient for the beautiful three sisters and town. Tasty continental breakfast.
- Michael (10/5): Cost and comfortable. - Great place to stay. Good value and staff were excellent. Really enjoyed this place.
- Brett (8/5): Great base to explore the mountains. - Well maintained, comfortable and attentive staff. Nothing.
- Laurence (10/5): It was far too short. A magnificent stay. - It felt like a great old well maintained beautiful home
- Michael (9/5): Kurrara guest house - Beautiful room. Service was excellent. Staff were very friendly. Great selection of books and CDs Would have enjoyed more options for breakfast.
- Lysandra Oliver (10/5): - This beautiful guesthouse dates back to 1902. When you enter through the front door you are transported back in time. The place is beautifully decorated with high ceilings and antiques galore but, at the same time there are plenty of modern comforts.
Our ensuite room was on the first floor. It had a wonderfully comfortable bed with beautiful crisp linens and all you could wish for in the bathroom.
The delicious breakfast was served in a room off the main lounge, overlooking the pretty gardens.
There is a guest lounge to relax in with plenty of books, dvd films and games. Tea and coffee is available at all times.
The guesthouse is within walking distance of the town where you will find a handful of restaurants.
We really enjoyed staying here, thank you for making our stay in Katoomba special.
- Marianne (8/5): - God frukost. Gillar det familjära och den gamla stilen. Rent och fräscht!
- Maarit (3/5): -
- Marie (9/5): Lovely Blue Mountains Cottage Stay - We had a cosy room upstairs. The pretty windows had views of lush green trees and garden, and all the way to Katoomba. I especially enjoyed being able to open the windows. Everything seemed in good working order. Very clean and lovely touches. We only stayed for a night, but staff made us feel at home. We especially enjoyed sitting inside the closed verandah, and had wine and cheese plate(we took) watching parrots in the beautiful cottage garden. It was lovely having a breakfast provided with the accomodation. The staff looked quite busy, at times some of the provisions were low, especially for guests arriving a little later.
There was a low (roof) beam in our bathroom, which is unavoidable. We didnt have any incident with hitting our head( we re not tall) but maybe a thought for prevention could be considered.
- Sanjay (8/5): -
- Marc (8/5): - Cenyral location, look and feel Room too exposed to public area if opened
- Prakash (10/5): awesome - everything! none
- Hana (8/5): -
- Mark (10/5): -
- JD (9/5): The staff were friendly, the continental breakfast was good. The location was good for us. - It was a nice place to stay. A short walk from the main business area. The breakfast was good. Because it was older it had some areas that a little fixing up was required. There were areas outside that had odds and ends that could have been cleared up.
- Tracey (8/5): - A lovely welcome and tour of this historic guesthouse on arrival by the new owner. Our room and en suite was immaculately clean. Plenty of common areas at the property to sit and relax. Breakfast was continental, buffet style. Property is in a lovely, quiet street but only 10 minutes walk to the centre of Katoomba. Also extremely close to all the attractions. If I am being super picky, I would say that our room was rather small and with no air conditioning was a little stuffy but a tower fan was supplied to help with this.
- Nathan (9/5): -
- Sheree and Jason (6/5): Pleasant - The breakfast was wonderful, tasty and very well presented and prepared. The atmosphere is comfortable, clean and every little detail has been thought of. The period furnishings were delightful and pay homage to the age of the home. Evelyn is a wonderful hostess and extremely helpful, particularly with local information. The room we had was a little cramped and cluttered and there was nowhere to place luggage and toiletries, which made a two day stay less than comfortable. The onsite parking promised when we booked turned out to be “first in, best dressed”, which meant we had to drag luggage and clothing through the pouring rain. The good points outweigh the bad and not sure if other rooms are larger, but for $260 per night, it would be helpful to either have some extra room/storage space or a reduction in the tariff.
- Lisa (10/5): A unique and rejuvenating place, great to be able to experience it - Every last detail has been thoughtfully put in place for a welcoming and comfortable experience n/a
- Alan (8/5): -
- Jean louis (10/5): Top house and owners - Beautiful victorian House . We loved the décoration From all over the World. Clean and confortable. Good bed. Calm. Very good breakfast and great owners. Merci beaucoup for your fantastic welcoming..
From the saint Malo pirates.😉😀
- Jasper (2/5): -
- Renate (7/5): - Nice small breakfast with eggs on demand. Lovely old house. No closet in the room and no space to put your clothes anywhere.
- Angela (7/5): Lovely historic house and gardens. - Lovely house and very friendly staff and guests. Unfortunately, we stayed during a heatwave and with no aircon it was very uncomfortable.
- Julia (10/5): -
- Shi (8/5): -
- Craig (9/5): Enjoyable stay in a good location - Heritage

The 2 sitting rooms
Room was great
- maureen (10/5): A true gem in the beautiful mountains - Everything! Beautiful furnishings, spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed, very peaceful, warm welcome by hosts. Buffet breakfast a real bonus as you can start the day in comfort. So much attention to detail including little extras, eg sherry and chocolates. The house is located away from the busy town centre and has beautifully cared for gardens. Parking on site or on street, easy and free. Public bus stop close by for visiting Echo Point/Three Sisters without paying exorbitant prices for parking. A true gem with 123 years of history. Nothing! It's perfect.
- Finn (10/5): -
- Hui (9/5): -
