Guest Reviews
- Stephanie (10/5): Excellent accommodation - We we greeted on arrival by Anthony (owner). On arrival we asked for a first floor room overlooking the fields..which was no problem to accomodate. If we had any issues they were dealt with straight away. Anthony and Margaret (sister) were always around and always very cheerful.
The property is spotlessly clean with bed linen and towels changed every 2 days and room always smells fresh and clean when you get back.
Very close to many bars and restaurants and a 5 minute walk away to beach. Property is situated between candolim and Sinquirim ( close to Stonehouse restsurant and Mikeys). 100+%Highly recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Property is a small family guest house, spotlessly clean with a warm friendly atmosphere.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - quiet location, near to restaurants and beach,
room was very clean, good breakfast
- Stephen (8/5): Great Goa Trip - A family run guesthouse at the quieter end of Candolim where you will find some cracking restaurants that are away from the so called popular choices in the centre. The D’Souza’s are always there for you if you need any help but at the same time will leave you to your own devices if you choose. Room was clean and comfortable with a great ceiling fan and aircon. The was also a fridge and TV, not that we went to Goa to watch TV! The only thing we missed was a kettle for a morning cuppa as I’m an early riser.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Dejligt ophold. Flinke mennesker ogmeget hjælpsomme. Vi kan helt bestemt anbefale dette sted til andre. Tak til Anthony og hans familie.
- carl (10/5): Lovely guest house nice and clean - It's a lovely place to go back to every day and relax,it's in a quiet place but easy to get in to candalim.
- Gregory (10/5): - A good location in the quieter part of Candolim.
Limited but good selection of restaurants around.
The guest house was very spacious and well maintained but you have to provide your own breakfast, although breakfast was available at additional cost. But not convenient eating in the room.
Would definitely recommend and also visit again.
- denise (10/5): Clean , peaceful and friendly - Arrived in the early hours of the morning but got a lovely welcome, room large clean and peaceful. Always had lots of hot water , clean bedding and towels every other day .
- traveling (10/5): Antony was very helpful room cleaned every day - Fresh towels and sheets every 2 days excellent lovely clean room balcony perfectŕrrttttttyyy6666777777776u6y6ytttt
- Dave (10/5): D'souzas little gem - We travelled as a couple to candolim in jan 2017 and stayed at D'souzas holiday homes it is in a very good location with plenty of resturant around within walking distance the beach is just a five minute walk away this area is quieter than the center of candolim
Anthony and his sister make you very welcome we enjojed our three week stay and will be booking again
- Alison (8/5): lovely clean guest house - Lovely guest house.anthony and family very friendly and helpful.local bus passed by every 10 minutes.very handy.only down side would be no terrace/balcony furniture.it was a bit inconvenient lifting chairs out all the time.we would have spwnt more time outside otherwise.lovely time was had though.woyld recommend.
- david (10/5): Clean and friendly - Great place, great family, nothing was too much bother
- Jackrac (10/5): Ideal Location and cleanliness - Good sized room with excellent AirCon, hot water every day and great fast pressured shower, cleaned everyday and great location. Good sized balcony but mozzies ready at sunset, but don't think this is the hotels fault. Would stay again no problem.
- Ksenia (10/5): Thank you for a warm welcome to Goa - At first I should say a big thank you to D'souza's holiday homes staff, lovely man and lady. They are looking very well after their guests, are helpful and ready to give an advice or answer any question.
D'souza's Holiday Homes are located about an hour drive from Goa Dabolim International Airport and costs about 900-1000 rupees one way.
It was not very easy to find D'souza's holiday homes, as there is only a small sign on the road, however once you notice it, you won't miss it again. Lovely lady met us, showed us our rooms, and how everything works. Kind man at the reception showed us the best way to the beach. We were very impressed that the hotel is located about 4-5 minutes walking distance from the beach.
The hotel building seems to be new and is in the backyard behind the front building. Furniture, doors, locks and electrical equipment seems a bit old, but everything is in good working condition and clean. Shower, toilet and sink works fine, is clean and tidy.
Breakfast was not included with our stay, but we were allowed to order from the menu that was limited to egg dishes and sandwiches. But it does tastes exactly the same (even better) as in the cafes and costs cheaper.
The only downside is the Wifi that works only at the reception. But who needs wifi when you are 4 minutes from the wonderful beach of Goa?
Overall we were very happy we stayed with D'souza's holiday homes! It really felt like home there!
- margaret (10/5): Spacious room, very clean - Good guest house, wrong location for me as a solo traveler, too far from centre. No communal area to sit and meet other guests. Tony and Margaret very pleasant and helpful. If you want peace and quiet this guest house will suit you
- Vincent (10/5): Family run Guest House 10 min walk from Beach - I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I booked to stay at D'Souza's Holiday Homes. What with the mixed reviews. But I was really pleased to find that the place (the room I booked) looked exactly like the photos on the Expedia website. It was a double room, quite spacious with air condition, fan, tv, wardrobe that is lockable and even a fridge. The room had a veranda that over looked the back yard of the property.
Any issue I had was promptly dealt with and I found the staff, especially Tony very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was served on request.
- Honeymooners (10/5): Perfect honeymoon hotel. - Exceptionally clean and comfortable. Great value for money. Lovely surroundings, close to beach.
- robert and mary (10/5): friendly hotel - just returned from a 3 week stay in goa. I cant rate this hotel highly enough. nothing was too much trouble for anthony and his family and was made to feel really welcome.
rooms were cleaned every day and clean sheets and towels every two days. breakfast was available if required served in your room. rooms are large and plenty of hot water all day long.
hope to return next year.
- Denise (10/5): Clean and Comfortable Hotel - We stayed at the hotel for 16 nights after visiting Patnemm. We were met with a lovely wecome after a 2hour journey and showed to a very clean bright and airy room. The room has nice comfortable mattresses lovely clean sheets and towels which are changed every otherday, a large clean showeroom and a lockable drawer inside a lockable wardrobe for your valuables. The rooms also have AC aswell as a ceiling fan which is great for the hotter days. There is Wifi but we didn't use it as we didn't need it due to most bars restaraunts and shacks now have free wifi and if the need arises to pop the odd photo on or to get in touch with family members just to let them know at just how much of a great holiday you are having this can be done at ease.We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and this hotel is a credit to Anthony and his family who work hard and make you feel so welcome nothing is to much trouble and we would love to stay again if we return to Candolim.
- Verified traveler (8/5): D'souza Holiday Homes - Arrived at 8pm on the 8th November and we were greeted by the property owner. The room was bright and spacious, the shower room was very clean and there was a plentiful supply of hot water. Only unwanted visitor was a frog, who kept coming back to see us - but not really a problem, more entertaining! The property is located to the south of Candolim and is a 15 minute walk to the main resort, and about the same to the beach shack we always go to. The area around the hotel has some lovely restaurants and bars, so you do not have to go to the main resort but it will only cost 1 rupee in a Tut Tut.
I highly recommend D'Souza's.
