- dianeeF7333XB (4/5): Checked out early, cannot recommend - I stayed here while attending a conference and was assigned a room in the Tazewell building. Unfortunately, I ended up checking out early due to the condition of the room. From the moment I arrived, the room had a strong wet dog smell. The cleanliness was extremely disappointing for a Marriott property, especially one in the Autograph Collection. There was an unidentified white stain on the chair, crumbs under the desk, dirty carpet, dust caked onto the AC vent, stains on the nightstand, and a worn, grimy-looking desk. One of the lampshades even had a large stain on it. The bathroom was tiny, the sinks were oddly low, and the bathtub drained very slowly. The curtains were only room-darkening with no sheer layer, which made the room feel even more closed in. The worst part came the next day. I returned to the room between conference sessions hoping to take a nap after being awake for nearly 24 hours due to my night-shift schedule, only to find the wet dog smell had become even stronger. At that point, I simply couldn’t deal with it anymore, so I packed my things and left early. I honestly cannot believe this is a Marriott property, let alone part of the Autograph Collection. Earlier this month I stayed at a much less expensive Hilton-branded hotel that was immaculate by comparison. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel, and it has seriously made me reconsider staying at Marriott-branded properties in the future.

- G7509OFjohnl (10/5): Excellent hotel - Spent 4 nights at the Lodge and it was a comfortable..clean...spacious room in a perfect location to see all of Colonial Williamsburg. Stayed in a junior suite in the main building. The staff throughout the hotel was friendly and helpful. Breakfast offers both buffet and a la carte offerings and you have every breakfast item you could ask for. The bar and restaurant was excellent. Shannon is an ideal bar keeper and very friendly and makes some wonderful cocktail concoctions. Only complaint is the hours that the restaurants and market shop keep...on one day there was no food or drink available between 11 and 4. Not convenient when you often stop back at the hotel after visiting the village. Thankfully the Williamsburg Inn...which is close by does offer an open bar and restaurant during lunch hour and before dinner.. But..all in all the Lodge is a very good choice and a great place to stay when visiting Williamsburg.

- michelleR4674WP (6/5): Not the greatest... - Honestly? It was pretty disappointing from start to finish. We arrived and were not greeted and were unsure of where to go. Even when I waited at registration, I wasn't greeted. I was called over like an assembly line. It was super confusing then to find our room. And our room was ok but not great. The shower clogged and pooled water. The parking garage is not super convenient, is self-park, and you get charged $30/day for it. There were a couple super stars - mostly some behind the scenes me we ran into for maintenance, etc who were so lovely and helpful. Otherwise, we felt like noone cared we were there and even overheard the restaurant staff complaining about guests. Not a great experience.
- chmido (2/5): Beyond need of a renovation. - We have been staying at the lodge for over 30 years. It is so beyond need of a renovation, It is unbelievable at this point. We have noticed that the last two times we've stayed on Marriott points and have been given rooms that were even worse than the other rooms. This time we were placed in a room that was right next to a hospitality room in the main lodge where they were serving food and our whole room smelled like food and gross. In addition to the smell, it was the smallest sink I've ever seen in a Marriott room. They claimed that there was only one other room they could move us to, which was even worse with the same small sink, broken dirty fabric shades, and falling apart old furniture. They stopped live music in the bar area, the lobby, furniture and public areas are overrun with children and staff can't keep up with the coffee, café area and breakfast. All it has going for it at this point is a good location. I find it hard to believe it can still be considered an autograph level at this point.
- sc783 (10/5): Great Family Stay - This is the perfect hotel for family travel. We debated between the Inn and the Lodge and ultimately went with the Lodge on the suggestion that it was better for families. We're glad we did. The location is perfect - right down the street from Colonial Williamsburg. You can easily walk everywhere. The hotel itself is great as it features a large lobby, restaurants and bar, and coffee shop. We had a great dinner in the bar at Sweet Tea & Traditions, which has a solid kids' menu. Staff were helpful and friendly, especially the gentlemen at the front door who always had a smile and joked with our kids. We had a suite in the main hotel which was perfect for our needs, though the bathroom was a bit small and the room showed some signs of a less-than-100% renovation. You may have a newer room if you request a space in one of the buildings across the courtyard.

I think it was $18 for buffet breakfast. Would I stay here again, maybe. Facilities are a bit old and run down. I get it, it’s supposed to be the “historic” vibe but to me it looks worn down. Main building is nice, rooms need updated furnishing. Plenty of parking, people are nice, food is decent, location is great.

