Mark ooijevaar (10/5): Een fijne groene plek in een mooie natuurlijke rustige setting met alles in het appartement aanwezig - De goed verzorgde grote groene tuin met een fris zwembad en genoeg lig mogelijkheden om tot rust te komen. Een groot appartement met alle spullen die je maar kan bedenken aanwezig met een groot buiten terras ,schaduwrijke plekken om in de wind je boekje te lezen en van de vogeltjes/groen te genieten. Als je van rust en natuur houd ben je op de juiste plek. Dat we maar drie dagen op deze fijne locatie waren ;>)

Could perhaps have used some staples in the kitchen and some basic soap/shampoo in the bathroom

Marco (10/5): Bel posto! - Tutto ben curato, gestori molto gentili, bel posto non lontano delle spiagge e del centro di Williamstad. Molto da consigliare.
Siwan (8/5): Prachtige accommodatie, oase van rust en zeer vriendelijke hosts. - Het is een oase van rust met allerlei prachtige planten en een heerlijk verfrissend zwembad. Fijne veranda bij het huis om te zitten waar af en toe de kat gezellig bij komt. Zeer vriendelijke hosts. Houd er rekening mee dat je de auto moet nemen om ergens te komen.
Jennifer (10/5): - Die Unterkunft sah genau so aus wie auf den Bildern, mitten im Grünen. Es war wunderbar ruhig und friedlich, man hat nur das Zwitschern der Vögel gehört. Die Gastgeber Frederieke und Jeroen waren sehr hilfsbereit, aufmerksam und immer gut erreichbar. Es gibt einen digitalen Reiseführer mit Tipps für Restaurants, Strände etc., das war sehr hilfreich. Die gesamte Anlage war sehr gepflegt. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.
Steven (9/5): We hebben hier een heerlijk verblijf gehad. - Jan Kok Lodges is een prachtig resort midden in de natuur, duidelijk met veel liefde en zorg uitgebouwd. Met een huurauto is het een prima uitvalsbasis naar diverse stranden en nationale parken. We hadden jammer genoeg de enige studio zonder mooi buitenzicht. De prima uitgeruste gemeenschappelijke buiten-keuken compenseerde dit gelukkig wat. In de buurt kan je prima eten, bijvoorbeeld bij ‘De Buurvrouw’. De ontvangst was wat zakelijk en je geraakt best niet te vlug geïntimideerd door de (vele) leguanen die je vanaf diverse bomen en takken continu lijken aan te staren 😮.
Mira (10/5): Rauhallinen ja kaunis majoitusyksikkö - Ihana rauhallinen sijainti ja erittäin kaunis majoituspaikka. Puutarha bungalowin keittiö oli hyvin varusteltu ja rannalle mukaan otettava kylmälaukku oli erinomainen lisä! Yleinen tunnelma oli seesteinen ja rauhallinen. Omistajat olivat erittäin ystävällisiä ja auttavaisia. Hyvät ohjeet sisäänkirjautumiseen ym. Suositus jos haluat omaa rauhaa saarella! Hyvä tietää että majoutusyksikkö ei tarjoa mitään saippuoita, shampoita ym tarvikkeita. Tarvikkeita voi kyllä ostaa helposti muutakan kilometrin päässä olevasta marketista.

Peter (10/5): Een tropische oase! - De ligging van Jan Kok Lodges is geweldig. Midden in de natuur, met een tuin dat lijkt op een tropische oase. Ik genoot elke dag van de bananaquit of oranje troeipaal als ze weer voorbij kwamen. De huisjes zijn zo dat je vrij zicht hebt op de natuur. Het Christoffelpark en Shete Boca NP zijn dicht bij, net als de mooiste stranden (Cas Abao, Grote/Kleine Knip). Willemstad is een half uur rijden. Door deze ligging kun je het eiland makkelijk verkennen. Ideaal voor een actieve vakantie, maar ook om gewoon lekker niks te doen. Via whatsapp kun je alle vragen stellen. Je was laten doen kan ook tegen een vergoeding, heel fijn! Het huisje was schoon en netjes en de veranda ook heel mooi en ruim. Airco in de slaapkamers (kleine vergoeding) heel fijn voor een goede nachtrust!

