The room is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I would first like to compliment Duty Manager Suman, who made my check-in process extremely smooth. Initially, I had checked into ibis Chennai OMR due to an error on my part. The staff at ibis were very polite and helpful.They connected me with Suman, and I explained my situation. Despite it being midnight and my recent arrival from Singapore, he reassured me and asked me to come over without any hassle. The ibis team efficiently assisted in cancelling my booking, and I proceeded to Novotel SIPCOT where everything was handled seamlessly. The breakfast here is excellent, offering a wide variety of options. The staff are friendly, attentive, and consistently check in to ensure guests’ needs are met. A special thanks to Chef Anbu and Atanu for their warm hospitality and for always making sure everything was perfect. Thank you once again to the entire team.I will definitely be returning!

Although the hotel is a bit far from the airport but it’s worth it. Nice rooms, nice service, the breakfast is awesome. Kovalam beach is nearby and a must visit if you stay here. Altogether it’s a lovely property. We loved staying here.

When I came down for breakfast, I noticed that plain puri was not available on the buffet as beetroot puri was on the menu. Chef Yuvraj was very thoughtful and offered me ajwain puri instead, which was so delicious and a great gesture of care. Harmon prepared one of the best coffees I’ve had, making my mornings even better. At lunch and dinner, Aliarbaz and Jyoti took excellent care of us with their attentive service and warm hospitality. By the poolside, Mana made sure we were comfortable, offering water and checking if we needed anything else. I would also like to appreciate Rupsha, Asmi, Niyas, Gowtham, and Harsh for their warmth, attentiveness, and excellent service throughout my stay. - Varun (10/5): - I have no hesitation in recommending this property to stay at if there is a need for you to stay in this area. Currently Chennai is in a bit of a traffic chokehold as they frantically try and build their metro which makes travelling anywhere in Chennai a bit of an ordeal. However this place is an oasis of peace and calm in this chaos. It is close to Marina mall, and Ganga sweet shop is reasonably easy to access if you have transport if you are looking to take indian sweets on your travels. Crossing the road can be done at risk to live and limb, much as any other Indian city ! The rooms were good, good AC. Standard TV fare for India, with BBC World and french world tv available. Staff attentive. I needed a late check out room for which they charged half the room rate if occupying until 18.00. Breakfast fine; didn't use pool or gym; pool is 2 ft deep at one end and 4ft at the other.We ate from the a la carte menu and what we chose was decent. It is about an hour from the airport.

Hotel guests get 20% off FnB outlets. There’s a good sized swimming pool for hot sunny days but a few days of the week it’s full of children having their swim lessons till 6.10pm. The gym is avail 24 hrs n has very acceptable equipment for business travellers here for a few days. Food at the restaurant for breakfast n dinner buffet was good selection, not fancy, but you get something different everyday. The service given by staff stands out for me they are obliging, courteous and try their best.

- sibaji (8/5): A decent option right on OMR, Chennai - I had stayed with my family at the Novotel, Sipcot earlier this month, i.e., Jul'25, and I must say that it was a decent experience overall. The property is located just opposite the SIPCOT Industrial Park right beside the main road (i.e., Chennai OMR) and reasonably close to the ELCOT SEZ as well which is great if you're on a business trip. The 'Premier Room' we had booked weren't bad and had all the necessary equipment and gadgets as well. However, the room lacked space and didn't have any 'garden-view' as was advertised. As far as food is concerned, the Sunday brunch was exceptional despite its costs although the food on the other days was mediocre at best and nothing to write about. Overall, I would say that it's a decent choice for the business traveler but I would hesitate to recommend it for family-trips.

- 506srinidhic (10/5): Exceptional service and a great value option - I used the Novotel SIPCOT as the accommodation base for my wedding party. The rooms were excellently maintained, and a very special shoutout to the Duty Manager Mr. Akhil. He and the team were very proactive with helping us with everything from arranging multiple airport transfers, to procuring shuttle services for the wedding and ensuring a seamless checkin for the whole wedding party. We truly did not expect such good service when we booked this hotel and are now very glad that we did! The breakfast buffet was quite good and featured a range of indo-western options. Service was prompt and the food was rather tasty. The location might be a bit difficult to get to, so if landing in Chennai, it might be ideal to arrange airport transfer from the hotel - especially if one does not yet speak Tamil. All in all, I highly recommended Novotel SIPCOT and I know I shall be staying there again.

- Pradeep Kumar (8/5): - The bathroom shower area does not have a fully closable glass panel. It is only half closed and because of the gap the water comes out when taking a shower. The bathroom exhaust mechanism is not working or it needs improvement. Water does not evaporate from the bathroom and creates a musty odor. Room fresheners will not solve this and may affect those who are sensitive to fragrances. Especially request to change the spray used in elevators. Also I have requested a taxi to the airport to be picked up and called in to ensure I was being picked up. Still no taxi was sent over. Communication between the hotel and booking platforms needs to be improved as messages sent over by guests such as me (sent from expedia.com could not be read by the hotel staff). Service staff in the restaurant were welcoming and Beds were great and I was able to sleep well. AC was working but the air circulation or fan speed was poor. Maybe a fan could solve this? The restaurant was spacious and several food options are there. I really liked the restaurant and the food. Tried Breakfast buffet. Room was affordable.

