• Companion98370 (10/5): Dog-friendly and fun - We enjoyed the grounds, and would stay again. Everyone was really pleasant while I walked out dog. The splash pad was very fun and we enjoyed some pool time too. There was a very simple, but cute, mini golf spot I saw a family playing on. Nice grounds, beautiful trees.

• Angela (10/5): You can’t beat the value at Williamsburg Woodlands. We paid $151 for a King Suite (this included tax) and this room fit - The grounds are beautiful, the kids loved the mini golf, the King Suite is a good size for all of us. The frame on the queen sleeper sofa didn’t seem to lay flat. However the mattress on it was good quality for a sleeper sofa. Admittedly, I pulled the mattress onto the floor and it was plenty comfy for kiddos. I haven’t met a queen sleeper sofa I liked. I pack our cots in the car just in case the kids don’t like it.

The walking path was the perfect distance with the kids and very stroller friendly. Staff at the hotel were extremely kind, friendly and accommodating. The hotel is a little dated, and I would love to see the space when all the amenities are operating and available but the grounds are beautiful and there's a certain charm to it all. Highly recommend.

Very clean, quiet, with outstanding staff. Seamless and quick check in/out. While the rooms were showing a *little* wear, overall, they were comfortable and the beds/bedding were good. The room was very comfortable as well and the shower had very good water pressure. Overall, it's a VERY nice facility with great staff and amenities.

My reasons are due to cleanliness inside and out, nothing major except the bathroom in the lobby was gross, overall just doesn't appear very clean. The beds were extremely uncomfortable (double bed rooms and king suite). The breakfast options are limited, all carbs, frozen waffles that have been thawed and put out with the breads. The restaurant and kids club were closed but maybe because they're seasonal.

It was a great experience. The staff was great and we enjoyed having a shuttle to and from Colonial Williamsburg. We also enjoyed the free breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.

I got injured last year due to them and they still move and sway around when you use them to enter or exit the water. Hated getting woken up by 2 fire alarms in the middle of the night with zero explanation or anyone telling us when it was ok to go back in. I had to call the front to find out it was cleared .

The tub was great for soaking after a lot of walking at Williamsburg. The breakfast was great and they kept everything well stocked even with a large hs band group being there. Staff was extremely friendly and professional. Will definitely visit again! Convenient location to Williamsburg and Jamestown.

Bathroom sink was not cleaned, and blood stains on the sheets, the sheets did look clean though. Wife and I did not enjoy the stay, due to the time we spent dealing with front desk personnel, maintenance workers not fixing the problem with our AC/Heating unit and the uncomfortable stay in the room. We suggest you make sure the AC/Heating system has been repaired in the building before making a reservation at this hotel. As summer is upon us. Safe travels.

Went ro check in early by only 30mins and told room was not ready and wouldn't be ready at checking time so I took a room without a view for less so I could check in. Was only there ome night so made due and used tub faucet to do everything alo water would only get warm

• jdV379WY (2/5): AVOID this hotel at all costs!!! - Don't be fooled by the price or location. The only reason this hotel is still open and operating is because of the many surrounding school districts and they're field trip contracts. If you want a nice relaxing get away, book somewhere else. They admitely won't warn you if the hotel is hosting 3+ different school districts on the same weekend. You cannot enjoy any peace or amenities because 100s of unsupervised and inconsiderate students crowding the halls and common areas without regard for other guests. The daytime manager was completely indifferent and could care less about our concerns when checking out early. Even the roach we found in the 2nd floor hallway by our room was trying to escape. Truly a horrid experience. Do yourself a favor and choose somewhere or anywhere else other than this place.
• Samantha (10/5): Amazing place to stay - The rooms are spacious and clean. The pool is very large and clean. I like how the pool is open until 10pm. The kids loved the large assortment of play items in the splash pad as well. We didnt get to do putt putt this time, but it is included in your stay. Breakfast was great, the staff were very busy with a whole school there and they did a wonderful job. This was my first stay but it will not be the last. My only wish was that a microwave to be in the room. Everything else was great.

We were close to the visitor center for colonial williamsburg, where we used a shuttle bus. The rooms were very clean. We walked the property, needed some revnovations, the pool was nice, the breakfast was not what we were expecting..it was like a continental breakfast, so we ate else where.

