- Vo Trong (9/5): - the onsen experience is awesome
- Thi Thanh Tra (8/5): -

- Mary Jane (10/5): It was excellent. The staff are very helpful and polite - It is very relaxing good to just reflect on yourself and be with nature.
- Joanne (10/5): - Comfy room and hot springs are amazing.

- Rick & Helen (9/5): - We stayed two nights during wet weather which was great as a lot of the activities were indoors. The resort was very quiet and peaceful with not many guests during our midweek stay. Our room rate included onsen and a 50 minute massage per day. These were both excellent. We did the yoga at 8 am and the soundbath at 8 pm both excellent. . We enjoyed soaking in the outdoor thermal spa. For the price, this is an excellent place to stay if you want to relax unwind and experience some holistic therapies. A special mention to Hoa in the restaurant who provided excellent service. The first room we had felt a little damp. We were moved to another room with no problems.
The food is a more expensive than the city but is good quality and very good service

- Dania (10/5): - This is a great wellness retreat away from the hustle and bustle. The Spa is incredible! Word of advice: take a bungalow has the spa treatments included. It makes more sense price wise to get the more expensive room with the spa treatments included if you plan to use the spa and onsen bath.
- Shirley (10/5): SPECIAL!!!😋😋💕 - Hot springs were FABULOUS!!! LOVED all the classes!! Yoga , Hoa AMAZING…. Head / neck massage Thani soooo intuitive… Noman spiritual energy radiates… tea ceremony beautiful… staff at restaurant lovely… spent Christmas by must & indulged emotionally, spiritually, mentally… all staff wonderful!!! LOVED MY SPECIAL TIME 💕💕💕 Not enough time
- Teresa (10/5): Beautiful Weekend Getaway - The staff were so kind and attentive
- Thi Anh Thu (7/5): - Outside Hótpring Room has bad smell. Public toilet is too old and dỉty. The onsen are not hot as said. The massage time since 1:30 pm í not appropiate
- Roberto (10/5): -
- Peter (8/5): - Friendly staff. Nice accommodations. Onsen water could have been warmer
- Andreas (10/5): -
- Anna (10/5): Perfect - The hot springs were phenomenal. We also really enjoyed the onsen and reflexology. The staff was super helpful as well. Great escape from bug city/noise pollution! Definitely recommend for a wellness experience.
- Thi Dung (10/5): -
- Tracey (9/5): Fabulous place to unwind - The hot springs, onsen and spa were fabulous. The staff could not do enough for you, every need was catered for. Throughly recommend Alba Wellness resort.
- Aleksandra (9/5): -
- Hong (9/5): Rất hài lòng - Bữa sáng ổn
Cảnh quan môi trường tuyệt vời Kiến
Tuy nhiên tôi hiểu đó là điều hết sức khó khăn vì nơi nghỉ dưỡng đắm chìm trong môi trouwngf thiên nhiên tươi tốt
- Sarah (8/5): Great place to experience hot springs. - The hot springs were amazing. There are different pops gradually getting hotter until they are way too hot to touch. You can only eat at the resort and the food options are limited. Whilst we were there there was also a day trip of about 40 school kids which was odd.

- Walters (10/5): Great service. Outstanding and professional masseuses Tai chi was good - Tranquility and amenities
- Katharine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deborah (10/5): A slice of heaven stay here you won’t regret it - Absolutely everything.
Right, this is a slice of heaven. The staff are sooo attentive, the food is amazing, breakfast fantastic, dinner fabulous.
The Onsen, treatments and classes are all great. Extras like tea ceremony, pottery class, brilliant.
The pool, well it’s fabulous and there was only four of us there so it was like a private one.
Room, brilliant, and the buggy to take you around if it’s too hot to walk is great.
