Guest Reviews
- Lori (8/5): - Great place
- Lonny (10/5): - Very convenient and hospitable! Pool was heated too
- Scot (10/5): - Very nice as expected comma with Marco was excellent
- Lori (8/5): - Location is very close to Disney and lots of amenities close by.
- Kevin (2/5): - These are the biggest nickel and dimers around. I stay in many many resorts and these people are the absolute WORST.
To be fair and transparent:
The facility is AWESOME. the location is AWESEOME. The management is AWFUL. they will nickel and dime you for everything. My baby stained a pillow case and they want $50 to replace Walmart pillow covers. Had I seen that before I checked out I would have replaced it for $12.49. These are some real pushy money grabbers. Be warned.
- Paula (10/5): Definitely a good choice - Everyone was very nice. Clean place and great breakfast daily
- Patricia (10/5): - I loved the property, the amenities, it had everything we needed.a suggestion will be having more hangers and the water pressure in the toilets is not too strong. I will definitely go back
- la (8/5): - Nice
- Janis (8/5): - Overall for the price it was nice. The pool was right outside our room. Beds were comfortable. The additional pools across the street was a nice change to for my kids. Limited hot water for showers, could of used a few more necessities like trash bags, toilet paper, pizza pan. Had issues with TV and getting any channels but we were not in the room much.
- Julie (8/5): - This unit is near the pools and also a short walk to the other outdoor options. Grocery stores, shopping and restaurants are near by. This unit has low water flow so toilets and showers were a little slow. Enjoyed our stay !
- Claudia (8/5): - The bathroom shower in the main room was leaking and I called they came and took pictures but never came back or called to have it fixed. Water would always leak from the shower to the main room and it was a hazard to clean it every time we showered. And of course not to mention the risk of slipping.
- Isabel (10/5): Great place - Had a great time. The room was wonderful.
- Stephanie (8/5): - This property (bldg 3, unit 101) was a really nice place to stay, but it wasn't perfect. I'll start with improvements that could be made - it had no hangers in the closets (I bought and left some, so if there are hangers now, that is why); the appliances are OLD but they are in working condition tho the fridge door should be hinged on the opposite side; the provided paper towels and toilet paper are rolled so loosely the TP only lasted two days with one person using the restroom so definitely bring your own or plan to purchase; there was construction on the grounds but never any noise while I was there. The unit was very quiet and close to the entrance, making it easy to get in and out of the complex; the pool area was awesome with plenty of lounge chairs both in the sun and in shaded areas around the pools. I was there for a conference so didn't explore the area a lot, but the complex seems to be in a location that makes it easy to get to shopping or amusement parks and attractions. I reached out to the property managers (ACO Vacation Homes) because a remote control was missing from one of the bedrooms. I was told they would replace it but they never did. Overall, I would recommend.
- Jessica (10/5): - The property was amazing… no room clean service and staff has poor communication
- Rossmery (8/5): - The resort was nice but the apartment had a leaking issi
- Margarita (6/5): - The ac kept turning back on 78 so it was really hot at night. They also made a charge in my credit card and never was told why. I try to contact property no answer. But the place was clean and very nice.
- Paula (6/5): Not happy - My flight got in around 6am and when I ask the guys that morning if we could check in early he said that shouldn’t be a problem he had to get the place inspected first then he will call me I never got a call so I called them at 1:30 to see if we can get checked in early that we were sitting on the car in the parking lot cuz we were tired and I couldn’t drive anymore they never answer my call I left a voicemail so I emailed them they said that it still has not been inspected that they will get the guy out there to do it. 2:30 comes around still no answer back so I emailed them back they that we won’t be able to check in till 4pm because of inspection I had a clear view of the way to the room I never seen anyone go to the room and do an inspection then at 4pm I emailed back can we go in now they emailed me back at 4:15pm and said yea. I found so many damages and took pictures of them to send to them. I had better customer service this was not one of them. There were water bugs that kept coming out of the drains in the bathroom and when I called about it no one answered the phone so I left a message and no one called me back to tell me that they will take care of it. The water pressure sucked that the toilets did not want to flush all the way. The price was good but I was expecting a little better customer service.
