If you are desperate for accommodation and stay here look at the ceiling above the bed for dampness or you could be in for drips on your head in the night. Got a room change around midnight but this room wasn't much better and the noise was horrific. We managed 2 out of 4 nights and had to leave.

- Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away from this hotel. - I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. From the start, the front desk service was poor, with unhelpful and unfriendly staff. The entire hotel had an unpleasant odor. Upon entering my room, I was met with a humid atmosphere and a strong smell of mold. The bathroom was unclean, with visible stains on the toilet and hair on the floor. Additionally, the window had a large crack, which created a dangerous gap when pressed. One of the pillows also smelled damp. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

- Vitor Manuel Cordeiro (6/5): - The property in really convenient to get to from the airport and to walk to most areas in the city. The room just seemed unkept, even though it was cleaned. It had a musky smell, due to the fact there was no ventalitation from the bathroom. On the upside, the pillows were amazing and wasn't a bad size.

Hotel didn't have any room Wifi, they will said about a month, well if you read others review you will know how long "a month" is 2. We have to ask for our room to be clean otherwise they will not clean it 3. Staff have no hospitality experience. Specially front office 4. Overall this hotel have no management, so everything operates within individual capacity to manage. Better go next door hotel it will worth every penny.

- NWF (8/5): - Facilities and service are up to expectations for the price paid. One thing I dislike is that a receipt wasn't issued promptly upon my payment for another night's stay. Other minor details the hotel could look into: (1) no TV guide was available for the TV in the room, or even a list of the channels; (2) only one hook inside bathroom for hanging clothes & towel; (3) water from basin must be controlled carefully or else it splashes powerfully; (4) having Hailam Kopitiam downstairs discourages me from exploring other eating places in KL. Ok this is just a joke! It's a compliment on the wide variety available at all hours. I've stayed at this hotel at least thrice now. Weather-permitting, the hotel is excellently located for exploring the Old Market, Berjaya Times Square, etc.

Especially the Quilt cover inner have many blood stained.The house keeping don't bother to change new washed bedsheet even you feedback to the front desk also useless. Room no sound proof and hear next door room guest talking and corridor people walking and main road vehicles drive passby inside high floor still can hear very nosiy loud sound from the main road. Room heater spoiled. Room floor no mop and basically the room is not tidy up when the previous guess checked out. DON NOT BOOK THIS PUTU HOTEL 99 AT KL !!!!

- meifongt127 (2/5): Dishonesty service - Had a terrible and disagreeable experience at Hotel 99 KLIA Sepang. Never ever use phone call for room reservation as services not provided by the staffs as promised before as per phone conversation. As per phone conversation, the staff said can pay when walk in after done room reservation and no booking number was given. However when reach there, I had told by the staffs that hard to find my reservation details without booking number. Then I requested them to search for my name's alphabets. After few minutes, the staffs told me that my booking had cancelled as my two rooms had reserved by those customers who had paid via online. I was so shocked and questioned them why did they accepted my reservation and assured me to pay when walk in visit them at the counter. They replied that they had called me up regarding this matter two days ago before my visit. Room reservation had been cancelled without my consent just because I didn't pick up their phone call. I can't really understand why would they not bother spend few minutes to message via WhatsApp or other free cost messaging systems. Two suggestions for this hotel to be good service provider: - Make clear with the room reservation and payment methods. - Besides using phone call for communication purpose, may use other popular free messaging service providers such as WhatsApp, Wechat, Line and etc.