There is nothing more you could want. Stay here you won’t regret it. There’s nothing not to like
- Emma (9/5): I just wish I had more time there . A haven after the crazyness of Hanoi and Ha long Bay - Situated out of the way in the countryside
- Quynh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sylvia (10/5): Relaxing stay - We had a great relaxing stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful. If you're looking to disconnect from every day life. This is the place to reconnect with yourself. The food is delicious and all the facilities are awesome.
The only thing is that it's far from Hué center. It takes 45min by shuttle that you have to pay. And the last shuttle from Hué center to the resort leaves at 2pm.
- Xuân (5/5): Passable -
- Derek (8/5): Not many Onsens in Vietnam and this one was great!! - All good. The retreat was very quiet with very few guests which was good for us. Buffet breakfast was unavailable but given the limited number of guests understandable !
- Cori (7/5): Mixed feelings - -- gorgeous area, hot springs that you can swim in all day (I LOVED the hot springs), interesting, but regimented onsen experience, good but nothing special massage, wide variety of classes, lots of veggie options at breakfast, along with the typical high carb stuff, very friendly staff, room had a phone, was tastefully decorated, electricity even when you leave. the staff was very nice.
-- the zipline was amazing! I am a big chicken, and they had a tiny zipline one foot off the ground. Then you can do the rope park to get acclimated, and then a normal kid- style zipline. THEN you can try the one over the valley, but I didn't. I was happy to make progress. -- it's true about the noise-- screamng, music with base, games, classes-- all in close proximity. half of the area belongs to a more affordable hotel which attracts locals. On the one hand, you want to be in peace. On the other hand, this is their country, and what a shame if this beautiful land is too expensive for them. Some compromise could be made (no loud music, etc), but they're not gonna do that. Noise pollution is the norm.
-- One of my teachers of breath work (she was very good)spoke firmly in military style during class. I asked her to speak more softly (I was alone). She couldn't. In general the level of English is the same as every other nice hotel, but here it detracts from the classes -- fine for interactions involving bills and menu orders, but not to conduct classes. Particularly their pronunciation.
-- lots of pushing upgrades
-- they aren't aware that the last impression you make is most important. On my last day, I ordered a buggy to help me take my luggage. It didn't come, so I lugged my bags across the area so I wouldn't miss my 11:30 shuttle. I arrived at 11:31, and asked if the shuttle had left. The girl at the desk didn't know, then she began to wait on a Vietnamese woman, then by 11:39 she still didn't know (and didn't care). Finally a man took care of it, found out it hadn't left. Later I traveled into the city to their sister hotel, which allowed me to store my luggage for a couple of hours. But I had already paid for luggage storage bc Alba said they had no where to store my luggage. The sister hotel kept many people's bags that day, and at the very least Alba could have said it would be a possible option. So overall lack of respect for my money. In the rest of Vietnam they told me to take a motorbike and not a car to save money -- just so you have an idea of how unVietnamese this is.
Just pay money to use the hot springs and skip this hotel.
- Andres (9/5): Brilliant, serene and exclusive resort for a peaceful break. Avoid weekends or holidays. - Gorgeous resort just outside of Hue proper. The design of the common areas and especially of the SPA is outstanding. The staff at the SPA went above and beyond to try and find the quietest times for us to do the treatments by ourselves. The open air hot springs are gorgeous, and the huge swimming pool was great to actually swim in. All the staff, at the hot springs, at reception and at the restaurant were absolutely lovely, charming and ready to help. It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The food, considering the top level of everything else, was just average. When we were there on weekdays it was very peaceful and quiet, unfortunately on Saturday it got busier with large groups and families who were in a bit more of a party mood, making a lot of noise and playing music which spoiled the serene experience somewhat. If you can, absolutely avoid weekends or national holidays.