- William F (4/5): - The biggest issue with this property is that there is no one on site. When we first got there we could not find the place. the numbering was totally off. So you had to call, text or email to talk with someone. It took almost 2 hours before it was resolved. In addition, it seems we got better information and service from Calypso Cay the property sharing the space. Also, the kitchen lacked essentials items not such as potholders and pans were poor quality and missing lids. Also, the refrigerator was not properly regulated so I milk froze. We could not see the dale to correct. The property did not offer wash clothes. When I asked about additional towels I was told to wash the ones I currently had. Finally the water in the bathrooms was extremely hot and you could not properly turn them down.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Pretty in the outside, not so much inside - The village is very pretty and amenities were good, my issues were with the actual apartment, everything was very dated in dire need of replacing rugs beds etc, from what I understand every apartment is individually owned so I must have got an bad one, my friends which were on this trip with us did not have this issue, just our luck.
- Maxie (6/5): DISNEY TRIP - Place is functional, but needs improvement namely in the area of furnishings and d as memories. Everyone in my party complained about the beds. They were simply uncomfortable.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I was very excited to stay at the property because it looked so nice in the photos and the room was so spacious. I did really like the layout of the room, and the property itself looked nice, but unfortunately, upon checking in, we realized the room was very unclean. The bedding had spots and stains on it, and we found hairs in 2 of the 3 beds. I found a silverfish in one bathroom and a fruit fly in the other. The towels that were left looked very worn out and not clean, and there were hairs in a couple of them as well. Under the edge of the couch we found food, including a hardened piece of sausage with a bite taken out. The curtains in the living room had spots that looked like somethings had been spilled and not cleaned. One of the lamps was broken when we checked in, and one of the shower heads was hanging out of the wall. The bottom lock on the front door was broken and hanging down as well. We were not able to get any of the 3 TVs to reliably function throughout our stay, and our gate did not work at the front gate. We could not get a hold of anyone to helps us with that, and the only reason we were able to enter the property was because another guest at the gate gave us his code. Overall I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend staying here to anyone.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was nice but the mattresses were so loud. They made so much noise when you turned over. Said it slept 10 but only slept 8. The people upstairs we ridiculous loud. Other than that it was nice
- Regina (10/5): - We love staying here. We have stayed several times and will continue to do so. It’s a gated community, condos have lots of space and is very well kept up. The only thing I wish was different is they need to have someone in the office 24/7. We had issues with the gate code we were given and had to call a phone number we were given just to leave a message and wait for someone to call back.
- kimberly (10/5): A beautiful place to stay - The place was amazing. With a family of five there was plenty of room for everyone. I will definitely stay here again when we come back into town. Thanks for making our stay wonderful
- James (2/5): spring Break ruined! - We paid to stay here and were put in a condo that was being renovated. When we finally got through to them, they said “we can not do anything for you.” Then we spent an hour on the phone with hotels, got disconnected 3 times, and received no help getting a place to stay. So at this point, we paid twice for a 4 night stay and got No help, no money back, and no compensation in anyway to right this wrong of both Hotels.com and Runaway Beach Club Resort. Hopefully now the research is done to prove we didn’t stay there. Insane! Thanks for ruining our Spring Break!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - If you are going for more than 3 days-this is not a place for you. There is so little supplies in the condo that you will have to buy: all coffee filters, hands soap, more toilet paper, shampoo, body wash, body soap, laundry detergent, as there is not enough towels in the condo so you will have to wash yourself. Don't plan on baking anything because there is no baking dishes. I know if you are going for vacation, you are not supposed to cook but if you are planning to cook for your family, you will find the kitchen very poorly equipped.
Very poorly supplied!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a great location, close to everything that you would want to go to. Our unit was close to a busy road so you did hear alot of road noise.
- May (8/5): - The property was comfortable to stay in with the family but it lacked cleanliness. Some electronics were not working properly. But it has a washer and dryer to wash the towels and bed sheets before you use them Just have to take your detergent. A very centric place near Walmart and other stores to buy what you need to cook. Disney Springs is also about 5 miles from location.
