Joanne (2/5): - It was a motel at a hotel price. Very small room, uncomfortable sofa bed and tiny, dirty bathroom. Paid for breakfast to be included and found out at check in that it wouldn’t be the buffet. It was disappointing at best…toast and cereal. Wouldn’t book this place again.

Tony (4/5): No hot water in room for shower 2nd night - Hot water didn’t work in the room for the 2nd night which was disappointing and when checking out the young lady was Very dismissive when advised. Another consideration is to put stoppers on the inside of the room doors as with the high winds the front door rattled all night.

Kevin (8/5): - Mantra Bunbury is an excellent place to stay. It is very close to the lighthouse, the ocean, and the Rotary Tower. The Tower view is brilliant! Breakfast at the Mantra is great, with a nice ocean view.

Judyth (8/5): - Loved the view! We reported a leak as a result of the storm on the weekend. The carpet inside the front sliding door was saturated. We were asked if we wanted to change rooms but were happy where we were. Connor at the desk said he would arrange for us to have a free breakfast on Sunday morning (which we were over the moon about). Sadly on coming home I see from my bank statement that I have been charged $64, presumably for the breakfast. The other disappointment was the spa buttons didn't work so no bubbles. Saturday the water felt warm but Sunday barely warm.

The layout of the bathroom for my room was a little small, using the toilet was quite squishy and when I was packing up to leave I did notice that the quilt I thankfully did not use & had put to the side, had staining on the underside.

With regards to the cleaning, there needs to follow up, window sill was not clean ,very dusty, and a couple of dead flies, windows need a clean the bathroom is great apart from the shower screen which has some black mould around part of the door.

Andrew (8/5): Bit dated and noisy - Rated as the best in town might be an overstatement. The building has been refurbished a few times in its life. Being built from beater blocks the noise from adjoining rooms travels easily. Out of the 6 possible neighbours it likely to have one that is inconsiderate. The room was cold despite the air conditioner being set on 24. There is a sign on the aircon not to change it. Probably a sign of the building’s age. Given the high price the room was a bit underwhelming. Old, cold and noisy.

Mold on walls, holes in bottom of outside door, inside sliding doors not secure, full breakfast downgraded to continental due to staff shortages, key cards fail... to top it off... during the stay, the staff ababndoned the premises!!! No one on site for at least 18 hours! Guests had to help new guests check in (no, I'm not kidding). Then, next day, the staff member at front desk was rude and dismissive about the past day's site abandonment. More to tell, but running out of space here.

Verified traveler (6/5): Front desk unattended - Stay was fine. Unfortunately when we attempted to check in at 2pm, the hotel front desk was empty due to what we understand an issue for the worker. Which left us waiting for 2+ hours unable to check into our room. Calling Mantra was unhelpful. Calling Accor hotels was also unhelpful. After calling the after hours phone for 2 hours, we were eventually able to get through at the staff provided a code for the lockbox.

Rhys (6/5): - I have stayed here previously which is why I booked here again. After my booking I was notified the pool was unavailable due to works. Upon arrival I asked if the sap and sauna were still in use and The lady said no due to safety reasons (works). I went for a walk outside heading to wards the beach and I could see people using the spa etc. For me bathrooms and beds must be clean. The bed was fine but the bathroom needed attention. Mould in the shower, grouts, silicon missing, leaking externally in the corners and door frame made from wood roting away.

Daniel (8/5): - I booked a one-night stay at the Mantra and had a gorgeous view from the ocean to Bunbury City and the Estuary. The staff at check-in were friendly, and check-in was quick and easy. The room was perfect for one person.
Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel, located close to beach and restaurants - On arrival there was plenty of free parking onsite at the hotel, reception is light and airy. Rooms felt like they had been recently refurbished, fridge, kettle, tea / coffee etc. Clean, new bathroom, lovely body washes and creams etc, local Australian products. Comfy bed, a nice balcony to watch the sunset go into the sea. All in all a nice place to stay, buffet breakfast is available at $30AUD (February 2024 price).

Marc (8/5): - Everybody’s right. The Wi-Fi is really average but the hotel is fine, although probably ready for a bit an update in some areas. (There were burn marks on my carpet and the bathroom tiles need a good scrub.) Nice and close to the beach for an early morning swim and walking distance to restaurants and pubs. Breakfast is NOT included. They could probably make that a little clearer on the website which gives the impression that it is.

The lady running breakfast was absolutely amazing. Fantastic customer service. Our room was okay. Carpet looked old and tired with iron burns noticeable, the room next door was very loud and there seemed to be no sound barrier between rooms. Staff were all very lovely aside from these issues.

We went to breakfast the next morning and it wasn’t until after I had paid that we realized the price for the buffet was pricier than normal because of Father’s Day, even though there wasn’t anything extra put on or special about it. The staff at reception gave us conflicting information to that of the staff in the restaurant & there seemed to be an overall lack of organization.