Colonial houses are awesome, too but the Lodge is the grand dame with all the amenities. She's a timeless classic-- beautifully appointed, spacious rooms that are spotlessly clean and bright. Comfortable beds. Great on-site restaurants, gorgeous, comfortable public spaces to chill out in and a truly wonderful staff! The location is PERFECT-- smack dab in the center of Colonial Williamsburg, a quick walk to Merchant Square and William & Mary. Park your car upon arrival then no need to drive again while visiting. This is a very special property that we return to every chance we get!
- H5152PVrobertd (6/5): Disappointing! - I've stayed here several times in the past and was eager to return again this year. My stay was OK, but t could have been much better. When I booked three months before my stay, I was offered a room in the main building. Since I had never stayed in the main building previously, I accepted that room. When I arrived, I was initially given a room in the South Guesthouse. I mentioned that my original reservation was for a room in the main building. It took a while, but eventually I was given a room in the main building. (It's nice to be able to get to the breakfast restaurant without having to go outside in winter.) I had three complaints about the room. As a silver Marriott Bonvoy member, I was entitled to premium internet. The internet was very slow and erratic during my stay. I complained numerous times, both to the tech support number and the front desk. They reset the internet several times, but their was no improvement. (When I stayed in other buildings, I did not have a problem with the internet.) Secondly, my room was very cold. I set the thermostat to 73 degrees, but it was still cold. I complained several times. Eventually I noticed the thermostat in my room was set to 79 degrees. It sure did not feel like 79 degrees, but the room was finally at a comfortable temperature. Thirdly, the hot water in the sink took a very long time to heat up. It was OK for washing my hands and face, but I like to shave with hot water. (The hot water in the shower came on much faster.) On the positive side, the location can't be beat. The staff did their best to be helpful.

- KelleyH130 (6/5): More like 2.5 stars-Disappointing - I took my mom (and dog) to Colonial Williamsburg for 4 days over Xmas. I chose this property because 1) it is a Marriott Autograph property,; 2) the location; and 3) I could bring my dog. (For $150 extra) I should have read the reviews before choosing this hotel. It doesn’t meet Marriott standards, much less Autograph. One gets the sense that they’ve got a great location, but they’ve let a lot run down. It’s a shame. The room had a broken door latch, broken fridge (they did swap it out with a working one), and scratched, old furniture. There are zero room amenities. No shower cap, laundry bag, etc. The use of a microwave or a robe would have been an extra $25! Service was spotty-some employees were helpful and kind, while others did not hide the fact that they resented working over the holidays. All in all it was a big disappointment, and an awful ROI.
- TikalTatras (8/5): Great place but not really "Autograph" material at this point - Staying on property @ Williamsburg is wonderful. Between events up and down the Duke of Gloucester St, you can duck into your hotel to warm up (winter time) or grab some food. We stayed here 8 years ago (pre Marriott) in the older southern guesthouse section with wooden walls and floors. Charming. This time we were in Nicholas, one of 2 northern buildings and close to parking. The furniture is a mis-mash of styles. The older colonial pieces were badly scratched (which could easily be re-stained) but other pieces were total out of time and character. "Autograph" should be celebrating its place and heritage. The artwork looked like leftovers from a Marriott done in "agreeable grey." There is no shortage of colonial imagery, maps and reproduction artifacts. So where are they. The great parts: Staff, Cleanliness, bed and linen quality, housekeeping and location. Value: yes...but not with the "Autograph" tag. Will return? Yes... and just hoping for a furniture and art change.

The first night we were in the lobby and someone called the police on us. We are not that kind of family we were just talking to loud I guess. I should have made sure before we booked about a place away from others.

I have been staying with Marriott all over the world as much as I can, but a $30 dollar parking is just a highway robbery. This is just unjust for customers.

I have stayed in many autograph Marriott properties and this one is an embarrassment! Whoever rates hotels within the Marriott chain and rates this as an autograph collection should be fired. Last month I stayed in the autograph collection Cavalier on the Hill in Virginia Beach and it was an amazing hotel. Here at the Williamsburg Lodge, it might as well be an Econolodge.