Pet friendly!!!!
- Chris (10/5): - The condo was cleaned and large. It was great to have a washer and dryer. The pool hours made using it and going to the area attractions difficult as it closed early and opened late in the day.
- Maria (2/5): - As soon as we walked in the place smelled like mold. The curtains had dusty that when my son moved it, it fell on his hair. There was mildew in vent, 3 out of the 4 TV’s did not work. The place was not clean walls dirty, remotes filthy dirty carpets ripped worn out bad. Kitchen table was dirty. Light switches dirty master bathroom tub was awful the walls had patches that seemed like they were trying to fix but never finished. The key pad to get in the place was nasty. With COVID-19 you expect it to be much more cleaner. We didn’t leave bc my kids were tired but did not spend another night in the place. I would never recommend this place. Same day we arrived I emailed ACO vacation homes to let them know everything about the place, called them couldn’t do anything. Called at 8am to n Saturday and another rep asked for me to email again and she said would forward to the finance dep. I sent several pictures but will send more. I will be calling on Monday for my money.
- Cs (2/5): - Property was not clean when I arrived. Kitchen sink was backed up
- sonya (2/5): Runaway is the proper name......run away from this - I arrived on Thursday. The place was not swept or vacuumed from the previous rental. The tub in the master bath was dirty, I had to clean it with bleach. To top that off I sent several emails letting them know the water pressure was so low in the condo we weren’t able to bath. From Thursday through Sunday, me nor my husband and kids were able to use the bathroom facilities. I would like to know if I can be compensated in any way.
- Nadine (6/5): - My stay was ok, it’s just there was mold on the vents and limited supplies in the house to keep it clean. I was told that I had to buy my own things if I ran out of soap, toilet paper, garbage bags & towels......
- Feaster (4/5): - I loved the fact that the property came with a kitchen to use to cook dinner or store leftover food. However, it was very frustrating trying to even get the information to check into the room. Each time I called them I was placed on a 10-15 minute hold just to look up my booking information. Additionally it was very frustrating that the place only came with single trash bag in the can. If people are staying multiple nights at a property at least give them a second bag incase they fill the trash. Also we were never given access to use the clubhouse/pool area and had to ask other guests to let us in each time. We were paying to stay on the property and were never given access to the full property. Lastly the A/C did not work. Everyday we would have to set the A/C super low and it would still change the temperature to over 80 degrees. No body wants to pay over $100 a night for somewhere to sleep that’s over 80 degrees.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property was dirty, not cleaned at all. Walked into to a broken couch and dirty bandaids on the table.
I would never rent again, called to complain nothing was done.
Also, did not receive check in information until I was waiting at the property for two hours. Awful service, awful place to stay. Only good thing was the hot tub
- Verified traveler (6/5): Would stay again - Perfect location! Pool area was great! Beautiful landscaping. The unit could use some updating but overall was ok. Basic starter necessities were provided. Unit did not have any washcloths, half an electrical outlet was missing. Hair dryer breaker was flipped. Was given the wrong gate code and no pool code but Thaya was quick to respond via email with the correct gate code and pool code. Within walking distant to Walmart. Very close to parks. Safe, gated community. Quiet.
- Adam (6/5): Runaway from runaway beach club!!! - ACO vacation homes has really let this unit get run down! We were greeted with carpet That had more waves in it then the ocean. Tried to move a table closer to the couch since the chair it was next to had a gross stain in the cushion and the table collapsed due to two broken legs. My wife did a load of laundry and several items came out with brown stains on them. Not a great experience at all. My wife and I have stayed in the same complex more than a dozen times and it seems that many of the units are showing their age.
- Christina (8/5): Pacious villa. - Spacious villa. Everyone can find their own area. Two bathrooms were great. Closets amazing, didnt even make use of all the space!
Pool area clean, kids splash area too cold while we stayed in Feb. Regular pool just warm enough to get in and swim. Hit tub was nice.