We booked a 'poolside' suite, but wasn't aware that it overlooked an internal pool and spa facility, fully enclosed in a glassed-in area. The smell of chlorine permeated through the 'suite' when the windows were open to allow 'fresh' air inside. Also, the room was dark with limited natural light.

Brett (4/5): - Room was well overpriced for what it was. Paint peeling badly in the sitting room and bathroom. Tiles and other areas were not clean. Very rundown. Shower area so small you couldnt use it without hitting youre elbow on the taps or the shower curtain. Rooms are not soundproof - could hear the neighbour snoring and others talking. I paid $240 and will not be going back. Id say $160 is a fair price.

Aluminium window and door frames painted over and look grosse.Hand railings on stairs rusted in places and dangerous. Did not bother using pool. Sadly this building is past its use by date as little recent maintenance to show. Paid extra for sea view, but dirty windows ruined that aspect. Would not stay again, sorry.
Simon (4/5): - Accomodation getting old, needed maintenance. Shower leaked into bathroom everytime it was used, so floor was flooded. Had to use all the towels to mop it up. Bed was broken, inner springs on one side of mattress had collapsed. Windows and behind bed was filthy, however the remainder of the accomodation was tidy and was up to standard. Told staff about the issues (bed and bathroom flooding) upon exit, said they would look into it. Reception wasn’t open on times stated (730 am), waited around for 15 minutes after opening time, still closed. Couldn’t speak to staff about problems even on phone provided at entrance (use when reception is closed) Got charged twice on credit card for breakfast after we checked out. Spoke to reception later over the phone, said they will look into it. Still waiting for refund or even confirmation that they will reimburse. Disappointed with stay. Wouldn’t come back.
Erin (4/5): - The property was not what was advertised in the pictures, yes it had an ocean view but it was dated and old. The bathroom was pokey and very dated. Nothing like the pictures advertised. Disappointing.
Leigh-Anne (10/5): - The room was almost perfect; clean, tidy, good amenities, amazing ocean view and well situated in the CBD. The only issue we had was that despite booking a king room with a king bed, we were put in a room with a queen bed which made sleeping quite uncomfortable which was very disappointing. Not a huge deal but the TV is not a smart TV so you are limited to only local TV channels. The staff were lovely and very helpful and went above and beyond. Overall we were very happy with the quality of the accomodation for the price. We will definitely be staying again and have already booked for next holidays. Hopefully we do get a king bed this time.
ALLISON (4/5): - A few things that were terrible about this property: You could hear the people in the next door rooms. We had a ping pong table outside our sliding door, and children were bouncing ping pongs at 6:30am. We had dinner in the restaurant - Steak Sandwich bun was burnt and the Fish and Chips were soggy. When the waitress asked how our meals were, we explained exactly the above, and her comment was, 'What would you like me to do about it!' We weren't rude, we were just advising. We definitely won't be returning to this hotel.
JANINE (8/5): - Clean and tidy but requires a bit of an upgrade with the TV, the phone in the room didn’t work. I just feel for a basic room it was very pricey.

Emma (6/5): - We stayed in the motel section of the property. The walls are paper thin and you can hear every word someone next door is saying. The first morning we were woken at 5am by some workers leaving for the morning, which included heavy swearing and listening to the guy pack for 15mins. The second night there was a wedding or event of some kind and the cars pulling up were really noisy. The people next door were talking for hours and we could hear everything they were saying. We were facing the pool area so every time someone in high heels walked through it was loud. If you stay here BRING EARPLUGS!!! The room size was ok but with the sofa bed out you couldn’t get to the sliding door which went out to the pool area. Bathroom is small but adequate, I did like that the shower had a door as so many hotels have moved to door less showers and the water goes all over the floor area. Restaurant is on the expensive side but the view is nice even though you overlook the carpark. There’s an undercover non-heated pool and a heated spa but it wouldn’t take many people to crowd it in summer. The reception and restaurant is nicely decorated and looks like it was renovated recently.
Yasmin (10/5): - Lovely location overlooking beach. Room lovely and clean.
Claire (6/5): - Rooms are clean and modern. Small but comfortable. “Poolside room” was actually on top floor and only overlooked the pool. Restaurant expensive and food average.
brian (6/5): - Family stay, Was happily met by female receptionist. Room was disappointing - old and tired. The whole complex just seems to need a refresh. Great location and plenty off go parking. Was given an upstairs room which was a struggle with a 3 year old. The place didn’t seem busy as we saw only 2 staff members for the whole duration. Also not many people, I think most go elsewhere during the day and just sleep at the hotel at night. Decided to go for breakfast in the morning and was after the 6am weekday opening time, ever door we tried was locked, couldn’t get in to reception or anywhere. (Not sure if they serve breakfast anymore) Overall the place needs some investment to become competitive.
Robert (4/5): - The pool was ice cold spa and hot tub out of order. The bed was lovely. The grass was dead on outside of our room. Nice ocean views
Kamala (10/5): - We had a very comfortable one night stay. The staff were incredibly helpful and a delight to deal with. The room was clean, functional and modern. Breakfast was excellent. Would definitely stay here again.