- hollyb743 (6/5): Mixed review - We have stayed at The Lodge five times before without incident and, obviously, enjoyed it enough to return. And, in spite of what happened this trip we are likely to return for our next visit to Williamsburg. I booked a 7 night stay in a Junior Suite the end of December 2024. The required deposit of over $650 was posted to my credit card on January 2, 2025. During the month of December 2025 I received multiple emails from The Lodge about our upcoming arrival on December 10. When I tried to check-in the afternoon of the 10th, I was told they couldn't accommodate us in the reserved room. I was offered a smaller room without any other compensation or explanation. I pointed out I made the reservation almost a year earlier, paid a deposit, and by the terms of the contract, had I been the one to renege I would have lost my deposit. I was then told I could have the reserved Jr. Suite for the first night but would then have to vacate to a different room. I might have understood if someone else who was in the room refused to vacate, or if the computer system had overbooked, but this made no sense to me. After about 20 minutes of managers talking behind a closed door (literally) I was told we could have the room I reserved a year earlier for all 7 nights. The rest of the stay went without incident. Housekeeping and restaurant staff are very friendly. Multiple food options within the hotel and a nice gift shop. The location is outstanding, just a very short walk to the heart of happenings in Williamsburg. The Jr. Suite itself is two rooms with ample space. Very comfortable mattress. (We prefer firm over soft and this one suited us.) Two sinks in the large bathroom. The HVAC system is unbelievably quiet. The Fitness Room across the street at The Inn is top notch. On the downside, there is only one thermostat for both rooms. Two other big disappointments - the wooden floors creak loudly with every step, especially in the bedroom and there is no view. We have been in four different Jr. Suite rooms over the years and only one of the four had a view out the window of something other than a rooftop. So, all in all, if location is your primary concern, you couldn't do better if you are seeking a hotel environment. Clean, comfortable (except for creaking floors), convenient breakfast option, friendly auxiliary staff.

We cannot review the breakfast because it was not included with our stay. The staff we talked to were very nice and welcoming. Our room costs $476. per night for the weekend nights. Sunday night was about $100.00 less. It was surprising to us that the cost did not include breakfast or car parking. My husband thinks it was because we were booked through a third party? I am not sure. Our room was very far from the main hotel. We literally got lost trying to find it a couple of times. We had to take our luggage to the room ourselves and had to walk outside to get to the building we were in. The room did not have tissue, the bathroom was not as clean as it should have been (an older room, which is fine if cleaned properly). On the third day I went up to the lobby to get some water, which was not offered to us when we checked in. There were no bottles of water in our room. It had a little patio but only 1 chair.

This is a very quiet hotel as we could hear no traffic noise or any of our neighbors. Rooms are larger than most hotel rooms. Breakfast was very good with choice of buffet or off the menu. In our case it was included. This is a very big place with the spa and swimming pool across the street. Lots of onsite parking. If every returning to Williamsburg, I'd stay here again

Perhaps the worst check-in experience with two clerks (slowly) working a lobby full of guests. As for the food, bland chicken dishes in a variety of presentations. Overall, not a very impressive display of a quasi-convention type hotel.

She helped us with tickets or historic Williamsburg and shuttle service to Busch Gardens. The hotel is clearly well managed and service based. It’s an established location and they are frequently updating and refreshing the hotel and amenities to keep it fresh. We’ve stayed here 3-4 times and will be back again.
- teachergirl45 (6/5): Needs an upgrade - This is my second year staying here for the VAASL conference. I also gave it an average review last year. The good: 1) Everyone is friendly. Your doormen deserve a raise. Those guys are great. 2) The food is good. I had 3 fabulous meals at Sweet Tea & Barley, and 2 delicious homemade muffins at the little café. 3) My bed was very comfortable, as were the linens. They also left me extra towels, as requested. 4) You're pretty close to Merchant Square. It's about a 10 minute walk. The Not-So-Good 1. There is NO PLACE TO GET COFFEE until 6:30 when the little cafe opens. It's run by a lovely French woman who sometimes has help. But there's literally a line to go in and get coffee. Why do Comfort Inns and cheaper hotel chains have coffee all day long and the Lodge does not? I complained about this in last year's review. No one heard me. Trust me when I say that people were complaining about this. 2. Rooms are hit or miss. Last year I was in Tazewell. This year I had a room in South. The room was pretty and comfortable, but the bathroom was so small that I had very little room to put my toothbrush on it. There was no place to spread out my makeup, hairdryer, etc. Getting ready was tough. The shower takes up 1/2 the bathroom. Also, someone had rigged up my curtain with a piece of rope. I had to fiddle with it just to get the curtain down my first evening. I called about it the next day, and Ebony (great manager) asked to come down. She was going to have it replaced, but then called me to tell me the curtain was on back-order. This should have been logged into the computer for the desk staff so I could have been in a different room. I was pleased, however, that Ebony came down and took pictures. I found that some of my work friends had fancy rooms, others had rooms that weren't as cleaned....it really depends on what part of the hotel you get. The Lodge is full of charm and beautifully decorated in the main area. But I do think many of the rooms need to be upgraded.