- Narayan (10/5): - Liked it very
- Verified traveler (4/5): There’s a reason it’s called Runaway... - 1) Didn’t get code to check in until past our check in time (company states we will get it 24 hours prior) I was on the phone with them a dozen times trying to get just an email sent with the access codes
2) The unit itself was filthy. Chairs had stains on them, the beds were hard, the bathroom was filthy... the carpet was ripped at every threshold, the windows had mold on them, and even the window above the door had the plastic seal around it peeling off... the front light was hanging sideways.... it screamed “RUNAWAY” as soon as you walked up to the door
3) Didn’t receive access code to use any of their resort amenities until the day after we had checked out. We were told the card with codes would be taped to the back of the front door (wasn’t there) and to check drawers inside the unit (wasn’t there either). In the past when staying at other vacation homes there is usually a book or binder outlining the amenities and times the pool or fitness center is open, etc.... there was no such thing here
Overall, I think a Motel 6 would have been cleaner and cheaper than what we paid to stay here. Won’t be staying here again.
- Osmany (8/5): - There are no sponge to wash dishes, laundry soap was only one
- Joshua (2/5): Stay away! - I will never go there again. Check in was a horrible process. The cable didn’t work took half our trip to fix. My family did not feel safe. All the windows were closed but not locked. Mildew and water damage under the sink. Fridge has an issue. You cannot turn the ac down further than 71. Room was no fully cleaned. Water on the kitchen floor upon arrival. The pool was nice.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Beware. Gross unit, roaches, poor management. - I've never written a negative review before, but I feel I need to inform potential renters of my experience with this room and the management company, ACO.
Here are the main points of the review:
1. Beware. The unit in the picture IS NOT the unit you're booking. Expect old carpet and bad smells.
2. The unit was gross. For example, hair on toilet.
3. Multiple roaches found in unit. One was crawling over groceries I laid on floor when I walked in. Picture of roach attached.
4. You know that feeling you get like something is crawling on you? Well, after seeing roaches and dirty unit, we could not stay there so we left.
5. Upon notifying the management company, ACO, of the issue as per the rental agreement, we received no answer from them until Monday.
6. When they finally responded to my request for a refund, they first attempted to claim that I had not contacted them with the complaint as per the agreement. I informed them they were incorrect, and attached the communication I had sent Friday night.
7. They then claimed that because I left the unit so quickly, they were not given an opportunity to correct the situation and, therefore, no refund would be issued. There was no requirement in the agreement for me and my family to stay in a dirty, roach-infested unit overnight while I wait for them to come and exterminate. In either case, they DID NOT respond to my complaint til Monday. They failed to see my timely complaint and are trying to justify.
- Verified traveler (2/5): One of the worse stays - Got there and no air conditioning all weekend. The TV didnt not work at all.
- Jack (2/5): Not satisfied - When we first open the door, there was a mildew smell, smelled bad through our whole entire stay. Suite 3103 I believe it was, the shower head was fill with. Lime and calcium, the baseboard molding was crack, they vents were rusted, shower was just disgusting, sheets look like they were never removed and replace, 2 flat pillows stain in the pillow, gross. I’m now sure about going to this place again..
- DJA (6/5): - The TVs did not work for 1/2 of the time.
No front desk, so poor communication.
Also, ironing board was broken.
Only 1 roll of toilet paper for 4 people 2 1/2 days.
Kitchen faucet needed repair.
