• Kerstin (10/5): Klein, fein und besonders - Klein und persönlich, wunderschöne Zimmer mit tollem Außenbad. Hervorragendes Restaurant, a-la-carte Frühstück . Gute Lage zwischen Kep und Kampot. Sehr bemühtes und außergewöhnlich freundliches Personal. Man darf keinen Strand erwarten, da wäre man enttäuscht.
• wazzawar (10/5): New years in CAMBODIA - We stayed at Samanea resort late December to early January, the resort has 15 suites .The staff were sensational nothing was ever too hard for them to help with, brilliantly led by hotel director Jonathan , we also did new years with the staff on their beach. the day spa is highly recommended I used it 3 times. The food at the resort was outstanding, beautiful sunsets over the Gulf of Thailand. Kep where the resort is Cambodia's seafood capital is a 15 minute drive from the resort . Nearby is Kampot this area is known for its pepper . In all I would highly recommend staying this resort , good value for money

I highlight the quality of the service and the attention of the team to details, and their kind gestures. The location is very convenient. You can reach Kampot, the pepper plantations, the national park, the krab market very easily by Tuktuk. The hotel also provides bicycles. The pool is very clean and peaceful and the beach lounge area is private and cozy with a view of the sunset. I went to the Spa and was very satisfied of their professional services. The room I was in was clean, airconditioned and big (the half outside bathroom is a plus) and the bed is protected (bed net against insects). I warmly recommand! It cannot be a disappointment.

We were really impressed with the size and quality of the villa which is one of only 12 in the spacious complex. There was an amazing outdoor shower and bath tub in the villa. There is access to a private beach, lounge and swimming pool. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant is great. All meals were freshly prepared and there was a good selection. The hotel organised a Tuk Tuk into Kep and we enjoyed a walk in the National park. We felt really rejuvenated when we left.

The cool breeze and the gentle waves feel like they are purifying my soul. We also had a wonderful time at the Kampot pepper farm, which is not far from the resort. This is the second time I have celebrated my spouse’s birthday here. I am so grateful to the staff for the birthday cake, champagne, and the lovely room decorations. Dinner at the outdoor table was truly memorable. Also, the electric car tour to the pier was a very special experience. Thank you so much to the manager and all the staff.

We found Samanea wonderful resort to unwind in after a week of travelling around Cambodia. The rooms are amazing, clean, spacious and have a feeling of luxury. The outside bathroom is a wonderful experience. The food at the restaurant was really good and at a reasonable price. We had breakfast every day and an evening meal a few times. Lots of choice available.The gardens and the pool area are really beautiful and well kept. The location is great for a short tuk tuk ride to Kep Crab market, restaurants and beach. A little further to Kampot but well worth a visit. What makes this resort extra special is Jonathan and his team. The whole team go above and beyond to help make your stay really memorable. Special thanks to Khy Pet who looked after us so well at breakfast each morning. We highly recommend this resort.
• UKDavy7 (10/5): Beautiful rooms and excellent food - This was a beautiful hotel. Rooms are all in bungalows scattered around the lovely grounds. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Food in the restaurant was excellent and all freshly prepared. We ate dinner each night and had one lunch and all were excellent. Breakfast offered a great choice and was A La Carte and so everything was freshly prepared. Staff were all very friendly and anxious to please. I highly recommend this hotel.

The bungalows are very comfortable with amazing outside shower. The food is very well presented and has plenty to choose from the menu . The swimming pool is great …. Petit-déjeuner copieux et vraiment très bon, beaucoup de choses faites maison dont le pain. Dîner excellent aussi. Service aux petits soins et chaleureux. Ponton très sympa qui s’avance dans la mer. Piscine simple mais agréable. Globalement on a adoré ! Nous avons fait 2 soins au spa (massage et soin visage) et pas pleinement satisfait du personnel et de la qualité des soins, en-dessous de ce qu’on a pu avoir ailleurs et plus élevé en terme de prix.

The service was outstanding from start to finish, with genuinely friendly and attentive staff who made us feel very welcome. Aw-kun ch'ran! The premises are absolutely beautiful. The resort is set in lush gardens, and the large pool area is stunning and very relaxing. Even though the beach itself isn’t the highlight, it honestly didn’t matter at all because the pool and garden surroundings more than made up for it. Overall, a fantastic resort with great service, beautiful surroundings, and a very high-quality experience. We would happily return and highly recommend it.
• Marc Alexandre (10/5): Un séjour parfait dans un cadre paisible - Nous avons passé 3 nuits au Samanea Beach Resort & Spa et ce séjour a été vraiment super. L’hôtel est situé dans un endroit paisible et calme, idéal pour se détendre. Le personnel est adorable, attentionné et très professionnel. Le directeur de l’hôtel est particulièrement présent, toujours accueillant et de très bon conseil, ce qui rend le séjour encore plus agréable. Les infrastructures sont très bien aménagées, de grande qualité, et comme il s’agit d’une petite structure, on s’y sent vraiment à l’aise, presque comme à la maison. Tout est pensé pour le confort des clients et tout est facilement accessible. C’est également un excellent point de départ pour des excursions, notamment le site de La Plantation, situé à environ 40 minutes en scooter par une route très agréable. L’hôtel organise d’ailleurs la location de scooters à un prix très démocratique, ce qui est très appréciable. Les petits-déjeuners sont exceptionnels, variés et de grande qualité, et le restaurant est excellent : on y mange vraiment très bien. Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel et y retournerons sans hésiter.

