- Chris (10/5): A lovely 2 day stopover - Beautiful inside with a stunning view from the terrace. It was perfect for our short stay. Russell is a lovely little town too.
- Colin (9/5): A lovely relaxing 4 night stay - Beautiful views across the harbour. Lovely outdoor seating area.
An enjoyable stay, very peaceful location.
Comfortable beds. No sink in kitchen area
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Andrea (10/5): - Amazing views, private, comfy bed, great location close to lots of walking tracks and handy down into the Russell township.
- Garth (9/5): -
- Tammy (9/5): -
- Christian (9/5): - Sehr ruhige Lage top Ausblick
- Cindy (7/5): Lovely place, good location . - One apartment was fab, beautiful location, great views, nice sitting area. Great location. One apartment was not so good. Not a great lay out, no door on toilet area, no bedside table, steep stairs to sitting area. Quaint, but I wish I had known before. Still loved the location and would stay again
- Paul (8/5): -
- Joseph (10/5): - The location was amazing, what a view! It was lovely and quiet, we were surprised not to hear many bird sounds considering all of the trees & plants in the area.
- Janene (9/5): - Comfortable bed No side tables in master bedroom, spilt floors was a little strange didn't utilize lounge as felt wrong energy.
- Helen (7/5): Great location with access to an almost private bay and a bush walk into town. Private and spacious room. - Location, big room, private. Didn’t find the washing up bowl until the last day. Funny calling room a library when there are no books. Would have liked replacement milk since we got milk on day 1.
- B (9/5): -
- Franklin (8/5): -
- David (9/5): From booking to stay including all instructions on access and exit - Location was great
Utilities and comfort Nothing
- Stephanie (9/5): -
- Angela (6/5): - Location is beautiful Toilet without door
No sink to wash dish
- Tura (9/5): Nice and quiet in a suburb location. - We enjoyed our stay, a bit of a trek to our room, but the view was beautiful. The stairs to rea h our room.
- Bruce (8/5): Russell is very quiet in the winter - Great to be able to see the sea. A few bush walks real handy. Nice wonder into Russell town
- Günther (8/5): Very good - Very nice venue with an exceptional view into the bay of Russell. Absolutely phantastic. Unfortunately there is no kitchen (as correctly mentioned in the description - but still, a possibility to do some basic cooking would further improve the experience, especially when staying more than just one night).
The way down from the parking spot to the venue is quite long and steep - not suitable for people with a walking disability. A note in the description would help to avoid nasty surprises.
- Marita (6/5): Pleasant - Location It leaked on windows sill
- Anne (10/5): Perfect - We loved the quiet beautiful tree area surrounding with the view of the water. The outdoor sitting area was nice to lounge in and have morning coffee.
- Andrew (9/5): Great stay would highly recommend staying here - Location, view, large and spacious Nil
- Robyn (7/5): Good - The vicinity to town
Quiet location
Bird life
Great view An awesome location but a bit tired and needs a deep clean
- Pamela (10/5): Excellent facilities in a picturesque location - The view and the little private patio was nice to eat out on Nothing
- Marianne (9/5): Superb - The host was kind and friendly and the view was good. The studio was very presentable, very clean and nicely decorated throughout - a spacious bathroom, tidy lounge/dining area with a very comfy bed off to one side. The deck with table and chairs to dine alfresco was a nice touch putting visitors amongst the birds, particularly the curious weka. The narrow access via steps extending down side of property (externally, exposed to weather) with loose stones and fairly steep incline made it difficult as one of us was feeling exhausted.
- Shane (10/5): Lovely tree tops position with views to the water. Comfortable rooms and quiet nights. - Lovely position, quiet and lovely outlook into the forest and bay below. Comfortable bed and lovely bathroom, lounge and deck. All and all a gorgeous and spacious place.
- Terrence (10/5): Quiet and peaceful location. - Fabulous facilities and garden location. Down a few steps from the dedicated parking at the end of a quiet street. It was quite a walk into town, something not highlighted when booking. It was fine for us but may not suit everyone.