- Alexis (6/5): - Wasn’t clean enough. The bath tubs were disgusting!! The property has definitely gone down hill since we stayed there years ago. 2 TVs didn’t work and the dryer didn’t work. Don’t think we will go back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The place itself was a little dated but totally ok for what we paid. I am frustrated that when I got in late and called emergency number for help to get into my villa no one answered and I just happen to get lucky and seen a manager walking out to her car. Otherwise I would have been paying for a hotel til the next day. Also appliances were old and dry didn’t work well and had to have maintenance Come to fix my frig also. But over all I would go back. It was clean and spacious! Pool was nice also.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I checked out early. I have to say I am kinda upset that no one ever came to fix the whole cable situation and honestly will never stay there again. The couch and the sheets were itchy. It was unpleasant enough for us to check out early. Just to add two random guys came in the evening to check the ac unit. Very sketchy
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The inside of property was poorly maintained. Walls had writing all over them. Second bathroom sink did not drain, but maintenance did fix it. Tubs were dirty looking inside. Second bedroom beds were small and uncomfortable and no ceiling fan. Our family that stayed had to book something because of beds and no fan. The pool area was very nice. They really neede to fix unit we stayed in like repaint and out in new beds. Outside was maintained well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pool area was very well maintained and it was completed enclosed which made you feel safe. Pond on property had alligator signs which made us very nervous since you had to walk around the pond to get anywhere in the complex. Dryer in unit did not work which was a big inconvenience with a swimming pool on premises
- Daisy (2/5): - Location was great. Pin pad to open the door was difficult to understand, customer service never answered to help. House was not the same as the picture, house was dirty, smelled funny, one of the bathrooms was dirty, stained, old, ugly, etc. Barely any utensils in the kitchen, no towel papel, only 1 trash bag for the entire stay as well as only one toilet paper per bathroom. Towels were wet when we got there (all of them). Dryer did not work properly which explains it. Not a good experience. I have stayed at Runaway Beach Club before with another company and the experience was completely different. I do not recommend ACO.
- Gabriel (4/5): Not great - The shower heads were disgusting looks like it was not cleaned in a while.
During our stay the place was never cool. AC unit looks to have been frozen from some time
- Lisa (2/5): Misinformed - Was unable to get a code to stay in the room. Would not give me any access without emailing a picture of the front and back of my credit card. I had no problem signing any required documentation but I did not feel comfortable sending pictures. I was not informed of this “policy” prior to booking otherwise I would never have booked it. I tried to cancel as soon as I found out and neither the property or hotel.com would help.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pool just right in front our door Many things around the place don’t work or bad condition
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The only problem really was if you have an issue it’s 24 hrs before they reply .
- BIMAL (8/5): - It was value for money. You will feel like home with all the amenities full kitchen, dish washer, washer and dryer, bed room and bath rooms. Service is extreme poor. Call center has no idea how to handle as the maintenance handled by other team. The washer dryer was not working properly and I raised complain..but no one responded even I send multiple reminders. They really don't have service staffs. Appliances are age old. But despite the fact location and amenities are great.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never again - The condo was nice and roomy but I give it a 0 overall. I will never bring my family to stay here again. Was charged $100 after we left because there was some makeup on a towel ( from washing my face at night) and wat looked like water spot on the bead from where my kids had sat for a second either after a shower or swimming! I’ve never heard of being chRged something so rediculous!! Also used the washer and dryer during our stay and had to run the dryer cycle 5 times and my clothes were still damp! Don’t recommend to anyone unless u want to be charged for things after u leAve!
- Me (2/5): - Almost no water coming out of anywhere dirty very bad
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Property was safe to stay at. Saw some roaches. Too much trouble before check in. Must send picture back and front of credit card which is a big NO in my book
- Barbara (6/5): Somethings that should be changed - Arrived on 7/26, bathroom floor was wet due to a leak and it took close to a week for someone to fix it. After plumber fix the bathroom - not enough pressure to take showers, do laundry or dishes. In the second bathroom, there should be something in the tub for people not to slip (my daughter fell twice while taking a shower). Both bathrooms should have a shower curtain or something so the water doesn't get onto the floor. Both showers need new shower heads, the ones in each bathroom spray in different directions. Was told that I was getting a 4 bedroom was only a 3 bedroom. Couch mattress (where my son slept) was stained (should invest in a new mattress). Not enough towels for a family of 8 people. There should be a dust pan/brush and a vacuum to clean up. A/C should be able to adjust due to hot weather that increase during the day. Need more pillows for guests. Should give access to the garage for parking. Front door handle should be fixed going outside - kept coming off while we were leaving. Could not connect to the WI-FI.
- ADIL (2/5): - These people charged me for a broken ironing board they say was broken that I did not even knew was in the house
Be carful not to give your card number to these guys
They are crooks
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I like where the property is located. Perfect area, just a stone throw away from a super Walmat that made grocery shopping a breeze.