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional - It was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had. The staff were so friendly, professional and helpful at all times. After checking in you are given an app that you can use to communicate and plan your stay. You can even schedule housekeeping services and they were always on time and extremely fast. I have never experienced anything like that before. The onsen experience was also really great. I booked a lot of spa treatments and everyone did an amazing job and really went out of their way to make my time as enjoyable as possible. I also attended some meditation classes and the teachers were really friendly, well trained and helpful. Thank you again for all these great and relaxing experiences. The prices at the restaurant were a little higher than local places, but the quality of the food was excellent and the overall service was very attentive. Some of the dishes were the best I have had in Vietnam so far. My room was also spacious and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location of the hotel is quite out of Hue city and far away from everything. But you are rewarded with amazing nature and a really peaceful environment. I really wish I could come back one day and I'd like to thank the whole team again.
- Darlene (8/5): Beautiful location - The staff was exceptional and the 2-bedroom bungalow perfect for our family The food was not up to standard. A chef matching the resort is needed. The menu is set up to please most everyone but the execution is poor. Completely overcooked sea bass and flavorless spaghetti
- India (6/5): Alba Wellness is a place for families. If you’re looking for a retreat go with Pilgrimage Resort. - The property is remote, quiet, and made for families. We have been in Vietnam for several weeks now and found the staff not as helpful as at other hotels. They also called us on the hotel phone several times early in the morning, which we did not appreciate.
- Tinh (9/5): Superb -
- Le (7/5): I don’t like the mattress and didn’t have a good sleep. The staffs in the spa weren’t friendly - The variety is good There is no egg Benedict as mentioned in the menu, Vietnamese noodles is so so.
- C (10/5): Exceptional -
- Josh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Grrretel (8/5): Very good -
- Binh (10/5): - Best hot spring in nature setting. Quiet. Relax. Will be back to stay longer.
- Gary (7/5): Arrival & departure system was ridiculous. - The massage & hot water spring Food was good but need to be warmer.
- Pham (9/5): Overall it's excellent, as expected. - Hot springs are amazing and the resort is very well managed. They do care about the environment, no plastics and you can choose not to change bed sheets in exchange for a plate of fruit, which is a very good sustainable practice. Food is a bit boring after 2 days of stay.
- Nu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amandeep (10/5): Exceptional - Very relaxing
Good selection of food
Water slides were a good touch
Spa was amazing
Hot springs were heaven Nothing
- Nicola (10/5): A peaceful paradise to find your calm - The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is delicious, the location is peaceful and surrounded by nature. There are so many activities to choose from: meditations, yoga, Tai Chi, onsen, massage, swimming pool and so much more. Everything just slows down when you’re there. It was a tranquil moment in what can be a hectic country. It was my second visit and I’ll be back again.
- Cagian (10/5): Exceptional - Kind staff, a lot of Activities tò do, special onsen and good food. They provided a present for my birthday :) Nothing
- Aleksandra (10/5): Exceptional - -Just wonderful staff, every single person who I had chance to be in touch
-Very comfortable, clean, well designed room
-Breakfast anytime anywhere which meant that it will be served at any place of the resort whenever you say so
-Amazing complimentary mineral water which tastes like heaven
-Complimentary mineral spray which has a way better effect than all those Vichy, Avene ones
-My stay included everyday Onsen treatment and feet massage which you can upgrade to a full body one paying a little bit more - it was amazing
-Obviously hot springs which I came for and which make your skin silky and healthy
-Beautiful territory and landscape
-Perfect wellness program and spa area, they thought of each moment of the experience and I have actually never been so relaxed as I was after the massages at the Alba Nothing, totally loved the place
- Jess (10/5): Loved it and can't wait to go back! - Just fantastic! The breakfast any time anywhere was wonderful, fresh and delicious. The room was perfect. The onsen and spa services were super relaxing. The extra experiences they offer are mostly free and really worth the time. The zip line was fun! Just a ratatouille experience! A mini buggy to the zip line top would be nice. 🤪
- Stalker (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (8/5): Great retreat during the week but think twice about a weekend stay especially during holidays. - Great spa and onsen
Beautiful location
Well appointed spacious rooms
Attentive staff particularly at the spa and restaurant Was too hot to enjoy all of the resorts facilities - would be a better location in the cooler months
The very peaceful location was transformed on the national day weekend into a noisy (screaming karaoke, loud dance music, drunk people banging on your door at 11pm) crowded (no inside seating left for breakfast and 35 degrees outside) place that we were glad to leave. We had loved it up until til then.