- Maria (8/5): Very good - Bush clad veuws from windows. Could hear bird song. Closeness to Russell township and bush walk. Comfy bed.
- Toni (10/5): Great location with a great view. Awesome unit. Host was very accommodating with us having a boat. - Location, room, host.
- Kevin (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (2/5): Didnt even bother staying. Stunk so bad of synthetic perfume. - We didnt stay. Waste of money. Absolutely no view as advertised. Was pokey place with steep stairs. Very uncomfortable.
The place stunk of perfume sticks that we were unable to stay night Place to sit at a table and eat.
- Jean-felix (9/5): nice impression overall and good communication with the owner - The room is spacious with a mezzanine Lack of table/chairs to eat despite the presence of 2 tvs.
- Kathy (10/5): Karen was a lovely and kind host. Very comfortable place. We would stay again. Thank you Karen. - Very comfortable with everything one would need. Very nicely setup.
Beautiful view. Bed was very comfortable as all the furniture was. Nothing
- Anne (6/5): Pleasant - Quiet nice position The layout didn’t suit us but for others it could be fine. Only water available was upstairs in the bathroom so not convenient
2 storey steep staircase
- Emily (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing views
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Tracey (10/5): Would definitely recommend and stay there again, superb!! - Liked everything about the property! There was nothing we didn’t love about the property
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - Had everything needed plus some, super comfortable and lovely decor, great instructions from host, great air flow through well screened windows! There was nothing we didn’t like!
- Levy (4/5): Not what we thought we were paying for. - It was clean enough however I walked through a big spider web when about to sit on the couch. No view as advertised in the pictures.
Bathroom was not at all private.
Kettle and fridge was downstairs whereas water source was upstairs. Made no sense.
- Robert (8/5): Flagstaff eerie - a delight - Quiet seclusion, aspect and view very pleasing. Would definitely come back. A few small touches would elevate this accomodations from excellent to being extraordinary. At this price point, the absence of milk and the very ordinary coffee were the only real disappointments.
- Matthew (3/5): Very average. Overpriced for facilities and location - There was none Difficult access with no lighting by night. Room tired and unimaginative. No milk even for a coffee. In the morning. No one on site
- May (7/5): Comfortable room with a good view. - It was clean, tidy and a reasonable size for a couple and not too far from the city centre. The heat pump wasn’t working, the room smelt musty and there was no lighting on the pathway down to the room which is a health and safety issue.
- Patuawa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dean (7/5): Good - nice place
- Hilary (8/5): A lovely weekend away in Russell and very comfortable accommodation. - Comfortable and in a great location. A bit quirky but that’s what we liked. Nothing. Very dark outside. A couple more automatic garden lights wld be helpful.
- Les (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was fantastic
- Joy (8/5): Lovely walk to and from town, very accomodating host -
- Bob (9/5): Superb - We were in the 'Garden Suite" This is a lovely place to be and the veiws are geat, bed is very comfy, the rooms have both AC and fly screens on the windows so you can get a great airlof and no bugs. the deck outside is a a nice place to be and sit and ejoy the view and a good book :) This particular room is at the bottom of the hill, it was not ideal for lugging the bags down, not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. The room slightly musty smell on arrival, but once aired out this went away.
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christopher (6/5): Pleasant -
- Keryn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Graeme (10/5): Fantastic Property overlooking the Bay - Location and Privacy , size and cleanliness There is nothing not to like
- Luyi (9/5): Awesome apartment - Awesome location, quite and safe. Beautiful surroundings, can see so many stars in a clear night. We can hear kiwis in the evening and early in the morning. None
- Cynthia (8/5): Lovely quiet retreat, nice view - We were given an upgrade to a larger room with a lovely view. It was super quiet and relaxing and an easy drive into town. It was also close to the viewpoint which, after a short walk, was breathtaking. The bed and linens were very comfortable. Overall a great stay. There was a bit of a funky smell in the room, likely due to humidity. But we were able to open the windows with screens on.
