- Furkanozdogru (10/5): Exceptional staff and flawless service - I stayed at this hotel during my trip to Russia and I was extremely satisfied with my experience. From the reservation stage until my check-in at the hotel, the staff maintained continuous communication with me and never missed any of my requests. The reception team was highly professional and efficient, communicating both in English and through translation when needed. Requests such as a non-smoking room and a high-floor room were fully taken into consideration and carefully arranged. Taxi reservations, directions, and other requests were handled within no more than 5 minutes, which was truly impressive. The housekeeping staff definitely deserves special appreciation. My towels were changed every day, and personal amenities such as shampoo, shower gels, and drinking water were regularly replenished. All of this was done without any disturbance, making my stay very comfortable. The breakfast was rich and varied, offering suitable options for people from different religious backgrounds. The hotel also has a very nice bar, and the location is quite convenient and well situated. I would strongly recommend this hotel without any hesitation. Not only the quality of service but also the attitude and kindness of the staff were outstanding. Thank you to the entire team. When I return, I won’t feel the need to consider any other alternative. Looking forward to seeing you again soon.

I got the single room and it was big enough for one person but I really thing it also would be good for two people. Very clean room, enough warm for winter, there are many coffee shops and restaurants near by. The breakfast was very good. The juice was fresh! The staff was very friendly and I will definitely stay here if I come back to St. Petesburg. I got a very good impression. It was quiet and cozy. The churches are close but it is true that you need to walk a bit. If it is too far for you, you can take the metro. I walked all the way. There is a very nice coffee shop in front of the hotel and a supermarket in the corner. Nice Vietnamese restaurant almost in front of the hotel. Very good, muy bueno, molto bene, muito bem, hen hao, tres bien, sehr gut.
- enjijackson (8/5): Great hotel, would return - Great location, Nevsky prospect just in short walking distance, numerous possibilities of food if you don´t eat in hotel´s restaurant ( very good food). The room was spacious, very clean , towels changed every day, welcome water filled regulary, really softest pillow I had ( from LA to Tokyo). Kudos to the hotel´s barkeeper Astrid who was actually only person who spoke english fluently. I chose the hotel because it was written that reception personel speaking different languages which is not the case. I understand russian a bit being slavic person by myself, otherwise I would do harder. Improvment in this field would be appreciated as service at the restaurant as well. Working in a hotel, restaurant by myself it was just very dissapointing to sit there, seing service running into the kitchen in and out not even greeting you or bring you menu , not talking about my New Years dissaster dinner. I will return if in the city again because the hotel was great but would organize myself better online not needing any help ( or improve my russian language, lol )

- Mustafa2012155019 (10/5): Akyan dreaming - I have stayed at this hotel for 17 days and honestly God it's an amazing one for the price and the quality we paid for. Centrally located on a quite Vostanya street. The room 328 was amazing and the amentias are top. Breakfast is very good with a variety of everything from coffee to Eclairs. Workers were soo friendly and helpful anywhere; Biggest kudos go to the cleaning ladies who do such an amazing job with a smile on their face. Highly recommending if you are looking for hotels in St Petersburg. Thank you so much Akyan and looking forward to seeing you in the future.
- NatashaKalashnikova (8/5): The hotel is very good however some things can be improved - The hotel is very good and we did enjoy our stay. However some things can be improved: 1. You can request a tea cattle but it comes without tea bags. You can purchase tea or coffee in the restaurant however it would be a nice gesture to leave some tea bags or instant coffee in the room. Costs nothing to be nice! 2. Sound isolation is not 100% working: we requested a quite room which means we got a yard view, no street noise but we got the construction noises. Also you still can hear noises from upstairs and corridor.

- AERON (10/5): - A 4-star hotel with a 5-star service!I was really happy with how I was treated during my stay at this fabulous hotel. First of all, this hotel is very central. There are plenty of restaurants, bars, transportation links within walking distance from the hotel. We arrived super early in the morning and was allowed to check in early at a really minimal cost. I opted for the rooms with breakfast option - breakfast was great! Hotel staff surprised me with a birthday cake and a bottle of champagne on my birthday! It was a really nice touch, top-notch service!
- Joohan (8/5): Comfort room, a distance to metro - A great boutiques hotel with comfort bed and quiet surrounding. To me, it isn't near to metro, but no problem for 4 of us where we used Yandex Taxi most of the time. If u travel by foot, should consider if u can handle walking under winter.