- Gl0bej0gger (8/5): Convenient Location with high-end vacation prices - We were part of a group of 28. Our room was in the newer building at the back of the hotel. Large nice room with refrigerator and balcony. Could hear couple next door because the room had a connecting door. Our room was on third floor but the ice machines on 2nd and 3rd floors were not working. Only the first floor machine was in operation. Breakfast food was good. Banquet dinner only so-so because it was way too salty. Very close to historic area. Common sitting areas were large and welcoming. The front desk staff did not disclose the $15/night fee for parking in the hotel's garage. Garage was a bit sketchy with creaky elevators and large puddles of standing water. At prime checkout time, there was a line of eight persons and only one front desk person! And, just to be clear, besides us, none of the other 8 persons were part of our group. We did not know any of them!

- haileee614 (4/5): Absurd this is an Autograph Collection hotel - We paid almost $500 a night for our room. Upon getting home and opening the emailed folio, saw that $30 a night parking was charged, which was not disclosed on booking, checkin or checkout. If we had known, we would have parked elsewhere. Really obscene considering the price of the room. The rooms themselves were of a hampton inn level if that - the mattress and pillows were old and lumpy; the headboards dont fit the beds so one could not sit up in bed and pillows fell to the floor; lamps missing lightbulbs; the shower sprayed water everywhere and there was mold in the corners of the bathroom as I am sure this is an ongoing problem. Check in was brusque with no explanation of where to pickup CW tickets, checkout no better and no one asked how the stay was. I sent a query to the front desk after returning home and never got any response.

- hbhakh (8/5): Nice stay - We spent 3 nights at this hotel while visiting the historic area of Williamsburg. The Lodge is in a great location, just a block from the historic sites. It's easy to walk to the sites as well as restaurants. All of the staff are very helpful. Check in was fairly easy but they initially gave us the wrong keys. It was easily fixed. We like the junior suites in the main building as they are spacious, offering a separate bedroom. Our room was clean and well maintained. Housekeeping is provided daily, which we appreciate. When we arrived, the safe was not functioning. I reported this when we left for dinner but it was not repaired until the following day. We had stayed in the same room on a prior visit and I did notice that the shower head, which was loose the first time, remains in a similar condition. It seems like this should have been repaired. Parking on the property is $30 per day, which seems a little excessive since it used to be included in the room rate. Overall, we enjoy this property and recommend it.

- Basswelder (6/5): Bring Your Wallet - This was in the south guesthouse. This place is pretty old, so I’ll temper my review a bit. First the sink malfunctioned. We can live with it. Lack of wastebaskets, no luggage racks, sluggish AC (which, given time, will freeze the place). A little shabby, baseboard parts falling off, sink legs falling off. Every piece of furniture is mismatched in our room, but in decent repair. It seems like they remove things from the main building and use them in the wing buildings. Bed is comfortable. Shower is nice. Maintenance was using either a power washer or a generator last night after 10:30pm right outside in the parking lot, but it wasn’t too loud. The soundproofing is good. The restaurants here aren’t very good and are very expensive, so unless you want convenience, plan on hitting Richmond Road for breakfast and dinner. The Cupboard is a little place to get coffee and pastries, etc, for exorbitant prices inside the hotel. It’s convenient, but again, very expensive. I just got two coffees, a danish and a muffin and it was $17+. Breakfast was $55. There are few freebies here. No coffee out by the front desk, no continental breakfast. Nothing. Parking is also not free, so plan on spending $10 a day for that. This is a tourist trap, but it’s very convenient to the historic area. We didn’t even use the car for a couple of days. The buses are good and frequent.
- Y3675WEleslieb (6/5): Skip this place - We were placed in a suite which was spacious, but poorly maintained with baseboards falling apart, bathroom sink with problems, peeling or big swatches of damaged paint. The furnishings were a hodgepodge of mismatched items with signs of long wear such as chips, scratches, rings from cups. The coffee table looked like it once had a glass top. The bedroom TV was set on and computer cupboard with pull out for keyboard! This unit had a couple of small drawers for clothing. The bathroom vanity had no counter space. An overhead bathroom light had a bare fluorescent bulb with no globe over it. There was a large closet. Outside the door was a big empty space where an ice machine had apparently been at one time — now gone. While there was a kitchette area with sink, small cube frig and microwave, it was only equipped with a couple of coffee mugs and 4 small glasses. There are Roman shades vs sheers under light blocking drapes, so no way to have natural light and privacy; we kept them closed. On the positive side: it is near the historic area. The unit was clean. Good water pressure. No noise problems. When we overlooked the hair dryer (hung on the ironing board in the closet), it was promptly delivered when we requested one. Housekeeping was also great in keeping us supplied with coffee packets. There were lots of clean towels and washcloths and a magnifying mirror in the bath (so needed and often missing). Credit card points covered the cost; otherwise would be better to stay offsite, go to Visitors Center parking daily and take the shuttle bus into the historic area… you’ll get a better value! 3 stars only because of location and cleanliness. We were in South Guesthouse of The Lodge.