- Terry (8/5): Okay place to stay - It’s a OK resort. The location is great. Out door area is good. Room needed some touch ups. There’re was no linen for the sofa bed. Our party included 7 but we were given enough towels for only 5. There were no face towels at all. But for the price and the space it was okay.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I loved the property. It was nice and clean we also had everything that we needed. I didn’t like the fact that the air didn’t work and nobody tried to come and fix so we had to cut our trip short due to the extremely hot uncomfortable conditions.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property did not look like the pictures. The furniture, carpet was old. The communication was the worst
- Laurie (2/5): No wonder it's called RUNAWAY 2* Hotel/ 4* Price - Problems from the start! I received confirmation emails w/ details for 9 other people's reservations. Our confirmation voucher was for a 2 bedroom condo when we booked a 3 bedroom. They didn't have any available so 1 person had to sleep in the living room. Gate code was wrong so we had to wait for someone else to enter. I will admit, the area was great. The buildings are very cute & outdoor maintenance was excellent. The old saying "Don't judge a book by its cover" applies here! Those are the only good things I can say about this place. Had it been a 2 star hotel at about $100 a night- it would have been exactly what we expected. But this place was over $200 a night w/ an additional $150 resort & cleaning fees for a 3 day stay so we expected much better. I took 52 pictures of all the stained walls, carpets, shower curtains & furniture, broken drawers, dirty tubs & oven, bugs adhered to range hood, missing knobs & towel bars, dented & stained fridge, broken dishes & more! There were 3 TVs w/ 1 remote and the TV's didn't even work. We went to plug 1 in and found an outlet hanging out of the wall with no cover. The mattresses were very old & lumpy and wreaked havoc on our backs. Lots of rust in the tub. There is no office at this hotel so there is no one you can report to. I called the hotel number several times. It rings over 20 times then says leave a message. I left 4 messages & no one ever came by or called back. We left after only 1 day there. Our vacation was ruined!
- Andres (6/5): Awful place. Very old place. Noisy old bedding. - Old beds. Bed made noises everytime someone moved. Awful. Carpet was old and ripped off in several places. Maintenance people walked in without asking and in shorts, flip flops looking like anything but maintenance personnnel. I extended my stay and was charged $100 extra for cleanning. Which they never performed.
Stay away from ACO Vacation Homes. Very rude personnel.
- Susan (2/5): - There was a dried out dead lizard in my hotel, a used diaper, stains all over the couch, broken house phone, and two of the three TVs did not work. Staff was completely inaccessible. There is no one at the location who can help you and reaching them is almost impossible. They were not able to help me with anything. And I was locked out of the pool and the hotel on my last night there.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not really what I expected - The size was nice. Lots of other issues. Dryer didn’t work apartment had roaches extra door lock was on the floor. Sounded like the people above us were slamming furniture every night threw the early morning hours.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great, had a very good experience. I will stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It’s a great place to stay, great location , super big kitchen
And bedrooms to stay with your family
And most of all very affordable
- Russell (4/5): Beware of Check-in - I read review after review about this facility & could not figure out what the check-in issue could be. Beware, there is not a front desk! No one to answer the phone after 5pm and randomly before. You are to receive an email from ACO with room key number & gate number. I never received it! We arrived at 5:30pm & could not get a hold of anyone or get into our room. They had to send the information to a completely different email for us to receive it. The email from Hotels.com about our upcoming stay did not say anything about an altered email. Only that check-in was at 4 pm & not any earlier. The original confirmation email from Hotels.com had check-in was from 4 pm-12 midnight. About halfway down that email under the map, was important information about check-in that was not bolded, highlighted, in a different font, anything! It then said if we were not there for check-in by 5pm, to call again and make arrangements. Again, why would I look for that when it clearly states above it that check-in is from 4pm to midnight. There should have been information telling us we should be receiving information about check-in from ACO, which we did not get. ACO informed me most of their emails they send go to junk mail to look there, which it was not. The lady that runs the facility or answers the phone needs customer services classes. Our dishwasher did not fill with water, dryer had to run 3-4 cycles to dry, commodes both ran continuously. Called and left messages with no response/fix.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was all that we expected, the home was clean, no problem getting into the home. Everything was great! Def will book again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Everything, was un pleasent. The main concern being the cleanliness. Also didnt provide enough supplies for the amount guests.