- Ingrid (10/5): - Good
- Cynthia (10/5): Exceptional - The place is incredible!! The facilities are great, so much to do! The spa onsen bath was incredible, as well as the massage. Food was good at the restaurant, and staff was really friendly! I definitely recommend it, and will definitely be back! 💜 Nothing bad.
- Abhishek (9/5): Superb -
- Terence (9/5): Delightful experience meeting all expectations and deserving another visit! - Well maintained in a rural natural setting, convenient layout with bicycle or walking and golf cart on call. Excellent spa and onsen facilities as well as outside thermal baths. Very good restaurant with very fresh traditional Hue dining. Excellent, very helpful and pleasant staff at all facilities. Excellent app made management of room service, bookings and transport very easy and response was excellent. Some what isolated but with convenient transport options for day trips to Hue; the next door 3 star hotel hosts cultural activities and is very lively with many school groups so may be slightly noisy on occasion but otherwise added variety to the experience.
- Thao (1/5): Food poisoning again - I love the swimming pool, yoga and the quietness that the resort get to offer. Trang at the hot springs is super caring that makes the stay enjoyable. Twice we stayed there and on both occasions we had food poisoning. Dinner was too salty. My mother and sister got stomach problems during the stay there and my daughter had fever right after the stay. It’s really hard and not a fun experience, spending money and time, to end up not being able to enjoy anything, plus doctor visits afterwards.
- Maya (8/5): Nice relaxing hotel - The restaurant and pool staff were amazing. The spa area pool looks amazing. The spa is over price. The shuttle couldn't pick us up from our hotel (even if it was on the way, and we were the only 4 people in the shuttle). So we had to take a taxi with all our luggage to go to alba Spa in town to get the shuttle (which is not free but 50k per person). For the return, we needed to get dropped 700m from the alba spa because we had booked a bus. I asked the reception if we could get dropped at this address. The front desk lady said it wasn't possible! Drop of only at alba spa. The shuttle driver actually dropped people along the way and ended up dropping us where we requested. I think as it isn't a free shuttle, they could be a little more accommodating.
- Antoine (10/5): Fantastic place to relax and enjoy the countryside - Everything was just fantastic. The hotel facilities, activities and staff exceeded all our expectations. Spa and onsen are very well organized, clean and professional. We even did zip line.
The food on site is of great quality and there is so many things to do in site, we wished we could have stayed longer ! Absolutely nothing
- Thao (10/5): Exceptional - The hot springs were absolutely amazing! They had several pools with different temperatures and minerals, and the outdoor setting was incredibly serene. The pools were well-maintained and even though it was busy, there was plenty of space to relax. Holiday cheer can sometimes clash with spa scheduling realities. We recently encountered this during our Christmas Eve visit, when the spa staff initially booked our appointments right smack in the middle of dinner! ️ Needless to say, we weren't exactly thrilled with the prospect of swapping festive feasting for facials.
After politely declining, the spa team managed to find us some alternative slots. While we appreciated their efforts, the catch was that the appointments were scattered, meaning we couldn't enjoy our spa time together as a group.
This experience highlighted the importance of booking spa appointments well in advance, especially during busy periods and holidays
- Narelle (9/5): A wonderfully restful hot spring resort with welcoming staff. - The village-like layout in this peaceful location provided a restful ambience.
The daily onsen visits and choice of foot or head reflexology massages were fantastic!
The included breakfast (buffet and a-la-carte) and other meals in the beautifully designed Madam Chau restaurant were delicious. The complimentary kombucha and frequent welcome and pre/post treatment drinks were thoughtful.