The restaurant is outstanding in quality and variety, rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff are delightful and caring. We have had the best 3 days of relaxation. The highlight was a low key New Year's Eve celebration around the fire pit on the beach, sending paper lanterns into the sky. But that was just the icing on a very special cake.

Clean and well maintained property. I knew that there was not a real beach, so it was fine. There is a small private area , but the water is murky and it is not a real beach.

• Bav32 (10/5): A calm sanctuary - This place has a very special atmosphere and is a great base from which to explore Kep/surrounding area. We were here with our teenage kids for three nights as part of a bigger holiday exploring Cambodia. The staff were so attentive and thoughtful and our breakfasts were delicious. We ate supper here too and had excellent meals every time and top notch service. The rooms were fabulous; so spacious and with hammocks outside to relax in. Enormous swimming pool with loads of space and then the pier for sunset. It feels like such an oasis as there are only twelve rooms spaced out amidst green gardens. Whilst we were here we went by tuk tuk to La Plantation (pepper plantation) which was an excellent way to spend a day. Seeing how the pepper and spices are grown was a real highlight of our trip. We also did a walk round the national park seeing monkeys on the way and had a cold drink at Led Zep cafe at the end. We visited the crab market a few times to soak up the atmosphere and ate all sorts of delicious seafood and lots of pancakes. Jonathan the manager was extremely helpful and this whole place exudes a wonderful sense of calm. We would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Also, they remembered my coffee style preference each time. The food was very good, and the prices more than fair. The room was spacious, clean and the garden bathroom perfect for our family!!! Unfortunately we were very disappointed. We ordered a starter and 2 main courses my asked her Salmon be cooked medium well… Our starter didn’t turn up . The waiter came and said sorry her forgot to write on the kitchen order. He said he would bring after main course we told him no thank you My wife’s salmon was undercooked and raw inside. When we queried the undercooked salmon he said that the chef had read it wrong and cooked it medium rare…… we were not offered compensation or a reduction in the price at anytime it should also be noted we were the only 2 people in the restaurant at the time. This was then compounded when checking out we were presented with someone else’s food bill added to ours.. again when we brought it they said it is ours and went and checked and came back very sheepish and said yes it was someone else’s food bill… Al in all very disappointing in a gorgeous venue and superb facilities

Very attentive (but not overwhelming), very friendly and great memories. You can tell they have been well trained and are a credit to the hotel It’s a must come place if you are coming to Kep Ps. • TravelfanKent (10/5): Beautiful place to relax, and the management photos are a true reflection of the resort! - We stayed 4 nights at the Samanea at the end of a busy trip to Vietnam and Cambodia. What a perfect spot to relax and be very well looked after. Our villa was beautiful, spotlessly clean and the outside shower was the icing on the cake, loved it! Jonathan and the whole team are amazing, always smiling and nothing too much trouble, thank you Nhan for our daily language lesson over breakfast! The resultant is great for breakfast and chilled area for dinner after the bustle of the cities. The hotel offers excursions, but were equally pleased to arrange a scooter hire for us, which was delivered to the hotel. It was my husband’s 60th birthday whilst we were there and we were given a bottle of bubbles, a birthday cake and Jonathan arranged for a private dining table in the gardens, which was lovely. The only problem with this resort is when we had to go home!

• hudman (10/5): Beautiful beach resort - We spent six nights at Samanea Beach Resort and had a wonderful time. Our Junior Suite was immaculate and spacious and the grounds were beautiful The resort is in a great location - right on the beach a short tuk tuk ride to the crab market, pier, and Kep National Park. There are complimentary bikes you can use to ride around the grounds, a private beach and pier, expansive pool, gorgeous restaurant with a variety of local and western dishes, lounge with books, sporting equipment and games plus a spa. There is no reason to leave the resort if you don't wish to. The hotel manager, Jonathan as are all the staff. We will definitely be back.

