Traveling with our 6 year old grandson - having a bedroom & a separate living room with a sofa bed was very good! Location was excellent! Good places to eat all around the hotel. Subway just across the street.
- H7126OBcharlesb (4/5): In desperate need of a remodel - This hotel is showing its age and is in desperate need of a remodel. There was chipped wood on the room doors and walls, the bed creaked, and the mattress was uncomfortable. The deadbolt lock on the door was broken. The very narrow hallways were dimly lit and the tiny elevator was slow. I do not recommend this hotel and will not stay here again.
- josepedrom480 (2/5): Terrible! Hard to believe nice pictures and relatively positive comments. Watch out! - I had to plan a quick trip to NY. Though the name of this hotel did not ring a bell, I booked with them guided by pictures and positive comments. Well, the place is terrible. Though well located, I was not able to see any of the locations they advertise. Actually, they advertise a very modern building that happens to sit next ti the very old premises of this hotel. My room was a box. It is s small it happens to be massively overpriced. My bathroom smelled do bad!. There is only one guy at reception and nobody when he leaves (he does frequently). People are kept waiting in a tiny lobby which is filled with suitcases and stuff. There in only 5 chairs at the lobby. And lots of people waiting. If you attempt to seat at the bar next to the lobby, you either have to order or they kick you out! Waiters barely can mutter some English and are in A very bad mood. By far my worst experience in a hotel ever.

The employees were all quite good - great housekeeping, helpful maintenance guy, lovely server in the bar, nice to have doormen. The bagel place next door is fabulous, but the line is unbelievable Order online and early! Great location for subway, Central Park, mall across street, CVS and Walgreens one block away. Relatively quiet in the rooms.

There is an additional tax of $30 per day for the use of the electricity etc. The staff was EXCEPTIONAL So friendly and helpful. The location was convenient for our needs.

T'was a much better experience than last year. My only complaint: the entrance is handicap hostile. Non just ADA-noncompliant, but treacherous for anyone with visual or mobility issues. When a doorman is present, they are wonderfully helpful; they are rarely available. I understand there is limited space and few options, but PLEASE join the 21st (or even the 20th) Century and make your property accessible!

- Tour36443101964 (4/5): Expensive, cramped, beautiful hotel in a great location with minimal amenities. - Beautiful aesthetic but lacks basic amenities. Good location. Expensive. Cramped spaces typical of New York. Blocks street noise but definitely can hear everything happening on your floor.

- Joy (4/5): - Nice location but not a very nice hotel, at least I do not recommend room 56, and assume that the problems with this room likely afflict others. Room was tiny. The refrigerator didn’t work nor did the microwave. The shampoo and body wash pumps did not work. Worst was the noise on both sides of bathrooms in adjacent rooms. The staff were extremely nice, but overall it was not a pleasant stay.

- Robert (6/5): Cool, clean, but not comfortable - On the plus side: convenient location, very quiet, very clean. The housekeeping service was excellent. Negatives: the lighting, both in the lobby and the room, was less than effective. The lobby was so dark that coming in from outside, we had to feel around for the elevator buttons. The bathroom lighting was all but useless; the backlighting on the mirror was attractive, but meant that you couldn’t see your face. The bedroom lighting was dim. The shower head sprayed like a fire hose, but at your head and the windowsill. To rinse the bottom of your body, you had to use the faucet instead. There were no prices on the mini bar items. In short, decor and “vibe” were clearly prioritized, but comfort and convenience were not.

- Susan (6/5): - I didn't realize the building was on W. 58th. I thought it was across the street or on the circle. I'm very tired of paying $300/night for a room that has a window overlooking an air shaft. At first, I didn't even see the window shade. It was a depressing room even though it was clean. And the sink was backed up. Took about 5 minutes to drain. They think they are upscale charging $75 for a small bottle of tequila and $15 for water, but they are not. They're just another hotel that charges ridiculous amounts. I'm from Manhattan and have been in dozens of hotels over the years. This was one of the most depressing for the price range.

- Jared (10/5): Great location if you don’t need a large room. - The hotel was in a great location, right at Columbus Circle easy access to the subway in Central Park. The rooms are very small, but everything you need is in them, including a well stocked bar with snacks if you so choose to indulge. There is a bar downstairs which I didn’t go to, I believe there is food available for room service and at the bar.

- Verified traveler (4/5): AC deficient - AC barely worked, if you wanted AC you couldn’t close the drapes! So I had light coming in a dawn…super small room! It was for double occupancy and it was very uncomfortable. The location is the only good thing!

- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient hotel - The room was clean and comfortable. Decor and lighting are dark. Excellent desk staff. However, the photos of the rooftop terrace are misleading. The terrace is just a small deck with a limited view.

The bar upstairs and the lobby were a little worn but still fine. They could use better lighting in the lobby elevator hall. It was very dim. I would stay here again. Very convenient location.

- Jillian (8/5): - The bed was super comfortable- specifically the pillows. I don’t know if it’s every room but the AC in our room was a window unit, which was fine but we were in a heat wave. Of course when we pulled the shades (so we didn’t wake up with the sun) it blocked the AC. I also didn’t love that the fridge was stocked with stuff to purchase because I would have loved to put my own drinks and leftovers in there but nothing else would fit. However, the noon checkout, the friendly staff, the cleanliness, all made the experience great!

- ande4836 (10/5): Best hotel and location in all of Manhattan! - What an amazing hotel! We were welcomed immediately as soon as we walked in. The front desk greeted us and were so friendly! When we went into our room on the 10th floor we were amazed at the size of the room. The VIEW of Manhattan was breathtaking! The veranda was huge with comfy seating and a table for eating outside. We ate our breakfast out there every morning. The bathroom was spacious with a huge tub. The bathroom mirror was for super tall people but there was a makeup mirror attached to the wall. The windows have blinds for privacy at night. The room was super clean and housekeeping was so friendly! The sushi restaurant downstairs had a great atmosphere. Make sure to make reservations, it was busy! Nicole was amazing! She was able to give us tips and information on where to go as this was our first trip to NYC. Overall I felt like this was home away from home!!

This location is hard to beat and it’s surrounded by great restaurants and shopping. We walked everywhere—from the park to museums, shows and restaurants easily and safely from the hotel.

Bathroom was new , bed mattress wasn't the most comfortable but for 2-3 nights would be fine. Room was clean however I could hear when the room next door shower went on.