No historic charm, no ice machine. One of the worst Marriott hotels I have ever stayed in. Non-responsive to any input or concerns. There are significantly better options nearby. Don't make the same mistake we did.

It was very small, especially the bathroom which had no counter and poor lighting. The floor of the bedroom had very squeaky floor boards. I could hear people walking around on both sides and I am sure they could hear me. Also, I was charged $30 per day parking which I was not expecting.

- sceneitall57 (4/5): Disappointing - The staff was generally very nice and the location can’t be beat but a Colonial Williamsburg icon is not what it used to be. The rooms, the furniture and facility in general are worn out and really, really dirty. Things are so beat up, we couldn’t even close the bathroom door. It must have been so long since anyone bothered with maintenance issues that the building has had time to settle to where the door literally doesn’t fit the door jamb anymore. And not just a little. The elevator looked like it belonged in a public parking garage. I wonder why the Marriott would allow this to degrade their brand? Must be the gobs of money rolling in regardless. I’ve been coming here for decades but won’t return again. Nothing lasts forever.
- laura (6/5): - Fine stay. But if you are located in one of the back rooms, it takes 5-10 minutes to walk from your room to the parking area—and they charge for parking… which should be better advertised. Place is just okay.
- Thomas (4/5): - My room is a rabbit hutch. The bathroom is closet sized. It has a mirror one quarter size of normal. The room needs renovation. This seems to be a convention center and there is a lengthy wait for a breakfast table. The place is less than ordinary. I was told parking was $25. When I arrived it was raised to $30. Tourist trap

- 762lizzim (4/5): Pick a different Marriott. - Honestly this was such a disappointing experience. Autograph collections are always really great with great staff but that expectation fell short here. No one here mentioned that we could buy our tickets to colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown to save $55 and $10 in parking. They also gave us two options of rooms 1 right next to where everyone smoked and stayed out talking all night (great for your sleeping child) or the room next to a dog that spent the entire 5 minutes I was with the manager barking. There was also a large hole in the bathroom with exposed wires/tubes which was fantastic for a toddler who is potty training to reach in and try to grab. Molding was coming off all around the room as well. Any time I mentioned this to staff I was brushed off especially by Kylie who seemed like I was inconveniencing her with my concerns. The only reason they got the 2nd star was the location. If you love Marriotts pick a different one to save yourself the disappointment.

- MargaretM192 (10/5): A very pleasant surprise - When planning our road trip a year ago, we decided to book the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel. Unfortunately when we arrived, we were told that the local law school had booked out many of the rooms for their students, and that we had been moved to the sister hotel, the Williamsburg Lodge. We weren’t too pleased, as we hadn’t been made aware of this change prior to our arrival. However, on arrival at our new accommodation, we were very impressed by both the location (very close to the historic sites) and also the decor and ambiance of the Lodge, especially the lounge area. Our room was enormous and very well appointed….and the bed was extremely comfortable. We were also most impressed by the delightful staff we encountered. Tina, the concierge, was very helpful when we asked for guidance on visiting both Jamestown and Yorktown. As the hotel has a restaurant open for dinner, we decided to visit it on each of our three nights, especially as the food was delicious. In addition, the staff we met there couldn’t have been nicer. Haylee, the hostess was so friendly, as were our two servers, Bryen and Chris. All three were students who were working there to help them out while they were still studying, and we want to wish them all well in their future careers. I also want to say a big thank you to Mark, one of the bellboys, who took us into town twice so that we could visit the local sites…very much appreciated. All in all, we were glad that we were moved and would highly recommend the Williamsburg Lodge to anyone who is thinking of booking it. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