I travel with my kid below 12, booked 2 rooms, asking for rooms next to each other. My request was early in the morning, the receptionist promise and confirmed already arranged for me through phone. - Xuankieu91 (4/5): never stay again - this hotel is located in China town and easy to visit attraction places in Kuala Lumpur. When i came to this hotel, i met the person who is Chinese but i though he is Vietnamese. He was really nice to us with fresh smile to welcome. However, the disapeared things are smell in room ( i though that it was smoking smell) and yellow water, dirty beds and didn’t have slippers for us in room. We asked the receptionist what’s happened with water system which made us cannot took shower or even brushed our teeth. So, the receptionist just told to us due to water system of the city was problem. and they didn’t give us two bottle of water to use instead of yellow water in the room. so boring....... the advantages of this hotel are the guy who did smile with us and kindly and location, and other things was really bad.
- TurismoIsMyPassion (10/5): This review is for Mr. Samir from frontdesk - We arrived at around 3 am at the hotel with no malaysian ringgit on hand from Singapore border and also our booked check in is aug 21-24 but arrived at the hotel around aug 21 of very early morning. We have nothing to pay the taxi since our money are still in singaporean dollars. We tried our best to borrow some cash from the hotel but, as the hotel policy it is not allowed since they are night shift and needed to turn back in the remittance before 7am. We are thankful to Mr. SAMIR from frontdesk who is on duty that time. He lends us some MYR to pay the taxi and this is from his own pocket. We told him that we will just pay him once we change our SGD to MYR. Due to our booking was not the day we arrived we just get another room for us to stay. Location: the location of the hotel was about 10mins walk to chinatown or central market. So no need for transportation. Also, if you are more on walking you can also walk from hotel to Merdeka Square, once you arrive at central market, at the end of it was the merdeka square and KL city gallery. It is really easy to roam around. Rooms: it is spacious enough as well as the bathrooms. There are toiletries, bottled water, coffees/teas. It is just that the AC is not working well. I hope management can check it, it is room 9307. Transportation: if you are coming from KLIA/TBS (thru Singaporean border), it is easy to stay here coz Pudu Sentral bus station is there (across the hotel). There are bus to/from KLIA. Actually after check out, we go to Pudu Sentral for bus transfer to KLIA, about an hour travel but very check just 12 MYR. Breakfast: There's another hotel I am seeing, same price, same rating and almost same review, but I chose Hotel 99 due to its included breakfast. But, I hope they can improve it coz we have 4 breakfast while we are stating there but unfortunately, they have the same menu every day. I hope they can improve their menu. Staffs: All of them are very accommodating and friendly. Also, I don't know if they were also staying in the hotel grounds if they are off duty. Coz across our rooms feels like it is their space. For that, I want to commend the management, they are allowing for their staffs to stay in the ground even they are off duty and even they are off duty they still manage to help us. Again, thank you hotel 99 for the wonderful stay specially again to Mr. Samir, I hope the management commends you for helping us. Thank you so much!

- narendras305 (6/5): Stay @ Hotel 99 - The hotel is opposite bus station and walking distance to china town, Sri Ganesha Temple and 10 minutes from KL city centre. The room is having individual Split A/C. It takes ages to cool the room even at 16deg. The breakfast average with very limited Veggie options. The room provides basic amenities.
- potatotee (2/5): Never ever again - I was checking in at Hotel 99 last Saturday sometime around 3.30pm and was attended by Sharmila and Azrul at the check in counter. I had called the property much earlier and was confirmed a smoking room upon arrival as per the photo of the room (with an ashtray in the room) I'd book for. However, Sharmila and Azrul were being extremely rude and uncooperative and had resulted in shouting at me and my guests for the no request put up by their reservations department. The discrepancy between their systems and departments had even resulted in them having not enough rooms for other guests. I am deeply disappointed with the booking I've made. The room that I'd requested for does not match up with the room that I've been given and had thus put up at a different hotel via walk in. I am greatly dissatisfied that I've received a no show by property and thus will be charged a night. I've even made full payment in cash at property however requested for an immediate refund with the lack of professionalism as to how Sharmila and Azrul had handled the situation. (Sharmila insisted a no refund at first). Shouting at guests, making faces at them, and washing them hands off the matter is not what I'd expect with my booking. Once and never again. Att: 2 Images Rude Sharmila. Shouted at me for the discrepancies their management has. I am aware that they only have 10 smoking rooms and I'd called in earlier to confirm for one! Rude Azrul is a trainee at the moment. He joined in shouting at me and my guests after Sharmila.

The check in timing was stated on hotels. Com at 2pm but they say its 330pm and anything earlier will pay extra and so I paid extra $50 more. Before check in I say I will only stay 2 nights and ask if can refund the 3rd night or inform hotels. Com and they said no. I felt cheated by all these extra charges. Service by the staff is terrible too.

- Colin (4/5): - We had booked for 4 nights here, but after seeing the room we were very disappointed, it was very basic and tired. There were marks all over the table, a towel hanger in the bathroom was hanging off, and the safe didnt close properly and when i tried to close it, the door fell off. The safe itself was attached to a shelf in the wardrobe, but this shelf was nt fixed to the frame and could be lifted out. Not very "safe". We checked out the next morning, as we couldn't face staying there for 3 more nights.

