• Huiqi (2/5): - Very poor hygiene, light not working, chair broken, loud noise at night.
• Sanveer (2/5): Too high by stairs, don't stay - An Ikea furnished flat, good in size, and cheaply furnished but sufficient. The location on the 5th floor was communicated 2 days before, and that the lift was not operational. That itself is a deal breaker, but the company would not offer a refund. They did claim on their site that the lift was not working, but never stated this was a 5th floor appartment.
• I (2/5): Clime Everest!!!! - Be prepared to climb to your floor (mine was 5th) as it appears elevator doesn't work for ages, but no information on that. Adding new batteries to the remote wil allow you eventually switch the TV on.

• Marta (2/5): - Smartflats is a scam. Stay away. The apartment looked nothing like the pictures, with bare rooms, the sofas are stained and dirty, the furniture of the terrace are torn, and the elevator did not work for a while when we got there, as the property manager told us. The walls need a coat of paint. It’s a 7th floor walk up with suitcases and kids in tow. We contacted management for a refund and they said to send pictures. We did. They said to wait for an answer. We never heard back. We went to the hotel across the road for all our stay. We contacted Expedia for a refund as well and they said after a few days that Smartflats were not responding to their emails and calls, so no refund possible, even though we explained the situation and sent them the pictures.
• Achim (4/5): Unterm Durchschnitt - Die Unterkunft is nur für die Lage (Nähe Eu Einrichtungen) interessant. Der Aufzug ist schon seit langem defekt. Nicht wirklich lustig da ich im 6. Stock wohnte. Das Appartement war groß, jedoch nicht appetitlich. Bad: Der Duschvorhang war fürchterlich und es roch nach Schimmel! Toilette: Das Handtuch stand sm Boden an und das Kloipapier sah nicht gut aus. Die Terrassentüren ging gar nicht oder nur sehr schwer zu. Fazit: Insgesamt schlecht, einzig mit der Lage war ich zufrieden
• marika (6/5): Mi aspettavo di meglio - Incoerenza nelle comunicazioni e messaggi ricevuti tra hotel e host/ smartflats. Ricevuto due codici di accesso diversi, richiesto deposito cauzionale dopo la prenotazione che verrà restituito dopo 3 giorni nuova mail dopo 7 giorni, altra mail tra i 7-10 giorni. Assurdo! Appartamento sembra pulito ma non lo è. Varie cose rotte( rubinetto, divano, porta camera s alino in legno, cassetta acqua wc,....impossibile aprire finestre per arieggiare, molto molto sporche e tanto smog dalla strada principale. Quarto piano con ascensore fuori uso. Impossibile mangiare li vicino, tutto chiuso nei giorni di sabato e domenica. Per un Carrefour aperto in zona bisogna fare un po di strada a piedi.

• Knut (8/5): - Fin og funksjonell leilighet, riktignok litt kveldsøde i toppen av et kontorbyg. Det var nok god stund siden forrige avfallshenting. Ganske vond lukt.
• Verified traveler (4/5): Inte så bra och fint som det kunde varit - Trasig diskmaskin, ingen plugg för handdisken. Trasig kran i badrummet och stopp i avloppet. Nedsutten soffa. Illaluktande städskrubb. Men bekväma sängar och gott om plats för att packa upp och hänga kläder. Köksdelen var fin och praktisk fast som sagt så fungerade inte diskmaskinen.
• Francisco (4/5): - I picked it because it was a one-bedroom apartment which would provide enough room for my family while visiting Belgium. Unfortunately, several things were wrong from the beginning. First, the air conditioning didn't work. Also, some of the lights did not work, and those that did were all controlled by one light switch. Only the main switch worked. Additionally, we found that the duvets had terrible stains on them, like dried bloodstains. We talked to someone on the night we got there and they said that someone would come to take care of things the next day, but nobody ever came to help make things better. We left early, after they were unresponsive the next day.
• xuejun (4/5): - They changed the code for entering the building with out notify us. We called the number they provided, but nobody answered. We waited outside for more than one hour to get the new code. They did not even apologize for it.
• Lucia (4/5): - The elevator did not always work and we had to walk to get to the 5th floor the room had not been cleaned nor was the bed made the tv did not work we were awakened several times during the night by loud people inside and outside the building and they even rang our doorbell to let in. we tried to contact security but no one answered
• Roman (4/5): - Top-zentrale Lage zu allen EU-Häusern, das rechtfertigt aber nicht den Preis. Abgewohnte Unterkunft mit unansehnlichen Schrammen an fast allen Wänden und am Mobiliar. Sanitäranlagen entsprechen keinem 3-Sterne-Standard, keine Ablage im Badezimmer, alter Duschvorhang. Fahrstuhl dauerhaft defekt, bei Zimmern in der oberen Etage eine Zumutung.
• Stefan (6/5): - Der Zugang ist umständlich über ellenlange Codes geregelt,welche an drei Türen eingegeben werden müssen. Die Bude ist aber riesig, auch die Trennung Toilette und Bad finden wir prima. Unschön ist die Disco im EG welche auch nach Mitternacht noch aufspielt. Da werden wohl die EU-Leute abfeiern; kein wundern, daß da nichts vernünftiges bei rauskommt.