Una delizia. Le camere sono meravigliose e il bagno é il fiore all' occhiello. Per andare al mercato del pesce bisogna prendere il tuk tuk, ma bastano 2 dollari e ci vogliono 3 minuti. Niente. É un posto perfetto... Se ci fosse pure la piscina in spiaggia sarebbe ancora più perfetto. Perché l' acqua del mare non é un granché, ma sarebbe molto piacevole stare inntiva sl mare.

The most important highlight is definitely the staff — from the gardener to the receptionist, from the waiters to the housekeeping team, everyone was welcoming, friendly, and always smiling. The design of the common facilities is very well thought out, especially the beautiful lounge and the fire pit by the seashore, surrounded by small cabanas and sunbeds — a perfect place to relax. The restaurant was also excellent, the rooms spotless, and the gardens beautifully maintained. Well done to Jonathan and his team for creating such a charming atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay — it was a wonderful escape in Kep!

The breakfasts are delicious and huge, the dinner menu has something for everyone and the food is very high quality. The staff are lovely and very friendly, will be very sorry to leave!

We came back here (even though we decided to live in the area) because it was a magical stay. The management and staff has created this exceptional ambiance that gives you a ton of woooow-moments :)) The garden is one of my favourites. They recently improved the SPA that we tried. I can recommend it! Checkout the restaurant too, it's worth it! I really love this place and will come back!

Our villa was clean and the outdoor showers were a really unique touch. The restaurant had great food. We were there in the off season so we had plenty of space at the pool and the beach.

• Curious24523997506 (10/5): What a fabulous stay! - When we first arrived we weren’t quite sure what to expect. The hotel is tucked away and doesn’t have a grand entrance. However, that made it all the more magical - a bit like stepping through a doorway into paradise! The staff were so welcoming and friendly, the grounds and gardens beautifully kept and our room was stunning - the novelty of an outside bath and shower area (obviously walled!) will live long in the memory. There’s a beautiful pier on the property from which you can look back at the hills behind the hotel or take in one of the stunning sunsets. The saltwater swimming pool was lovely and provided great relief from the heat of the sun! The breakfast selection was extensive - cooked fresh to order and served on the restaurant verandah under cover from the morning sun. We ate 3/4 nights at the hotel and the menu was fantastic - both Khmer and other regional and western cuisines. All cooked fresh, presented beautifully and tasted wonderful. Definitely one of the most favourite hotels I have ever stayed in during my life! Loved every moment!!!

Taking a walk around the property was such a joy as it looks so beautiful and well-maintained. • Travelaround59 (8/5): Definitely a very quaint and homely place. - I liked very much the homely feeling of this place: 9 bungalows spread around an immaculate and mature garden give you that feeling of being in your own home. The bungalows inside have a colonial feeling and are generous in proportions with everything you need, the outside shower and bath is a nice touch to keep you in contact with nature, the pool is very attractive and the beach cabanas just invite you for lazy hours. But the best thing is the service: people here couldn’t be more accommodating. Just to give an example: yesterday we sat down in the garden for a drink and while served our drinks of choice I was just mentioning to my fellow travellers that I forgot to use the mosquito repellent and I was too lazy to go back to my room to put it on…moments later the person that was pouring our drinks come back with a bottle of mosquito repellent…I mean: this is more than service! Well done to everybody you have made my stay so easy and comfortable.

Our host, Jonathan, the girls at reception, security guard, gardners and cleaners were all very friendly and helpful. We loved our room, it was spacious and our outdoor bath tub and shower was perfect. We have our teenage sons with us, who loves the pool, paddle boarding and private beach. We spent a lot of time inside the resort as it was such an enjoyable place to be. We will be back!!!

Nothing g too much trouble. Near to Kep and all that entails and also a tuc tuc ride to the fabulous Bo Tree pepper farm and town of Kampot. Excellent restaurant. Wonderful Spa. Loved it.

Would definitely go there again. Not perfect, but it's close to a 10 ! A bit pricey, as the beach is not as wonderful as the rest of the resort and that's too bad. Rocks in sand and a few garbages make it not that enjoyable for kids to play there and the sea itself is not very inviting. I suppose there is not much they can do about it though, and if you just want to have a walk there and enjoy the sunset it's fine. Also we tried the massage with my wife and while relaxing we thought it wasn't worth the price.

What initially helped us choose this property was our contact with the manager, who assured us that the restaurant could cater for nut allergies. Jonathan and his staff are very attentive and we were excellently looked after during our stay. The restaurant has a very wide menu and the food is incredible! We loved it so much we even ordered takeout to take away with us when we checked out! We also enjoyed the on-site spa treatment. The pool area is ideal and has a lovely large pool in comparison to many hotels in Cambodia. We enjoyed walking down to the private pier to watch the sunsets each evening. The chalet/apartment was beautiful with very comfortable beds and sofa. The outdoor bathroom is a lovely feature and so spacious. We had an amazing stay and look forward to returning on our next visit to Kep!