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Geoff (8/5): A pleasant, clean, quiet and comfortable stay, but not worth the cost if staying in the Treetops. - Good location with elevated views over the Russell foreshore and close to the Russell flagstaff. The property is at the end of the street, which meant the lack of parking on the property was not an issue. Our friends were located a short walk away on the other side of the building and we were able to use their deck from socialising as our deck was adjacent to road and without a view. The Tree Tops is a little funky and may put some people off as you have to walk down stairs to the living space, which kids will like as it is more like a dungeon. Access to water to fill the hot water jug / get a drink was restrictive. In Treetops room some people might not like the fact the restroom facilities were behind a partition behind the bed and a person in the second bed would need to walk right past you. If one is 'picky' do not stay in the Treetops unit as it is on the upper side of the house with just a small view of bay. Feel that unit should have been at a lower price, as not worth the money paid.
- Tracey (9/5): Superb - Great location, nice and quiet. Plenty of room and good facilities. Having a gate to lock at the top of the stairs was a great safety feature especially at night. As it was my sister and I having only a half wall separating the bathroom and bedroom was awkward.
- Jennifer (9/5): Great Stay at Titore - I had a great stay at Titore Lodge. Karen is so kind and welcoming, which made my stay even better. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. I also liked that there is a hiking trail right by the property, so I could walk/hike into town (I did not have a car). The AC in my room stopped working after the first night and the TV was a bit spotty (the picture would go out). These were not deal breakers though.
- Rimi (6/5): Pleasant -
- Michelle (9/5): Wonderful end to our 3 week trip to NZ. Nice and relaxing and lovely walks to Russell and Long Beach. Thanks. - Wonderful views of the bay and great location. Lots of steps down to the property but worth it.
I would have liked to have met the hosts.
- Murray (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Clean and pleasant and amazing historic (think Hone Heke)hilltop position just above Russel town - Brilliant position We were at the back with not much view.Im sure the other rooms were much better
- Jeffrey (9/5): Superb - Clean, comfortable, great view. Lovely place to return to after a day out. Nothing.
- Alejandra (10/5): a stunning spot to enjoy Bay of Islands - amazing views, fully equipped, near town with a scenic walk into the shops and bars. host was incredibly accommodating nothing. we loved our stay
- Craig (8/5): Very good - Great views over Russell, cleaniness, privacy n outlook Altho beautifully presented n clean, did smell musty.
- Phillipa (8/5): Very good - Idyllic spot, beautifully appointed. Always love our stays
- Cheryl (9/5): It was absolutely wonderful! Thanks for hosting us. - Everything. Beautiful location. All necessary supplies were available. Easy check in and check out.
Clear explanations and directions provided. Comfortable bed.
- Richard (8/5): Very good - Open style room was very interesting, clever design.
- James (8/5): Good place for 1 day! - The room was so nice and clean, the beds were comfy, the view is nice. the power went off.
- Dhruval (9/5): Superb -
- Ankita (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (6/5): Pleasant - When I booked it said we had a sea view, the reason we booked it.
The only view was a side window view as you walked into the bathroom.
Very disappointing.
- Cath (3/5): Poor - Location & view was wonderful The room was musty & smelt mouldy.
We felt this was coming from the curtains, carpet & soft furnishings. These need to be removed & let the property down.
- Derek (9/5): Superb -
- Joe (10/5): Exceptional - The view was stunning, room was spacious and a lovely place to sit in the evenings.
- Mrs (10/5): Amazing trip Russell, Bay of Islands.
Highly recommend - Everything Nothing
- Joseph (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mike (5/5): Passable - like the decor , good location musty smell in unit , the owner took away wet rugs and supplied a Dehumidifier , the view could have been improved with trimming of the vegetation
- Mark (7/5): relaxing stay - location and view from the deck were very good dusty in places and slightly musty smell on entering the accommodation
- Heidi (9/5): Superb -