• Marcel (4/5): - The flat was spacious and comfortable. There were a few discrepencies which I reported via email and were never addressed during my 21 day stay. Property management was one of 2 bigger issues. Unless you called multiple times to follow up and push to address problem then there was literally no customer service. Also no one proactively scheduled the weekly cleanup and it took 3 calls and 5 days to get someone to the flat. Lastly but worse problem is there is a night club next door and this should be disclosed to renters as it will disrupt your experience if you are a light sleeper. After discussing this with owner they could not relocate me and allowed releasing the commitment but reimbursement amount was going to be based on nights rebooking the flat putting all risk onto me. Therefore forcing me to stay. Never again with Smartflats

• Jesus Antonio (2/5): - Había pensado no reseñarlos mal, pero terminaron por hacerme enojar más, los puntos: -La manera en que te envían su información para acceder es extremadamente informal, poco útil y totalmente desorganizada, no se entiende absolutamente nada. -Es horrible llegar a tu "hotel" y tener que ingresar 3 códigos enormes que es imposible memorizarlos, son todos diferentes, uno tras otro en cada puerta. -El ascensor no funciona, y su respuesta burlesca es "no se necesita una clave dear guest", se burlan de ti. y su ascensor falla todos los dias, marca un error que dice "maniovre pompiers", son 5 pisos, tuve que usar las escaleras. -Cuando llegué el código no funcionaba, perdí 1 hora esperando a que Expedia y ellos me resolvieran la situación, y su única respuesta era "compruebenos que está en la dirección correcta", incluso afirmaron que no estaba en la dirección correcta, y si lo era, una total burla. No se que hacen en Expedia, no es un hotel, de entrada.

Les seuls soucis: - stationnement difficile pour décharger des fournitures/ bagages. - ascenseur en panne - propreté des escaliers pas top. À côté de ça, tranquillité, localisation parfaite et appartement super pratique.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Great spacious quiet property in a great location. Really enjoyed the check in service. If you arrive early and apartment is not ready there is a place where you can drop off you bags, connect to the internet and have a cup of coffee. The floors were not fully cleaned for my arrival. Other then that was pretty clean. Probably needs some shelves or hangers in the shower/bathroom. If you need anything you need to contact them 48 hours upfront.

A bit more maintenance would help, e.g. there was a huge crack on the glas window, doors handles got stuck and failed to close doors and even lock the apartment front door. Maintenance came exactly during our rest time and did not fix all door handles.

• Davide (8/5): - This is a very beautiful flat and extremely well located if you need to work close to the European Quarter but want to be fairly close to the centre. The flat is big, has two big rooms, and it's easy accessible, bed are comfortables. There are quite a few places for breakfast nearby.

• Kasper Bang (10/5): great stay in Brusselts - big, clean and great location of an apartment. I was staying alone but very suitable for a family. checkin and all went very smoothly.
• Brian (6/5): Okay stay - The lights were not working when we arrived. Management didn't send the electrician to fix the lights until very last night of our stay. They also didn't inform us so we were surprised to see the electrician when we returned to the apartment. The Wifi coverage was spotty and weak. There was almost no signal in the bedroom.

• paul (6/5): Good location to Brussels central by underground - The flat was nice and spacious in side for two people but could have done with air conditioning. Unfortunately it was very warm in the flat even though we had a fan on in the day this was noisy at night and also couldnt have the balcony door open for same reason other than that was lovely and private .

• Verified traveler (6/5): - The apartment was great, but unfortunately the bed sheets appeared not to have been changed. And the heating didn't work well so the flat was freezing. It was a perfect location for meetings in the European Union, plus there are some decent restaurants very close, which are away from the expensive and busy Grand Place area.

The reception gives me all the code days before arrival and allow me early check-in upon request.The location is great,only 100m from Art-Loi metro station. To the left is EU center, to the right , walking distance to central and Royal palaces and other attractions.The room is spacious and well equipped. Overall, it is a satisfyin stay.
• LAI MING (8/5): Spacious and clean apartment. - It is a clean and spacious apartment. Easy to check in and out with access codes. But no cleansing service or clearly instructions for disposal of garbage (We stay in apartment for 5 days!). The access code for the main door sometimes does not work so we need to try several times for one entry.

• Dalal (2/5): Worst hotel experience of my life - This was one of the worst hotel experiences of my life. I booked the hotel for 16 nights in preparation of my move to Brussels. The cleaning policy was not clear on the hotel page, so I sent an email asking about it 3 weeks before my arrival but it was ignored. I sent a second reminder email a week after but it was also ignored, When I get to the apartment it wasnt cleaned the next day, when I called the concierge they told me it will be cleaned the next day, but it was only cleaned a week after. the manager at first told me that their policy is to clean the room every 3 days but later change his mind to 7 days. when I arrived in the hotel after a long drive, I went to the public parking Smartflats recommended to its guest, only to find out its closed on weekends, public holidays, and closes at 10pm during weekdays. so there is no way for their guests to use it. when I called the 24/7 concierge asking for other recommendations, he told me he doesn't know because he's not from Brussels.I had to park in a place 18 min walk away from the hotel. When I got into the room, there was no toilet paper, the shower door was broken, and all the TV/Internet services were unplugged. it took them 3 days to plug the wires, and get me toilet paper, and took them 7 days to fix the shower door. Also the room door was broken and most night I slep in an unlocked room. After a week of horrible service, I asked for an early check-out and a refund for the remaining 9 nights. the Smartflates refused!