- Laura (2/5): - Getting in contact with management to receive the key code was awful. I had to get Expedia involved. Nobody is at the front desk...ever. we have 7 guests and 4 towels so I had to go buy more. Furniture was broken, it was not clean, we had mold in several rooms.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Didn’t have my reservation and did not offer any help in finding other accommodations. They were rude and difficult to reach and talk to a manager. This is NOT a hotel, it’s a timeshare condo complex. You should check the correspondence my travel agent
exchanged with gold department.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Property is nothing like the photos in Hotels.com - Property is nothing like the photos in Hotels.com(see the photos I have uploaded). The photos are very misleading. The carpets were cleaned but the stains were still there and the appliances were borderline broken. Overall it was very stressful since there are a lot of signs around the house saying you will be charged for any small thing that could go wrong during the stay (including changing the temperature control). If you checkout even 10 mins after 11 am you will be charged a hefty amount. Overall I would say it was not worth it.
- Sehon (6/5): Nice place but terrible customer service - It was a nice place but there where a lot of problems. The refrigerator wasn't cold enough even on the highest setting, the sheets had stains on them, all the sinks were leaking underneath, we only had one cable box and had to keep moving it from room to room, most of the light bulbs were out and there where roaches in the room. We called maintenance and they showed up and tried to fix the kitchen sink (which he didn't), replaced the light bulbs and that was it. He said someone would come take care of the other issues and no one ever showed up. We were there for ten days.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - the external area is fine and the apartment has a lot of space. However, out of the 3 TVs, only one was with cable.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Strong odor as you come in the unit. Could not take off shoes rug looks very old and filthy.
- Maria (2/5): dont stay there - AHHHH, don't stay, worst place ever, never got what we asked for and its a pain in the... when it comes to make a reservations with all the hiddens letters a charges for nothing the place was dirty and smell really bad, really.first and last for sure.
- Amanda (2/5): Horrible Customer Service - First off, I was double charged for my stay and have yet to receive my refund. Secondly, there was no one in the office to assist us. Our toilet kept backing up and there was no way to reach the maintenance staff nor were there any on site. The gate code they gave us was for the previous month so we were lock out of the property for over an hour each time we left. We had to wait for someone else to let us in and follow behind them to get in. They don’t answer the phone on the weekends either so we remained stuck and had to wait for people to arrive to follow into the community.
- Cassandra (8/5): Extra fees - It was an awesome place to stay. However, 2 days before we arrived they sent us a bill for $115 for taxes fees and a cleaning fee on top of what we had already paid through hotels.com. I didn’t mind paying the fee but I feel that it should have been added into the room rate we had already paid, not sprung on us right before we got there (at a point when it was too late to cancel without paying). At the very least, this should be something that people are made aware of when they book.
- Cynthia (8/5): Vacation getaway - Check in was messed up. It took over an hour of calling on 3 different phones to finally get an answer. There was no email sent to me with codes and instructions. The lady on the phone sent me the email. The place was nice, however the one sofa sleeper was broken, dryer didn't work and the mattresses were horrible. The area was very clean and pretty. The pool was amazing. Also a 112.00 cleaning fee was never mentioned
- Evelyn (6/5): - The pans to cook were all scratch and pieces of the pan were on our food while cooking iron board was broken unable to use
- Jennifer (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE! - Too many hidden fees that were not explained prior to checkin. Came in at 11pm and had my key code held until an extra 100+ fee was paid. I had to beg a friend for the money because it wasn't explained to me prior.
Late night staff is incredibly rude. Took over $100 from me, the villa was dirty, the dryer was broken, the mattresses were worn and terrible to sleep on.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Strong smell - dirty, not cared for - Strong smell, mold, terrible state of furniture, soiled. Roaches sighted 3 times. Mold . In essence the property is not cared for and is just a terrible waste of time and money. Spoiled our vacation
- Kerry (6/5): Be careful! - Charged double for fees.