Erica (10/5): - I spent a week at Jan Kok while on a birding holiday. The property is safe, quiet, and perfect for those looking for privacy and seclusion. This is a great choice for birders, as the property has lots of plants and resident birds, and it's only a 10-minute walk to the nearby salina, where flamingos and other waterbirds abound. A car is absolutely necessary, but there's a grocery store and restaurants within a 10-minute drive. The lodges are very clean and stocked with all the basic kitchen tools, but bring your own soap, shampoo, and coffee or tea. Highly recommended for independent travelers who want to avoid the noise and bustle of resorts.

ANTHONY (10/5): Shangri La - We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week stay in stunning Curaçao. This was made perfect by our staying at the amazing Jan Kok Lodges. What Frederieke and Jeroen have created is quite remarkable. An absolute little botanical garden of lodges set in a lush jungly surroundings. It is like entering a Shangri-La, a lost world, a tropical Paradise. Our hosts were always near to hand if we needed any information and were most hospitable. We stayed in the garden bungalow which was spacious and very private. We were surrounded by cacti, aloes and a profusion of tropical plants. We were awoken by the exotic sounds of beautifully coloured tropical birds. The bungalow was well appointed and the laundry and beach towels were regularly changed. The ladies who do the room service were lovely. Renting a car is essential for getting around we rented direct from Jan Kok Lodges. In the package, Jeroem met us from the airport and after a 9 hour flight from Amsterdam that was a bonus in itself as the place is tucked away and not so easy to find in the first instance. However the property is well placed to reach all the best beaches on the island. There is a relaxing pool area which we used but were out most days and ate out most evenings. There are plenty of restaurants a short drive away. If you want to get away from the tourist areas with the cheap tacky souvenir shops, bars, music and budget hotels, Jan Kok presents and oasis in the real Curaçao. You will not be disappointed!
CARLOS FERNANDO (6/5): Hotel adequado, mas não me agradou. - O quarto é grande e equipado. A condição geral da hospedagem adequada, mas não é estilo de hotel que gosto. Consigo entender os hóspedes que deram boas avaliações, mas não me agradou. Localização ao norte da ilha em local isolado, mais próximo das melhores praias e longe do centro de Curacao. Durante a hospedagem não tem limpeza do quarto ou recolhimento do lixo.

It was a great way to explore the middle of the island and they were very communicative. The outdoor kitchen and barbecue are great, and it was such a treat to be in nature. Would visit again!

Patrick (10/5): - Meist denkt man ja, langjährige Stammkunden der Unterkunft beschönigen hier bei den Bewertungen vielleicht ein bisschen, deshalb war auch ich vor meiner Reise noch zurückhaltend. Aber während meines Aufenthalts ist mir schnell klar geworden, dass jedes positives Urteil hier voll und ganz zutrifft. Das beginnt bei der freundlichen, schnellen und hilfsbereiten Kommunikation via Whatsapp oder auch persönlich, geht weiter über die tadellose Ausstattung der Unterkunft und endet bei der zweifellos liebevoll gestalteten Anlage insgesamt. Ich habe mich an jedem meiner Tage auf Curacao darauf gefreut, nach einem intensiven Sightseeing-Tag wieder zurück zur Unterkunft zu kommen und dort den Tag ausklingen lassen zu können. Einziger Minuspunkt: Die Insel Curacao ist ebenso wunderschön und ich hatte ein bisschen ein schlechtes Gewissen, dass ich die Vorzüge der Unterkunft gar nicht voll ausnutzen konnte. Man könnte einen Tag komplett in der Jan Kok Lodge verbringen und es wäre nie langweilig. Sicher könnte man die Zufahrt ein klein wenig verbessern - der Schotterweg ist ok, aber die größeren Löcher am Abzweig wären vielleicht vermeidbar. ;) Ich würde wirklich uneingeschränkt jederzeit wieder hier übernachten wollen, wenn ich auf Curacao wäre. Das schreibt man bei vielen Bewertungen vielleicht etwas leichtfertig hin, aber noch noch nie war ich so davon überzeugt wie diesmal.