• kinseykoko (10/5): Great location for access to Colonial Williamsburg - Nice, clean rooms and very quiet. The breakfast has a good selection and is self serve. Tickets to Colonial Williamsburg are included for the entire stay! Definitely a bargain. The staff are very friendly and helpful

• W1651QUmollyb (10/5): Great family stay on a budget - The Woodlands hotel was perfect for our family stay in Williamsburg. It shares a parking lot with the Visitor's Center and the free colonial town shuttle bus comes every quarter hour. The hotel was clean, very quiet, had comfortable beds and good pillows. NOTE that when they say 2 double beds, they mean 2 double/"full" size beds, NOT 2 queens. My family of 4 typically books a "2 double bed" hotel room whenever we travel and that usually means two queens that are easy to share. Beware if you are planning to sleep 2 adults in these doubles. They are SMALL. We got a rollaway delivered to the room which was great, though. The breakfast options were good and each day there were 1-2 hot options (omelets, egg bites, coffee cake, etc.) The only thing the restaurant could use is more tables. During the morning rush, people were eating all over the lobby floor and couches since the restaurant room was packed. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're visiting colonial Williamsburg and don't want to spend a fortune. The package we bought included 2 passes to the historical sites, which was a great savings and made the experience easy.

• Carolyn (10/5): It was a great hotel with wonderful staff and so nice and clean with a good breakfast and our entrance was discounted be - It was so close to the visitor center, the staff was so helpful! It was very clean. The breakfast was so much better than expected. The coffee cake was fabulous. Absolutely not a thing!

• musc2026 (10/5): Excellent, Clean Hotel - Family Friendly! - This is such a family Friendly hotel, there is a lot to do at the hotel and in the surrounding area, the rooms are clean, family and pet friendly and the staff is so helpful. Our family has stayed here several times and had a reliably excellent experience. Minutes from Busch Gardens, Jamestown, Yorktown, Colonial Williamsburg.
• MARIA LUCIA (6/5): Good location - The location. It is close to the Visitor Center and easy to go to Colonial Williamsburg. The swimming pool. The hotel building has an U shape. My room was almost at the end. So, quite far from the entrance. The beds were small for being queen beds. The breakfast was not very good. Few options and low quality bread and pastries.
• jeffreymM9808WT (2/5): Desperate for Updates - The hotel is in desperate need of an update. Peeling wallpaper, old nasty carpet, very hot temperature in the lobby and dining room. The queen size sofa bed was awful. Old mattress and you could feel every metal support bar.
• Irene (9/5): Great place near Colonial Williamsburg - Very nice accommodation, perfect for those with kids or for visiting Colonial Williamsburg, which is a very pleasant short walk away (and on shuttle route). Very ample complementary breakfast. There were no restaurants nearby, although the front desk staff suggested other good options, which helped us avoid a car two into town.

• Beverly (7/5): Other than losing an entire night’s sleep after the alarms the stay was fine. - Location to Colonial Williamsburg We usually do not have any complaints but we were woken up at 1:30 am due to fire alarms blaring and the excuse was water pressure in pipes. No one came around to talk to guests and let them know what was going on. The front desk person didn’t know what to do.

• Cicely (6/5): Older property has seen better days, but good value and great location - Location, free shuttle, kind staff, chair bed, free breakfast Torn wallpaper in the room, ice machine don’t work on our floor, very uncomfortable/springy mattress.
• Samantha (10/5): - An incredible spot for families. Our three year old loved the playground, splash pad, and large shaded grounds. We loved being able to walk to colonial Williamsburg.
• Stephanie (9/5): - The location and the size The room were the two main things that made the stay great. A queen size over looking trees. Very serene. The walkable distance to historic Williamsburg was also a contributing factor. The hotel was extremely even with renovations/ face under way. The staff was extremely hospitable and welcoming. The only only only thing I would say was a dislike for me ( and this is my personal preference) that during breakfast there was no meat of any kind. No bacon , no sausage ....nothing . That would be my only no for this place.
• Carla (7/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent at the visitor's center and with a shuttle and walking path to the colonial village. The grounds of the property are nice and it's a quiet location off the street. The bathroom was spacious and the room layout with a separate bedroom in the back away from any hallway noise is a good design. The property is undergoing renovation and I think it will be great when the interior and rooms are updated. The room was clean but very dated and the bed needs replaced. Just know until it's complete there might be cardboard up on walls and floors in elevator and halls and the room might be older while waiting for an update.

• Passenger526278 (10/5): Clean, Comfortable, and Fun at the Woodlands - We found the Woodlands to be a great experience. We were close to the Colonial Williamsburg Visitor Center for easy access to the shuttle to get into Colonial Williamsburg. We found the room clean and the beds comfortable. We appreciated sheets and light blankets (not a sheet and heavy comforter) and the ability to open the window. Having a refrigerator is always helpful. The thing we enjoyed the most were the amenities and ability to play mini-golf, ping pong, and basketball. The staff were very friendly.

• B6141SGalexanderf (10/5): Wonderful stay in Colonial Williamsburg - There was much to do. This hotel is so close. A very convenient and pleasantly scenic walk to Duke of Gloucester Street in Colonial Williamsburg (about 15-20 minutes). Lovely wooden arches inside the hotel itself, very clean hotel and very friendly staff. Gluten Free breakfast was a hit! This was my second time staying here w/ the fam and I look forward to coming back.