- je1058 (8/5): Decent Property in an Historic Area - Came here for work as there was a conference on site. They have a pretty good sized conference room area on property. The property itself it expansive as well, with the buildings being only a couple stories high, so everything is spread out. Landscaping is decent, so walking from one place to another can be enjoyable. Parking is tight… they have multiple parking areas around the property, but they’re kind of tight. There are plenty of cross walks and safe areas to walk and cross the various roads that run through the property. Checking in was smooth and service was decent during check in. They were fully packed when I arrived, around 10AM, so they took my number and prioritized getting my room done and sure enough, they called me less than an hour later telling me my room was ready – awesome! First impressions of the Tyler House and my room was that this building is outdated and needs to be refurbished. The main door to the main house was stuck due to humidity or something and the door scanner wouldn’t work using the card key, you had to use the handicap scanner. Once inside, there are stained chairs in the lower foyer. The carpet looks worn, but isn’t ripped. The room itself looked decent, but when you look at the furniture, etc you’ll see warping, roughness and work areas from over-use, and even pealing/bubbling veneers. Definitely time to refurb this place! The room’s bathroom was decent and looked nice. Hot water came quickly, which has been unique in my recent Marriott stays at other properties lately. But the shower area had black mold in various areas, but was very noticeable. I did like the soaps, they smelled great and as much as I stay in Marriott properties, it was nice to get away from the typical smells of the Marriott soaps. Housekeeping did a decent job taking care of the room… when I got back to my room after a long day of work, it looked totally refreshed, like it was ready for a new set of guests! They cleaned the sink and even put a wash cloth out to put all my toiletries on – I love this touch, typically only in the Luxury, St. Regis, and Ritz properties. My sleep was comfy. The TV channel selection was great, but there was no sleep timer, so I couldn’t use the TV to fall asleep. There are two restaurants and one café on the property. Plenty of conference space here. Overall, it’s a decent property, but definitely needs to be updated. I’d return, but I’d hope for a refurbished room if I came back, if they have any.

- nicolemR7363DC (10/5): Beautiful and centrally located - I forgot how beautiful Williamsburg is. The hotel is spotless. They have indoor and outdoor pools. The fitness center is like a real health club as opposed to a resort exercise room. Rooms are spacious. Staff is friendly. You can walk to all the restaurants and downtown.

- X1083PWleeg (10/5): Nice room in a great location. - We stayed here for a night on our way back from the outer banks to Maryland and were very pleased. The room was spacious and clean, and the location was great. Compared with other CW hotels it was much nicer than the Griffin Hotel (for not much more money) and much more reasonable than the Williamsburg Inn. We had dinner in Sweet Tea and Barley, which had good food but indifferent service and was way too noisy. We walked across to the Williamsburg Inn for breakfast, which was great if a little pricey. I would definitely stay here next time I am in Williamsburg.

- Aprylgem5 (8/5): Stayed for a Work Retreat - I had the opportunity to stay at the Williamsburg Lodge for a Work Retreat. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to all of our requests. I had an issue with my tv and a staff member was there within 15 minutes to assess and correct the situation. The bed was extremely comfortable and I loved that there was garage parking as well as outdoor lot parking.

- lafinaz (6/5): Eat some plastic - The Inn was cool as far as location and the historic memorabilia is concerned. The rooms and shower were pretty tired. At breakfast I found a piece of plastic (probably 1 inch by 2.5 inches) INSIDE my omelette!! I quietly told our server. Manager discounted some off the meal which is okay I guess. We still tipped our server in the full amount which is only right. The tables….everything stuck to them. And being in the furthest building away it was quite a trek and NO carts over in our part of the parking area. Pretty frustrating stay honestly.
- gwkelley (10/5): Beautiful Property and Great Staff! - First off I want to thank manager Miss Coffee, (her first name) for her professionalism, patience, and understanding. The Lodge is beautiful, well run and convenient to attractions in the area. Breakfast at Traditions Restaurant was delicious and Althea was great in her career. The room we stayed in was a double queen, which was spacious enough for a desk, chair and small table, with a first floor patio outside. The decor was nice and I absolutely loved the floor tile and black granite in the bathroom. The shower and bath had plenty of hot water, and the spa products were a nice touch. Enjoy the bus from the Lodge to take you to all the area attractions and if you are able, leave the car and walk. The mattress in the room is very firm for our taste, as we are use to a memory foam mattress, however upon return, my plan is to inquire on adding an eggshell topper. Stop by the gift shop and get you some of their lovely soap, and toiletries, room sprays and candle. We had a lovely time, we look forward to returning to this property.