Jaana (9/5): Superb - Beautiful property, great view, friendly hosts and cozy pool. Room, bathroom and kitchenette were clean and well equipped, outdoor kitchen was big and had a great view. Lots of plants, flowers, cats, birds, iguanas and lizards, it felt like you were staying in a garden of eden! Lots of shaded parking spaces and shaded places to sit and relax. The only minor trouble was the awkward placement of the airconditioning, which caused the bathroom to be colder than our room. The airconditioning unit is placed in the small space connecting the room and the bathroom, but the door frame blocks most of the cold air. I don’t know if this is specific to our room or if this is the same in all rooms.

Incredible views from the property, salt flats and amazing views of the mountain in one direction, and loads of sunbathing iguanas in the trees in the other direction. it felt so isolated and unique. We had a lodge with an outside living area and kitchen and it was SO hot and humid, and we got eaten alive by the bugs in the evenings. I would've preferred if those areas were inside and had an AC unit. it would've made the stay more comfortable. This is also due to the fact that the lodge is inland, so does not benefit from the cool sea breeze, not their fault!

Matheus (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay at Jan Kok Lodges was excellent! The hosts were very receptive and the structure is very good. I believe the biggest differential is the location. Located right in the middle of the island, you are less than a 5-minute drive from incredible beaches and you won't need more than 30 minutes to get to each end of the island. The view of the flamingo lake is beautiful.

The hosts are very communicative and lovely. We would recommend this place to friends, and come again :) The AC was a bit old and not that effective. The room could be upgraded to a bit more fresh if a higher level of standards is desired but for a more humble traveller this is more than ok :) Not that many restaurants nearby, so good to be prepared for that.

Svetlana (10/5): Exceptional! Piece of Paradise! - We've had a great experience staying at Jan Kok Lodges! The Bungalow was clean, private and had everything we needed for a great vacation. We rented a car from the owners. They picked us up at the airport and dropped us off, too. The check-in process went extremely smoothly. We were given a tour of the place and the premises, and were handed the keys right away. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. Wifi speed was good. The garden looks ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS - like Paradise! The pool was really nice and clean. The place is located within 10-25min from the most beautiful beaches of the island, and about 15-18min from Centrum & Carrefour Supermarkets. We loved the privacy, and peace and quiet at the property. Frederieke was very responsive and helpful! Both, Frederieke and Jeroen made us feel welcome. Bobbie (their dog) was an absolute sweetheart. We couldn't ask for better hosts!

Verified traveler (10/5): - I loved most aspects of this accommodation - our apartment had the best view, in my opinion, and a large terrace which we loved and used a lot! I also especially loved the bed - it was the most comfortable of our entire trip! Pool was great and the lushness of the setting incredible - this is a family-owned business (Dutch couple) and it really shows how proud they are of their property! They are also almost always available and keep a constant eye on things. There were a couple of smaller issues (check-in at 4pm seems rather late to me, and in my opinion, the kitchen facilities could have been slightly better - if a communal outdoor kitchen is advertised but the fridge is not usuable because it's not turned on to save energy, that takes away a bit from the overall awesomeness). But none of this would stop me from staying there again - it's a beautiful place and close to the best beaches of the island (Cas Abao, Porto Maria etc.). I'd recommend booking an apartment vs. one of the studios - the location is better and you have more privacy.

Marcel (8/5): Perfecte uitvalsbasis voor een zorgeloze vakantie. - De fantastische vakantie begon met de ophaalservice van Jan Kok Lodges, zodat je niet half slaperig in een huurauto hoefde te stappen. Doordat we onze huurauto bij de accommodatie hadden gehuurd was deze service ook nog eens gratis. Het appartement met een grote veranda was van alle gemakken voorzien en schoon. Alle appartementen hadden de beschikking over een barbecue waar alle gasten gretig gebruik van maakten om een heerlijk vlees- of visgerecht op tafel te zetten. De eigenaren en personeel waren erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam om je vakantie tot een onvergetelijke te maken. Wat ons betreft is Jan Kok Lodges een uitstekende keus voor een heerlijke en zorgeloze vakantie.