- Sanjay (10/5): Very well maintained hotel - Even though I have given the hotel high marks, I was a tad bit disappointed that I was not able to get an upgrade to a suite from a premier room for a reasonable price. I had used Expedia to book the premier room which is typically priced at 6500 a night. The suite was about 7500 but not available to book online though available for a price of 7500. Instead of upgrading me for a price of 1000 to 1500 a night, I was told that it would be available at 3000, which I politely refused. The lady who tried to get me the room was extremely courteous and tried her best in my opinion, but I think management procedures prevented a reasonable upgrade. Otherwise my stay here with family was extremely pleasant. The restaurant folks were especially friendly and the chefs go out of the way to get you want you want.

My only disappointment was that there was no hot water in the sink or shower. Stayed for three days and on days one and two informed different hotel staff yet they were unable to resolve the issue by the end of my stay.

- Brett (6/5): Not ideal for international travellers - The hotel overall is good enough, it was clean, so for a night or two you can manage. There are a number of minor misses. No place for soap or shampoo in the shower No conditioner for your hair Terrible TV selection, realistically only CNN was available if you speak only english Only have this room if you are by yourself. One entire bathroom wall is glass with a view of the toilet. There wasn't a steam iron, just an old school iron. I haven't even seen an iron like that in years. The bed frame has a sheet of plywood under it which gave it no give, it was pretty uncomfortable bed.

- Alicia (10/5): Excellent Service - We stayed at Novotel Chennai Sipcot for 3 nights and were blown away with the level of service received. Every single staff member made us feel welcomed. Everyone from Reception to the staff that cleaned our room to the Kitchen staff were proffessional and friendly. They took the time to chat with us and never refused any request that we had. There was one gentleman (I think his name was Santosh or Santoor) that we would highly recommend being promoted from trainee assistant manager to Hotel manager. He went out out his way to make us feel comfortable and give us extra information. I only wish that this hotel was closer to the city and airport. Anyone who doesn't mind traveling a bit should really consider staying at Novotel Sipcot Chennai.

Everyone is really nice and accommodating, Kannan (he helped me with my luggages) is worth a mention, what a great and pleasant person! Only negative note is that I booked for one night through Expedia and I decided to extend for an extra night and the price i got offered me at the hotel was 2000 rupees more than the one showed on Expedia.

Bad things: > Toilet seat had stains on it. > Iron was regular iron, was expecting steam iron. > Room access key was worn off, must have been used by multiple guests. > The cab for airport pickup was of lower segment than what I had booked. > Before leaving for Chennai, I had confirmed with them about dry-cleaning but at the hotel they were reluctant to take my clothes for dry cleaning (siting the reason that they won't be responsible for damage to clothes as it has to be sent outside). I wish they had made this clear in very beginning. > Although the staff is good, they are more focused towards servicing foreign guests. > Apple computers in the front lobby can be more cleaner. > Bathrooms don't have any soap holder, so you have to get out of shower to take toiletries and keep it back or keep on floor ! > Live music band mostly played blues.. add more genres.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Poor- an understatement - Came to spend a peaceful weekend to Novotel, sipcot. Pros: clean swift check in and check out. Great service recovery by junior service staff. Cons: - least inclined about delivering standard quality.( bone in a club sandwich with burnt bread, ultra greasy omelette which don't look like an omelette anyways) - took 4 hours to deliver a bottle of water. Was wondering if they were receiving it from another country. Rather than making a successful recovery, I was told that I did not have a palate for Phad Thai which was reeking with an obnoxious smell of raw egg and fish sauce. Really?? FYI people know the difference of cooked and uncooked. Think twice before seeking help there otherwise you will have a bag full of sarcasm to hear. I would like to mention Prem- room service, kept a constant check for our feedback ever after we complained of inedible food.

- Steve (10/5): Superb new hotel outside Sipcot IT Park in Chennai - First time I have stayed here, mainly because it's new but normally I tend to stay in Fisherman's Cove overlooking the Bay of Bengal. Anyway, due to the price of Fisherman's Cove I decided to give the new Novotel a go, especially as it's about 600m from our offices in Chennai. It was a good choice, no a great choice actually. The hotel is lovely - brand new and so everything simply works. The room was lovely and full of nice new mod cons. I at room service twice due to coming back from the office quite late, and the food was just superb. I had a curry one night and a Thai dish another and both were better than I've had in any hotel room service before. The service was good, only slightly let down at breakfast where I seemed to have to continuously ask for coffee. The only let down is that they serve no alcohol at the moment as they don't have a license and so the fact that I'd paid for a superior room with access to the Club lounge was a bit pointless, plus I couldn't get a beer with my evening meal. Not a major problem but they probably should tell you about this before you arrive. Would I return? For certain I would and would recommend for definite to others too.