- Diane (6/5): Spacious condo close to theme parks - The grounds are nice, pools very nice! Our room, so-so at best. The beds & pillows cheap, uncomfortable. Our unit needed updating, to say the least. Old carpet, furniture etc. I could never get a hold of anyone, ever when we had issues.
- David (2/5): ACovacation homes - BAD Company
Dirty, lack of dishes, no coffee cups, stained sink and bathtub, no dresser for clothes, no toilet paper, no wash cloths, no dish cloths, no dish towel, dishwasher with smelly, moldy water laying in bottom, ice maker broken, snake in condo, no alarm clock, Office personnel don't return phone calls, poor communication from company.
Just not a quality operation - would not recommend renting from them
- Mandy (4/5): - THE VILLA NEED REMODELATED, clean a litle more . No rent anymore this villa
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nobody’s home... - Great location. Close to Walmart and not too far from Disney. However, villa was not well cleaned. I emailed ACO (no one is actually around to talk to personally,) twice and got no reply. $70 cleaning charge, plus $15/nt for resort fees. Indoor court was bolted shut. Overall, nice place, but zero service.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Nothing was clean when we arrived we had to clean it and buy cleaning supply's the bed in the front room was broke the kids couldn't sleep on it the tv didn't work for 2 days we had to clean up trash underneath the couch from someone's previous stay we took a lot of before and after pictures
- CHARLES (4/5): Shady and Dirty - The $140 cleaning fee wasn't prominently displayed in the listing on hotels.com, though the $60 tack on "insurance" fee was. That was a shady way to get a little more from us, since we couldn't cancel so close to the reservation. When we arrived, the couches were stained, there was a used band-aid on the floor of the loft, the top sheet on the master bed had a hole in it, and one of the extra blankets in the closet was stained. The whole condo felt dirty after that. The location was good proximity-wise to the parks, but it's right on a main road and very loud at night. The beds all creaked tremendously with the slightest movement. Not happy. Won't stay there again. Won't use ACO again. Not good.
- Edward (8/5): Meh - Check in and check out needs to be improved. The hotel rules state to take out your own trash or you'll be find they should look into leaving more than one garbage bag/ Garbage bags that don't break. There was also no tissues and I believe only you 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom.. There is no office and no one on site to give more towels or products. The room however was nice, clean, and bigger than expected or needed. Not happy about the cleaning fee and booking fee, also why do I need to take the trash out if I'm paying for a cleaning fee?
- Kevin (4/5): Close to the Disney Parks - This was our second year staying at the Runaway Beach Resort. Last year was great for our stay so we decided to go with it again. This year, however, was not so great. Our unit 2-201 was incredibly run down. Several things were broken or not working (knobs and doors, dishwasher, clothes dryer). The couch was awful to sit on and the chairs were very stained. The beds were all worn out- one was ripped down the side with the insides showing and only flat sheets thrown on top. Kitchen was not well stocked. Not even potholders so difficult figuring out how to get things, like a pizza out of the oven. The carpet in the unit was "lumpy" and easy to trip on. The entire unit was dusty/dirty. It was very disappointing to see the lack of care taken.
From what I understand each unit is privately owned.and managed by ACO vacation homes. The management company has failed to maintain the property appropriately.
The plus side was that it was super close to all the parks and local stores. Also the pool area was nice. But not sure that's enough to return as there are many choices with those.
- Laxman P. (10/5): Hi - Good morning Kissimmee
- Marissa (2/5): Disgusted - Horrible! You get charged $113 extra for cleaning and booking fee, there was hair in the bath tub, soap scum, SUPER dusty, we have bad allergies so we were instantly sneezing! Just awful stay. We booked a two bedroom Villa for 7 people and they only gave us 4 towels for 2 day stay, ridiculous! NEVER again will we stay or recommend this place.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Never again - They dont supply wash clothes withyour stay, so we had to go find a store to buy our own. It was 6 of us and they only supply 1 roll of toilet paper for our stay. Never again!