It remained at 30 degrees Celcius all four nights I stayed at the hotel. Hotel staff was great, especially the young lady who worked at the front desk. Very convenient to restaurants, shopping, etc.

I had the impression that it was bigger when I looked at the pictures. The staff is excellent however, the rooms clean and the restaurant in the first floor is a bit pricy compared to all of the pubs, cafes and restaurants in the area but the food was fantastic and was worth the extra couple of Rubels and the staff really helpful on personal requests. Very caring hotel. I'd Recommend it to my friends.

Menu changed daily on hot dishes. The room was pristine and with many amenities. The location of the hotel was also convenient. Walking distance to city center and all the shopping and attractions it had to offer. When I needed a taxi to go he train station, the concierge got a quote beforehand to make sure I didn’t get ripped off by the driver. Their concerns for the guests seemed genuine.

The location is good to take in the right part of Nevsky prospect from the train station to the Hermitage. Would definitely go back.

- david (10/5): Beautiful hotel Ideal for couples - This is a beautiful hotel, that feels stylish without being stuffy. The rooms are a good size, with desk and separate toilet/shower. Wi-fi is good for hotel standards, although finding the plug sockets is a little challenging. Breakfast is good and plentiful, and includes both Russian and European dishes, I ate in the bar/restaurant on two evenings, and it compared well to local options. Whilst it is well situated it’s a good walk to places like the hermitage, I used uber to take me to the gallery and walked backed steadily stopping to drink and see further sights. Whilst there were young families staying it is not ideal, as it has a small lift and lobby, they seemed fine, it perhaps somewhere with a little more room in shared areas might be more suitable. But for couples or business it’s great

Check-in was quick, breakfast offers variety of choices , restaurant staff were very attentive, they immediately clears out used plates and utensils, and very helpful in every way. The reception staff are very welcoming and professional , efficient and very helpful. . The porters are very efficient in taking care of our luggages and has even gone out of his way to call Uber for us to take us to the airport. There is one important advice I have for the visitors and tourists in St Petersburg: use Uber for your taxi transport. Hailing taxi in the streets will cost you a lot. If you’re dining out and you have no Uber apps , request the restaurant staff to call for you. Even better, tip your waiter good and he will gladly perform this additional service, it is much cheaper than the amount the taxis from the street will charge you. The two were like " chalk and cheese". So glad we made the move. A lovely room with an excellent bathroom and shower. The included breakfast provided many options and the best we'd had throughout China, Mongolia and Russia. Close to restaurants , bars and shopping. Highly recommended for the price
- Doris (10/5): - We travel frequently to different countries. This hotel is the one that we liked the most from all our travels. The hotel staff is very friendly and the service is the best. We asked where we can find ice and a wine opened. A few minutes later, someone came to the room with a beautiful tray with a bucket of ice, two wine glasses and a wine opener. The room was always clean and the AC worked well. The hotel restaurant is very elegant and the food is great.

- Ari (8/5): Clean, Central, Convenient - Akyan is a nice hotel located well in the center of St. Pete, like 5 min walking away from Nevsky Prospect, the main street, and 4 min to the nearest subway station. There are plenty of restaurant and bars really near. The rooms are small, but looks alright and convenient, at least for one person. There is no gym/swimming pool in the hotel, but that's the price you pay for being central. The room was cleaned everyday, and the bede is comfy. Breakfast was fine, there were vegetables, eggs, fruits, cheese, etc.

- Karl (10/5): Great Hotel, Room, Location, and Staff - I stayed there for 10 days/nights, and couldn't be happier with everything. Aleksey and Julia spoke very good English, and assisted with any questions I had. I miss the morning Breakfast buffet, which was excellent. Short walk to Mayavaska Metro and the Nevsky Prospect. The Amacord restaurant, which is right around the corner, was one of the best I found in the City, off the Rue Joukovski, which has a lot of nice pubs and restaurants, and not as crowded as the Nevsky. 24-hour grocery store three doors down, was also helpful. Cleaning staff would leave bottled water everyday, and even did my laundry two times (for a nominal fee). -All-in-all, I would give the Akyan 5 stars. My room was quiet and comfortable, exactly as it was shown in the photo. The air-conditioning worked great, and fancy bathroom. I also used the safe everyday. -Until Next time.
- Hossein (4/5): Just better that a hostel! - It was hotel, but not exactly like a hotel. Not very far from Novskey st, but was in an area which wasn't as nice as city centre. The room wasn't as nice and big as the photos, neither the hotel. Breakfast area had different type of breakfast, but very basic furniture.