- Sharifah Erfarieza (6/5): Hotel is more for business trips. - The hotel is clean but service is quite low as sometimes you to request for basic things such as water bottles and coffee or tea although sometimes they don’t come to clean your room. Had one experience seeing a lizard and small cockroach in my room. Staff are friendly and wifi service is very fast. View from hotel is quite simple and hotel surrounded with few markets like 7eleven, Vmart and Hailam Resturant. Note: Hair dryer was broken.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Nor very clean and very noisy - The hotel is conveniently located in Bukit Bintang, just minutes away from Central Marker and Alor food night market. The hotel looks okay but my room wasnt very clean, brown stain on floor and walls, even some black stain on my pillow. In the bathroom, there is no shampoo but 2 bottles of bath gel one green and one purple. Not sure if it was just my room but phone signal was very weak or none. There is free Wi-Fi but unstable sometimes. Worst of all, I was given a connecting room which has a door in your room to access the next room directly. The door is not very sound proof, I could hear my neighbor sneezing, burping, showering, blow drying hair.. everything loud and clear. Plus there is a alarm on the hotel room door which goes off if you don't close the door within 5 seconds or something, so besides the noise from my neighbour, the noise from the hallway was annoying too. I complained to the staff at 1am and they werent apologetic, but willing to help. A staff came up to investigate and asked my neighbor to keep noise level down. (But it wasn't my neighbors fault for getting a connecting room with no sound proof door) Overall, it is a okay hotel if you like the location and you are a sound sleeper and not picky about the cleanliness and if you don't need to use your cell phone to make calls. Next time I would rather pay more to stay at a better hotel.

- Kishor (6/5): OK but there are better alternatives - Rooms are rather compact, although they appear larger in the pictures. Check in was OK. Wi-Fi was OK. Kettle in the room, but no cups. Hardly any place to dump your luggage. No fridge. Bathroom is tiny – the shower head is practically on top of the toilet. Window, but not much of a view as they built this chip board wooden façade to house the TV & a small wardrobe. Not good value for money as there are many more hotels in KL offering better quality rooms. Location is good for all sightseeing.

Bath room should put up a shower curtain to prevent the floor from getting wet (can be very wet and floor also slippery after the shower).Chinatown and LTR station also nearby.A lot of convenience shops.Stay is a pleasant one. Will come back again.

Now for the not so good experience.I requested for a non-smoking room months prior to my stay. They put me in a non smoking romm but on a smoking floor. I am astmatic so i always request for non smoking areas. It was terrible. I was coughing the whole stay there. I told them ablut this and they responded that it was a holiday and the hotel was fully booked. I had to wear a mask the whole time. Dont stay thee if you a asthmatic. The room needs some work out when it comes to cleanliness. The waste materials stick on the sealant of the toilet bowl at the bottom portion. There is also a residue of waste on the sealant of the sink.

- Angry Boy (2/5): Noisiest Hotel I have stayed - Stayed 5 nights in Feb 2017. Changed room THREE times & yet so noisy. Noises came from staff at Midnight onwards. They might be cleaning or god knows what they were doing. Room had cockroaches and ants. Never will I stay in this hotel. Bad choice. But the only good thing is that LRT was so close & staff friendly and hotel was about 30 USD.

At the check in, they had to give me an upgrade (to the later cockroaches´s room) because the photos of the "standard" room I booked in Expedia belong to the "Suite" room.

Even when we stayed at a place that had bed bugs, I could not bring myself to leave a bad review because our host was a very poor local gentleman who was very nice and may have lost his job if we complained. Hotel 99 was a great disappointment. I have stayed in some poor places, but they never pretended to be something they were not. Hotel 99 on the other hand, gets a 1 star from me because of their outright misrepresentation of their property. It is a very poor and dirty hotel, but on the booking website they have staged photos that make the place look fantastic! These photos are a complete fabrication! I'll list the pros and cons below and you can decide if you think its worth the stay. Since I am actually an optimist, I'll start with the pros. 1) Good central location within walking distance or a short train ride of most city centre attractions. 2) Nice powerful hot water shower. 3) Bed with no bed bugs (which can be quite common in low budget hotels) 4) Nice well kept reception area 5) Great price Cons - this list is long so I'll mention just a few 1) Sick and sick stains on the floor in the corridor. 2) Numerous cockroaches in the bedroom. 3) Very poor wifi 4) Very poor air con, that turns off when you leave the room, so it takes 2 hours to cool the room after you enter 5) Ladies of the night applying their trade next door. 6) People smoking everywhere so smoke enters your room

- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Place - Hotel 99 was good. The staff were not so much friendly, but they provided help when requested. It's in front of the metro station (Plaza Rakyat) which facilitated movement a lot. It was surrounded by many restaurants and fast food places and street markets. The room was a little bit tiny, but we managed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nicely spacious. Housekeeping was good but the forget to put stuff like shower gel, so we had to ask them. The TV was okay, needed more English channels. The room was clean on the first two days and then BOOM small cockroaches every now and then. We didn't mention anything to them so maybe they would've fixed it. The room lighting was so nice and romantic. The drapes were okay but needed to cover the whole window more as I woke up from slightest sunlight. Overall, the place is nice and good for the money paid in it.

- Ken (2/5): Not a nice hotel to stay in - The room is very small. There is no much space for luggage. The walls are very thin. We can hear people from the other rooms, upstairs and downstairs, and corridor all the time. You hear toilet flushing and people taking a bath all the time. The bathroom is not well designed. The who place is wet after a shower because of the layout. They do not allow you to have more than 1 room card, even when there are 2 adults staying in the room. The wifi is woeful. My 3g card is much faster. The location is not great too. would select another location next time. It is not near shopping centres or public transport. Luckily there is Uber and Grab, otherwise we are left with Taxi drivers, and not know how much it will cost to get to places. Air conditioner doesn't work well. Takes a long time to cool down and can be quite noisy when you start it up initially. Stay at your own risk.

GOOD THINGS TO CONSIDER: * Reasonable rate. * Friendly staff. * Hotel 99 is in a convenient location for you to go right to Chinatown, Central Market (5-10 minutes walk through Pudu Central on the other side of the street) and left to other attractions in KLCC & Golden Triangle areas: 15-20 minutes walk to Pavillion shopping centre (best shopping centre), 8-10RM by taxi; 10 minutes to Low Yat Plaza if you want to buy electrical stuff such as mobile phones etc. * There is a safe in the room for your passports 2. BAD THINGS TO AWARE: *Wifi is up and down. *Air conditioning is slow. *The hotel will give you only one key (50RM deposit when check in) to enter your room so if one of you want to sleep in the room, the other person will wake you up when he or she returns (some hotels will give you 2 keys). *Breakfast is monotone with fried rice, noodle, egg, potato or chip & chicken sausages everyday (you can't expect more for what you pay). Should have breakfast in Chinatown or Jalan Alor (back street, 5 minutes walk). Remember food is cheap in KL. 3: Close to a Catholic church (on the other side of the street 5 minutes walk; 9:30am Sunday mass in English; however the parish priest will have 90 minutes mass with a long homily). 4. You don't need to arrange transport from airport to the hotel because it will be cheaper (and easy) to book a taxi to go to the hotel at level 1 in KLIA2 with metered taxi or buy a coupon (approximately 75-80 RM from airport to Hotel 99)

- Verified traveler (2/5): The worst experience in my life - The room is very small and Wi-Fi is very weak , Room service Enter your room without your permission , Bed is not clean at all, look under the bed and you know what I mean , the bed has red bugs in it , i wake in the morning and i found out that i get red bugs bite 5 time in my back It was very painful , I strongly advise you to not book this hotel.

- Malanore (8/5): Regarding internet connection - One important thing to do is to install wifi hotspots everywhere. The signal in my room was so bad that I couldn't even connect. I had to go to the lobby each time to have a good enough signal and internet speed.
- Wayland (8/5): Free late check out - I booked the Deluxe Queen Room here listed as 20 m2. I measured about 19 m2, so that sounds about right. There's not much to do at night around here. For bars and nightlife, you are going to have to take a taxi/Uber. They let me check out at 2pm without charging me extra, which was nice.

I like the space in the room as an easy way for us to perform our prayers. I like the free breakfast service at Hailam Kopitiam just below the hotel, they provide varieties of choices. A recommended place to stay with family and friends.