The staff, especially in the restaurant, reception and spa area, were very warm and welcoming, and made every effort to make our stay enjoyable.
The outdoor hot springs, and the easy access to the public hot springs in the property next door provided ample opportunity for bathing at different temperatures.
Our day trip to the city of Hue, visiting the Citadel and Tomb, was inspiring and worth the effort. The rooms and bathrooms are a little smaller than in other hotels of a similar quality, and access to one side of the bed was a little awkward and cramped; there was no armchair or comfortable seating area, however the stool under the counter was helpful.
- Ferteux (6/5): A remote place which is lacking of restaurants and sunbeds - Kids infrastructures Very far away and quite old infrastructures
- Hannah (10/5): Lovely and peaceful, would love to go again! - Staff were really friendly and helpful, everything was clean and peaceful. We loved the onsen bath and treatments, breakfast was delicious and staff were happy to accommodate a few tweaks to our orders. Plug sockets were a bit tricky to use in our room. Would have loved more yoga classes, other than the one early one on the timetable.
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - Quiet resort, perfect for relaxing. The pool, onsen, and hotsprings were great. Staff was very friendly, food was very good.
- Chelsea (8/5): Very good - free activities
pool areas
quiet
breakfast
lovely customer service pay extra for massage and facial (wasn’t like this last year when I stayed)
no pool bar as advertised
had to pay for bikes
- Long (9/5): Superb -
- Javed (10/5): Really brought me back to what matters ☀️ - The spiritual atmosphere I could not stay forever 🥲
- Binh (9/5): Superb -
- Javed (9/5): Returned home feeling inspired, loved and healed - The ambience and flow was beautiful
- Lorna (7/5): Ideal getaway - Clean rooms and facilities. Peaceful surrounding
- Casa (9/5): Superb -
- Charvele (6/5): Visit Thanh tan for the day, not overnight. - Thanh Tan Hot springs is lovely. the three star hotel is not.
the hot springs fa themselves are fabulous there’s a two pools and the grounds are gorgeous. it’s great to escape the city and relax.
My Trang from the alba springs as part of the medical supervisory team was so sweet and helpful. Thanh would cleaned the springs each night gave us a mini tour of how it worked and where it came from which we loved. my favourite though was Na from Madame Chau restaurant so friendly and kind. if it wasn’t for these amazing staff and the springs themselves we would left early and given 2/10 the actual hotel was not ok. I agree with previous reviews 2 stars at best.
I rated this a 6 as we were loved from Thanh Tan to Alba wellness which is a 5 star sister property at the same location.
thanh tan hotel is cold, unloved and grimey.
it’s not hygienic. I would not recommend to stay here. I would stay at alba wellness but only for one or two nights not four like we did.
- Anhnv (9/5): Superb -
- Camille.bosker (10/5): Would highly recommend. Loved the spa treatments and yoga classes - Had the most amazing stay at Alba. Staff were exceptional and always happy to assist with booking our spa treatments and dinner etc.
The resort was very empty when we went which probably helped with this.
Yoga class was awesome and food was reasonably priced so wasn’t a problems either eating at the resort.
Finished our stay and felt very relaxed
- Luanluan225 (10/5): Fantastic experience - Love the ambiance of the resort, especially the sauna service, verry relax. We appreciate the enthusiasm and helpful of thr staff at the Reception Desk, will recommend the Alba Resort to my friends The portion of food in restaurant is relavively small
- Renju (10/5): Exceptional - The calm and relaxed pace, friendly and helpful staff, yoga classes, spa, hot spring and of course the food. More specific information about what's included on the room price could have been given at the check in.
- Francisco (8/5): Very good -
- Hien (9/5): Superb -
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Annette (10/5): it was an amazing time out: beautiful hotel, very customer oriented staff, amazing spa experience - Green, quiet, great value for money Nothing