- Rod (10/5): Great service, great food! - Staff at Akyan could not have been more helpful & the laundry service was very prompt. We used the shuttle service from the airport which was courteous, efficient & reasonable. The buffet breakfast was generous with plenty of hot and cold choices. The building is old but well maintained. The rooms though quite small have been recently refurbished & the bathrooms are well appointed.

- Verified traveler (8/5): A Haapy guest - This is a good hotel although at first glace it doesnt look so great. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. There is a good if limited resturant open all hours. The room was very comfortable, clean and of a very good size. We did have a problem with the safe and airconditioning, but it was fixed very quickly.
- Gardensail (10/5): - Interesting Russian hotel (why stay at an international chain if you want to experience more of the country?) with good location, very comfortable room, and super-friendly staff with excellent English skills. The breakfast was great. The only problem was there was no hot water in the morning, unfortunate as we were embarking on a 23 hour journey home. St Petersburg, like many (maybe most) Russian cities, has municipal hot water. The hotel said they have an emergency boiler, but it never got the water hot. They also said to just keep running it... which, if you are trying to get the water to heat, means noone will ever get hot water. Perhaps failure of the hot water system is rare, and everything else was excellent so I'd still recommend the Akyan!
- East38th (8/5): Very Nice Hotel - This is a very nice hotel. It isn't super close to the Hermitage Museum (about 3 kilometers), so my advice is to get a taxi or Uber when going to the museum. We walked to the museum the first day, so we were a bit tired when we arrived. The museum itself involves a lot of walking, so arriving a bit tired isn't a good idea. My room (with double bed, which was really queen size by U.S. standards) was very clean and well maintained. They have a restaurant that serves food 24/7, so that was really helpful when you're operating on a Eastern Standard Time schedule. There's also a cute pastry/coffee shop right next store, and a convenience store at the corner of the street. I'd stay again.

Some staff was new to us and some were familiar; all were wonderful. - E (10/5): Beautiful, clean hotel in the center of everything - This was my third visit to St. Petersburg and first stay at Akyan. On future visits to this beautiful city, Akyan will be my first choice of hotels. The hotel was within easy walking distance of most of the sites I was interested in (Hermitage, Russian State Museum, Nevsky Prospect shopping, several cathedrals, ...). It was extremely clean and well-maintained. The staff were all very professional, friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The price was quite reasonable. All in all, a great stay.

The hotel is centrally located near shops, restaurants and a short walk to nearest underground which is simple to use. The staff were very helpful, pleasant and friendly. The hotel and rooms were kept very clean. The hotel was quiet despite there being a number of residents (who we only saw at breakfast) but there was no noise from other guests and sleep was very peaceful, which is important. Staff booked a Folklore show for us and arranged transport to and from theatre.

- Emad (8/5): Nice clean hotel - I took a 1 person bedroom , the bed was comfortable big windows , has safe and small fridge , with tv , the washroom was all Granit and the standing shower was perfect , morning breakfast was one of the best with wide new variety everyday , very helpful staff , only small minus was weak wi-fi connection in the room , but I didn't bother to complain .

This hotel was clearly convenient to the station, Metro and city center attractions. Really comfortable and well appointed. - David (8/5): A good base for a trip to St Petersburg - If you are not staying in the super-central (and quite pricey) area around the Hermitage then this is a good base for the city. It's around a 30 minute brisk (but nice) walk to the area around the Hermiatage. Many restaurants are within a short walk. The Metro and Moscow Station (for the sleeper trains to Moscow) are a short walk away and Finlyandskiy Station (for the trains to Helsinki) is two stops on the Metro. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the wifi was good. There is a good range of food at breakfast and breakfast runs for a good few hours each morning. The room was quiet. I would definitely stay here again. The only (very small) improvement I would request would be tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. The only criticism is that the hotel charged for the evidence of stay (the accommodation voucher and tourist confirmation) needed for our visas, whereas it seems that a lot of hotels (including the other that we stayed at in Russia) did this for free.

If I were looking for a get a way just to relax, this would be the place! However, with so many incredible places to see, who wants to relax?? Close to EVERYTHING!!
